SAP free memory is less than 30MB
HI Gurus,
I have a concerned with regards to the memory of our Server. As per checking from ST06N the free memory is less than 30MB.
Is this normal? Because everytime I reached this low memory Users could not log on resulting to restart the SAP application.
Here is the hardware details:

We just recently increased the available memory from 8GB to 24GB to help ensure that there is enough memory. This error never happened on CRM v4. According to the resource monitor, SQL is only reserving 20.7GB of RAM and there is 694MB of RAM in Standby.
The main Async service is using 660MB and the maintenance Async service is using 265MB.
To resolve the issue temporarily, I restarted both Async services this morning. Shortly after everything came back, they were holding fairly steady around 350MB and 200MB. It's been six hours since then.
The last time I spoke with Microsoft about a similar problem, they suggested increasing the amount of RAM.It became more and more of a problem. It was impacting the users in a more subtle way at first. You couldn't configure the CRM for Outlook client. After a while, they couldn't use CRM in Outlook at all and users reporting not being able to complete phone
call activities. I opened a ticket with MS and they suggested the same as Wilson Lou did. The organization error had nothing to do with the creep on the async services usage of RAM. It was indeed caused by SQL stealing all of the memory. Limiting the max usage
to 24GB RAM has resolved that error.
My Async processes are still using a LOT of RAM, but now that I have more than enough RAM, it doesn't seem to be a problem anymore. They are currently using about 700MB RAM each.
Also, I have upgraded to SP1, UR2.

So far, I looked at your first solution, Revo Uninstaller and it gives you a 30 free trial. Ergo, it will eventually cost money so I'm leery of using those kinds of programs in general, meaning most "free trials" have unwanted strings attached and often are big probs to get rid of later. Perhaps you can assure me that it is easy and very user friendly, before I proceed. And I already ran malwarebytes and it found nothing tho the program still can't be uninstalled. I downloaded Adw Cleaner and during the install, my Norton's security popped up and warned that there were (low risk) threats with two of their "other offers" and i hadn't even actually clicked to agree either of them. Nonetheless, Norton warned me against the "lyrics finder" and "deal ply." In fact, there was a box already with an x in it, saying that you are accepting deal ply if you x on "next." Well, except I unchecked that box before clicking on next, yet when it went to fully install, it still showed that it was adding itself; so, just before the install was 100% completed, I had to abort the whole thing. I really do hope your other suggestions are programs that you personally know that they don't try and trick you. But right now, I would not suggest Adw Cleaner to anyone. I even read the fine print about what they will try and install and how to decline and it still tried sticking stuff on that i believed I had declined. Anyways, i have to leave now, shall pick up later this evening, if my pc is still functioning. -

my project is displaying the following error, when you generate a TXT record with 3 million.
I have a project that when executato DS goes to a Z table in SAP selects every record in this table (+ 3 million), and on DS it generates a TXT file separated by semicolons (;). But the DS is not getting serar this file with more than 3 million record, the DS displays the following error:

Is Ipad3 memory effectively less than iPad1?
I set up Ipad3 via "restore backup" to load iPad1 data/settings. The unused memory in iPad1 was 14GB (out of 57 available) and new is only 1GB. Photos are taking up 1/3 more space (29gb v. 21GB) and Other is also using much more (6GB v. 2GB). Genius Bar says they think photo size increase is because of new display (larger thumbnails) and Other is because of operating system (even though the operating system already reduces the starting point from 64GB to 57GB). Does this make sense? Is anyone else experiencing this? I will probably be returning it if the iPad3 is really going to eat up that much memory with the new display - not a good tradeoff for me. But I first want to confirm if this is normal or an issue specific to my unit.
Storage, not memory.
In regards to 64GB to 57GB, that is not due to the size of operating system. Per this link, the same applies to flash storage.

Other should not be that large. This means some data transferred was not categorized correctly or there is some partial corruption. -

Why is actual memory less than specifi

I own a Creative Muvo TX FM (256MB) and I was just wondering why the actual memory is less than 256MB. For instance I see this in other players and in my own I have only 243.5MB.
Also, is changing the format from FAT to FAT32 going to change this "practical amount"?

JacobAlso, remember that when you are looking at actual space on the player, in the "industry", a mega-byte (MB) is ,000 kilo-bytes (KB) and not ,024.
And yes, the operating system is going to also chew some space. -

I think you should review what you wrote. There is no question, hence, my reply. I can't tell by the AM listing what applications are using memory. You need to click on the Real Mem column once or twice to display in descending order.
Aside from what you see in AM, what exactly is your problem or perceived problem. You are very low on Free Mem at the moment the screen shot was taken. Those displays are not depicting your computer's instantaneous memory usage.

The amount of available RAM for applications is the sum of Free RAM and Inactive RAM. This will change as applications are opened and closed or change from active to inactive status. The Swap figure represents an estimate of the total amount of swap space required for VM if used, but does not necessarily indicate the actual size of the existing swap file. If you are really in need of more RAM that would be indicated by how frequently the system uses VM. If you open the Terminal and run the top command at the prompt you will find information reported on Pageins () and Pageouts (). Pageouts () is the important figure. If the value in the parentheses is 0 (zero) then OS X is not making instantaneous use of VM which means you have adequate physical RAM for the system with the applications you have loaded. If the figure in parentheses is running positive and your hard drive is constantly being used (thrashing) then you need more physical RAM.
Adding RAM only makes it possible to run more programs concurrently. It doesn't speed up the computer nor make games run faster. What it can do is prevent the system from having to use disk-based VM when it runs out of RAM because you are trying to run too many applications concurrently or using applications that are extremely RAM dependent. It will improve the performance of applications that run mostly in RAM or when loading programs. -
SALE ORDER QUANTITY LESS THAN DELIVERY QUANTITY ? NO CECK IN SAP ??

I created a sales order of quantity 10 , having two material codes each having quantity 4 and 6 . i created delivery for the one by putting delivered quantity 4 and save , then i created delivery for second and put delivered quantity 8 which was greater than the sale order quantity left ,system saved the delivery and didn't popped any error message.
Does SAP have options to over come this mistake by end users.

Let me explain you further one more situation.
First one, Your query is if for item A ord qty is 6 the system saved the delivery with 8 qty which is greater than ordered quantity. I know the gives a warning doing this.
Second Situation :
Say item A ordered qty is 5, and i made a delivery for 3 and saved it. Now the open quantity on the order is only 2. (5 -3 =2). But one of our users reduced the ordered quantity to 2 despite saving a delivery with quantity 3.
so the situation is ord qty is 2 and delivered is 3 qty. which is again wrong. But while reducing the ordered quantity less than the delivered quantity the system gives a warning message telling " ORDERED QUANTITY IS LESS THAN DELIVERED QUANTITY ".
Also just imagine we made delivery for qty 5 and invoiced it.After which you reduced the delivered quantity to say 3. So delivered is 3 but invoiced is 5.
Hence for these kinds of practical problems we have addressed them through user exits with the help of our ABAP'ers by turning those warning messages into error messages by selecting the suitable message class.

MacBook Pro and Mac with less than 2GB memory - can they be upgraded to Lion?
Seems an expensive option re buying new memory if not - or am I missing the point?
The full requirements for Lion are
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available space
It's probable that installer won't run if you have less than 2GB, or if it does that you will have problems with too little memory. However if your Mac has only that little memory it's quite possible that it's old enough not to meet the other specifications, in particular the requirement for Intel Core 2 Duo or the others listed above, and they are absolute requirements.
If your Macs meet the other specs you would find adding memory would make them run better, whether you upgrade or not: it's not terribly expensive. -
My computer shows i have 24 gigs(image 1)but, it wont let me do the boot camp because it says i hve less than 10(image 2).
buy a bigger hard drive.
you can't take away so much from Mac volume as to leave it with less than 20%/20GB and have a functional OS.
And you can't install Windows 7 with just 24GB.
you can't use free space that is fragmented and not contiguous.
you would have to get a larger SSD - OWC Macsales has SSD for the Air - or off load as much as possible to free up an add'l 40GB, at a minimum.
SSDs need free space of their own to function and allow for degradation, provisioning, garbage collection.
You have what OX Lion needs, maybe, but none to spare for another OS.
You might be able to run Windows in a VM like VirtualBox or Parallels and try to "get away" with it, but not natively. -
Yesterday, i plugged in headphones, and when i took them out, it said headphones were still in it when i tried to change the volume. Now it cannot play any volume, or take in any volume, unless you have headphones plugged in and the have a built in microphone. Since i got my ipod less than a year ago, will i get a new one for free?

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted. -
My first iPad charger was handled with some roughness, so as such I never argued when I was told I had to pay to replace it when it tore. There's only one way to find out what Apple might do in your case. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.
I will say though that I've had two iPads and an iPhone and my wife also has an iPhone. Total use time is 6-7 years and we've never had a cable tear or fail. -
Are the fonts that are available to me when I am using the free trial of InDesign less than when I use the purchased version of InDesign?
Try to find out: When you install the Creative Cloud Desktop app, Click Assets, then click Fonts. Click Add Fonts from Typekit. If you can do that, you're in. Of course, you won't be able to use them more than 30 days unless you subscribe. (But fonts embedded in a PDF or EPUB file would be fine.)
Those of us who are CC subscribers cannot test this out easily.
