Sales Tax details

Hi ABAP gurus,
I have a requirement to design a report which displays the sales tax details for invoices payable to vendors. Can anybody please help me with this with what tables and transactions to look for the data?
Fast Replies will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Shivani.

Dear Shivani
Use TCode FBL1N in which you can get the required details.
The details are stored in BSEG.  If you run SE16 / BSEG by giving vendor code in the respective field, you can get the details.
Thanks

  • Adding New Field Under Sales Tax/Service Tax Tab in XD01

    Hi Experts,
I want to Add new Field in CIN Details under Sales Tax/Service Tax Tab.
Is it Possible to Add Field under Standard Tab.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sandip Kokate

    hello,
    yes there are two ways:
    1) change standard screen. (that's the bad one).
    2) Use GuiXt tool which provides you with a possibility to add your custom objects into standard screens, change layout, visibility and so on.

    http://www.synactive.com/tutor_e/tutor.html
i had personally used this third party tool without license ( you will be able to use only basic commands. adding  input fields is one of them). I think it is the best way to enhance old transactions which don't have appropriate BADi's,  user exits and so on.

  • Problem in transfer of Sales Tax  from legacy to Live database

    Hi all,
I am trying to import sales order legacy data to our Live Oracle application database thru Interfaces - OE_HEADER_IFACE_ALL & OE_LINE_IFACE_ALL.
I also got succeed to transfer sales order legacy data to oracle apps. base tables - OE_ORDER_HEADERS_ALL and OE_ORDER_LINES_ALL .
Now, problem is related to Sales Order Tax. Anyone can guide me that how to transfer the Tax Details ( Tax name, Tax Category, Tax Amount ) from legacy
to Live oracle apps database ? What interface table i have to used for the same ? Which Concurrent program I have to run to accomplish this task ? Please
provide me with Navigation path also.
regards and Thanks in advance ..

    @orafad
2 db_links because im working on a 3rd tabespace (But on the same db with Table1) and it has the only sys dba previlege access write and create links on both db tables...
    I tried your suggestion :
    (select col, dump(col, 1016) from table where suitable_condition_to_select_relevant_row ... ;)
    but i got these results:
    +12899. 00000 - "value too large for column %s (actual: %s, maximum: %s)"+
*Cause:    An attempt was made to insert or update a column with a value+
which is too wide for the width of the destination column.
The name of the column is given, along with the actual width
of the value, and the maximum allowed width of the column.
Note that widths are reported in characters if character length
semantics are in effect for the column, otherwise widths are
    reported in bytes.
*Action:   Examine the SQL statement for correctness.  Check source+
    and destination column data types.
Either make the destination column wider, or use a subset
of the source column (i.e. use substring).
by the way the data type of the said column that I have problem with is CHAR(10 Byte)
I tried to change it to Char(10 Char) But I Still have problems.
Is it not on my environment settings or character set of my system... just a thought?

  • Setting Sales Tax for in State ONLY??

What we have here is a failure to communicate...  Either it is a language problem with support or they can't explain the feature.
All the answers I 'm getting are NOT answers to the question I'm asking. And the document is not clear either.
I have clients who sell products who ONLY need to charge sales tax to customers in the same state (PA)  but BC is charging 6% to all customers regardless of location.  We realize now that we should not have set the tax on individual products to PA 6%  (although that is VERY counterintuitive), and we set up our tax code for the USA with all states being zero and pa being 6%.   Tech cannot tell me how I should be setting taxes globally for products. IT is almost as if this feature does not exist:
ME:   No,    This is not acceptable nor does it make any sense.
In the USA, for most companies,  we only charge sales tax to In state customers, not out of state customers.  Therefore we need to be able to set up a global tax NOT on the product and NOT on the Country, but upon the state ONLY.
If this option is not available, it is a worthless system.

There are two proper ways to add tax.
    1. Add tax to shipping options: In this case, you create tax codes and shipping options too. Now, you add tax code to the shipping option as per the customer's destination country. Add a shipping option, and select the tax code in the shipping option. This is the more widely used method of applying tax. From what I had seen, you didn't create any shipping options yet, hence the confusion.
    2. Add tax directly to the product: This is what you had done. This will, as you have already mentioned, apply the tax to the product, irrespective of the customer's address details.
    Hope this clarifies the situation.
    Cheers.
You can set it as not applicable. If you apply tax to the product level, it will apply the tax to all orders for that product. To apply tax to all orders regardless of the visitor's location, you can apply tax at a product level. Check this document:http://helpx.adobe.com/business-catalyst/partner/tax-codes.html

Your question is really inappropriate to the Apple Discussions. The AD is a user-to-user forum for helping with technical problems and questions for Apple products. Sales taxes is certainly not one of those topics.
However, to answer your question. If your friend purchases a Mac in the Apple store or if you purchase it via the online store taxes will be charged. Sales taxes in the US are typically between 6-8 percent of the purchase cost depending upon the state in which it is purchased. There are a few states that do not levy sales taxes such as Nevada and Montana.
In addition when your friend takes the computer into your country you will likely be charged with import duties and taxes as well. If it's your expectation that this ploy will save you some money I wouldn't count on it.

    Hi,
we are running the "U.S Sales Tax Report" in which we are facing the data overflow as an issue. Do any body have an idea how to fix this type of issue.
    Thank you,
    BOD

Just to save time for others who have the same requirement , use below,  fill the structure with sales order and other details. Leave the posnr blank if you need document flow , else fill the posnr if it is item level.
    CALL DIALOG 'RV_DOCUMENT_FLOW'
            EXPORTING
                 VBCO6      FROM VBCO6
                 MAKT-MAKTX FROM SPACE
                 KNA1-KUNNR FROM kunnr2000

                 MAKT-MATNR FROM SPACE
                 IVKORG     FROM VKORG
                 IVTWEG     FROM VTWEG.
No custom screen required, no tree control required, no coding required except that you need to call this at right place in your module pool/ report etc. SAP internally uses this for display in SAPMV45A.

  • Print out of sales tax pre-announcement

One of our customers demands some changes within the Business One.
The support in Ireland advised us to post these requirements in this Forum.
At the moment it's not possible to get a print out of the sales tax pre-announcement.
In our customers opinion this is obligatory necessary.

    Hello Oliver,
please provide more detail of what your customer's requirements are. What report is the 'sales tax pre-announcement'? What data is required?

  • SD: Service tax and sales tax

    Dear All
My client has 3 plants in different states and in to erection activities. while configuring the service tax and sales tax i have created  single G/L accounts for the service tax and sales tax based on tax code.
Now my client is asking how can check the service tax payable and sales tax payable as per plant basis.
With my config all service tax will go to one G/L account , VAT will go to one account . how can we able check plant wise details.
    Suggest me the way
    Regards
    Satya

    Hello
As per my experience, the GL Acc for Service Tax & VAT can't be same. Check with your client.
Anyways, as per your requirement for VAT
    1. Maintain 3 Tax code corresponding to your Plant. This will help you in different Tax Code differnet GL Acc
    Say,
    V1 - Output TaxCode AP
    V2 - Output TaxCode KA
    V3 - Output TaxCode TN
    2. In Tcode OB40 - in Rules activate Tax code. By doing this, it will activate TAX CODE & ACCOUNT in account section.
    With you can maintain,
    V1 - 3888001
    V2 - 3888002
    V3 - 3888003
    3. Maintain access sequence Country/Plant/PlntRegion/TaxCl1Cust/TaxCl1Mat. in Tax Condition Type.
Then maintain condition record (VK11) for your VAT.
    Say,
    Country - Plant- PlntRegion - TaxCl1Cust - TaxCl1Mat.
    IN - 3010 - AP - 01 - 01 - 4 % - V1
    IN - 3020 - KA - 01 - 01 - 4 % - V2
    IN - 3030 - TN - 01 - 01 - 4 % - V3
Similarly, you can do for Service tax also.
    Thanks & Regards

  • J1I2 - Sales Tax Register

In the standard SALES TAX REGISTER report(TCode=J1I2) PO is picked up for a given Accounting Document Number irrespective of Fiscal Year and Company Code from EKBE table. Though rest of the tax details are OK, it is taking any first available PO matching Accounting Document Number(according to select statement). Since Material Document Year (GJAHR) is available in EKBE, sql statement can be changed to retrieve PO for a particular year, but there is no Company Code column in EKBE, how to retrieve a PO for a given Company Code now? Is there any other unique key in EKBE table related to Company Code or any related view to retrieve PO for a given Accounting Document Number,Fiscal Year and COmpany COde?
Note: Only those POs should be retrieved whose PO history category should be either R or Q(available in EKBE)

  • Sale tax setoff

    Hi experts
Wt  is mean by sale tax setoff and how it is working in SD process.
    Regards
    Ishikesh

    hi
There are two types of taxes, Tax on sale or purchase within the State  (Local Sales tax i.e LST) and Tax on sale or purchase in the course of interstate trade (Central Sales Tax i.e. CST).
Set-off is the amount of tax credit which can be claimed in the LST return. It is the tax that you have been charged on goods that you have purchased for your business. This credit can be adjusted against the LST payable on your sales, and the balance of LST has to be paid to the Government. Set-Off is claimed on monthly basis.
In FB50 you can post the set off
On the initial screen, enter the Document Date, Doc.Header Text, enter G/L Accounts of LST Receivable, Payable & Bank in u201CG/L acctu201D Column, Select u201CDebit or Creditu201D indicator like LST Payable as Debit, Receivable & Bank as Credit, in u201CD/Cu201D Column, enter amount in u201CAmount in doc.curr.u201D against each G/L account and press Enter , Check for Total deb. and Total cred. In Amount Information , ensure that the indicator is turned as Green  . Click on Details tab, to check the details . Click on Simulate  button, check the details and Click on Save  button.
LST Set Off Document JV is generated.

  • VAT or Sales tax number display on Invoice.

    Dear Friends :
    We have an urgent requirement.
We would like to disply Sales Tax no or VAT no on the invoice when we print.
Currently we are using smartforms.  Any idea or any light how to display text on the invoice ?
Full points will be given to those who help me to solve the mystry.
    Vanbills

    Hi Van,
Normally, The VAT Registration Number is stored in the customer master General data, Control tab  page.KNA1 - STCEG. is the field name.
You can pull this into the smart form. It depends where you want to put this information in the smart form.
Create a separate.Text object and you can print the Vat registration details here.
You can tell the details of how to pull the VAT registration number to the ABAPer and he will write a code to pull the data from there and print in the invoice.

    Hi Van,
    Try with this,
Through adding some code in the smartform program you can get this.
-->First option ,Please maintain the VAT no and sales tax number in the invoice header text from there you can capture those details to the invoice output through smartforms program with the help of ABAPer.
-->Second option is whare you are maintaining all these details from that place(i.e From J1ID or Customer master) you can capture directly in the invoice output with the help of ABAPer.
I hope it will help you,
