Safari on MacBook Pro is trying to correct my words from English to Spanish.
I am trying to figure out how to stop Safari from spell checking (red underline on all the words) my English words to Spanish after I did online Spanish homework. My default language is set to English in System Preferences, and it does stop the red underlines after it finally realizes I'm wanting to use English. However, it keeps going back to Spanish every time I exit Safari and go back on.

Is spelling set to correct "Automatic by Language?
This can be set by clicking the "Set up" entry at the bottom of the pop-up menu.

I believe the torbundle package is trying to open itself twice. Has anyone had this problem when trying to use tor on OS X?
This is getting very frustrating! Help please!If you open Activity Monitor do you see a FireFox running? If so delete it.

Corruption on Display in Safari on Macbook Pro
The page screen in Safari using Macbook pro corrupts and the only way to clear it is to highlight it and then click on it to clear corruption. Does anyone know how to fix this?
It only happens on the macbook. On my Imac it is fine.
Changing the resolution of the display only makes things fuzzy.
Any help would be much appreciated.I'm having the same problem, but it's also happening in Mail.app. It is an intermittent problem... a reboot will make it stop happening. It is the same effect as if you were in photoshop and dragged the brightness/contrast slider to the left. So, on a page with photos and a gradient background, the photos get progressively darker the more you scroll. You can even see the gradient background darkening, until the page is almost entirely black, with a few white specks where highlights were (again, just like photoshop).

I tried to take a screenshot of the photo webpage, but clicking my screenshot widget refreshed the page and it cleared up.
I use a Wacom Intuos tablet, but it happens with the trackpad too. Running a MBP 2.16 core duo with 2g ram. Latest Leopard 10.5.5.
I've also noticed some strange artifacts pop up intermittently when using quicksilver. It will look like a cracked glass screen or something, only for a split second, then disappear.
I've had other issues too, my MBP will wake up and think an external monitor is attached, or wake up at 800x600... The Apple store said they would fix it, but it would take almost a week. That was extremely disappointing, I paid for AppleCare, I can't be without my computer for a week! That's ridiculous. -
i can't change the brightness on my macbook pro. i tried the buttons on the keyboard, went to settings and tried to do it from there, didn't work. i have restarted my computer as well and that didn't make a difference. please help.

Cannot boot my MacBook Pro. Tryed CMD+R, reinstall OS, error message :damaged HD. When trying to repait it says it's OK. Yesterday HD wasn't even half full when I turned it off, now it says it's full.
What may have happened is an error and a kernel panic, filling up the logfiles.
What I recommend is first to find a way to backup your data without booting the hard drive directly if it isn't already backed up, and then get Alsoft Disk Warrior to repair the hard drive. You'll probably want an external drive from http://www.macsales.com/
And you'll want to go into Hard drive -> Library -> Logs, System -> Library -> Logs, and Users -> yourname -> Library -> Logs to remove whatever you find there.
If after booting it fills up again, start by removing all startup items in your System Preferences for your user, and rebooting in safe mode with the shift key held down. If the hard drive is over 85% full after removing the logfiles, you may want to look at what were the last applications you installed.
Peer2peer software if installed can be as bad as a virus, because it enables others to access your computer. Insecure wireless networks are just as bad, if they are WEP or no encryption and someone is within 1500 feet of your computer.
If no such software is installed, your RAM probably has failed. Run the hardware test that came with your computer, by booting with the 'D' key.
If nothing shows up there, it can still be the RAM. Especially if you've seen any 4 language screens telling you to restart.

You can upload the files which you want to share in this online storage and then they have sharing options in which you'll will get the link of the file to be sent and send the email. You're good to go!

Encore cs6 crashes on my macbook pro when trying to use timeline
I have recently downloaded encore for my macbook pro and has been working fine apart from everytime I try to use timeline, either way I try to open it, it crashes. It also crashes when I try to preview the DVD.

Depends on how you do it
If you create a partition with Boot Camp and format that partition correctly
Then install Windows your data should not be touched
If you do anything wrong or there is any mishap during the whole procedure you could lose everything

No eSATA to USB. Just a SATA/IDE to USB adapter. Google SATA/IDE to USB adapter and you will get tons of links to buy them. Most likely your local computer electronics store has them, although they might be more expensive buying locally than online.
I have several. You can get either USB 2, which what I recommend, or USB 3. USB is backward compatible so a USB 3 adapter will work on a USB 2 port and a USB 2 adapter will work on a USB 3 port. Backward compatible in both directions.
I suggest a USB 2 type because there have been some problems with certain USB 3 devices, the USB 3 interface used isn't all that good in those certain devices. USB 3 is still fairly new where as USB 2 has been around for over 10 years.

My Macbook Pro takes a long time (41 secs) from start to reach log-in - It used to be almost instantaneous, I'm running Lion OS. I thought this might be because I'd used a lot of disk space but I've now reduced that - I'm only using 40 of the 320 gb available. I have no games and I've unchecked the "re-open windows" option on shutdown. The rest of the preformance (once in) remains good.
41 seconds is actually a little faster then normal. Boot from completely off is normally around 45-50 seconds.
Your computer never ever came on almost instantaneously from completely off. You are confusing waking up from sleep mode and booting the computer from completely off. -

Maybe some other app. In SystemPreferences->Users&Groups->LoginItems tab: remove all entries with the minus sign underneath. This will not uninstall anything, you have to start those apps by hand now. Restart.

Are yoy sure that Apeture is not in the Applications folder of the new system? If it is move it to the trash and the App Store will let you download Aperture from it.
You will need to make sure you use the same Apple ID you used to purchase it in the past.

Have CS 5 Installed on my iMac and works ok. But installed on my new MacBook Pro it won't open NEF files from my Nikon D810. Displays NEF icons, but when I try and open them the response is: Make sure latest RAW updates are installed. If problem persists follow link: http://www.adobe.com/go/kb407111. Have installed Bridge 5.0.2.4; Raw Ref Version 7.0.0.308; DNG converter_8_7_1.dmg; Bridge 5.0.2 Update 2. Also same problem with Lightroom which I don't normally use. In the link you posted it states that the Nikon 810 requires ACR 8.6 or newer.
Version of ACR are specific to versions of Photoshop. You cannot use 8.6 nor even 7.0.in CS5.
I believe that ACR 6.7 is the latest that will work with CS5, so make sure you have this installed and get rid of ACR 7.
Having 2 versions of ACR will cause problems.
You have already downloaded DNG Converter 8.7.1.
Have you double clicked the DMG file to allow you to install DNG Converter on your computer?
Be aware that DNG converter is a stand-along application and not a plug-in.
You need to open DNG converter at select the FOLDER that contain your .NEF files.
Don't open the folder and try to select individual files, it doesn't work that way.
After converting your D810 files to DNGs you can then open the DNGs in CS5
The problem is your camera didn't exist when CS5 & its version of ACR was developed.
i don't use Lightroom, but the list mentions Lightroom 5.6 as needed to open D819 so your 3.6 version of LR won't cut it.
