Sample Provider

I have installed JPDK 3.0.9.0.2. for Portal 3.0.9. I try to register the provider from sample.
I receive an error:
An error occurred when attempting to call the providers register function. (WWC-43134)
An unexpected error occurred: ORA-29541: class PORTAL30.oracle/webdb/provider/web/HttpProviderDispatcher could not be resolved (WWC-43000)
What to do?

I assume that you have gotten the test page successfully.
This class is a Java class in the Database, you may want to check you Portal Java classes to see if anything is invalid.

  • XPATH using XDK Samples provided by oracle.

    Hi,
    I have compiled the demo/cpp/new program samples of Oracle 10.2.0.3 and executing XvmXPathSample which makes use of 'processWithBinXPath' however I am getting correct results only for NODES ... and not text.
    Example .
    In pantry.xml -
    "/pantry/shelf/supplies/*" - works fine and provides me with a list of all the nodes
    however
    "/pantry/shelf/supplies/paper_good[1]/text()" - does not provide me a string output ... it still detects a node output on the XPATHNodeObject.
    Could someone help me out on this ?

  • JPDK - Unable to see Sample provider in repository - getting Error

    I have been trying to intall the sample provider as outlined in

  • JPDK Sample Provider compile error

    Hi
    I have installed 'OracleAS Containers for J2EE Pre-configured PDK', version 9.0.4.
    The Portlal tools are running fine, but the 'JPDK Sample Provider' fails with a compile error:
    500 Internal Server Error
    OracleJSP: oracle.jsp.provider.JspCompileException:
    Errors compiling:C:\pdk-container2\j2ee\home\application-deployments\jpdk\jpdk\persistence\_pages\_htdocs\_testpage\_TestPage.java.
    I have set the PART and JAVA_HOME environment to point to a jsdk:
    java -version
    java version "1.4.2_05"
    Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_05-b04)
    Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2_05-b04, mixed mode).
    Any ideas???

    By setting the home, are you setting the JAVA_HOME to a proper JDK installation, and not to the JRE installation?

  • Crystal report : can't add table in the samples provided by SAP

    Hello,
    I tried to add tables in the generic samples provided  by SAP.  I used the database expert and just added a new table but when I save the report in SAP and want to run it it is blank.
    Is there another way to add a table ?
    BR

    Already tried all those tricks!
    My question is concerning the standard layouts provided by SAP (downloaded from marketplace). The idea behind those reports is that you can use them as Templates.
    The tables are not hardcoded with the table.field name but with a specific syntax that allows you to use those templates in any type of document (ex : you can use the template of sales order for delivery and invoices). The problem is that if you add a new table the report doesn't work!
    Thank you for the response anyway.

  • Problem Configuring the Web Cache Sample Provider

    I am trying to install the web cache sample provider. The instructions indicate that the web cache user name and password need to be obfuscated.
    When I execute the following command from Windows Command Prompt:
    C:\oc4jext\jdk\bin>java -classpath c"\oc4jext\portal\jlib\pdkjava.jar oracle.webdb.provider.v2.cache.Obfuscate username:password
    I get
    java.lang.ClassNotfoundException: oracle.security.misc.Checksum
    The installation instructions indicate that the command should work if the pdkjava.jar and the jawc.jar files are in the correct directories. Both are in the correct directories.
    I've searched for the missing Checksum class but have not been able to find it in the version of oc4j that I am running. I am running a pre-configured version of oc4j, referred to as oc4j_extended. It is version 9.0.4.0.0 build 031125.1647.
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Can you add the $JDEV_HOME/jlib/ojmisc.jar file to the classpath as well? This is the one that contains the Checksum class.

    I checked for invalid objects but I couldn't find any. So given the "NO Method getPortletList" I thought it would be fine if I just reload the the "prohttp.jar" . I thus ran the following command:
    loadjava -thin -resolve -user portal30/portal30@dbs-resources:1521:portal F:\oracle\isuites\portal30\admin\plsql\lib\prohttp.jarit ran fine , after what I tried to register the provider again but I got the same error
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    My configuration:
    AS: 9iAs 1.0.2.2
    DB: 9.0.1.1.1 EE
    portal 3.0.9.8.3
    patches applied: 3.0.9.8.3, 81711, 81715

    Works fine!
    I ran loadjava again with the force option( -f) and everything went through successfully.

    I guess you are not using the proper version of JPDK for the URLServices that you are using.
    Try looking at the URLServices installation/release notes for the version your are using for the JPDK version. Check this version against JPDK.

  • AdfActionEvent and AdfPage.PAGE.findComponent not working - Sample Provided

    Ladies and Gents,

    Hi Frank,
    I agree manipulating the DOM directly is generally bad (I've watched those training videos!), but after doing some decent searching (with quite a bit of trial and error) I'm not sure there exists a purely ADF way of achieving a solution.
    Inside of a region, I have a master (Companies) and a child (Orders) table relationship.  Within the same region, I also have a charting tool which displays the monthly order totals of the selected company.  A customer can select a company and see the related monthly orders in the orders table along with a graph showing the visual sales.  If I were using ADF DVTs, this would be pretty straightforward, but I am not.  To get this to work then, I have a few obstacles.
    1) On jsff load, the chart must initialize with the displayed monthly order data.
    2) On new customer select, the chart must refresh with the newly displayed order data.
    The easiest way to update the chart would be to hook into the orders table component and, whenever the shown data refreshes or initializes, also refresh the chart.  However, I'm not sure where the hook is located for that so I'm back to my two obstacles.
    For the first obstacle, ADF does not (to my knowledge) have an "on jsff load" option so I'm stuck with jquery's load and corresponding id lookup functions.  In my case, that load function looks for a hidden output text component's value whose getter returns the order table row's current monthly data.  This is somewhat of a hack that, in effect, calls a managed bean method from javascript.  Now that I have that data, I can input that into my chart and refresh.
    For the second obstacle, I simply hook into the customer table's selection listener and after the current row is updated, retrieve the order table's current monthly data, refresh chart, etc.
    The question I asked is a simplified version of overcoming the two obstacles above and while my jquery $('#myRefreshButton')[0] is extremely brittle, it was only meant as a quick demonstration.  One could make it less brittle by iterating through the returned array, making sure the desired element contained any regions / naming containers and had the myRefreshButton portion at the end of the id string.
    What would be the desired ADF way of achieving this result?  Do you do something with your Data Visualization Tools that might be applicable here?  Is there a way to hook into the child table and refresh my chart any time child table refreshes or initializes?

  • Flex Mobile - Sound Effect not Playing on List snapping (code sample provided)

    Hello All,
    I'm trying to figure out how to play a Sound Effect on the trigger of the "changing" event on a List.
    So basically I have:
    <s:List id="theList" width="100%"
                itemRenderer="MyIconItemRenderer" verticalScrollPolicy="off"
                pageScrollingEnabled="true" scrollSnappingMode="center"
                caretChange="playSound(event)"> ... </List>
    So the list above snaps to the item to be centered, though I would like on every snap, for it to make a click sound. I've added the method for playing the sound as:
    private var tickChange:Sound;
    private var soundEffectURLRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest('/assets/sound/click.mp3');
    protected function playSound(event:IndexChangeEvent):void  {
         tickChange = new Sound(soundEffectURLRequest);
         tickChange.play();
    The Sound effect plays, though it's not playing at every Snap interval, so if I scroll fast among them, it's not playing, only on the last selection.

    I can´t believe it.. While writing the previous post, I thought on a really simple solution and compiled it to give it a try. It works perfectly!
    As simple as setting the "cacheAsBitmap" property to "true" on the Spark lists of the views!!

    function. (WWC-43134)
    An unexpected error occurred: ORA-29516: Aurora assertion

    be done in this case .This is really urgent for me as my project
    plan is getting delated because of this problem

    Hi Sharmila
    I appreciated your help but I cann't yet figure out the problem.
    First of all the listener is up.
    The datasources.xml file is like that:
         <data-source
              class="com.evermind.sql.DriverManagerDataSource"
              name="OracleDS"
              location="jdbc/emulatedPortletPrefs"
              xa-location="jdbc/xa/portletPrefs"
              ejb-location="jdbc/portletPrefs"
              connection-driver="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"
              username="portlet_prefs"
              password="portlet_prefs"
              url="jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:tcp:1521:infraDB.localhost"
         />
    where ifraDB.localhost is the Global database name
    and the 1521 is the port of the listener
    If you can point out any mistake please let me know!
    Thanks alot for the help!
