Porém observe que o uso da badi nova J_1BNF_ADD_DATA não é requerido para implementação do layout 3.10.

New Development project in the middle of ECC EHP7 upgrade project

Hi All,
We are performing ECC EHP7 upgrade project in our project system landscape and i have already started Dev system upgrade.Suddenly our development team wants to perform new project which required to install add-on product from third party application. Installing new add-on will require us to regenerate stack.xml file right? if that is the case do we need to perform re upgrade to Dev right?. As per my knowledge this is not recommended to perform parallel project with upgrade project.
Is there any best practice or recommended method to perform multiple projects with upgrade project at the same time.

Hi Raghu,
First here i would like to suggest you & your development team i.e during an upgrade project dual maintenance is required as per SUM guide,as per SUM guide you need to maintain parallel systems to perform regular activities, for same you could refer SUM guides and follow the standard procedures.

Yes you need to regenerate the stack.xml file .
if that is the case do we need to perform re upgrade to Dev right?
If you are under upgrade phase no need to perform re upgrade,required add on can be installed after completion of an upgrade as per availability for EHP7.
Try to avoid perform multiple projects with upgrade project .

BPM 7.20 SP 7 vs ECC EHP7

Hi,
We are using BPM 7.20 SP7.
We are currently upgrading our ECC 6.0 to EHP7, CRM to EHP3, PI to 7.4 & SCM to EHP3. We want to check whether we need to upgrade our BPM 7.20 SP7? or our current version is compatible with EHP7?

ESS - Employee photo upload - error - ECC EHP7

Having a look at the settings in our system where this is working, I can see that we have used SDOKCONT1, we haven't created a ZSDOKCONT1. Maybe you can try this as well?
The other difference is that under the Protocol tab i.e. in transaction OAC0 we have created our own Protocol ZHRPRO, and this is maintained via (i think) via transaction OAA3. Our settings for this are:

HTTP response contains unexpected content-type(100,101) in SAP ADS?

Our current landscape is SAP ECC EHP7 on SAP NW 7.40 and SAP ADS is installed on Central HUB system which is SAP NW 7.4 SP08 Java Stack System.
We have done configuration on both ABAP & JAVA Stack but when we run FP_PDF_TEST_00 program in SE38 then it's giving the below error
Can anyone suggest me how to solve the above error.
Also please provide any document or link, How to Configure ADS 7.40 in both ABAP and JAVA Stack.

Thanks for your valuable replies and help.
I have tested the connection from JAVA Stack system to ABAP Stack. i.e. FP_ICF_DATA_<SID> destination from NWA of Java Stack system and it's connecting successfully.

The above path is working fine.
in the above screen, Destination tested successfully from JAVA Stack to ABAP Stack system.
But the connection from ABAP Stack to Java Stack is not working for which i have created a RFC Destination in SM59 in ABAP Stack system. i.e. ADS and the error is copied below.
I have checked the password of ADSUser in Java Stack system and it's fine.
I ran the report FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE and it's giving the below error.
I'm not able to understand what could be the issue.
Can you please suggest me the steps to be done
1. JAVA Stack System
2. ABAP Stack System like any mandatory authorization needed for ADSUSer or ADS_AGENT user in ABAP Stack system to connect with JAVA Stack system.
I think the you mentioned above and the path in the below would be same if not please let me know the exact path and if yes then how could i mention password for ADSUser here.
In the above path, i was not able to find "WS Clients Single Configuration".
Please help me in resolving the above issue.

How to create repository in SAP XECM 10.5 Opentext

Hello,
I have installed SAP Extended ECM 10.5 Opentext with MSSQL database for SAP suite. As per the installation guide I have installed Archive and Content server. But I am facing problem to setup the repository in ECC server which connect to Opentext server.
In OAC0 transaction, what parameters value have to be given to setup up repository ??
As per guide I have created a logical archive as "A1" in client Administration, but I don't know how to use it in ECC system ?
I need to know what values have to be assign here to create A1 repository?
Also when I click in Protocol tab, no values are found. As per the installation guide two protocols must be shown here. I have properly run the setup but strange to see the no values in protocol tab.

ISU and general ECC 6.0 functions in same client

Dear experts,
This might seem very similar to many questions asked, but I seem to have no concrete answer to my question.
I know that ISU comes integrated with ECC 6.0 but our Basis consultant is saying that we cannot have ISU functions and ECC general functionalities in the same client.
Is this true? Or can we use all ISU and ECC 6.0 general functions in the same client?

As I mentioned in my reply, there is no technical restriction as to why ISU and ECC would be implemented in separate clients. Doing it that way will increase work for implementation as you are disrupting normal integration processes. In my experience, maybe only 5% of customers separate the functions and this is due to business requirements. the overwhelming majority implement them in one client so as to make use of standard integration of business processes.

IW22/IW23 Long text font error

Hi,
I'm not sure whether this is the right thread to post this question, maybe it is about general basis, I'm not sure.
In the IW22/23 notification screen, the Turkish characters in the long text are displayed wrong, like in the picture.
The Sap GUI setting fonts are Turkish.
We are having this problem after the ECC EHP7 upgrade.
What can be done to resolve this issue?

ESS CATS Timesheet without Project Systems

Hi experts,
My customer have ECC EhP7. So far the customer uses a .NET based custom web based application to book time against projects.
Possibly the project information are stored somewhere in the background database the custom application is connecting to.
Now they want to move to SAP ESS CATS for time recording.
Also, they have not implemented the projects information in PS module and have no plan for the same.
In this situation, if I have to get those project information in CATS, what are my options?
Is it mandatory in CATS to maintain the project details in PS module ?

HCM Processes & Forms in EccEhp7/EP7.4

We are on SAP ECC EHP7, and SAP EP 7.4.
On EP, we installed business packages: ESS WDABAP and MSS Add-on 1.0. The ESS/MSS are based on new WDA content, so there was no need to create JCO connections.
We are started developing and using HCM processes and forms, using adobe interactive forms.
to test the HCM P&F, is it the only way that testing can be done using SAP EP only?
I checked in EP, but the role HR Administrator is not available. do we need to install a special content into EP.
although we are in ecc ehp7/ep7.4, is HR Administrator role is based on Webdynporo Java iview or WDA iview, is it mandatory to use jCos,
For AIF based P&F, is it mandatory that approver accesses UWL in portal only.
instead of AIF, if we start using FPM based P&F, how can we test directly without Portal.
actually, we are just in development phase, we are the checking the options of handy way of testing end to end, the AIF based and FPM based P&F.

Since you are on the latest EhP it is better to go with the newly delivered start process application which documented @ Assignment of a Process to PFCG Roles - HCM Processes and Forms - SAP Library as mentioned by Deepak. The advantage being this application is capable of launching both AIF and FPM based forms and is based on WDA which SAP's preferred UI development technology for Business suite applications.
Most of the testing can be done directly using HRASR_TEST_PROCESS in DEV.
If the customer is ok with using NWBC in place of portal there is no need to use UWL. But NWBC HR Admin role uses POWL based workflow inbox in place portal UWL. However workflow scenarios should be tested from the portal UWL/POWL inbox - so as to ensure the complete process flow works seamlessly.
As long as you use WDA based applications I think JCos will not be needed.
Moreover with the note 1685257 - Upload of SAP delivered NWBC Roles to SAP Netweaver Portal you can port NWBC PFCG SAP_ASR_HRADMIN_SR_HCM_CI_4 role to portal role.

ME55 DUMP error after EHP upgrade

Is this a common issue? I could not find the same issue noted before.

Installing FIORI TIMESHEET Recording & Approve COMPONENTS

Hi Guys,
While i'm trying to install FIORI TIMESHEET Recording & Approve components related to UISRA* on 7.4 gateway server and SRA* components in ECC ehp7 server as mentioned in the installation guide .
I have installed UISRA002 on GW server but when i try to install UISRA010 prerequisites are UI_INFRA & UI_INFRA add-on's it asks for the stack xml file as shown below do we need to use solution manager ?
if the components were updated kindly let us know the new components or advice how to fix this issue .

Do not install UISRA*. Those are old UI.
Important Note: Please use new UI with new SAP Fiori Launchpad
New UI components have UI extension points and work with new SAP Fiori Launchpad.
Please find correct components based on your Backend version.

i'm upgrading an istance from EHP4 to EHP7 on DB2/Windows, during the phase PREP_PARSETUP/BATCHCHK_IMP i have an error:

I do a remote comparision (i'm upgrading to EHP7 test system, development and production are EHP4) of the program SAPLSUGI and i can see a lot of difference in the ugrading system, this was modified yesterday by user SAP.
Program SAPLSUGI call also LSUGIU04 and watching this i can see at the end of the source code this strange string of T:

Hi,
This sure looks corrupted. I checked our ECC EhP7 system and the function module SUBST_START_BATCHJOB has only 281 lines. The last two ENDIF's from you screenshot should finish with an END FUNCTION.
If this is a non-production system, can suggest removing the additional junk characters and proceeding with the upgrade. If this is a production upgrade, please raise it with SAP.
