Sales Document Numbers Customizations

Dear Forum Members, I am an ABAP-SD consultant working in a ECC 6.0 project in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
My client wants to implement Sales Document Numbers as following:
for Certain Customers, the sales document numbers should start with
ABCD0001  where ABCD = Customer Alpha Prefix
I can use external number range technique but it doesn't increment automatically.
How can I use external number technique and still can increment with the help of any user-exit available (or w/o any userexit).
Your help will be highly appreciated.

Hi,
When creating a document with external number assignment, you must enter a document number that lies within the corresponding number range.
Procedure
1. Determine which external number ranges are provided for the relevant document type. Choose the function "Maintain number range" of the document type for this purpose.
2. Choose a number range and note its number.
3. Enter the number of the desired number range.

    You are defently right as the buffering no in SNUM OR SNRO only determines that how many no. the system should keep in reserve between specific no ranges for some predicted requirement.
    Further, If you have no problem could you please tell me why is that setting required. As we all are mapping some senario, whats the special requiremtn you got regarding this. If you couldn't share it here, please send it to [email protected]
    However your solution lies in userexit, as ones i worked with no ranges of invoice so i know that we have the solution in user exit, and i tried to get it but failed to get as it's  its difficult to find out and time taking too. So better talk to your ABAPer.

    Unlike FI (RF_BELEG) and Excise (CIN),  in SD (RV_BELEG) fiscal year is not part of the number range.
    Your requirement is not possible as such.
    During closing you can change the last number to, say 199999, so the next document fetches the number 200000. But the user can make a document in year 2009-10 with document date in 2008-09.

  • Pricing change in sales documents

    Hi,
    Anyone aware of a FM that can change (redetermine) the prices for all sales documents whenever there is a change in the pricing condition records? I want to pass sales document numbers to an FM...and if there is a update in the condition record of the corresponding condition type used in the sales document, then the prices for that sales document should be redetermined....
    I searched for a repricing FM, couldn't find one...any help on this?

  • Load Setup table using Sales Document Ranges

    Hi,
    Is there any way to load the Setup table for Billing using Multiple Sales Document Ranges or Multiple single values. 
    Since the field has no option of Multiple Entries.
    I don't want to execute multiple setup table with different ranges.
    I have to use the Sales Document number as its needed to load on the data for a particular period using Sales Document numbers.

    Hi SB,
    If Sales Documnent Number is your selection criteria, as you rightly said, there is no way you can have multiple selections. I don't think you have any option other than loading different mutually exclusive sales document number ranges. You can schedule these ranges in parallel and that way you can save time. Hope this makes sense.

  • Data loss during the initialization of sales documents

    Hi,
    I have to initialize all my sales documents data with the extractors 2LIS_11_VAITM, 2LIS_11_VAHDR and 2LIS_11_VASCL.
    I have done those steps :
    1 - Clear set up tables for application 11.
    2 - Fill the setup table for application 11.
    3 - Do Init with data transfer of those extractors.
    But when I look the data the next day (after the deltas which are running in the night), I have a loss of som sales documents.
    Can anybody explain me why ?

    Have you locked the application tables during your initialization process..?
    You have to lock the application tables(so that users cannot create sales orders) until the below process completed.
    1)filling setup tables.
    2)Run IP init with data transfer.
    Now you can unlock, because we have delta queue now and any orders created will be updated to delta queue and this will be moved to BI in next delta.
    Solution:
    Now if you know the sales document numbers run the full repiar IP with sales document as selection.You will get the missed records.and you delta will work fine

    I could not find the "tolerance" described by you. Please read:
    Delivery block (document header)
    Indicates if an entire sales document (a sales order, for example) is blocked for delivery.
    Procedure
    The system can propose the delivery block indicator according to sales document type. You can also enter a block manually in the header. A block in the header applies to the entire document. If you want to block one or more specific items, you can enter the block at item level.
    The delivery block at header level is only effective if this block is assigned to the corresponding delivery type in the Customzing table (TVLSP). Regardless of the settings in Customizing, the delivery block is always effective at schedule line level.
    Example
    You can block delivery automatically for certain sales document types (for example, free of charge deliveries) where it is important that someone checks the details before shipping takes place.
    Dependencies
    If you use a credit limit check, the system can automatically block delivery. You can change this block. However, as soon as you change any of the values in the sales document, the system automatically reapplies the delivery block.
    So, in abstract, the whole document will be blocked, depending of this customization.

    Hi,
    As per my understanding, you are trying to load data from DSO to cube on sales document number selection.
    To see the data in ODS, Right click on ODS -
    > Manage -
    > Contents ---> Click on Active table.
    You can see records in table. Sort the entries, then you can find the sales document numbers in order.
    You have to do full load.

  • Add serial numbers in sales document

    Hi everyone
    In case of third-party businnes we use the workflow sales order -> purchase order -> invoice.
    In this case we have to add the serial numbers in the sales document under Extras->Technical Objects.
    Is there any function or bapi that I can use???
    PS:
    I've try the combination:
    SERNR_ADD_TO_AU and
    IWOL_WV_ADD_OBJECTS but is not working since the second function expects to have an equipment with the material nr and the serial nr that I try to add ( and this equipment is not existing yet ).

    Hi,
    Have you tried function modules SERIALPROFILE_CHECK,  SERNR_ADD_TO_DOCUMENT or SERNR_MAINTAIN_IN_DOCUMENT?
    Also check the function modules in table T377X for Serial Procedures related to SD (e.g. SDAP is for "Post serial numbers for SD order" and may have function module SERIAL_LISTE_POST_AU as its form value).
    By the way, in VA02 the function for Extras -> Technical Objects branches to include program MV45AF0F_FCODE_POTO, form FCODE_POTO.  Investigating or debugging this logic may provide you some clues if none of the functions suggested above are of use.

  • How can i enter multiple sales order numbers to set up table

    I need to reload about 8,000 sales orders to the set up table and the SO numbers are very scattered, so i can not enter them as a range. In transaction OLI7BW Sales Document field has no multiple selection option, therefore i have to enter the documents ONE BY ONE! Could you please tell me if there any faster way to enter them?

  • List the intercompany billing numbers from sale order numbers.

    suppose i have a set of sale order numbers. is there any report can list the intercompany billing numbers related to those sale order numbers?  i don't want to use VA03 because it can display only one sale order number.

    Hi Anek,
    Run the transaction code VA05. Click on the Further Selection Criteria, Select the check box 'Sales Document Type' and click OK. System will ask for the Sale Document Type. ENter the inter company Document Type, Press Enter and select the date range press Enter.
    System will list the orders.

  • How to send Sales Document Number and Item to BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST?

    Hello SAPients,
    We are using BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST to create an accounting document similar to what FB01 does, in FB01 you can type the number and position of a Sales Document even if you are using an Account Receivable account number. But in the BAPI, the  ACCOUNTRECEIVABLE table doesn't have a field to include those numbers. How should I pass the sales order number and item to the BAPI? I have tried several things but every time I receive more complicated error messages.

  • Unable to block creation of sales document from Quotation thru user status

    Dear Experts,
    I have maintained a status profile in my Quotation document through the use of user status. I have defined a status to forbid creation of sales document if the status has not yet been set to "Approved".
    However, even when the status is not yet "Approved", it still allows me to create subsequent sales document from this Quotation.
    Anything that I have missed here?

    It should not happen.
    Please check the Object types for which the status profile is created. It should be for either Sales Order header or Sales order Item.
    Make sure that the "create sales document" is "forbiddden" for the initial status only.
    Also please check Low- High numbers for each status.

  • 0DOC_CATEGR-Sales Document Category of Reference Doc. in Order Header

    Hi,
    I am extracting the standard datasource for Sales Order Header 2Lis_11_VAHDR to BW.I am getting error while loading data.I checked it in PSA there are around 30 records which were showing the error with the message
    "Record 985 :Contents M from field VGTYP_AK(mapped to 0DOC_CATEGR) cannot be converted in type DEC ->longtext RSAR 198" and
    "Error in an arithmetic operation in record 985     RSAR117".
    I am not getting this error while loading the Order Item Data.
    'M' is the Document Category of Reference Doc. in Order Header.For sales document type "RE".
    In R/3 the reference was taken on Inv.No instead of Order number and also there is a User Exit written on MV45AFZZ program to check the referred quantities and also zero quantiity lines in case of back split.
    As there is no customization done in BW and the only customization was in terms of an User Exit in R/3 please let me know what is the reason of this error.

    Assume the data mapping in transfer rule and update rule is correct
    Maybe you can check the info object definition of 0DOC_CATEGR in your system. Based on the error message you mentioned below, it looks like 'data type' of the object concerned is NUMC? In our system it is CHAR (standard BC)...

    I read somewhere that one of the functionality in EHP3 is we can create sales document like debit memo request and credit memo request from the archived billing document. I am working on EHP3 system only but i am not able to create the sales document. the system throws an error that billing document doesnt exist

    For rebate processing, you can store your company's check logic in the interface of the Business Add-In (BAdI) Enhancements for Rebate Processing.
    So check if you have activated the business function.
