Sample code for calling web services for export

Hi I am trying to use web service ExportProject to export a project out of Primavera DB. The Export service uses MTOM (Message Transmission Optimization Mechanism) to send the output files as attachments. Need some information on
- Can the export service be specified a location for the transfer? or it will come attached in the response?
- How do i access this attachment? I am using PL/SQL for doing this.
Any help will be appreciated.

I am not a pl/sql guy but there is a java example in the demo code that might help you figure out a pl/sql approach.
Look in WSDemo.java in the exportProject method. The WSDemo.java file was located in the following directory on my system: \Oracle\P6EPPM\ws\demo\Java\JAX-WS\src\com\primavera\wsclient\demo

  • XI for create web servicies for SAP R/3 4.6C

    Hi All,
    we are implementing PM (Plant Management) module of SAP R/3 4.6C and we have the necessity to create web services for some PM functionalities. Infact we need to integrate our SAP R/3 4.6C with other applications (non-SAP) through TIBCO (it's mandatory). So we think to use SAP XI. Moreover our users don't want to use SAP GUI for the accessing to the PM functionalities but they want an UI more friendly. So we think to use SAP EP.
    Which is your opinion about this architectural scenario? Is it possible to fulfil the requirement of our business users with a more simple architectural solution (for example with WEB DYNPRO)?
    Many thanks in advance for your collaboration.
    Regards,
    Bob

    Infact we need to integrate our SAP R/3 4.6C with other applications (non-SAP) through TIBCO (it's mandatory). So we think to use SAP XI.
    TIBCO is another middleware. So once you expose your R/3 functionalities as web service, you may directly use TIBCO to integrate and XI won't be required at all.
    Moreover our users don't want to use SAP GUI for the accessing to the PM functionalities but they want an UI more friendly.
    WebDynpro application would provide you an easy GUI and could act as Soap client as well to send data.

  • Communication error when calling web service for checkin and checkout files

    Hello,
    I am trying to checkout  and also to checkin files within the DMS via web service. The files are stored in the VAULT (=TRESOR) without the data server parth and DVA computer.
    For checkout:
    Original zum Ändern auschecken
      CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHECKOUTMODIFY2'
        EXPORTING
          documenttype    = pi_documenttype
          documentnumber  = pi_documentnumber
          documentpart    = pi_documentpart
          documentversion = pi_documentversion
          documentfile    = lf_documentfiles
          pf_http_dest    = ''
          pf_ftp_dest     = ''
        statusextern    = lf_status
        IMPORTING
          return          = lf_return
          checkedoutfile  = ls_checkedoutfile.
    and for checkin:
    Dokument einchecken
      CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHECKIN2'
        EXPORTING
          documenttype    = pi_documenttype
          documentnumber  = pi_documentnumber
          documentpart    = pi_documentpart
          documentversion = pi_documentversion
          hostname        = ''

       statusextern    = lf_status
          statuslog       = ''
        IMPORTING
          return          = lf_return
        TABLES
          documentfiles   = lt_files.
    But it is not working cause I always get a 'communication error' from the function CV120_FTP_START_REG_SERVER when calling one of these BAPIs via web service:
    IF pf_check_gui = 'X'.
        CLEAR: gf_gui_exist,
               gf_gui_checked.
        CALL FUNCTION 'RFC_PING'
             DESTINATION 'SAPGUI'
             EXCEPTIONS: communication_failure = 1 MESSAGE lf_msg_text
                         system_failure        = 2 MESSAGE lf_msg_text.

        ELSE.
          CLEAR gf_gui_exist.
        ENDIF.
        gf_gui_checked = 'X'.
      ENDIF.
    Afterwards the following function is called where I got the error 'Program no longer started via RFC. No return possible.':
    -> Vault with DVA -> ** Start FTP on the client
      CALL FUNCTION 'SYSTEM_START_REG_SERVER'
           EXPORTING: progname    = 'sapftp'

                      startpara   = ' '
          IMPORTING: err_code    = lf_errno
                     err_mess    = lf_error_msg
                     destination = pfx_destination.

    Hi! As mentioned below I had the same problem.
    There are two notes concerning security setting of the SAP Gateway:
    1069911 - GW: Changes to the ACL list of the gateway (reginfo)
    1480644 -  gw/acl_mode versus gw/reg_no_conn_info
    Your basis team should check if the Gateway settings allow external programs to register on the gateway.

    Hello
    I am calling a third party  web service using BasicHttp adapter and passing user name and password  in send port security tab by setting security mode to "Transport" and Transport client credential type" as Basic.

    I will not comment on "IIS recycle its workers process
    ". I don't think you have ever said its IIS is the web server used by yourt 3rd paty to host their web service. We (atleast I) don't know wheather your 3rd party's web service is hosted on IIS. It’s some "Web Server"
    could be IIS (if its Microsoft based) or Apache or something else.
    Come back to your question, when the error says "The request could not be
    understood by server due to malformed syntax", when you’re sending the message as expected by 3rd party service, then it has nothing to do with your end, error is returned by your 3rd party. And as you have mentioned you are tracing the
    messages thru Fiddler and you see messages are constructed same and fine as expected by your 3rd party. Don't confuse its nothing on your party, either first deployment or last. Check with your 3rd party

  • Creating client proxy for calling web service

    Hello,
    I like to call a WebServce from our vendor. The vendor provides me no WSDL document.
    Question: Is it possible to create a client proxy without WSDL? I have just the SOAP Request/Response.

    Thank you very much in advance for any helpful answer.
    Kind regards

    Hi Axel,
               I am working on a program to connect to a external web-service from SAP (R/3 enterprise 4.7) and while searching all the available stuff for this I got this method.
    But, I am still facing some other issues and hence doesn't have the whole solution. You have to probably try it out from your side once and see if it helps.
    Please refer the following blog.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/847. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
    it describes a method which is not at all using any WSDL file. Instead it uses the CL_HTTP_CLIENT class to pass a SOAP request to the web-service and then get the response.

  • Doc for 10g Web Services for EJBs

    I'm trying to determine if any documentation exists for 10gAS that discusses how to publish a statless session bean as a web service. The only thing I'm found so far is a tutorial called "Expose a Stateless Session EJB as a Web Service Endpoint through JAX-RPC interface", but I've found it lacking in detail and possibly incorrect. For example, it mentions a wsadmin tool that I don't see in the 10gAS release and it discusses how files like mapping.xml and webservices.xml can be created by JDeveloper. However, the 10g JDeveloper I downloaded doesn't see to support this.

    Unfortunately the doc is the how-tos right now. However, there are a couple of pointers - this article by Anirban Chatterjee - http://otn.oracle.com/tech/webservices/htdocs/j2ee14/jsr109.html - describes the configuration behind it.
    The JDeveloper interface is on the cusp of being released - it is just going through QA. I have written a tutorial on what it looks like here:
    http://otn.oracle.com/tech/webservices/htdocs/series/jaxrpc1/index.html
    But this tutorial is not linked publicly yet because it isn't released ... when the extension becomes available this link will be hooked up publicly. Please treat it as a preview right now.
    Could you describe the errors that you are encountering. There are a number of bugs that we have been collecting with the preview and we hope to do a refresh soon. It would be good to know if yours is a known one or not.
    Mike.

  • Maximum data for calling web service

    Hi all,
    I try to trigger a C# webservice via XI.
    If I transfer more than 65000 bytes then I get a "Bad request error".
    When I transfer less than 65000 bytes everything works fine.
    Is that a configuration in XI or a limit in the service itself?
    Any ideas?
    regards

    Hi,
    In theory there is no limitation on data can be called using webservice but as you know webservice use HTTP for transferring data hence it is limitation of HTTP regarding un-interrupt transfer of data.
    This limit of http can be vary from landscape to landscape, over LAN you may get 64MB but over internet you may get similar error for few MBs or less.
    Suggestion is to breakup data into smaller part for reliable transfer of information otherwise you will see this error often.
    Webservices are not recommended for high volume data transfer.

  • Configuring Web Services for Oracle XML DB

    Hi all...
    I think I need some help one this subject....
    We have a 10G Release 2 Oracle single instance ( not RAC) install on a Linux Redhat v5.3 64 bit server. Are developers are user Visual Studio .Net and wnat to send xml files to a web service so that the xml file (containing data) can call a PL/SQL package (to be written) which will take the data out of the xml input file and insert rows into a prefined table within the instance. Now they have browsed the web and have come upon the following links...
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28369/xdb_web_services.htm
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28369/xdb22pro.htm#i1026724
    Currently, within the database I looked at the schema XDB and have unlocked the account and connected as the user XDB. There are some 680 objects in the following groups...
    SQL> select object_type, count(*) from dba_objects where owner='XDB' group by object_type;
    OBJECT_TYPE COUNT(*)
    SEQUENCE 2
    PROCEDURE 5
    OPERATOR 8
    LOB 334
    LIBRARY 12
    PACKAGE 20
    PACKAGE BODY 17
    XML SCHEMA 25
    TYPE BODY 5
    TRIGGER 12
    TABLE 36
    INDEX 51
    FUNCTION 5
    INDEXTYPE 2
    VIEW 2
    TYPE 144
    16 rows selected.
    Now in the links above it mentions that the xdbconfig.xml needs to be altered etc. However, I have searched the entire $ORACLE_HOME and there is no file definition of that description.
    From a DBA prospective...what do I have to install on the Linux server? I assume from the Oracle Database 10g Companion Products I need to lay down Oracle HTTP Server in a new Oracle home as the first step...or not? Does the HTML DB need to be installed as well?
    And for Configuring Web Services for Oracle XML DB...what else has to be installed? And from what product line?
    Thanks in Advance....
    Cheers

    Hi Marco...
    First of all ...thanks for the reply.
    I followed the link and the infor in that web page. However, there were a few things that did not work....

    ORACLE DATABASE 10g EXPRESS EDITION LICENSE AGREEMENT..
    ==========
    The other browser test ftp://localhost:2100/
    did not find any page?
    2. Then I went onto running (as the sysdba) the pl/sql to enable the ORAWSV Entry Service
    however it error out. So I did a describe on DBMS_XDB and the function deleteServlet does not appear
    then I had a look and this link to > http://www.liberidu.com/blog/?p=471
    was for 11G and the other link > http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28369.pdf
    was for 11G.
    However, we are on 10G

  • Calling web Service from the Custom Adapter.Is it Possible?

    Hi Experts,
                    I am having requirment in which i have to cal com.sap.aii.mapping.lookup.LookupService for calling web Service from the Custom Adapter.Is it Possible?
    Regards,
    Rajesh.D

    Hi Rajesh..
    Just looking the problem in another angle.. if there is no constraint that you have to use XI specific API to call the web service, why dont you use usual Java API used for calling a web service inside you custom adapter (I have Microsoft background.. donno exactly how it is done in Java,, but in .NET kind of a language it is possible). SInce your adapter is in Java itself and is capable of calling web service.. collect or lookup the data whatever you want and validate...
    Just a thought..

  • How to make a PDF form call Web service and return a static pdf for user to print?

    Hi all,
    Can anyone help me regarding the feasibility of using PDF forms for my following case?
    I would like to create a Dynamic pdf form. User only have the Acrobat reader. they can enter some information. Then have a submit button. when user click the submit button, it can call the web service with data. then Web service returns a Static PDF document based on data and the user can print it out. (and maybe save as separate pdf file)
    1. Is that possible to implement? Because I know PDF can call web service, but dont know how it handle when the webservice returns another static PDF document. could it able to handle the responds and open up in another acrobat reader?
    2. As I understand I need to have Live Cycle Designer to create a pdf  and make it Reader Enabled. So user can user reader to call webservice? am I correct?
    3. What minimum reader that user need to have? PDF reader 7 or above?
    4. I have a webservice serve the same purpose for web. But if I want the same web services can serve both web and PDF form. So, whatever client (PDF or Web)make the web service call, server returns the PDF document to client. Is that possible ? Do I need to make any changes on web service?
    5. Do I need to get any other Adobe server product? (other than Live Cycle Designer )
    Thanks a lot

    We have done a similar approach in the past and yes, it can be doable.
    1. Is that possible to implement? Because I know PDF can call web service, but dont know how it handle when the webservice returns another static PDF document. could it able to handle the responds and open up in another acrobat reader?
    Srini: We have developed a Servlet to talk to Webservice. Based on the Webservice response, the Servlet, prepares the Byte stream and sends it to Webbrowser to display as a PDF. The PDF data was submitted to Servlet in XML format.
    But if you do not want to use the above approach, then you have to use the Workbench Process.
    Submit the PDF data to a Workbench process and the inside process, execute Webservice Service with the data. Once the response is received, prepare the data XML and render a PDF with it.
    To do this, you need LiveCycle Server and Reader Extensions server component.
    2. As I understand I need to have Live Cycle Designer to create a pdf  and make it Reader Enabled. So user can user reader to call webservice? am I correct?
    Srini: If you want to use the Servlet, you can Reader extend the PDF with Acrobat.. But if you want to submit the data directly to Webservice, then you need Reader Extensions server component.
    3. What minimum reader that user need to have? PDF reader 7 or above?
    Srini: Not sure but Reader 8 and above should work.
    4. I have a webservice serve the same purpose for web. But if I want the same web services can serve both web and PDF form. So, whatever client (PDF or Web)make the web service call, server returns the PDF document to client. Is that possible ? Do I need to make any changes on web service?
    Srini: If you use the Servlet approach, then you can re-use the same webservice. But if you want to submit directly to the same webservice, you may need to change it to suit your data XML.
    5. Do I need to get any other Adobe server product? (other than Live Cycle Designer )
    Srini: If you use the Servlet approach, you do not need any server component but other approach, you need Livecycle Server and Reader Extensions server component.
    Thanks

  • Call web service using code.

    we want to call a web service from ADF JSP form.
    We used web service data control. But deployment failed.
    we applied Patch 5878326 to JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0 and OAS.
    But problem is not solved.
    So we need a new way to call web services.
    is there any other way to call web services from Jdev.
    any code sample will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Workaround for the Connection Failure
    In JDeveloper, locate the .deploy file in the Resources folder of your web application project.
    Double-click the file to open the WAR Deployment Profile Properties dialog.
    Expand File Groups - WEB-INF/classes - Contributors.
    In the Contributors panel, click Add and use the Browse dialog to locate the .adf folder in the root for your application (for example, /jdev/mywork//.adf path.)
    Select the .adf folder and add it as a contributor to the deployment profile.
    Note that the .adf folder does not become part of the deployable archive. This merely ensures that the contents of the META-INF get placed in an appropriate location in the archive that will permit the web container to find it when the application loads.
    The failure to get the connection to Webservice is beacuse the "connections.xml" is not available in the deployed archive.
    This has been release note'd as in
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/htdocs/10.1.3.0.3/10.1.3_addendum.html under "Deployment issues"
