Safari is closing when I attempt to order OS x 10.6

Question

Safari is closing when I attempt to order OS x 10.6?  Any ideas?

Apple didn't provide a security update for 10.5 root certificates, it's possible it's flagged your machine as a untrustworthy source as it can't set up a secure connection.
Go to your keychain access preferences and set Certificates to
Best Attempt, Best Attempt, Require both, then reboot and try again.
Also make sure your software update is current (Apple menu), there is possibly a browser update, but no 10.5 security update
Also it could be something else
And/or download Firefox web browser and try that, they pulled the bad certs, it's the same so should appear fine to Apple.

Apple is abandonding  10.5 for just about everything unless it's something cross OS X version.
If your upgrading to 10.6 you need a Intel Mac (no PowerPC), 32 or 64 bit processsor. Most 10.5 software should work with a update.
If your planning on going to 10.7, you need a Intel Mac 64 bit processor (no Core Duo's) and nearly all your 10.5/10.6 software won't work and a lot haven't been updated for 10.7 quite yet.
