If you are displaying the report using ALV, you can create the fieldcatalog manually, so that only the required fields are displayed.
You can find more information about preparing fieldcatalog on the following link

    Hi All,
I have a requirement to hide the columns which are empty in sap query SQ01 alv list output.
Please let me know this functionality available in Query (SQ01) like normal reports

    Hi,
We just can't make changes in this case as this are all system generated programs.
WE have to write our own reports to make things flexible to match our requirements.
Things you are asking is not possible.

  • Hide a row or column for characteristic value # in Query Designer

    Hi gurus,
I would if we could hide a result row / column if one of the characteristic value is #. The requirement is actually to remove the meaningless row / column from the whole result set. For example, I have a char Material Group in the column. Since not every Material is assigned to a Material Group, I will get the following layout:
    Material_Group A
    Material_Group B
    Material_Group C
Is it possible to define in query designer so that the column with # will automatically not be displayed?
    Thanks,
    Meng

    Hi Meng,
I guess we have the same users..
But there is one thing that is going to make a non sense on the report: if you do not display the "#" for material group, then the total of your query by material group will not be the summation of what is displayed on the screen...and if the user explort the information in Excel (pretty sure they will do so), you will have some calls that your query does not balance....
Based on that assumption, tell the users to assign a material group to the materials, so that this unassigned column disappears. You could even give them a control report listing all the parts that do not have a material group
If this is a standard business rule not to have a material group for all parts, then, what you could do is to change the text for empty rows for Material group, then the "#" will disappear and wil be under the text description you defined.
But keep in mind that your data is made of materials which do not have a material group in their definition, noraml or not ?

  • Currency conversion in SAP Query

    Hi,
We need to develop a SAP query(SQ01) in which we have to pull two fields maintained in sales order (sales order net value & PO net value(ie.z field)).
These fields’ values may be maintained in different currencies.
So need to know how to convert the PO net currency value as of sales order net value in SAP query as a new column (or how to convert any currency to USD in SAP Query).
This will help user to get comparison in output.
    Please help.
    -- Amit

    Hi again
The point 2 is still not clear for me..
    1. Should I put in the source code (256 lines) of the function module here, or should I just put in a reference to the Function module like:
    FM convert_to_local_currency;
    2. Where should I put in the import variables you refer to?
    3. When I push "single test" of the Function module I get these import parameters:
    CLIENT                          210
    DATE
    FOREIGN_AMOUNT
    FOREIGN_CURRENCY
    LOCAL_CURRENCY
    RATE                            0
    TYPE_OF_RATE                    M
    READ_TCURR                      X
Is this the import parameters you are reffering to?

  • How to remove duplicates in SAP Query

    Dear Frns,
I created a simple SAP query with quickviewer by table join option.
    tables are MAST & STPO.
    Link is only STLNR.
I am getting a duplicate extra line with same data.
Can anyone suggest me how it happened.
Is there anyway to remove these duplicate lines.
    pl suggest

    Hi,
You can sort the internal table and then delete the duplicate entries.
    sort itab ascending by STLNR.
delete adjacent duplicates from itab comparing STLNR.

  • SAP Query SQ01 column limitation issue

    Hi
At SQ01, I have created a number of custom reports via SAP Query.
Its a great tool and all, but I am running into a problem where there is a 255 character limitation when I create a Statistics view (where it summarizes values by characters I choose).
In the SQ01 Query screen, this is controlled by the columns field under the heading list format  and if I list too many objects, I get a message stating report has exceeded 255 character limitation.
Is there any way I can modify this value, so I can exceed it (say 500?)?
For us, we use many query reports in our daily reporting so it would be worth modifying.
If anyone has any info on this, please advise (or feel free to PM me!)
    Regards
    Ken

    Naimesh,
    Thanks for your reply.
How can I accomplish this? And will it still show the data one the same screen?
    Regards
    Ken

  • SAP Query for difference of 2 currency fields

    Hello Experts,
I have created a SAP query in which I need to fetch data from only 1 custom table through "direct read of table" method.
I have also added an additionl field in the query output and the field name is "Difference" (difference between 2 currency fields).
Please help me out in writing the code for this additional field which gives the difference of 2.
Ex: there are 5 fields A, B, C, D and E to be displayed in output of SAP query. I have added additional field X. So please help me out to write the code which gives difference of A and B fields.
    Thanks,
    Tousif

    Hi,
By using t-code SQ02. Use option direct read from table. Then move forward. you have a code option, click on it.
Here you declare your data as same as your report.
On coding section, you get a option of events. use event and move you code forward as per your requirement.

  • Hide or Remove OCI Check Box column from Standard MDM Result Set iview

    Hi,
Can we hide or remove the OCI Check box column from the Standard MDM Result set ivew?
Though i have made OCI disabled, I dont want to display the check boxes along with the product list.
    Can you please help?
    Thanks and best regards,
    Arun prabhu S

    Hi Arun,
If you are talking about the very first check box, then that is not related to OCI. Use of check box is to anable multiple item selection which can be used adding the records in the workflow, for comparison etc.

  • Remove Currency Display in Entry-Ready Columns

    Hello,
I want to remove the currency out of entry-ready columns with mixed units (quantity and amount). For the display columns I used the NODIM operater as described here: Remove currency display, however this doesn't work for entry-ready columns. Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Norbert

    Hi Gordan,
Thanks for your reply, but it doesn't solve my problem. What I want is how to display the currency code in JE Layout. I am able to display the rate in JE Layout but unable to find the currency code field in layout.
I know how to use the Fixed Exchange rate in JE, please do let me know if you know how to pull out Currency Code in JE layout, thanks.

  • Need to add new column in SAP Query - Please guide me in this regard

    Dear All,
In SAP Query, I need to put a new coulmn of each record for the difference of Billing date and PGI date as a work days.
    eg: Billing Date = 02.05.2008
         PGI Date = 08.05.2008
Take a Variable i.e. Days = Billing Date - PGI Date that will display as 5 days by excluding Saturday and Sunday.
After doing calculation of these work days for each record, we need a to add a new coulmn in that record as field lable as "Work Days" and display.
Please Guide me in this regard
    Regards,
    Sateesh.

    Hi Rama,
In SQ01 when you are in the fields (first would be attributes, when you click next it takes you to field groups, and again when you click next if takes you to fields tab) check the following menu path
EDIT -> LOCAL FIELD -> CREATE
You can define the formula as per your requirement and populate the field.
    Hope this is helpful.
    Thanks,

  • How to change order of columns in SAP Query

    Hi,
I am working on SAP Query for first time using txn SQ01. Have some doubts on it.
->  If i want to change the order of the fields in the output in an existing sap query, i could not find any
way other than deselecting the fields and again selecting them in the order they want to be. Is there any
other way for this ? By the way, can we create an SAP query without an info set.
    Thanks in Advance.

  • SAP Query- Reporting on SOD

    Hello everyone,
I need some help in creating a report in SAP Query based on user's processing Vendor Invoices and also Vendor Payments?
I would like to have the following columns to report on:
USNAM u2013 User Name (from BKPF)
BLDAT u2013 Document Date (from BKPF)
BELNR u2013 Document Number (from BKPF)
BUKRS u2013 Company Code (from BKPF)
BLART u2013 Document Type (from BKPF)
LIFNR u2013 Vendor Number (from BSEG)
    NAME1 u2013 Vendor Name (from LFA1)
    WRBTR u2013 Amount (from BSEG)
Vendor Invoice- I would like to restrict to only document type fields that are KA,KR,RC,RE,RN and ZE
Vendor Payment- I would like to restrict to only document type fields that are ZV,ZS,ZP,ZH and KZ
    I have a few questions:
First is i am using a logical database (BRM as BSEG cannot be joined) to select my columns however i do not know how to pull the 'Vendor Name' from LFA1. I understand that this table is not in BRM but is there a way to add any extra tables to work along side the logical database?
Secondly, i have managed to report on all columns except the vendor name (from LFA1) and although i can restrict my output data based on document type fields, i need the report to only show the user's that have process vendor invoices & vendor payments only?
At the moment i have a list of restricted document type but cannot seem to jsut show only those users who have processed both in both processes. For example User A has processed a vendor invoice (which is shown) and the same user may have processed vendor payment (after searching through the long output list!)
I want all users who have doen one of the other process and only interested in those that have done both?
Any feedback is much appreciated and pelase let me know if i have not explained this problem properly (as i am a newbie in this area)
    Many thanks
    Amar

    Hi Pascal,
Since the IT2501 is a "Simulated Time Infotype" you cannot look at the data in it, but you can confirm the data from the ZL cluster and the data from the employee.  Since it is only this employee or a few employees, it is probably not the configuration of the time buckets for the IT2501, but you may want to make sure all time times are captured as you want.  Then look at the time entries for this individual or individuals.  Did they enter a time type that was not expected or configured?  Is all their time approved and passed through Time Evaluation?  Finally check the Master Data for the employee - is the Planned Working Time (IT0007) infotype correct or has it been recently changed?  Is he in a special Cost Center (IT0027) or Project that is captured differently for time purposes?
Since it just one or a few individuals, I would suspect the Master Data and some inconsistant entry that affects the time cummulation for the IT2501.
