SAP can support Director to determine PRICING?

Dear experts,
Today, my customer asked me about Pricing, but I dont know how to answer him.
He asked, Can SAP support me to experted price?
For example, he want to have planed price, then SAP can show him about how much profit with that experted price.
(Because when I show him VK11, I tell him you can enter Price to Amount field)
then him asked me how he can detemine the best price. he just know current price is good or bad in next period, after CO reports.
How can I answer him? plz help me, because I really dont know
Tks

Hi,
It is possible through ECC also
There are lot of Option available to determine profit margin
You can maintain condition type in your pricing procedure
PR00
VPRS
Profit margin
How to configure this VPRS and profit margin see standard pricing procedure RVAA01
Now maintain condition record in VK11 for PR00 this is your basic price
then in sales order this PR00 is determined
also VPRS is determined which you maintained in material master ACCOUNTING TAB 1
then profit margin is calculated as BASIC - VPRS = Profit.
second point if your director having lot of planned price but he want to take only which is best profitable then work with condition EXCLUSION
Example - Your director plan prices 100, 150, 200 for material ABC now at time of sales order he/she want to take only 200
Then in pricing procedure there shuld be three basic condition types
PR00
PR01
PR02
Do configuration in IMG >> SD >> Basic functions >> pricing >> condition exclusion
Define Condition Exclusion Groups
Assign condition types to the exclusion groups
Maintain condition exclusion for pricing procedures - in this maintain condition pricing as A or B as per your requirement
Now when you process sales order system will take condition price which is best that is 200

  • HOW CAN APPLY FREE GOOD 4 PRICING PROCEDURE?

TELL ME SIR HOW CAN APPY FREE GOOD 4 PRICING PROCEDURE?

    Hi Pradeep
1.Run trans. VBN2 to first create master record for free goods as follows:
Enter following information in selection screen:
    - Free goods type: NA00
    - Sales org, distribution channel, customer # and execute.
Now in next screen create the record as follows:
    - First select the exclusive button and verify that you are in exclusive view.
(that is if you want exclusive)
    - Material#, Min qty - Say 34 cartons. (check in what units you want to manage)
      From: 34 cartons
      unit of measure:
      Free goods: 12 Pcs
      Unit of measure: Pcs
Calcualtion type: 1 or try the other options
Deliver control: Blank or any of the other options suitable to you.
    Now save and exit.
Now run VA01 for 34 cartons and press enter. The system will automatically propose the free goods
item at no additional charge. Try higher order qtys and see if the free goods qty are scaling up.
If not adjust the calculation parameters in the master record screen
It should be transaction VBN1. Sorry for the error.
VBN2 is to change the record. VBN1 creates it.
If you want to give free goods to some of the customers than
    1. create a customer group say 99 for FREE GOODS
    In Free Goods Menu:
    2. add a feild catalog for CUSTOMER GROUP
    3. create a condition table (free goods) say 555 only for customer group
    4. create a sequence say FREE with condition table 555
    5. create a condition type say FREE with
    6. maintain pricing procedure say ZFREE with condition type FREE
    Now assign:
    7. Active Free goods Determination or Assign with your sales organisation this procedure ZFREE
    8. Create free goods determination with transaction code /nvbn1 for FREE with Key Csuomer Group
    99 for exclusive
Give customer Group say 99 and from 34 to 34 free 12

  • Price Determination (Pricing) Date Control - Purchase Order

    Hi,
We are exploring the Price Determination (Pricing) Date Control in the Purchase Order.
Clientu2019s requiring  is, correct me if it is a wrong requirement:
    We have created Tax Codes:
    C2 -  CST 2% valid from 01.04.2010
    C3 -  CST 3% valid from 01.04.2010
We have created a purchase order with Tax Code C2 - CST 2% on 30.03.2010 as we are in doing back log entries. Since the tax code is valid from 01.04.2010 only , the purchase order is not displaying the Tax Code Value .
Now we are doing the Goods Receipt on 01.04.2010, the system will not pass the entry for the CST as at time of GR, the System picks up the Tax data from the Purchase Order.
Now we want that the System should pick up the Data at the Goods Receipt, not from the Purchase Order. Some one advised me to use put GR Date in Pr. Date Cat. Under Item-> Condition Control tab. We are able to view the Pr. Date Cat by changing the Screen Layout of ME21N.
We want to know what use of the same & under what condition is, we use this.
    Our suggestion:
    1. We are of the view that we should create the Tax Codes with Valid Date from 01.01.2010 (not from 01.04.2010 as currently maintained)
    2. Or since we are doing the back log entry, we should create all the Open Purchase Orders dated 01.04.2010.
Is this the correct way which we are suggesting?
Please note that we are dealing with Excise Materials also?
    Please guide.

    Thanks for the reply,
While testing the same, I also encountered the somewhat same problem.
You are suggesting that we should change the Tax Code Valid From Date.
What do mean by the follwoing:
Pricing date category "GR date" can't be set in PO if price is entered manually (with condition type PBXX). This also means manually entered conditions at Po will not be used.

  • Purchase Info Record - Price Determination (Pricing) Date Control

    Dear Guru,
Can i get some advice here for the "Price Determination (Pricing) Date Control" (Pr. Date. Cat ) setting which is maintain in the Purchase Info Record --> Purchasing Organization Data 1.
Can anyone advice me on the purpose and where is the configuration?
    Thank You very much,
    Regards,
    Chee Wee

    Hi
If you maintain Pricing date category in info record then different pricing date can be considered for a certain material supplied by a particular vendor.
If you maintain in the Vendor master then the same price determination date will be considered for all the vendors materials.
    For example,
If you want to maintain two pricing for the materials with different periods then you can use the validity periods according to the requirement.
    Validity periods,
    1. 01.11.2010 to 31.12.2010
    2. 01.01.2011 to 31.01.2011

  • SAP DDIC support for Index - Limitation of 16 fields

As some of you know DB2 Index advisor at times recommends indexes with more than 16 fields, Unfortunately SAP doesn't support it creating them from SAP DDIC level (SE11).
We had a recent issue in OLTP system where BW extractor on FAGLFLEXT wasn't performing as expected for a delta run. SAP OSS Support wasn't of much help. We already had an index on TIMESTAMP field, unfortunately the SQL generated by BW Delta run wasn't using TIMESTAMP field for the DELTA run. DB2advisor recommended index for the bad sql resolved the issue for us.
Is there a DB6 DBSL related profile parameter to remove the max index field limitation ?

Thanks Frank as always for quick response.
I have also got an official response from SAP DDIC Development team
Here are the details for others who want to know -
Regarding your question why DDIC supports only up to 16 index fields:
Our applications are supposed to run on several database platforms.
In order to guarantee portability of applications across all of these
DB platforms, we have to set the limits accordingly. Unfortunately,
there is at least one platform that does only support up to 16
index fields and thus we cannot support more in the DDIC. We can only
increase this limit when all supported DB versions - and this might be
very old ones because we cannot force customers to always migrate to
the newest DB version - support this.

  • Does SAP SRM support accelarated service procurement?

    Dear Guru's ,
Can you comment on if SAP SRM supports accelerated service procurement ? My client follows the below business process time to time:
While requiring to perform emergency services (which are also not high valued service), they directly create service entry sheet entering the service performed and create invoice against it in their existing MM system. They donot go for purchase creation and approval process as the effort does not justify the value of the transaction.
Now, since they are going for SAP SRM system, they want to transfer the accelerated service procurement process to SRM system as well.
Does SAP SRM support this business process i.e. creation of service entry sheet or confirmation without any reference to Purchase Order? I donot have any system to check it from myside..
Your inputs will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks and regards,
    Ranjan

    Hi
In Std SRM - GR is always is done with reference to Purchase Order
Therefore it is not possible to post GR or Services without any PO

  • SAP XI support SFTP and FTPS?

    Hi Gurus,
I would like to find out if SAP XI supports both SFTP and FTPS. If yes, how do I perform the configuration?
    Thanks in advance.

    Business Case:
In many implementations Business requirement is to "secure" the file/data transfer between XI and any third-party system. So there is a need of secured connection between XI/PI and any file based third-party legacy systems.
Following solutions are proposed to cater secure connection between XI/PI and any third party systems.
    1) SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol)
"SSH File Transfer Protocol" or SFTP is a network protocol that provides file transfer and manipulation functionality over any reliable data stream. It is typically used with the SSH-2 protocol to provide secure file transfer. SFTP encrypts the session, preventing the casual detection of username, password or anything that is being transmitted. One key benefit to SFTP is its ability to handle multiple secure file transfers over a single encrypted pipe. By using a single encrypted pipe, there are fewer holes in the corporate firewall.
    2) FTPS (FTP over SSL)
FTPS (FTP-SSL) is a real ftp that uses TSL/SSL to encrypt the control session and if required the data session. With FTPS, the control session is always encrypted, but the data session may not be always encrypted. FTPS is a file transport layer on top of SSL. SSL, or Secure Sockets Layer, is a method by which an encrypted u2018pipe' or tunnel is established between the FTP client and FTP server. Once the secure tunnel has been established (which is done using 128-bit encryption techniques), standard FTP is used to transfer data over the secure connection.
Feasibility of SFTP and FTPS in XI:
    SFTP:
As per the latest SAP PI/XI support pack, it does not support SFTP via File Adapter.
So alternative approach to cater this requirement from XI is to make use of Unix Script at OS level to transfer the files from/to third-party systems.
    Inbound Interface - i.e. third-party system ->XI->SAP:
File is transferred to a folder in SAP XI landscape from the third-party legacy system using UNIX Script with secured protocol. Once the file is ready in the XI landscape, File Adapter will poll this directory and file is picked up by NFS protocol.
    Outbound Interface u2013 i.e. SAP->XI->third-party system:
XI is responsible for writing a file into a folder in the XI landscape. These files are transferred to the third-party system by executing UNIX scripts with secured protocol i.e. via sFTP.
    Pre-Requisites:
Public key should be exchanged between external systems and the PI system.
UNIX shell script has to be developed and scheduled.
    Advantages:
    Highly Secured.
Ability to handle multiple secure file transfers over a single encrypted pipe .By using a single encrypted pipe, there are fewer holes in the corporate firewall.
    Disadvantages:
    Two-Step process i.e. XI>Temporary folder>External System and vice-versa
Files have to be temporarily stored in XI server.
Multiple failure points i.e. XI and Unix script execution
Maintenance of an external UNIX script.
Difficulty in monitoring the execution of the shell script as it cannot be monitored thru XI.
Need to generate keys and install it in the SFTP site as a pre-requisite i.e. SFTP clients must install keys on the server.
SFTP uses keys rather than certificates. This means that it can't take advantage of the "chains of trust" paradigm facilitated through Certificate Authorities.
Files from the XI server should be deleted/archived in a periodic manner to increase the disc space so that it will increase the performance.
Note: UNIX shell Script can be executed as a background job u2018or' can be triggered from SAP XI through OS command at File adapter level.
FTPS (File Transfer Protocol Using SSL/TLS):
This is a built-in feature of File adapter in XI. But SAP Java Cryptographic Toolkit must be deployed as a prerequisite. (Refer to note https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/821267 Question 28). By default following ports are used:
Implict FTPs 990 (Control) and 989 (Data)
Explicit FTPs 21 (Control) and 20 (Data)
Both use cases can be combined with active and passive mode.
    Advantages:
Direct transfer of files to/from third-party systems. It is not required to store the files in the XI server temporarily.
Built-In feature from XI File adapter
No extra effort in development and maintenance of Unix Script.
    Centralized Monitoring tool from XI
FTPS uses certificates and therefore can take advantage of "chains of trust" paradigm facilitated through Certificate Authorities. This paradigm makes it possible for two entities to establish a trust relationship without directly exchanging security information, which is important for some applications.
    Disadvantages:
Requires opening multiple ports forenabling SSLin the firewall. So there are multiple holes in the corporate firewall.
Not every FTP server supports FTPS and many that do, require a configuration change to activate the FTPS protocol extension.
Cryptographic toolkit should be installed in XI system though it is not very complex or expensive.
    Conclusion:
Though SFTP seems more secure as it works through one port, FTPS is easier to configure, monitor and maintain from XI point of view. However, the decision depends on many parameters like, cost/effort, flexibility in use, ease of maintenance, company security policy, failure possibilities etc.
    regards

  • ***Price Determination (Pricing) Date Control

    Hi Experts,
The client requirement is that it has a contract maintained for different months with different prices. PO is created for a certain date and price. But they want to do the GR with a later date may be after 5 months for the service they have received. They want to post the GR in the open period but the price should be picked up depending on the contract price maintained for that date in past.
In contract and in Vendor we have a field called Price Determination (Pricing) Date Control which determines which date is to be used for price determination (pricing) purposes.
My issue is if i use manual which is # 5 in contract and in Vendor still when i do the GR i am getting the price with the present posting date or the present date which has been maintained in the contract. Where should i maintain the manual date on GR so that my contract price gets picked up.
    Thanks for your support.
    Mavrik

    Dear Mavrik,
The price always follow the date maintained in the price date field in the condition control tab at ME21N during
creation of the PO. If you want during GR, the price follow a specific date, please kindly check and change
again the date in the particular PO at the same tab and at the condition tab, click the update button after
    change the date.

  • Price Determination (Pricing) Date Control in Info Record

    Hi,
Can anyone help me with the use of
Price Determination (Pricing) Date Control = 5 GR Date in Purchasing Info Record
Does this help in the following case
I have a PO for an year
Each month vendor delivers @ different amount and it is known only @ the time of delivery(with the bill)
We are ready to accept the price from vendor
So if i set Price Determination (Pricing) Date Control = 5 GR Date in Purchasing Info Record
and change the price in Info Record every time before GRN for that particular date,
will it pick the new price or the PO price
We are doing GRN wrt PO.

    Hi,
    Please Help
From what Esther posted i think my requirement can be met, but its not working
    My requirement is
    PO : 1000 qty, @ 10 inr per pc, for a year
first delivery they send 250 @ 10 inr per pc , GRN done wrt PO
    invoice is posted
@nd delivery say after 4 months
they send another 250 this time @ 12 inr per pc
we are accepting the price too , we do GRN wrt PO but 10 inr is adopted
but we need to do it at 12 inr per pc
I am asking whethr this can be done by maintaining '5' in price determination date contol in info record and editing the price(earlier it was 10 , now am editing it to 12) each time before GRN, will this price be adopted during GRN.
    (is there any other alternative)
note: am editing after PO and each time before GRN

  • SAP HR Support Gurus ,,,,,Help Reqd

    Hello Gurus,

If u can give ur contact details with the suggestion it wl b appreciated, so tat i can contact you for more details.
    Thanks in Advance
    Pradeep

    Hi Pradeep,
I think you might have got the scenario regarding the support project.Hence I want to give some inputs.
Support itself gives the meanning what our role is ..! And we , being a support consultant have to solve the issues that has been arised to end users or to the business.
It all depends on the end users ( if they are been trained well then issues will be less) and the implementation consultant( if he had implemented with utmost care and with proper documentation).
Most of the issues will be from end users who dont know how to import or how to enter data. And if they see any error message also, they will raise a ticket (issues tracker).
Also some times we will get payroll related issues where we have to act very fast and resolve the issue cause it will impact the payroll.
And on a daily basis , issues may be on OM as they can be related to structural authorizations or any data related problem..
So i can say , it all depends on Client and the end user and also based on the Business.
Do let me know if you are not satisfied or still have any queries .
    Regards,
    Sri

  • Does SAP SRM support recurring transaction?

    Dear SAP SRM Guru's,
Does SAPSRM support recurring transaction? In few business scenario like lease of a house, or EMI payment of a purchase, the transactions are uniform and repetitive. So, it does not make any sense to create  a PO everytime to make payment to the supplier.
ECC MM does support invoicing plan for such functionality. Does SAP SRM support such recurring transaction in standard? Can you suggest any workaround for that if possible?
    Thanks and regards,
    Ranjan

    Hi Ranjan,
As far as i know SAP SRM does not support recurring transaction or invoicing plan PO. The Alternative for you  requirement  like EMI payment or monthly charges etc can be met in SAP SRM with Limit cart.
You can create a LIMIT cart with value limit  and accordingly  keep  doing GR for part value.
    Thanks
