  • Assign Multiple Sales Org for One Plant in STO process

    Hi Experts,
Aware that I can assign multiple sales org to 1 plant (relationship: many to many).
I am trying to create STOs to supplying plant and assigning them to different sales organization but encountered problem.
    Example:
Supplying Plant 1000 - Sales Org 1000A (food) and 1000B (apparel)
    Receiving Plant 1100
Plant 1100 wants to issue 2 STOs to Plant 1000 - 1 for each Sales Org (for instance STO1 to food division, and STO2 for apparel division).
However, when I tried creating STO in the system, noticed that in the shipping tab (item details) the sales org, DC has been assigned to 1 particular assignment and data is locked.
Tried to get into SPRO to configure and define the shipping data for plants but noticed that it's 1 to 1 relationship (SPRO - IMG - MM - PO - Set up Stock Transport Order - Define Shipping Data).
    How can this be done?

You can set different sales areas (~sales organisation) for one plant in SAP - based on issuing SLoc provided STO between storage locations is activated.
SPRO > Materials Management > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up Stock Transport Order > Set Up Stock Transfer Between Storage Locations > Define Shipping Data for Stock Transfers Between Storage Locations

  • Plant to Plant sales

    Dear all
Under one company code, there are three plants. Purchase org. is one.
Can i sales take place between plants? Or
Plant to plant stock transfer with sales order(PO) is possible?
    Kindly clarify
    Regards

    Hi,
There is no provision in SAP to sales between plants within the same comp code,
you can either transfer the stock by Transfer posting MB1B ( MvTyp 301), or you can create STO here.

  • Difference between Service Organization & Plant

    I ma new to SAP
What is the difference between Service Orgnization & Plant.
    Please do the needful..

    Corporate Structure
    Definition
The material master has a hierarchical structure resembling the organizational structure of a company. Some material data is valid at all organizational levels, while other data is valid only at certain levels. The organizational units are as follows:
    Client
    Company Code
    Plant
    Storage Location
    Purchasing Organization
    Sales Organization
    Warehouse Number
    Storage Type
    Structure
The client is the top level of the organizational level. Several company codes can be assigned to one client. In turn, several plants can be assigned to a company code, and several storage locations assigned to a plant.
Plants must always be consecutively numbered for all company codes. Consequently, plants assigned to different company codes cannot have the same number. However, the numbers of storage locations can be repeated, as long as they are assigned to different plants.
Service providers are members of internal or external service organizations and are represented using:
    Service and sales organizations
    Service centers, service workshops
    Service technicians
    External service providers (vendors, contractors)
You manage all data that is required for processing business scenarios with vendors in a vendor master record.
Service recipients are also members of internal or external organizations. Internal service recipients are internal company organizational units (for example, cost centers). External service recipients are represented using:
    Customers
    Customer employees
Customer data is managed in a customer master record. Not only the data concerning the ordering party belongs here, but also data about the goods recipient and the invoice recipient. You can represent complex customer structures as customer hierarchies.
By integrating Customer Service in the Accounting component, the organizational units of Financial Accounting and Controlling are linked directly to the service processes. Service organizations are represented in the finance and controlling area using:
    Company codes
    Controlling areas
    Business areas
The Logistics areas Materials Management and Stockkeeping enable you to perform resource management using organizational units such as plants and storage locations. Spare parts and external services are procured via the purchasing organizations and purchasing groups.
You can group the service technicians responsible for performing the services using work centers. Planner groups at a planning plant are responsible for scheduling the services to be performed by these work centers.
The units of the sales organization must be represented for the purchase of spare parts and services. You can represent this organization using:
    Sales organization
    Distribution channels
    Sales areas
    Shipping and loading points

  • Transfer of sales orders from one plant to another

    Dear all,
    My requirement is as follows:
I have created some 500 sales orders (open) in one sales org+plant.
Now due to plant shifting to other area, I want to transfer all the above open sales orders to another sales org+plant.
One option is to create them manually. But that is time consuming and prone to errors.
Second option is to upload thru LSMW. That too is very tedious.
Third option is to extend/assign new plant to the old sales area and change the plant in the orders. But I want in the new sales org + new plant.
Is there any other option by which I can transfer the above sales orders from one plant to another?
    Regards
    SAPshed

    Hi SAPshed,
The problem is not the change of plant, which is standard functionality, but the change of sales organization.
An awful lot of information depends on the Sales Organization: Company code (!!), customers, materials, prices, profit center, etc.
SAP does not even admit creating a sales order in a Sales Organization A with reference to a sales order with a sales organization B.
IMHO your best option is to try to maintain the current Sales Orders with the current Sales Organization and change the Sales Order in VA02 (your third option).
If you are absolutely sure that all materials and customers are created for the new Sales Area in the same way and that prices (discounts) are the same, you might want to do a direct update to VBAK table to change the Sales Organization (nasty!), but be prepared for the consequences (no SAP support in case of problems, you are on your own).
Therefore if you insist on a different Sales Organization, then option 2) will be your best best.
    Best Regards,
    Franck
P.S. IMHO it is Best Practice to have a unique Sales Organization / Company Code.

It is possible to crate SO stock - STO.
    Configure the STO in customizing.
    Use SD-delivery route
Create Delivery from STO (VL10B or VL10D)

  • Sales Org assign to Plant

    Hello Everyone,
I would need your help to confirm the following is true or clarify some doubts:
    1. I understand that Sales Org (SOrg) is assigned to Plant   , thus :  Sorg := Plant
    2. Does this also Implies : SOrg + Distr Channel := Plant? Not necessary right? For this case, its not true / an invalid assignment right?
    3. Plant is assigned to Sales Org + Distr Channel.  Is it implicit that the Reverse is true? Is it implicit that Always the reverse is true, in general, for Any other organizational unit assignment relationships?
I believe that Sales Org := Plant and Plant  := Sales org + Distr Channel  and the reverse of each of both relationships are not true. Please confirm.
    4. Sales Org is Assigned to Plant but Plant is not Assigned to Sales Org right? Plant is also higher level in the organizational structure than Sales Org right?
    Thanks.
    Sincerely

    Hi,
I guess this will help you
How to Configure a New Plant in SAP?
Plant 0001 is the SAP defaults provide for your reference.
OX14 - Define Valuation Area (Tick one only- Once your system go live, no more changes) Most company take the SAP recommended choice - Value Material Stock at Plant level Value Material Stock at Plant or Company Level If you valuate material stocks at plant level, the plant is the valuation area. If you valuate material stocks at company code level, the company code is the valuation area. The decision you make applies to the whole client.
    OX10 - Create / Change / View Plants
OVXB - Create / Change / View Division
    OX18 - Assign Plant to company code e.g. 0001 - 0001 - All Plants Px1 - Plant Px1 Px2 u2013 Plant Px2
OX19 - Assignment of company code to the Controlling Area
OB38 - Assign company code to Credit Control Area
OMJ7 - Assign business area to Plant/Valuation area and division e.g. Plant Px1 - Business Area Bx1 Bx2 Assign Valuation area to the Business Area .e.g. Valuation area Vx1 - Business Area Bx1 Business Area Bx2
OMS0 - Assign Factory Calendar to the Plant and Business Area The plant plays an important role in the following areas: If you want to create by copying from existing plant: 1. Copy existing plant A to new plant B. All of plant Au2019s data in throughout the IMG will be created/copied for plant B. In some cases with plant A data that is not desired. In step 3 you must go through and correct invalid entries 2. Correct address information 3. Correct data copied to plant B as plant A (a) In Sales and Distribution -> Shipping -> Picking -> Determine Picking Location -> Assign Picking Locations (OVL3), delete entry where Shipping Point = plant A and Plant = plant B and press save. (b) In Sales and Distribution -> Shipping -> Basic Shipping Functions -> Shipping Point Determination -> Assign shipping points u2013 wherever plant B is found the shipping point is plant A. This must be changed to plant B. (c) In Enterprise Structure -> Maintain Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution -> Assign shipping point to plant u2013 delete plant B shipping point from the plant A assignment. (d) In Enterprise Structure -> Maintain Structure -> Definition -> Sales and Distribution -> Define, copy, delete, check shipping point u2013 copy shipping point plant A to shipping point plant B. Correct the description in the define section of this node. (e) In Sales and Distribution -> Shipping -> Picking -> Determine Picking Location -> Assign Picking Locations (OVL3), copy plant A entry to plant B entry, changing all data to plant B. (f) Check with Reorder buying group to determine MRP controllers for new plant. Remove plant A MRP controllers from plant B, and add controllers received from reorder buying group. • Stock transfer between plant to plant in blocked status

    Hi Gurus,
Can anybody know how to use some mov. type to transfer restricted status between plant to plant?
    Many thanks in advanced.
    Luiz Geraldi

    Luiz,
You cannot move 'blocked' or 'restricted' stock in this manner. This is not supported in ECC 5.0 and I would not think ECC 6.0 would be any different in this regard as this is a basic rule within standard SAP although I would think that in certain situations it would be beneficial to be able manage this in a simple move.
    - As others have correctly pointed out, you have to change the stock status to 'unrestricted use', transfer/receive it (either using mvt 301, 303/305, 351/101, 641/101, 643/101 etc depending on the stock transfer mechanism used between the plants) and then finally change the stock status back to 'blocked'.
    - Another option would to be to post an inventory adjustment using mvts 701/702 in both the plants and then change stock status in receiving plant to 'blocked'.
    - Design a custom ABAP program to perform the sequence of movements in a single transaction. I think it would be important to get the timing right to avoid incorrect booking of stock.
    - The movements could be also be linked in a single transaction using a workflow solution although I am not sure how simple or complex the solution might be.
Unfortunately, the quantity strings associated with movement types are hard-coded by SAP. So, it would not be possible to achieve this move using a custom movement type without any modifications.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to list incompleted sales order documents by plant or profit center

Hi, Is it possible to to list incompleted sales order documents by plant or profit center? How?
    Thanks very much.

    Hi
You can have list of open sales orders wrt to plant and probably it may be useful to you.
This can be done with configuration so that you can add plant to the selection criteria in the T code VA05.
Goto IMG - Sales & Distribution - Sales - Lists - Define Selection Criteria - Execute
Click  New Entries and enter  the below fields  save the changes.
    Program Name - SAPMV75A
    TRG (Transaction Group) - 0
    Display Group - K
    Event - SELK
    It - 8
    Field Name - WERKS
Goto VA05 and now you can see the field Plant in the Fur Sel Criteria.

  • Plant to plant subcontracting against sales order

    hi
         my scenario is like this
two plants A and B under one company code, its repair scenario in this sales order come in plant b ,in this repairing we have 5 process out of which one process has to be carried out in plant 1,so  for that  we will do subcontracting against that sales order with plant b. so how to handle subcontracting with plant a against sales order.
Edited by: AMIT RANE on Mar 4, 2009 7:55 AM

Purpose: - Subcontracting is also possible in conjunction with sales order  The subcontracting orders are account-assigned to a slaes order . Thus, the components are not transferred (using a transfer posting) to the "stock of material provided to vendor" but are directly withdrawn from the sales order stock the time of the goods receipt. The material manufactured is also posted to the SO
The cost of subcontracting is then debited to the SO.
Since the components are not transferred to the "stock of material provided to vendor", it is recommended that you use a transfer posting to transfer the provided components to a new storage location (for example, 9999). This enables you to obtain an overview of those stocks that are physically located at the subcontractor. This information is particularly important when you carry out a physical inventory of the Project stocks.
    Features: -
Withdrawal from Stock of Mat. Provided for Project: -
For components that are managed in Project stock, you can define whether the components are to be withdrawn directly from each Project or from the stock of material provided to vendor. You manage this via the dependent requirements indicator for individual customer requirements and collective requirements (MARC-SBDKZ).
You can maintain this indicator in the following places:
In the MRP view of the material master record (MRP 4)
In the explosion types for the BOM item (in Customizing for Production in the step Basic Data -> Bill of Material -> Item Data -> Define explosion types)
Configuring the explosion types has priority over the configuration in Inventory Management.
If the indicator is set at Collective requirements only (2), the materials are withdrawn from the stock of material provided to vendor. If this indicator is set any other way, the system withdraws materials from Project stock.
    Regarding Subcontracting Challan: -
Go to OMJJ, select the field "movement type" and press enter
Enter movement type "311" and double click on "Field selection (Enjoy)" under Dialog Structure on left side.
here "New Entries" and add field "LIFNR" (Vendor- plant as vendor )
Now in MIGO, at the time of transfer posting of components using movement type "311 E", specify the vendor code of the Subcontracting PO (i.e. Subcontractor)
Now create Subcontracting Challan in J1IF01 for material document of 311 E movement type.
Also check in SPRO > Logistics - General > Tax on Goods Movements > India > Business Transactions > Subcontracting > Maintain Movement Type Groups > here for Movement Type Group "0001", Movement Type "311 E" should be maintained.
Then do GR against PO and refer the Subcontracting Challan here.
And then do reconciliation in J1IFQ for the GR Document against Subcontracting Challan.
Also check in SPRO > Logistics - General > Tax on Goods Movements > India > Business Transactions > Subcontracting > Maintain Movement Type Groups > here for Movement Type Group "0002", Movement Type "543 E" should be maintained.
    Follow the below mentioned process;
    Process Steps: -
    1. OX09 - Create Storage Location as "9999" for Subcontractor Location
    2. MB1B - Do Transfer Posting of material from RM Warehouse to this Storage Location via movement type "311 E" (Instead of doing 541)
    3. Now go to J1IF01 - here use material document of movement type "311 E" and create Subcontracting challan. (If required)
Prerequisite: - In SPRO > Logistics - General > Tax on Goods Movements > India > Business Transactions > Subcontracting > Maintain Movement Type Groups > Here for Movement Type Group "0001" (For issues), maintain movement type "311 E" also along with 541.
Rest all; refer subcontracting challan during GR and then reconciliation and completion, etc... Will be same as usual.
Note: - At the time of GR, consume components from storage location "9999" (for 543 movement type)
    regards

there is a report which extracts A,B or C Classification for products based on their sales. Intercompany processes are include plant-to-plant sales the report needs to be upgraded to take into accout these volumes.
So I need to know about plant-to-plant sales as in where can we find it?

  • Ristrict sales order creation at plant level through authorizations

    Hi  ,
I want to ristrict users to create sales orders for specific plants . Can anyone please tell me how to do it through authorizations.
I am not able to find any authorization object for plant in VA01 and i have tried to  add object from other module like MM or PP and maintain plant values but still it is not ristrict users to create  sales order for that plant.
    any other object for plant.
    Thanks & regards ,
    Nitin Patki

Generally we control parameters like Sales Organization, Distribution channel, division, sales document type, billing document type  etc through roles in SD but if you want to block the creation of sales order based on plant, then take the help of FI/MM people because if they will not give the authorization for Profit centre (in case you have taken that plant as a profit centre), The user will not be able to proceed further without profit centre.
    Reward points if it helps,

  • STO setting - sales area of supplying plant

Can anyone advise why SAP only allow one sales area to be defined for the delivering plant corresponding to the receiving plant in the STO configuration?  What if there are many sales area defined delivering plant in SD?
    Thanks
    Peter

    Hi Peter,
In STO scenario, the material we  receive from other plant , basically the plant not belongs to our company code are sales area.
for documentation purpose , we need to show exactly from where we have receive the material.
if you see one setting spro --> materials management --> purchase order --> set stock transport ordes --> define plants.
in the above setting , we say one plant is vendor and one plant is the customer.
    thanks
