I dont think SE61 will help.. rather you will have to change the screen element properties on the SAP GUI screen where you want this link.

  • Smartform and SE61 General Texts - Still no answer!!!

    Hi,
    This is in regards to General Texts created in SE61.
    In the smartform, is creating a text as include text the only way to extract data from the SE61 general text object?
    Is there a FM available to do this or is the above method the only possibility?
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    John

  • Why does my page loose formating when i add a text link on an image box?

    I wanted to make my own nav with texts links.  but i wanted to put the nav on an image like a black box.  when i add the text and then link them to pages they started to work when i previewed them in iweb.  But when i uploaded it to my ftp it messed up the formating on my page!  So I tried to add a new text box without a link on the same image... now it doesn't even show up.  What is the general rule of text on images? all i want to do is make a text nav on the image. Also i have made sure the image is sent back and the text to front.

    I don't know if you've fixed them since michaelfromrochester's suggestion but all of the links are white with green rollover for me now.
    If you haven't fixed them the clear your browser's cache (Command+Option+E for Safari) and reload the site.

    Would appreciate for giving solution.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Succhi
    There are a number of oss notes to check: 1169856, 720147, 550343, and 549209
    Please make sure that the text tables are included in the filter as per note 720147.
    Also include the configuration as per note 549209.
    It is necessary that the same text types exist in both systems so please review the configuration carefully.
    I hop this helps.

  • How to handle special character in SAP CRM

    Hi all,
    I am facing a problem on SAP CRM Web UI - Contact Creation - When a special character is inserted on address fields of Business
    Partner (e.g. ` ~ ^ etc.), the interface does not understand this character and changes it to a TRIANGLE on pressing enter key.
    Kindly guide as how to handle it or something is missing in terms of (note or patch).
    I am running on SAP CRM 7.0
    Thanks,
    Pradeep Singh Dhadwal

    Hi Pradeep.
    At the end of the day, a character is stored as a byte sequence on disk, and a code page defines the mapping between the byte sequence and any given character.The code page determines what character you can see and enter, therefore different code pages map different characters to the same byte sequence.
    I suggest you to first check if your system is a Unicode system by checking the System menu->Status option->Unicode system field. I'll assume it is.
    Then, please run report RSCP0018 (optionally also RSCPINST and then select Current NLS config pushbutton).
    These reports will show you the actual configuration of languages and code pages of your Application Server. Please check that the correct languages and code pages are configured. If you need to know more about code pages configuration, please check Note 42305, which explains pretty well the whole process.
    Kind regards, and good luck.

  • Difference between SAP-CRM 2007 UI and previous version UI.

    hi,
    anyone knows the differences difference between SAP-CRM 2007 UI and previous version UI.
    anykind of links or files are helpful.
    regards.
    raman.

    Hi,
    actually quite a late response and I think all the rather technically focuses comments have already been given, incl. the link to a really good slide deck, that explains all the technical architecture details on what exactly we did.
    From an end user perspective some other statements on what we did:
    (1) From an information architecture and visualization perspective we acted based on feedback from our customers in the last years, which led to some restructuring of the screen, e.g. moving the navigation bar from the top area of the screen (horizontal) to the left hand side --> sounds simple but users tend to have problem seeing thing at the top of the screen. We also decided to arrange the information for e.g. an account or an opportunity not in a tab oriented format. Again usability tests in CRM had shown that users often find it hard to see and understand that tabs contain additional information. We now show the details in assignment blocks below the header information in a scrollable format. Vertical scrolling is a behavior of a screen that most users know from their internet experience. Those are just two exampels of what we did in this area
    (2) We also have put a large focus on well known web behaviors, like drag & drop and personalization in general, knowing that on the one hand side, no matter what standard UI we deliver, users tend to adapt it exactly based on their needs and wishes. So you will find really easy to understand personalization options everywhere in the new CRM Web Client UI. To achieve this we used lots of web 2.0 techologies that enable especially these easy interactive capabilitites.
    (3) Finally, and this relates directly to the arguments mentioned in (2) we focused as well on really easy UI configuration. Again, in every customer project user interface changes are made, to adapt the SAP default to the customers needs. here we invested a lot to make the 60-80% most common UI changes done in projects as easy as possible, that even non-technical people can generally do it (like Power users).
    Hope this clarifies some arguments what from the users point of view has been done and what the advantages are.
    When you follow the same link as mentioned by Nadine above, you can also find a presentation UI Concept, which explains all the details rather from a users perspective.
    Best regards and enjoy the new UI ..and every feedback is very much welcome, only with your feedback we can improve the solution even more.
    Ingo

  • Secure hash function with salt to create a not spoofable PRC (SAP CRM)

    Hello SAP Security Community,
    SAP CRM Marketing provides a functionality called Personalized Response Code (PRC, 10 characters). This code can be used in mail, fax, sms or letters to customers. When the customer returns the PRC to the communication initiator, it can be mapped to a campaign and the business partner number of the customer. See also the [SAP Standard Help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm700_ehp01/helpdata/EN/2a/c13463f09c4a1f9c45903e7a0a7230/frameset.htm].
    By default this standard implementation of the BAdI CRM_MKT_PRC_CONVERT is called:
    METHOD if_ex_crm_mkt_prc_convert~convert_prc.
      DATA lv_no      TYPE  crmt_mkt_icrh_prc_num.
      DATA lv_string  TYPE  string.
      DATA lv_pos     TYPE  int4.
      DATA lv_base31  TYPE  string VALUE '0123456789BCDFGHJKLMNPQRSTVWXYZ'.
    **** converting the numeric-base10 into base31
      lv_no = iv_prc.
      CLEAR lv_string.
      DO.
        lv_pos = lv_no MOD 31.
        lv_no  = lv_no DIV 31.
        CONCATENATE lv_base31+lv_pos(1) lv_string INTO lv_string.
        IF lv_no = 0.
          EXIT.
        ENDIF.
      ENDDO.
      MOVE lv_string TO ev_prc.
    ENDMETHOD.
    As you can see it does a simple base31 encoding of the provided input parameter iv_prc which is a number provided by the number range for PRC's.
    I want to use the PRC to make our customers registration process for a trade fair easier. We send out the PRC via a letter to the customers where we don't have an E-Mail address. The letter contains instructions which point the user to a Website that has an input field for the PRC. When the user submits the PRC I'd like to show him/her some personal information (Name, Address, E-Mail) that we lookup using the PRC in the CRM System. This information is then posted to a 3rd party website that has to be used to do the trade fair registration.
    If I would use the simple base31 encoding, then the current counter state could be easily decoded, the next number can be chosen and by applying base31 encoding again, the next valid PRC is created. This could then be misused to read personal information of another customer. I think what could solve this problem would be to use a secure hash function that allows also to be salted to create the PRC.
    Do you think I'm on the right track? Or would it be OK to use the classes described in [Note 1410294 - Support SHA2-family for Message Digest and HMAC|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1410294] and before doing the hashing add a random number to the PRC number that I've got from the number range? What problems do I run in as the PRC could not be longer than 12 characters? For sure I have to check that I don't create any PRC twice.
    Best regards
    Gregor

    Knowledge of PCR should not reveal any personal information to you.
    OK, but in this case the PCR is mapped to the campaign number and the BP-number. It would reveal the information.  Hence a second hash which only allows further processing if it matches. The second hash is a "signature" of the PCR.
    I don't agree with this. The security should NOT be based on hiding how system works. Only key should be secret. In this case it should all depend on quality of PRNG. Check Kerckhoffs's principle. Whenever I see proprietary algorithm in crypto I start to feel nervous about the system.
    Ok, you convinced me. That is also true, but you will have to save the key or the hash it produces to be able to verify it again when the user returns to the website - and in this case it is in clear text ABAP (unless Mr. Wolf wants to create an external program, like SAP does with C-calls).
    From the perspective of the user it is a password and they must be able to transfer it from a snail-mail readable text on paper into a website field.
    As Mr. Wolf has noticed, the next PCRs can be obtained by anyone who can decode standard code (knowing that the BADI is activated).
    I think a correctly placed split and concatenation does the trick for a 20 character field without knowing which part is the PCR and which is the signature (a human can still enter that into a website field).
    I think the big question (appart from the principle - which I agree with you on) is whether the admins and their family members are allowed to bid? Also do the bidders have acces to this system as technical consultants?? (for example to single test methods and function modules in the production system??).
    Also how does the process continue and finally get concluded? Typically there is some "horse trading" in the end anyway...
    All these factors should influence the strength and complexity of the design, and maintenance of it IMO.
    But generally you are correct and I rest my case.
    @ Mr. Wolf: Are you enjoying the debate too much or are you going to give us more insight?
    Cheers,
    Jules

  • I can attach an image to SAP CRM WebUI but was not able to view it

    Dear Experts,
    I was trying to attach an image document to SAP CRM WebUI through cl_crm_documents (Method :- create_with_table) by passing the binary value.
    I receive a string value for the image from IOS team and I convert the same to Xstring and binary in the code. And pass the binary value to the method "create_with_table".
    And I could see the document gets attached. When I try to open the same. The image looks like a small cross bar(i.e :- As if we try to open an unsupported file format.) Though I tried passing both jpeg and png files.
    On the other hand, when I try to attach the same image manually in WebUI. I could view the attached image perfectly. Please find the below code snippet I have used.

  • I defaulted input help field (pick list) but SAP CRM still asking for one

    We are running SAP CRM 7.0.
    Some fields as you know are dialog / pick list fields.
    What I mean by this is they are input help fields where you
    can click a little square (in sap crm 7.0) to the right of the text box
    and it brings up a dialog screen of values that you can select from.
    Here is an example screen shot of what I am talking about:
    http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/5676/imageschak.png
    So what I have done is implemented the GETTER function for this input help field so that by default it has a value.
    The code is like so:
    method GET_CURRENCY.
    CALL METHOD SUPER->GET_CURRENCY
      EXPORTING
        ATTRIBUTE_PATH = attribute_path
       ITERATOR       = iterator
      RECEIVING
        VALUE          = value.
          if value eq ''.
            IF sy-langu EQ 'E'.
              VALUE = 'USD'.
            elseif sy-langu EQ 'D'.
              VALUE = 'EUR'.
            ENDIF.
          endif.
    endmethod.
    Here even is a link to this method that I created: Field Currency of Context Node BTADMINH - How to set default
    The method works great it sets the default of the currency to say USD.  When I click the create button to create an opportunity the field currency is set to USD, this is great because it makes my job easier that I dont have to click the input help button and select a currency, it is already there.
    But once I click the "Save" button for an opportunity I get a small error in the error notification box that tells me I need to select a currency!  But why is this happening a currency already exists?  So If I click the input help (the little button) and reselect the currency value USD then save my opportunity this error goes away.
    The question is why does this happen?  I need it so that the default currency value is recognized by the SAP CRM system.  Why do I have to go back in and re-select the currency if it is already set?  Is there some sort of consistency check or something I need to do to eliminate this problem?
    Here is a screen shot after creating an opportunity with the default Currency set to USD (this means I did not select USD in the dialog input help it was defaulted by the getter method:

    Only if I go back into edit mode and actually click the little square to bring up the dialog of values and select USD does this error go away.  Why does this happen ?

    I called SET_CURRENCY right after setting my value and the error is now gone.
      SET_CURRENCY( EXPORTING ATTRIBUTE_PATH = ATTRIBUTE_PATH
                    iterator = iterator
                    value = value ).
