I would like to control Numbering Range  Year Wise  Like 2008-2009 Should be Started Numberings Range From  10000000 TO  2000000 (2008-2009) , 30000000 TO 40000000 (2009-2010) Automatically. How we can control in this scenario.

Unlike FI (RF_BELEG) and Excise (CIN),  in SD (RV_BELEG) fiscal year is not part of the number range.
Your requirement is not possible as such.
During closing you can change the last number to, say 199999, so the next document fetches the number 200000. But the user can make a document in year 2009-10 with document date in 2008-09.

    Hi,
    When creating a document with external number assignment, you must enter a document number that lies within the corresponding number range.
    Procedure
    1. Determine which external number ranges are provided for the relevant document type. Choose the function "Maintain number range" of the document type for this purpose.
    2. Choose a number range and note its number.
    3. Enter the number of the desired number range.

  • Increment Sales Document Numbers

    If we want the system to increment sales document numbers(like how we increment item numbers) how can we do that.
    EX: For Inquiry I have Internal number Range 01(1000 to 2000) assigned to it, now when i create inquiry, system should propose the SD num as 1000, 1010, 1020........(incrementing 10 at a time)

    You are defently right as the buffering no in SNUM OR SNRO only determines that how many no. the system should keep in reserve between specific no ranges for some predicted requirement.
    Further, If you have no problem could you please tell me why is that setting required. As we all are mapping some senario, whats the special requiremtn you got regarding this. If you couldn't share it here, please send it to [email protected]
    However your solution lies in userexit, as ones i worked with no ranges of invoice so i know that we have the solution in user exit, and i tried to get it but failed to get as it's  its difficult to find out and time taking too. So better talk to your ABAPer.

    I am trying to create Sales Order from WEB UI(CRM 7.0). I need to enter billing type this sales document. But, I am not able to find this Field neither in CRM WEB UI nor VA02.
    Can you please tell me, how can I enter billing type for Sales document or change Billing type for sales document.

    Hi Sandeep,
    sounds like you refer to the ERP Sales Order in the CRM WebClient UI? Not sure whether the billing type is available in the standard, but are you aware of the enhancements concepts of the LORD (see SAP note 1224179)? In addition, you should use the AET as outlined in the FAQ note 1446253.

    I have created service selling(order type RAS) and when billing it I get error as:
    "Sales document type RAS cannot be invoiced with billing type F2". I have changed order billing type like FS,F2 via trcode VOV8 but I am still getting the same error.

    If it is Order related billing check in VTFA -item-correct Item cat is there or not..(I guess as ur itm cat would be TAO..)
    Also check if you have assigned correct billing type to ur sdoc type.
    Also check in VOV7/8  that all billing data (billing relevance) is corrcetly maintained or not..

    We need to load from DSO to Cube by splitting the load on Sales order Document number  because of the volume.

    As per my understanding, you are trying to load data from DSO to cube on sales document number selection.
    To see the data in ODS, Right click on ODS -
    > Manage -
    > Contents ---> Click on Active table.
    You can see records in table. Sort the entries, then you can find the sales document numbers in order.
    You have to do full load.

  • Exit for assigning external number range to sales document

    hello friends,
    can anyone help with this issue.in tcode 'vn01' we are assiging internal number range but we dont want that number range that is external number range rather than using internal number for sales document.i.e the number range should start with 'ufc'followed by some number range.

    Hi Sirisha,
    I believe you can assign external number range manually by using transaction SNRO and then assign the number range before entering into the main screen of  VA01 or saving the document.
    The number range is linked to the order type (VBAK-AUART), this is done in customizing.
    For different sales area it need to have different number ranges for the same order type.
    Please see that the same sales doument number should not be linked to several sales orders which are to be created,if I am not wrong

  • Load Setup table using Sales Document Ranges

    Hi,
    Is there any way to load the Setup table for Billing using Multiple Sales Document Ranges or Multiple single values. 
    Since the field has no option of Multiple Entries.
    I don't want to execute multiple setup table with different ranges.
    I have to use the Sales Document number as its needed to load on the data for a particular period using Sales Document numbers.

    Hi SB,
    If Sales Documnent Number is your selection criteria, as you rightly said, there is no way you can have multiple selections. I don't think you have any option other than loading different mutually exclusive sales document number ranges. You can schedule these ranges in parallel and that way you can save time. Hope this makes sense.

  • Sales Document number in FBL5N

    Hi Friends,
    In FBL5N (customer line item report) there is a field "Sales Document" Field Name "VBEL2". But the accounting document which is generated in FBL5N for billing document from SD in not populating the sales order number in this field, this field is blank.
    this field is getting populated for down payments with relevant sales document number and not for invoice document.
    Our client wants the sales order number to be reported in customer line item report for their tracking.
    Can any one please suggest how this can be achieved.

    You can map Sales Order number to either 'Assignment' or 'Reference' fields in accounting document using Copy control function in SD. Please use transaction VTFA, this needs to be maintained for combinations of billing type and sales document type. Please ensure these fields are not currently used in your system for other information.
    Following fields can be mapped to 'Assignment' or 'Reference'.
    A Purchase order number
    B Sales order number
    C Delivery number
    D External delivery number
    E Current billing document number
    F External delivery no. if available, otherwise delivery no.
    If you currently use 'Assignment' or 'Reference' fields for other details, you can use user exit EXIT_SAPLV60B_008.

    It is possible to maintain Billing Plan in Sales Document Type (VOV8), as well as Item Category level (VOV7). As you want it at Item level, maintain the same in Item Category Configuration at Item level & it will by default be captured in Sales Order at Item level.
    Step 1: Sales Document Type
    IMG > Sales and Distribution > Sales > Sales Documents >
    Sales Document Header:
    1. Sales Document Type:The sales document types represent the different business transactions, such as Inquiry, Quotation, Sales Order, etc. To create new sales order type, always copy as with reference to similar sales order. If possible use standard sales order.
    2. Define Number Ranges For Sales Documents: Maintain number range with discussion with core team.
    3. Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types:
    A. Combine sales organizations / Combine distribution channels / Combine divisions: Ensure to maintain these, else Sales Order creation will give error.
    B. Assign sales order types permitted for sales areas: Assign only required Sales Order Types to required Sales Area. This will minimize selection of Sales Order Type as per sales area.
    Sales Document Item:
    1. Define Item Categories: If possible use Standard Item Category. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Assign Item Categories: If possible, use standard. Formula for deriving item category: Sales Document Type + Item Category Group + Usage + Higher Level Item Category = Item Category

  • How can I detect the posting of a sales document?

    Hi all,
    I have written an ABAP program which creates automatically a number of sales documents following the sequence: sales order, delivery, goods issue, billing, sales order, delivery, goods issue, billing, ... and so on.
    My problem is that although I get the number of the created sales document when my program proceeds to create the next document in the sequence sometimes this is not possible because the previous document has not been actually posted yet.
    For the creation of the documents I use either recorded transactions or BAPIs and COMMIT WORK AND WAIT.
    At the moment I query the relevant SAP tables in a loop to find out whether a document has been posted.
    Is there any other way to find out when a document gets actually posted?

    What is infinitely? In really bad situations I have already seen 20 minutes and more (stress test or general update problems (table overflow with subsequent stop of update tasks)).
    Also selecting entries of update tables (e.g. VBHDR / see above) is as good - it's not a big difference if you go for this or the document table. I prefer the document tables: then case the update task is gone, but hasn't finished correct I can only discover with document table checks.

    At present  There is no provision to update excise invoice number in Sales document flow.
    There are no appends defined for table VBFA . With the help of  Abap developer u can try for an append structure.
    But in that case development will include changes in excise invoice program, to update the table.
    Do the anaylsis carefully before any development.
    There is one alternative available , u can develop a sales register which will contain both excise and commercial invoice along with sales order number.Generate lay out for suitable search.
