I have to post it to R3 using IDOC WPUUMS
Sender side i have to use File adapter as i have to pic up a file from FTP.
Receiver side i have to use IDOC adapter a i have to post it to R3.
What are the things i have to do with respect to IS-Retail fundamentals, please explain in detail.
What kind of mapping i have to use.

Hi Dheeraj,
the challenge with the "map the TLOG and create WPUUMS Idoc" is that inside the TLOG you are getting receipt based data. But for the WPUUMS IDOC you'd be expecting to see aggregated information.
The better and recommended way to integrate SAP POS with SAP Retail is to use the delivered standard integration with the following two data streams:
1. SAP Retail master data (e.g. articels, prices, promotions) to SAP PI to SAP POS
2. SAP POS - Transnet - SAP PI - SAP POS DM - SAP BW/SAP Retail
The advantage would be that aggregation is handled in POS DM and you have all the detail available in SAP BW and that you will be able to utilize the data collected for other processes as well.
Please check the Wiki for POS Integration which will give you a good overview about the integration and covered scenarios:
https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/CK/ExchangeInfrastructure-SAPPOS+Integration
For SAP POS DM you will find a wiki here:
https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Retail/SAPPOSDM%28SAPPoint-of-SaleDataManagement%29
Additionally there are two courses focussing on this topics:
Integration: W26TGI

  • Inbound scenario using tRFC - serialization

    Hi Guys,
    I have the following scenario:
An external System is communicating with SAP using tRFC queue.
So from the SAP perspective this is an inbound scenario.
I am wondering if the sequence of the IDocs that are attached to the tRFC queue by that external system
is kept while they get processed on the SAP side.
To say it in other words: Will SAP process the IDOcs in the same sequence as they were attached to the RFC queue before?
So if there is a communication error will be the sequence kept after communication is established again?
Or do I have to build the timestamp serialization - what I want to avoid as the ALE input function module doesn't provide this.
    Thanks a lot.

  • SAP ISR -XI - SAP POS. File size more than 11 KB failing in Inbound

    Hi All,
We are implementing SAP ISR- XI - POS Retail implementation using
Standard Content Store Connectivity 2.0, GM Store Connectivity 1.0, and
    other contents.
In our Inbound Scenario File-RFC , we are picking files from FTP server
for sales and totals data and if the size of this sales data file in
format *_XI_INPUT.DAT is greater than 11 kb , it is failing at XI
Mapping level, saying Exception occurred during XSLT
mapping "GMTLog2IXRetailPOSLog" of the application. We have tried and tested at mapping level no error found as this is processing files below 11 Kb successfully with same mappings, Also this is standard Mapping by SAP in form of XI Content Store connectivity 2.0.
At XI Side we have processed the file of eg: 40 KB  by splitting the record data and making
file size less than 11KB and it is being processed successfully, but file of 40 kb fails.
    XI Server: AIX  Server.
There may be some memory setting missing or some basis problem also. Kindly let me know how to proceed.
    Regards,
    Surbhi Bhagat

    hi,
this is hard to believe that such small files cannot be processed
do your XI mappings work for any other flows with something more then 11kb?
let me know about that and then we will know some more
as this is realy very small size
maybe your XI was installed in on PocketPC

  • Integration between SAP POS Triversity and SAP POS DM using XI

    Hi Experts,
my company is plannig to integrate SAP POS with POS DM using XI. I need to speak to some 1 who has already gone through the process, as for this there are bottlenecks in 2 areas initially .
    1. GM Store Connectivity is an object supposed to be available in market place in .TPZ  file needs to be imported into the XI development system. This object is not available in the market place of  SAP as per  url   "
http://sap.com/xi/GMStoreConnectivity. " Without this , I cannot go any further!
    2. The PDF file containing entire processing steps " SAP Business Package for Store Connectivity POS Integration
Configuration Guide" Release 2.0 April 4, 2007, is incomplete. Is there any one who can offer me with the latest version of this document in PDF. Or is there any one who has worked with this PDF, so that I can discuss the same .
Thanks in advance to all of you,

  • File -- IDOC scenario using XI 3.0

    Hi
I tried out a simple flat file to IDOC scenario using XI as the middleware and tried to post documents of type CREMAS03 on the backend R/3 system.
Now, I see that there is an IDOC number generated in the XI layer by the IDOC adapter. This IDOC number is seen under <SAP:DOCNUM>XXXXXXXXXX</SAP:DOCNUM>in the
Response-->IDOCOUTBOUND section of the pipeline in SXMB_MONI
    According to SAP documentation :
<b>To enable you to select IDocs in the target system later on, the system transfers the message GUID and the IDoc number in the ARCKEY field of the IDoc control record.</b>
Now, I do find the XI msgid given as arckey in the control record of the Inbound in the target R/3 backend system. But I cannot find the XI IDOC number being cross referenced in the control record of the IDOC in the R/3 backend.
1.Is there a way to cross reference the IDOC number in XI with the IDOC number in the R/3 backend ( we have two different IDOC numbers, right ) i.e a IDOC number to IDOC number cross referencing in this File-->IDOC inbound into the R/3 system scenario involving XI
    2. In the XI box, do we get as a part of async.reponse from the R3 system, the IDOC number that is created within the R3 system ? This would serve directly as a cross reference. Or do we have to indirectly query EDIDC table in the R/3 backend with the arckey value = msgid in XI - to retrieve the IDOC number created in the R3 backend ?
Thank you in advance for your time.

    Hi,
Pls look into following link about Acknowledgement.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/f4/8620c6b58c422c960c53f3ed71b432/content.htm
Pls note that , you can't get/receive the Acknowledgement for Sender File Adapter. Because File System acts as an Async system. But you can get the Idoc response and you can write it into another file. For this you need to use BPM.
    Hope this helps..

  • Inbound Interface using Idoc

    Hi sir,
I am working on an inbound scenario for goods movements from ABC system to SAP thru WPUWBW01 IDOC
I have to do two things:
Step 1: SAP read flat file from ABC sysem & Convert data from flat file into IDOC structure according to the agreed data mapping
Step 2: Process IDOC  to create goods movement.
I have very less idea on inbound scenarios. I know for outbound we used to write code in User exits.
What about inbound one? where to write code.
    Please suggest.
    Regards
    Krishan

    Hi!
    1. By giving different parameters to the BAPIs. Check out transaction MIGO. You'll see A01 operation is for material income and R01 reference document is for purchase order. These fields can be located in the top left corner.
    2. Mostly standards are giving the basic, but you always have to copy it to your needs. Then enter your function module in WE42 transaction to the given process
    3. Of course you have to
    4. You have to separate them with an IF statement maybe. Don't forget to set statuses for the IDoc and for correct processing, use BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT statement also.
    5. Pass

  • POS Integration-POSDM, ERP, PI - using enterprise services-Connectivity Kit

    Hello,
below you find a link to the official Connectivity Kit for Integration Scenario: POS Integration.
The integration scenario POS Integration is based on SAP ERP and SAP NetWeaver BI /SAP POS Data Management using enterprise services.
You will find an implementation Guide as well as descriptions of the enterprise services used.

    Hi, Markus,
thank your for your input! very interesting!
I'm wondering which benefits this POS Integration over Enterprise Services has, comparing with the conventional IDoc transfer?

  • SAP System inconsistency for Inbound delivery / MIGO and a "sap note"

    Hello Friends ,
After following SAP instruction on how to remove the inconsistency between posting GR through MIGO (Inv. mang.) and the reflection of the goods movement status in the inbound delivery document - done that using sap note 570991
the problem is that the system start behaving in a weird way throwing unjustified Error messages for any suggested goods receipt using MIGO with reference to inbound
for example after creating an inbound delivery document and trying to post it via migo , an error will pop up
    - Inbound delivery storage location cannot be changed to here Message no. VLA316
the thing is i didn't even maintain any storage location entry up to that point and yet i cannot post any stock !!
    also another error  like
    - Inbound delivery batch cannot be changed to *** here
which doesn't make any sense because there is not batches in the inbound document !!
i think this behavior is coming from the "Document Flow Update for Stock Postings" inbound  indicator  at the shipping parameter at client level customization
i need help on  how to overcome this annoying SAP Bug/Problem specially i am in a post go live critical situation

    Hi,
The messages you mentioned were introduced to avoid inconsistency between inbound delivery and IM, through the note:  1050944 - GR for inbound delivery using inventory mgmt as of ECC 6.00
If the messages are issued incorrectly, then you may check for SAP notes (I couldnt find anything relevant) or raise an OSS ticket to SAP.

  • Inbound Delivery Using ASN in SRM

    Dear All,
We are implementing SRM to our Business, our SAP is running on 4.7C. We have done the BBP in which we got the following queries regarding Inbound delivery generation in SAP for PO.
-->>> We have activated the confirmation Key in Po, so with this we can able to send the Po's to Vendor portal.
--->>> Now after receiving all vendor has created ASN(Advance shipping Notification), once he created ASN in SAP automatically an inbound delivery should need to create.
Is there any BAPI/Function Module available in SAP 4.7C, in which system will Pull the required field of ASN to create GR.
I heard this can be done by using IDOC, but we want only through BAPI/FM.
Please let me know is there any way we can have BAPI/FM available in SAP or should we require to customize??
    Regards,
    Nagaraj S

    Dear Nagaraj
    Standard Process flow :
    1. PO created with confirmations and sent to Vendor
    2. Vendor sends ASN.
    3. Inbound dlivery will be created wrt ASN in SAP
    4. Goods receipt wrt inbound delivery in SAP
For creating the inbound delivery wrt ASN, you can use BBP_INB_DELIVERY_CREATE .
For creating the Goods recept , you can use BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE
    More info please refer :

    Hi
Consider that I dont have FTP installed on my computer. According to this blog
    /people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2006/08/01/along-came-a-file-adapter-mr-ftp-and-rest-of-the-gang
    I have configured.
In sender comm channel I have given Ipaddress of computer 1 (which has a file to be picked)
In Receiver Comm channel I have given IP address of computer 3 (in which file to be posted)
and computer 2 is the XI server
    Computer 1 has FTP installed
    1. XI server should have FTP installed or not ? IF yes is it FTP client  or FTP server   or Guild FTP (according to the blog is enough)
    2. Computer 3 should have FTP installed or not ?
Please help me I am really confused.
    Thanks

  • Change inbound delivery using /SPE/IDOC_INPUT_DESADV1

    Hello -
We are creating an inbound delivery using the idoc function module /SPE/IDOC_INPUT_DESADV1.  I have need to be able to change an existing delivery via idoc processing, so we are populating and mapping an E1EDL18 segment with the qualifier 'CHG'.  However, in /SPE/IDOC_INPUT_DESADV1, it does not appear to handle CHG.  I have debugged down into the code and in method PARSE_AND_HANDLE_IDOC_DELVRY03, when the segment is E1EDL18, there is a case statement that looks at the qualifier, and CHG is not dealt with.
Any ideas how to handle this?  Or is this a legitimate bug I should report to SAP?
    Thanks for any help!

Hard to say. Why not just report it? The worst they can do is say it's a consulting issue.

  • What are the business scenarios used in plastic industry

    Hi Experts,
Could you guys please tell me what are the business scenarios (in sap sd) i should use while implementing in plastic industry (as if someone already worked on implementation project at plastic industry).....
As per my knowledge i would use:
    MTS
    Batch management
    Third party etc....
but in addition to these (if anyone already worked on the implementation project in plastic industry...then what are the business scenario used for......please suggest.....)
If have any idea please suggest........ would be a great help.......
    Thank you in advance...........

it depends which part of the value chain you are working at e.g. your company is B2B, supplying ingredients to Plastic industry manufacturer or you sell to wholesellers.
Below are the processes you - may - do in Plastic industry -
    - Inter-company stock transfer
    - Subcontracting
    - Contracts
    - QM inspection during delivery process
If you require business scenario descriptions (in brief) for the above processes, then please convey.

  • SAP ERP == XI == SAP POS (Customer Data Maintenance)

    Dear Friends,
We are doing the scenario SAP ERP ==> XI ==> SAP POS. This is IDoc to File scenario. The file is picked from FTP site by receiver(where the Triversity server pick ascii files).
Here problem is after picking the file, data is not inserted, updated, deleted in the Customer Profile table of Triversity Store Manager. (We follow the Technical Reference Guide for creating files).
    Regards,
    Jagan.

    HI experts ,
After integration of SAP retail and SAP POS, we are receiving file from PI for e.g DEPTTXN.asc (below) ,
As according to DEPTTXN.ASC file format update type ,department, department group ,description should be of Decimal 2.0,decimal4.0, decimal 3.0 and string 20 respectively,
But we are receiving data in below mentioned  format ,because of that when we are posting this file to Xpress sever-> parm folder to view its data in Store manager we are not
able see all the details of DEPTTXN.asc ,only  price point details with the linked category and department are shown there. We are facing same difficulties with other two files also.
Do we have to do some  modification in PI for the naming of department and department group?
It will be great help ,if you can  guide us to solve this particular issue.

  • SAP ECC Interface w/ IDOC-XML using TCP/IP, HTTP, or FTP to 3rd-Party Syst.

I am trying to understand if the following interface options can occur (without the use of SAP PI or any other middleware):
Option 1A: Can I process an SAP ECC outbound IDoc in XML using TCP/IP to a non-SAP 3rd party system?  Can you please explain the reason for why I can or can NOT do this.  If possible, please provide supporting documentation on how-to do this?
Option 1B: Can I process an SAP ECC inbound XML-IDOC from a non-SAP calling system that used TCP/IP?  Can you please explain the reason for why I can or can NOT do this. If possible, please provide supporting documentation on how-to do this?
Option 2A: Can I process an SAP ECC outbound IDOC in XML using HTTP to a non-SAP 3rd-party system?  Can you please explain the reason for why I can or can NOT do this. If possible, please provide supporting documentation on how-to do this?
Option 2B: Can I process an SAP ECC inbound XML-IDOC from a non-SAP calling system that used HTTP?  Can you please explain the reason for why I can or can NOT do this. If possible, please provide supporting documentation on how-to do this?
Option 3A: Can I process an SAP ECC outbound IDOC in XML using FTP to a non-SAP 3rd-party system?  Can you please explain the reason for why I can or can NOT do this. If possible, please provide supporting documentation on how-to do this?

    Hello Kirk  ,
The answers for your question are:
Option 1A: Yes you can .you can use TCP/IP but you must have a middleware component for that such as BC/JCO .
Please see the link : [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/09/c88442a07b0e53e10000000a155106/frameset.htm]
Option 1B: See the link above.
Option 2A: You can use ABAP code :

    Option 2B: [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/90/4f3c2ec3c511d6b2b400508b6b8a93/frameset.htm]
    Option 3A: Only with ABAP code :[Reg: FTP Connection;
Option 3B: See the link of Option 3A.
