Sample code snippet needed to provision appinstance with child data in R2

Gurus,
I have developed some code to provision an application instance to a user using API but it is not working.
Can you please provide me some sample code to provision with child data this using API.

Status Reconciliation, Resource with child data

Hello Guys,
I am trying to reconcile a resource which have child data.
The connector used is the DB application TAble GTC.
If I decide to not reconcile the status of the resource everythings goes well.
When I try to reconcile the status, too, Mapping the resource status on the
OIM_OBJECT_STATUS field, I get the following error:

I am able to reconcile the status when I have to deal with resources that dont have child data. I thought that the same mapping was enough
when I have to deal with resources that have child data, but it seems I was wrong.
My oim is 11.1.1.5.2
Has anyone else encountered this problem?
Could you share any help on this?

I tried it, but still the same result.
I even tried creating another user on the target resource (since old users remain connected to the old form version)
but still no progress. However I have to mention that I am not having this problem when using target resources that don't
have multiple-value attributes (process form without child data). I have this problem only when I have resources with multiple-value data.

EXC_BAD_ACCESS - sample code - just need pointing in the right direction

I've been trying to add groupins and a floating A-Z listing to my UITableView.
I found a great article on the web but the setup of my code differs slightly (probably because I got some of the architecture wrong to start with!).
Anyhow, I'm getting an EXCBADACCESS error on the following code at this line

...and then in the implementation:-
@synthesize authors;
I don't fully understand what the @synthesize or @property does so maybe I've done something wrong here?

Here's what I've been able to figure out.
"authors" is a NSMutableArray declared in my AppDelegate. I successfully fill this with NSDictionary objects via a method in the AppDelegate. Each Dictionary object contains the key and the value of each is set to another NSMutableArray of "author" objects.
Using the debugger I can step through and watch the initial "authors" array being built and I can see that at the end of the code it contains 21 objects of type NSDictionary - all good so far.
My code then moves to a UITableViewController where the "numberOfRowsInSection" code is called.
This is where the trouble begins. Stepping through the dbugger once more I can now see that my original "authors" array (which is exposed from the appDelegate as a property) still contains 21 objects however they are now of differing types!!!
Some are still NSDictionary objects but some are wrongly showing as NSObjects - the NSObject ones also have "invalid" in the summary field of the debugger window.
Somehow, the objects which were all created in the same way (via a loop through a database set of records) and added to the "authors" array in the same fashion are now not the same...***?!
Obviously I'm a bit new to all of this but what strikes me is the randomness of the objects in the array which are no longer of the correct type.
btw, let me know what code you would like to see and I shall post it.

Need to find rows with overlapping dates

I have a table that has FirstName, LastName, EnrollmentFrom and EnrollmentTo
I need to find all names where they have overlapping dates. For example this is invalid:
Name       EnrollmentFrom     EnrollmentTo
John Doe   1/1/2014              1/1/2015
John Doe   2/5/2014              2/5/2014
This would be valid:
John Doe   1/1/2014              1/1/2015
John Doe   1/2/2015              1/1/2016
This is just an example as the dates could be anything in one of the other enrollments.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Newbie needs help creating folder with different date buckets

A simplification my scenario, I have a table, Invoice, which contains invoice amounts and invoice dates. I want to break up the invoices amounts into date buckets, such that my target report should look something like this:
Invoices<30 Invoices<60 Invoices<90 Invoices>90
$100 $250 $500 $1000
I have created a folder from the Invoice table, and would like to know if it is possible to create new items within this folder to allow me to sum invoice amounts over the 0-30, 30-60, 60-90, 90+ invoice date ranges. In other words, can I create new items that each have their own condition?
I have seen other solutions that use a custom folder backed by a SQL query using case statements to break a table down into its date range buckets. Is this considered the "right" approach to the problem?
A simpler solution I've thought of is creating a folder for each date range (Invoices30, Invoices60, etc), and setting the condition of the folder to do the date filtering. The item "Invoice Amount" in each folder ends up being the bucket I want, and I would put them together in a complex folder, and build the report off the complex folder. Although inelegant and a bit redundant, would this solution work?

You can do this right inside Discoverer using a couple of calculations.
Calc 1:

Calculate the invoice date variance, let's say you will use TRUNC(SYSDATE) - TRUNC(INVOICE DATE). This gives you a number and let's call this new calculation VARIANCE.
Calc 2:
=====
This second calculation created the buckets themself. Let's do it using a CASE statement and we'll call the calculation TIME BUCKET.
CASE
WHEN VARIANCE <= 30 THEN "0 to 30"
WHEN VARIANCE <= 60 THEN "30 to 60"
WHEN VARIANCE <= 90 THEN "60 to 90"
ELSE "More than 90"
END
You now display only TIME BUCKET in your workbook. The other calculation, VARIANCE, will be used but not displayed on screen in the final answer.
If you don't like CASE, here's the same answer using DECODE:
DECODE(VARIANCE,
LEAST(VARIANCE,30), "0 to 30",
LEAST(VARIANCE,60), "30 to 60",
LEAST(VARIANCE,90), "60 to 90","More than 90")
By the way, when you do this you will find that Discoverer runs your report very fast. This is because it can handle these types of queries exceptionally well.

We have a requirement to retrieve the uniquemember attribute values using OID 11g API. We are using labeleduri approach for dynamic groups and thus all the uniquemember values are created using dynamic groups.
When we are trying to retrieve the uniquemember values using Java code snippet, it is not returning the values. The strange thing is: The uniquemember values created using dynamic groups are not visible in ODSM OID console or JExplorer tool. However those values are visible in LDAP Browser v2.8.1 tool.
So can somebody throw light on this? Any pointers or sample code snippet to retrieve uniquemember values would be grateful.

Request for sample code, Validating XML Schema

Does anyone have some sample code to validate
an XML Schema with the Oracle parser?
Also, the classgen code seems to have more XML Schema classes in it. There is an xschema.jar full of XML Schema related code. Would it be possible to use this code?
I've tried DOMSample.java with the v2 parser. It seems to happily echo Schema based XML files that are obviously wrong. (I use Tibco's XML Authority to verify the XML file and XML Schema).

I do not have sample code but it is not a difficult API to call. I have worked on it before, so if you have a specific question on it, happy to help out if I can.

Assert error/hangs running the performance sample code

I'm doing some work to understand how fast I can expect Berkeley DB to run and I found the 2006 white paper on [Performance Metrics and Benchmarks|http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/berkeley-db/pdf/berkeley-db-perf.pdf] so I downloaded the [sample code|http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/berkeley-db/files/perf.zip] and made a couple of fixes to make it run with 4.7.25 (shown at the end).
When I run 'make test' it frequently hangs on the "Transactional Data Store (write, in-memory logging)" test under OS X 10.5.7 and under Debian lenny (kernel 2.6.26-1-amd64).
If I rebuild BDB with --enable-diagnostic I get this assertion error.

I reproduced your problem on Ubuntu 4.2.3 with db 4.7.25 and saw the same assert error as you. From the error message, the program asserts error/hangs at the "Transactional Data Store (write, in-memory logging)", that is calling op_tds() with DB_LOG_IN_MEMORY as the flags.
The problem comes from your change on the sample code that the DB_LOG_IN_MEMORY is set with wrong API. The DB_LOG_IN_MEMORY should be set in DB_ENV->log_set_config(). Please refer to [DB_ENV->log_set_config|http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/api_c/env_log_set_config.html] and its flag DB_LOG_IN_MEMORY.
I change env's setting flags in op_tds() as follows. In this way, the error I saw is eliminated and the program works as expected.

How to use Db Provider Factories with System.Data.SqlServerCe

I'm using SQL Server Compact Edition, but in the future I would like to be able to switch to another SQL Server Edition or even a different database. To achieve this, Microsoft recommends using DB Provider Factories (see: Writing Provider Independent Code in ADO.NET, http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=674426&SiteID=1).
I enumerated the available data providers on my PC with:

It seems there is no DbProviderFactory for System.Data.SqlServerCe. At least I couldn’t find one, no matter how hard I searched on the Internet. Need help with API and sample code for checking a user's rights on a folder

Hi All,
I am working on an UCM integration where user supplies a folderpath (ucm folders), and a file is later uploaded to this location.
Since a user can provide a folderpath where he has only Read Access or no access at all, we are trying to work out a way to pre-check his permissions on the folder.
Since we have Entity Security enabled, we have 5 security fields to rely on Account, Security Group, User Access List, Group Access List, Role Access List.
Writing custom code for this security check is second on our agenda.
Firstly, we wish to know the API and sample code that typically performs this Security Check in UCM.
We could find intradoc.shared.SecurityUtils which has methods to check security on SGroup and Account, but we couldn't find anything for:
1) Overall security check
2) ACL security check on top of sgroup and account security check

Any ideas anyone?!
I am looking forward to some pointers here. :(
