Sales order:allow partial  delivery

please explain the  concept of  partial delivery in   the  sales  order.

Hi,
In a sales order let us assume you have entered  20 Nos. for a particular item say for example "Sam iitem1" .  You may deliver multile times thru' delivery challan may be likve 10, 5, 5.
This is called partial delivery.  Sales order will have detail of the partial delivery quantities and balance quantiites to be delivered.  Till the complete sales order quantity, the sales order status will remain as "Open".  After completion of all the sales order quantity the status will change as " Closed"
Hope this will help you.

  • Modification of Sales Order after Partial Delivery

Here is a statement, I couldn't completely understand:
"Once partial deliveries have been shipped, you cannot change any quantity or dates in the order. If data changes, the order item has to be rejected and re-entered"
I made an order and went on till the post goods issue. I came back to the order and apparently I can change the quantities as long as it is not less than the delivered and even the pricing procedure too. So I am not sure what this statement is referring to. It is one of the correct answers of an MCQ of a SD Certification.

    Hie,
Lets suppose order qty is 10
    PGI done for 4 Qty
When  I go to sales order and try to change the qty (what ever it may be, less than 4 qty or more than 10 qty), the system will prompt a warning message stating that "Delivery of                   4 EA has already been made for item 000010".
Message no. V4096. Now in OVAH, if I change this message to error status then the statement becomes absolutley true. Not untill that time this statement is true, because we can change the qty's of the material in sls ordr even if PGI has been done for the same.

  • Price Update on Sales Order - After partial delivery and invoice

    Hi all,
I have created a sales order of 10 tons and a despatch advice of 5 tons and invoice of 5 tons. Now when i want to update price on sales order then system give me "Update" button in grey.
My client wants to update price on those sales orders too which are partially despatched. Is that possible to do this in SAP? If yes then how?
    Please respond.
    Best Regards,
    AI.

    Hi
    I can suggest 2 alternatives .
!.Create  a debit memo request sothat prices can be updated along with other details and changes can be tracked.
For voluminous data  you can create a BAPI for Sales order creation and give related paramenters.
    2. Create a BDC and update pricies for all partially processed sales order in KONV table using KNUMV .
This a bit tricky ,as there are chances of dumps and sensetive data becomes unstable ,also when you change by updating condition ,you dont get earlier prices and change is not controlled and almost irreversible.
I suggest first approach ,with better tracking , analysis and less disturbance to standard system.
    Check business object  Sales Order
    Function module : BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT1
You can take help of ABAP developer for creating BAPI.
    I hope this helps

  • Forbid partial delivery of item, but allow partial delivery of sales order

    HI,
have someone faced situation when it is required to allow partial delivery for sales order with restriction that item in sales order should be delivered fully. For example:
    SO has following items:
    Item1     MAT1     10 un
    Item2     MAT2     10 un
    Item3     MAT3     10 un
Material MAT3 only 5 un available in storage. MAT1 and MAT2 are available.
The system should create delivery for Items 1 and 2, but not for 3. Next time when creating delivery from SO and MAT3 is available, delivery is created por item3.
I have found Partial delivery indicator on client data. This allows partial delivery.  Then I have found partial delivery indicator on sales order item data (Shipping).
Is it possible to combine those two indicators to ensure client request?
Can this requirement be covered in another way?
    Thanx in advance!
    Brucke

You can achieve the requirment using customer-material information record.
In t.code VD51, maintain customer-material information record. Here you can find a field called partial delivery/item field. Here you maintain value C- Only complete delivery allowed. Leave the max.Par.deliveries field blank.
This will make sure that the partial deliveries are NOT allowed for a particular customer/material combination. If you maintain this setting at customer master level (t.code VD02), then this will apply for all materials.

  • Unable to update purchase order after partial delivery

    bold Issue:
    After upgrading from v2005 > v2007:
    1) We created a PO with two different purchase items :
    row 1: 10 pcs Item x
    row 2: 15 pcs item Y
    2) create a Goods Receipt PO based on the PO row 2 (15 pcs Item Y) so this row will be closed in the PO.
    3) after saving the GRPO item Y is set as a non purchase item (deselected  the tick box "Purchase Item" on the Item master), because the supplier will not be able to deliver this item again.
    4) After changing item Y, we want to update the amount of Item X to for example 11 (instead of 10). This item is still a purchase item > while updating the PO the following error appears:
    [Purchase Order - Rows - Item No.][line: 2] , 'The item is not a purchase item (2)'  [Message 131-10]
In v2005 it was possible to follow the above procedure, however since the upgrade of v2007 the error appears.
The problem is that that it happens very often that the suppliers change the items, so they cannot be delivered anymore.
bold  Below the response of SAP Support:
    Line: -
Yes, I understand what you mean that the item you want to deliver is the other item PQ which is still a purchase item. However, the system does the checking based on document level, and not filtering only per Open rows. Hence, even if the item for B8 is fully closed, the system still detects that there is a non-purchase item in an open document (B8).
In order to update the other item PQ, please set the item B8 back to Purchase Item. Once the Sales Order is updated, you may update B8 again to Non Purchase.
If the possibility of using the 'Active/Inactive' button is not possible, another workaround is to use a User Define Field to flag the item. For example, you can set it as 'Y', when the supplier stopp ed selling the item. Then, in the Item Search window, you can filter the records to group those items that are set as 'Y' and the rest as 'N'. Only those 'N' items can be used when placing orders.
As an added procedure, you can generate an approval procedure that will be triggered when an item that is set as 'Y' in the User Defined field is added in the Purchase Order. When the approval is trig gered, the user can then re-verify the items added and make the necessary changes before saving the purchase document.
I hope the above workaround is suitable. I agree with the expected logic, but per Note937297, the stock status of an item is not meant to be changed after documents are added in the system. It seems a limitation in the current system.
    Line: -
    bold Solution:
The system should check if the open row can be delivered, since it still is a purchase item.

    Hi Lingam,
You can do it.This process shud be done manually
/change the billing relevence of the item category to K.
Create a order with 10 pencils.
In the delivery split the quantity ordered qty as 5 and do pgi for 5.
Again create delivery with the same order number and it will show the qty as 5. Do PGI.
Go to billing and click on selection tab. It will give a option to change the qty.
There u can change the qty.
    Gurus,
Any way of automating this process?
    Please suggest.

  • Multiple Sales orders in 1 delivery require 1 invoice per sales order

    Good day all,
Our current process utilizes order combination to pack multiple sales order into 1 delivery to reduce freight costs. We have found a drawback to this is that the billing document is being created only for the delivery which shows all of the sales order info but our customers require a billing document for each PO(Sales Order) as the current billing document makes it difficult for them to process. Is there a way to tweak SAP to allow this to occur, packing multiple sales order per delivery but billing is maintained per each sales order. I have search the forums for a while and I have not found an appropriate solution. Thank you for your assistance.

I have search the forums for a while and I have not found an appropriate solution.
Really surprised over this comments !!!!!!!!
Standard SAP creates billing split from the preceding document, if any of the following differs.
    a)  Payer
    b)  Billing Date
    c)  Foreign Trade Data
    d)  Credit Control Area
    e)  Exchange Range (in case of export scenario)
    f)  Actual GI Date from delivery
    g)  Payment Term
    h)  Inco Term
    i)  ITC Code (subject to specific routine)
    j)  Item Division (subject to specific routine)
So if any of these differs in your sale order, definitely it get split and of course, this depends on what routine you maintained in copy control VTFL for the field "Data:VBRK/VBRP".
    thanks

  • Which table I can get sales order no from delivery numbar.

    Hi,
I want sales order no from delivery no. right now I am using table VBFA where I am passing VBELN and POSNN and geting sales order no. but performance of select query is very poor bcouse I am not passing first two key fields in the select query.
Is there any other tablefrom where we can get sales order no. from delivery no. so that performance of report can be improved.
    Thanks,

    hi,
sales doc header ( table VBAK ) copy to Delivery header table( LIKP)
sales doc item table ( VBAP) copy to Delivery item table( LIPS)
you can see this in copy control VTLA ,
now u want slaes doc no. from dilv doc. no.
    so go to t-code se11.....
fill table LIKP u will get VBELN field for deliv doc no, & TERNR field for sales doc. no.
so if u want to call sales doc no from dilv doc no.. u can use table LIKP in ur report.
i hope it will help u.

  • Report for viewing Sales order no against delivery date & actual GI date

    Hi Experts,
Is there any report for viewing Sales order no against delivery date & *actual GI date*
Because in VL06F , i can only able to get planned GI.
Please guide regarding the same where i can get 'ACTUAL GI DATE ' against above combination .
    Regards,
    Sujit S.

    dear Hrishi,
i followed your suggestion, but couldn't get desired results,
here i can get planned GI date, where i wanted to get Actual GI date for complted deliveries,
    thanks for your valuable reply.
    @ G. Lakshmipathi ;-
i think i will need to develop z-report for fetching the data from the tables
VBAK (to get sale order reference) and
LIKP (to get delivery and actual GI date)
    thanks for your reply,

  • REPORT-Sales Order Qty minus Delivery Qty

How to find Sales Order Qty minus Delivery Qty  in a STd report  other than t.code v.02
    THanks in advance
    Paul

    Dear Paul
The report which you are asking is a Pending Order Report.
You  better go for a Zreport & call your required fields in the report.
The selection field will be plant
Eg: You can incorporate in the report Sales Doc, Order type, Doc date, SP, SH, Region, sales area, material code, material description, Order qty, Pend qty, Pending value, pant, PO ref no., date, Customer currency etc.
Once all items delivered the doc number wont be in the report.

  • Reinitialize Sales Orders, Billing and Delivery (11, 12 & 13)

    Hi,
Due to continues rollouts we need to reinitialize Sales Orders, Billing and Delivery do-cuments from R/3 into BW.
This requires us to delete all loaded data, logs, queues etc. on the BW side - Fair enough.
The real challenge come as we need to run the transactions OLI7BW(order), OLI8BW (billing), OLI9BW (deliveries) on the R3 side in order to fill the setup tables. Here we need to switch the "block all orders" on in order to ensure that no new documents are created while load-ing.
In relation to the above situation I have a couple of questions:
Is there no way of doing this in a more "online" fashion?
What transactions are actually blocked by flicking the "block all orders"?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Michael,
I've seen this process accomplished without blocking orders, but instead by blocking all transactions that may in any way lock an order or related sales document.  Also, you can dramatically speed up the process of gathering the old documents by running multiple batch jobs (with different document number ranges) at the same time.  In this case, I believe you want to "uncheck" the "New run" flag.  I've seen runtimes for this reduced from over 24 hours to under 4 hours.  The important thing is that you don't want to have ANY activity that modifies or locks order documents until after the date and time of termination that you specified, otherwise you will lose data on your transfer to BW.

  • Goods issue to customer without sales order or Outbound delivery

    Dear all gurus,
I have a case like that: Supposing we don't have neither Sales Order nor Outbound Delivery (because not implement SD, for eg).
Then, we stil want goods issue to customer. So can u advise me how to do: which Tcode, which movement type,...
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Create a cost center for customer and issue the goods with respect to this cost center in MB1A transaction using movement type 201.
Then all the issues will be tracked based on this cost center.

  • Sales order blocked for delivery but not showing in VA14L

A Sales order is in delivery block and its not showing in VA14l Delivery block .
    Please help.
    Regards..
    Bhyrav

    Hi,
Transaction VA14L report displays sales orders with header level delivery blocks & credit blocks.
If the delivery block in sales order item level the VA14L will not display those orders.
You may try V.14 transaction but it will not display sales orders with credit related delivery blocks.
Otherwise, provide more inputs so that it would be easy to analyse the issue.
    Regards
