SAP JAVA Export alone NW7.3
Hi All,
We are using NW7.3 for SAP BPM Application.
We are planning for Source system java export alone in NW 7.3. But we don't find the option for central instance export under based on AS java in SAPINST. only database instance export option only exist. I know there is no central instance concept from NW7.3. We are trying to refresh the CATE system using Production system. we are already performed database refresh in CATE system and trying to export java profile in source system and import into CATE system.
Please tell us the procedure for central instance export in NW7.3.

there is no option to export CI in NW 7.3. SAP has moved all java related data to Database.

We need to reinstall the JAVA part alone in ABAP+JAVA
Dear Sir/Madam,
We have an SAP ECC 6.0 system with ABAP+JAVA components. Now there are some issue with our Java comp. and I'm unable to start the JAVA engine. As we have done little configuration on JAVA side we are planning to reinstall the JAVA part alone.
1)Can we uninstall the the JAVA Component alone from the ABAP+JAVA Central instance?(Without affecting the ABAP Part)
2)Can we install a new JAVA addin in our existing ABAP+JAVA system?
3)If yes; is there any special steps appart from the master guide "4.4.2 Installing the Java Add-In for an Existing ABAP System" ?

We have done a Homogeneous system copy from our DEV system to QA system(SAP ECC 6.0 ABAP+JAVA with Oracle 10g)
Our issue is we are unable to connect the VA it shows "Unable to lookup connection default".
We've noticed that the Instance ID in our config tool still shows the DEV Instance ID and the Instance.properties files shows the QA system instance ID.
In our DEV it's given

Java Export hangs at 'Export Java Database Content' phase
Hi All -
As part of system refresh activities,we are doing Java Export from our Production system(PE1) & we will use that export to import it in our Qulaity system(QE1).So while doing Java Export,the export gets stucks/hangs at 'Export Java Database Content" phase which is the last phase in Java Export steps.We have been doing this task since many years & we did not encounter this kind of issue ever.There are no errors or at least warnings in the logs like sapinst_dev.log,jload.log,jload.java.log,sapinst.log etc.Our environment details are as below
EP -6.0
OS - AIX 5.3,64 BIT
DB - DB2 UDB
SAPINST version - 642
Java version is below
pe1adm> java -fullversion
java full version "J2RE 1.4.2 IBM AIX 5L for PowerPC (64 bit JVM) build caix64142ifx-20100918 (SR13 FP6)"
Please note with the SAPINST we are using currently, the exports of remaining systems in EP & other solutions like ECC,CR,SRM,XI,BI are successfull.We are having this issue only in PE1.Looks like some bug in code.So request the experts in this forum to please take a look at it & provide me with solution if any of you have faced the similar situation.

Nagendra.Thank you for your reply Subhash.The below is the last entry in jload.log.It is at EP_ATTR_HEADERS.While doing the Java export,we asked our DBA to monitor to find out any errors at DB side.He monitored and said that no deadlocks or no infinite loops are found.Also he said that he cannot create index for that too because it is trying to do select *.In our first 2 or 3 attempts it used to hang at CA_PRODUCTS meta data exported,CA_PROPERTY meta data exported.Now here.Our DBA said that EP_ATTR_HEADERS has 1.4M rows.We tried to bounce the entire system also,but no luck.We have the same issue.Peculiar thing is we dont see any errors or warnings in the logs.

SLTOOLS.SAR error when importing from JAVA export
I have done a standard system copy JAVA Export from a NW 7.01 EHP1 going to a new target system that is identical to the source. I then moved the export files to the target and am running the import.
I am now getting an error stating: "error opening X:\EPD_EXPORT\JAVA/TOOLS/SLTOOLS.SAR (error 6). The system cannot find the path specified".
This TOOLS folder and SLTOOLS.SAR file does not exist because it was not created when I did the export from the source system. Any idea why this was not created during the export? Also, how can I obtain SLTOOLS.SAR? Thanks in advance.Hi,
Did you check "DB specic tools" during the export ? if not, try that option and export it.
SLtools should be under $SAPGlobalDir/sltools - (Please check whether your SOURCE system has it)

Hi,
I am performing a Database migration from DB2 to MSSQL Server.
The JAVA system copy guide tells to use SAPINST to export Java. However I do not find any option in SAPINST 640 to do a Java export.
<u>Environment information:</u>
CRM 4.0 with WAS 640.
J2EE engine has MapBox SP08 installed on it. Need to migrate this as well.

Mangesh PiseCurrently it is not supported with just sapinst. There are other options that you need to use along with sapint(similar to HA installation). You need to read the instguide that is described in oss note 785848. This is the extract from the file:
"SAP will deliver the Java System Copy feature in SAP NetWeaver `04 Support Release 1. Since this is a new feature, SAP has decided that these projects can only be performed under SAPs control during the introductory phase. Before you start a Java System Copy, you must contact SAP to get more information. To do this, open an SAP Service Marketplace message."
Then you will realize that you need to raise OSS Message under BC-INS-MIG since it should be recognition of SAP you should perform this task. Create message with SUBJECT "JSCNW04SR1: {hom het} / <SRCDB>/<SRCOS> to <TRGDB>/<TRGOS>'"

Installing SAP Java License without Visual Admin
Hi All,
I installed a stand alone SAP Java instance a couple of months ago and the temp license key has expired.
I have applied for a perm license key, which I now have.
Here is my main issue:
1. The JControl service will not start because it "failed license check"
2. The Java VM won't start because of issue "1".
3. I can't start the Visual Admin tool because of issue "2".
Hope that all makes sense :-s
Main Question:
Does anyone know how to install my new license WITHOUT using the Visual Admin tool?

Configuring JCo3 Connection Pool with single sign on on non SAP Java server
Hi Everyone,
i have configured a connection pool on JBoss as per JCo3 Documentation and is working great.
Now I need help to configure this connection pool with single sign on so that RFc on SAP ECC systems are executed using end users credential rather than using single user name password used to configure JCo connection pool.
On SAP Java stack I am sure its possible within Java WebDynpro and i assume using JCA resource adapter. But what if we don't want to use SAP Java App server.
Any help will be appreciated.

I'm trying to generate Java Proxies for SAPJCO using the SAP Java Connectivity Builder (JCB). I got it from the NetWeaver 6.20 Release. The tool installs and runs properly but after putting in the connection properties and klicking "next", the application hangs. When activating System output, I get the error shown below.
I already tried to put all jar files contained in the C:\JBuilder5\lib\ext directiry into the classpath (but none of them contains the class mentioned).
Which is the right (standalone) tool for generating Java Proxies for a standalone Java application?
If it is JCB, is there a bug on the version I use (NetWeaver Release 6.20)?

SAP Java Crypto Toolkit was not found
Hi,
I m trying to install Netweaver 7.0 BI and portal with SR3 package. Installation is Cluster installation on windows 2008 and sql 2008 platform. When I came to Centarl instance installtion. On Start Java Phase I had the error. I put the error below. I check the notes Note 1071472 - FileSystem SecureStore connection issues, Note 914818 - JSPM: Could not detect database, Note 1154133 - JSPM: SAP Java Crypto Toolkit was not found.

It looks like the JCE file which you have downloaded is not the correct one. As you can see some jar files are missing. Check JCE files.

SSO to non-SAP java running on Websphere
Hi,
I have an EP6 SP2 P5 and another java b2b app running on websphere app server and they are on different domains. I'm trying to figure out how to make sso to that app. There is a guide on SDN written by Tim Mullé, Stephan Boecker "Enabling Single Sign-On from SAP J2EE Engine/EP to Non-SAP Java Applications" . I'm wondering if can make it work if I follow that guide and also the cross domain integration guide for sending cookies across domains?

AhmetThe process described in the cross-domain document will be necessary in order to get the MYSAPSSO2 cookies to your non-SAP application. You cannot get your browser to send domain1.com cookies to a domain2.com server. Therefro it is necessary to provide an alternate pathway - in this case using http POST. Then the target of the POST on domain2 can handle the data and return a cookie in its own domain. At that point you can either create your own cookie for websphere to use, or you can simply re-issue the cookie in domain2.com. SAP provides some libraries that will enable the other application to validate the cookie.

I am unsure how to install the SAP Java Connector on Linux (Suse Linux Enterprise 10). The SAP Integration Kit install and admin guide says:

Where do I have to copy the file sapjco.jar to? There is no shared lib folder after installing BO Edge 3.1 on a Linux system.
I copied the sapjco.jar to /bobje/tomcat/common/lib but still get the message that the Java Connector files are not in the correct directory.
I already copied the files librfccm.so and libsapjcorfc.so to /bobje/enterprise120/linux_x86 .

Edit: problem solved: Copying the sapjco.so to tomcat/shared/lib is correct, if the directory doesn't exist then just create it (mkdir). The message is just plain information 7 hint. -

Are you speaking about the standrad SAP roles? If yes, you can have a look at BC and ABAP roles. However, if your question is about the created roles, you should see the convention that was followed in your organization to identify the roles.

Problem removing SAP java system

I've been trying to remove a SAP java system using the uninstall program and have been encountering a problem with the following log:

this usually appears in case you stop deinstallation somewhere in the middle. XServer is a service of MaxDB, the DB delivered from SAP.
You could try the program sapstartsrv, which gives you the option to deinstall some services. For this you have to know the SID you gave to the system (also a directory name in the usr/sap/ path with three letters). For XServer please refer to the databases manual.
