Sample Interactive form example ?....urgent...
Hi Experts,
I need to submit the data in the adobe interactive form to the R/3 using abap webdynpro.
But I don't know how to complete the submit code in the R/3 or the adobe form?
Action:
1. create a adobe interactive form (a_interactive_form)in the view of the WDA for abap.
2. create a adobe form (b_form)in the R/3 using sfp with a inputfield and submit button.
3. bind the b_form to the a_interactive_form, and bind the context to the b_form so that the data can be transfered to the b_form.
4. type code in the WDA for abap for setting data to the context.
5. active the WDA and run the WDA.
6. Type the inputfield "ssssss" in the adobe form and click the submit button.
now, the step 1 to 5 is ok. But I don't know how to complete the submit code in the R/3 or the adobe form so that the WDA may get the data "ssssss"?
Do you give some example or some hint for this problem ?
Thanks & Regards,
Tao

WebDynpro Exception running Interactive Form example

I created an interactive form via Transaction SFP. After that I used this form in a Webdynpro for ACAP application.
When I try to run the application I get the following error:

- I went through the ADS Configuration Guide. All settings are done.
- The test on Java Stack works: http://server:port/AdobeDocumentServices/Config
We're on SP 10 with NW2004s(NW7.0).

if you are absolutely certain that you have configured the ADS correctly and have looked at the ADS troubleshooting documentation in the SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/c2/42c437004b4d74bd74100d327a3354/frameset.htm and still get the error, please create a customer message on component BC-SRV-FP.

Hi,
I have three radio button in my interactive form, What Javascript code i need to write in order to find out if i have checked a radio button or not.
Regards,
ViratHello Virat,
I am not sure if this helps you or not but you will also need to add in this to your wdDoModify() , where "My_Form" is the name of my interactive form
// =================
if(firstTime){
IWDInteractiveForm iForm = (IWDInteractiveForm)view.getElement("My_Form");
iForm.setDynamicPDF(true);
// =================
The link provided by Marita is also very useful, particularly the last section on javascripts examples. I will also recommend that you vist the livecycle forum in adobe.com for sample interactive forms to be downloaded.

rajHi Raja,
Try if the SOAP call to your ADS works properly first. You can test it by running the URL to your ADS (the one you specified in the Web Service Security service in the Visual Admin) in your web browser. One thing you need to make sure is that the username/password you use to access the ADS must not be expried and no password changed is required.

Interactive Forms based on Adobe software is SAP's new solution for forms development. Its first release has the focus on interactive use of forms. High-volume printing is supported in principle, but - being a new solution - the performance has not yet reached the same level as Smart Forms or SAPscript, two established solutions that had years to grow. Interactive Forms is the only solution that will continue to be enhanced with new features, while SAPscript and Smart Forms will be supported without limitations.
When (or if) to move to Interactive Forms depends on your requirements. For interactive forms usage, i.e. the new functions, you have no choice, as the existing solutions don't support it. High-volume print scenarios need to be carefully analyzed to see whether your concrete requirements can be met at this point.
However, it is possible to move to Smart Forms and design your forms in such a way that a migration at any point in the future would be but a small step. Smart Forms offers from Web AS 6.40 a migration wizard to Interactive Forms. Technically, everything can be migrated, but we recommend against things like ABAP program nodes, for example.
You are not forced to ever go to Interactive Forms if you don't want to. It really depends on whether your client needs any of the new features in Interactive Forms. Also, if they are currently working with JetForms, they could enquire with Adobe directly what migration path they offer to the joint solution.

example
To get an overview idea about Adobe forms ,
Using SFP Tcode , first you need to create a interface . in interface you can declare the import and export parameters and also the declaration part, coding etc : This is nothing but similar to Function module interface.
And now we have to create the Form which is interactive. Create the form and enter the interface name which you have created in first step, so that the parameters , declarations of fields etc : will be copied and available in the form layout. So that you can drag and drop these declared fields ( dclared fields of interface ) to the layout.
Create the context and layout in the form.
The layout generated can be previewed and saved as PDF output.
Now we need to integrate the driver program and the PDF form to get the final output as per the requirement.
On activating and executing the form you will get a function module name just similar to smartforms.
The driver program needs to call this FM.

Any examples of using OVS in interactive forms?
Hi All,
I'm trying to use OVS input help in Adobe forms (which was suggested by OSS support as a workaround to another issue) and I see there some people in this forum asking similar questions but I don't see an answer posted in any of the threads.
When I import the SDN tutorial example for OVS "WebDynpro_OVS_Valuehelp" and I add an interactive form to it and implement a call to the OVS, nothing appears to happen.
Note that the way I implemented it (and the way OSS suggests) is to use the "value help button" from the native pallet and the and then change the Javascript by filling in the field name in this section of code: var fieldName = "*INSERT_NAME_HERE*";
So my question is, can somebody point me to a sample project that I can download and import to show me OVS working in Adobe?
Many thanks,

Templates interactive Forms or examples to deploy
Hello everybody,
Well I have a little question, very easy.
Is it possible to find template example for Interactive Form (DVD Netweaver or in a download folder) ?
It's just to deploy few examples to test.
Thanks a lot
Cheers
AurelienHi Henry,
You can find one tutorial for sample Adobe application in help contents of Netweaver developer studio.
In neteaver developer studio goto help->Help contents.
there go to SAP Web as Java application->Development manual -> Developing Web applications -> Webdynpro-> The development process -> Data binding of User interface Eement properties -> data binding of BusinessGraphics UI element -> Code example of the Use of Interactive PDF form
It has given all steps required to build simple pdf form application.

Hi Experts,
I'm working on Adobe Interactive form developed in WDP ABAP.( I have successfully config the ADS in my server.)
Action:
1. Create two view -
first_view and second_view in the WDP ABAP..
2. In the first_view, there are a input field( named "elements_number") and a button(named "create_button") .
3. In the second_view, there is Adobe Interactive form ( named "adobe_form" ).
4. Run the WDP ABAP: first_view is opened. Type a number ex."3" in the "elements_number", click the "create_button".
5. The second_view is opened.
6. The "adobe_form" is occured.
7. There are 3 text_fields in the "adobe_form".
Steps (1) ~ (6), I have completed, but I don't know how to implement the step (7).
Please give me some hint on this. I try to use the CL_WD_ADOBE_SERVICE, but I didn't found any examples. Do you give me some ways to implement the function? Thanks a lot.
Thank you very much.
Thanks,
TaoHi Philippe,
Thank you very much in advance.
Do you tell me how to hide elements in the "adobe_form" in the WDP ABAP? How can I get the elements attributes in the "adobe_form" from the method WDDOMODIFY of the second_view in the WDP ABAP.
Please give me some hints on this. Do you give me some ways to implement functions( hide elements and get elements's attributes)? Thanks a lot.
Thank you very much.
Thanks,

Urgent :how to edit a pdf (interactive form)
Dear Expert,
i have a web dynpro application where in need to increase the length of a table in pdf (interactive form ) how can i do this .Yes, there are a number of things you can do. With JavaScript, you can show/hide fields, set fields to read-only, set the focus to a field (thus bypassing sections or pages), etc. So you can implement a type of skip logic, it's just not as easy to set up as with a form created in FormsCentral. Still, there are techniques you can use to simplify things, particularly using heirarchical field names which makes it easier to control a group a fields.
The following rudimentary sample demonstrates some of what's possible: https://workspaces.acrobat.com/?d=It35dD4zaX5QM--Pv36F-Q
Based on the selected item on the dropdown, the background changes and certain fields are activated. There are only two fields associated with a particular selection, but it could be as many as you want on as many pages as you want. You can implement a multisection form using a single PDF page this way. -
Example of interactive form ?
Does anyone can give me an example of interactive form wit submit action ?
Thanks for your helpHey,
For these generic questions please do a search on SDN & SAP Help.
