SAP Success factor
Hi All,
Just to know, is it possible to start training on Success factor "compensation mastery" with doing "introduction to mastery" training and also if he/she dont have any background of SAP HR, though he/she is into other module in SAP only.
Hi,
There is no any training program for successfactor like SAP training. if your employer is a successfactor partner then you can go for the training.

How to create success factors csv directory path in sap ?
Dear Gurus,
I want to make a directory path for success factors csv exporting in sap. what should i do ? where can i start ? where can i make this directory path like "SFactors" , "E:\SFactors" ?
Best RegardsHi Kemal,
Is it working right now ? What should i do for RFC user ? Customer talks about rfc user and authorization to folder ? How can i associate with RFC dialog user ? Should i create rfc user ?
Yes you can now view the contents of the folder SFactors using your ID.
I can't comment much on the RFC users as I have no clue on your integration scenario. You may refer an example of integration using PI in the link below
SAP HCM and SuccessFactors BizX Integration Using SAP PI
If your scenario is as below
Create a CSV file from SAP and Successfactors can do FTP to the SAP server and pull the file.
Sol: You need to create a ftpuser on successfactors . Write a script in SAP server to connect to successfactor server using ftpuser. Copy the files from SAP server to Successfactor using ftp commands. No RFC user required here.
Hope this helps.

What is the role of Success factors in the current market
Hi Gurus,
I'm new to SAP domain. I just want to understand how Success factors can change the usability and other factors of traditional SAP R/3?
What are few of the points that we have to keep in mind when we are integrating our product with Success factors?Hi Surya
I've found this Information in SCN related to SF as Finny Babu explained it really well.
SAP has released a new adapter called the “SFSF Adapter” for SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (PI) . This adapter is now available as part of a release independent add-on “SAP NetWeaver Process Integration, connectivity add-on 1.0”.
The connectivity add-on runs on the SAP NetWeaver Process Integration Adapter Framework, based on the Java Connector Architecture (JCA). Accordingly, its capabilities are being used for enabling the common message delivery options (exactly-once, exactly-once-in-order), an automatic retry mechanism and information logging. The configuration of connectivity adapters, monitoring and operations is done in the same way as for other adapters of SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (PI). The connectivity add-on runs fully in the Java stack and supports all valid deployment options of SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (ABAP + Java, Java only).
This SAP NetWeaver Process Integration, connectivity add-on 1.0 is included in your SAP Process Integration license and you do not need any further license to use the adapter.

You can take up the SuccessFactors Training/Certification ONLY if your employer is a Partner/Customer with SuccessFactors.
You can take up the training/certification if your employer is willing to pay for it and it's a self paced training
SuccessFactors Training/Certification is not Provided in any of the SAP Partnered Training Institutes as of today.
Hope this helps!

IS Success factor a BOOM?
Hi Guys,
Just wanted to know your thoughts and feedback on SF.
I am planning to start a course in success factors, but few questions that I need help before taking a dip in the ocean.
1) I am SAP HR consultant with 4+ yrs exp in SAP Industry. If I do the transition from SAP HR to SF, how my experience is going to be counted going forward. I understand doing just SF course will not land me a job in SF. What are your thoughts?
2) After completion of the course successfully. What are the job prospects? Many companies haven't migrated to SF yet. My exp will be only trained in SF and no body hires you if you are just a fresher. Correct me if i am wrong.
Let me know your suggestions and ideas.Hi BP
First up.... It's actually SuccessFactors (sounds a bit pedantic but mispelling is on par with how mispronouncing SAP)
I've noticed SF has become quite popular. We are implementing it at my client right now. One thing I can see is the size of the implementation team is quite small.
For more information on SF and careers, there are some really good blogs in the HCM space. I've put this on the Career's wall as a Moderator pick as it summarises the situation quite nicely

How to get the Success Factors LMS to record the quiz score for an Adobe Captivate 7 module.
I have a few questions and one outstanding issue.
My Issue:
I can’t get the score to be recorded by the Success Factors LMS.
Question 1)
I notice that the quiz reporting section in Captivate 7’s Preferences menu has a “Data To Report” section.
However, for SCORM 2004 and Tin Can, there is no option to report Quiz Score like there is for SCORM 1.2 and AICC.
Is reporting the score impossible for those reporting standards?
Question 2)
My organization is using the Success Factors LMS and I’m trying to get the score to be recorded by the LMS.
I’ve set the Published Captivate module to report the Quiz Score as a percentage (Points is unavailable to me since there are more than 100 pts),
but the LMS is recording whether the module was Complete (passed) or incomplete (not passed or yet to be completed).
Is (are) there some parameter(s) on Captivate’s side that I need to be setting for Success Factors to correctly record the score?
- Maybe Captivate (in SCORM 1.2) should be reporting the Score as points and not percentage?
- Maybe I should be using AICC?
Is (are) there some parameter(s) on Success Factor’s side to interface correctly with Captivate?
I’ve checked the Adobe forums, but I don’t see any help there and
I’ve googled the issue to the point of exhaustion and frustration.
So, I would very much appreciate the help.
Thank you for your time.
Provided below is a screenshot of my Quiz Reporting settings:Last year I worked with a customer who has the SuccessFactors LMS and, after some issues and discussions, the SF folks suggested their LMS supports AICC better than SCORM.
That stunned me a bit...
SO, sure, barring anything else, it may not hurt to try AICC!
And I think SF is also limited in their SCORM 2004 support. If going with SCORM, definitely try to get SCORM 1.2 working first.
Your settings look good to me. Maybe can't hurt to try 'points' but I'm not so sure that would work.
So you're ONLY seeing 'Completed/Incomplete' not 'passed/failed' as you'd prefer?
You're not seeing a recorded percentage at all? -
Documentation, success factor? Time consume? Tools, methods to use?
Hello,
Some questions in my mind, Please share your experience and knowledge. This is not a very technical question, it's a discussion.
Experts, database team leaders, Consultants, managers, CTO, CEO can share their thoughts....
- How many of you believe in documentation?
- Is documentation a success factor or is it just a waste of time in some cases?
- How much time should a database team spend on documentation per work day?
- How to "invite" database team members to use, write, maintain the documentation; which "smart" methods can be used?
- How can I know the documentation done is up to date? Should I just "trust" in my team members OR which "smarts" methods can be used to verify it?
- Which methods, tools can be used of a good, complete documentation of the database libray, logical structure, procedures, jobs, backup / recovery, installation, migrations, etc ... ?
Best regards,Experts, database team leaders, Consultants, managers, CTO, CEO can share their thoughts....I am non of them...
- How many of you believe in documentation? 100% (Because its the number i.e. 100% which is representation of completeness)
- Is documentation a success factor or is it just a waste of time in some cases? It depends. It is waste of time only, if reader is either not having any approach to solve the problem or he/she is not doing practice as per instructions in docs.
- How much time should a database team spend on documentation per work day?Rather than opening facebook, chat room, playing games etc. (of course they are also meant for a mean), but one should think that i am an Oracle DBA; so my first task in free hour is to read docs.
- How to "invite" database team members to use, write, maintain the documentation; which "smart" methods can be used? Some sort of motivation in term of money and/or appraisals.
- How can I know the documentation done is up to date? Should I just "trust" in my team members OR which "smarts" methods can be used to verify it?It depends. First you can ask for proper documentation, check it and make necessary correction (if any required). As far as matter of concern of trust, yes you can but not blindly.
- Which methods, tools can be used of a good, complete documentation of the database libray, logical structure, procedures, jobs, backup / recovery, installation, migrations, etc ... ?As far as Oracle concern, i think there is no such great need to have documentation, because database dictionary is having all sort of metadata; but yes for DBA concern, you have to properly outlined the major in and outs of business, person, technical resources with higher administration that any DBA has to write procedure in this way, these are backup strategies, rules, Guideline for Installation, How to perform migration etc. If any DBA find fail to follow these "Working Manuals" then they might be punished by any mean.
I am not sure, how much all these are helpful, but i expressed my opinion/views.

Send Requisition once to Success Factors from ECC
Hi - we are implementing Success Factors requisitions with ECC initiating the process via HRP1107, but from then on, we don't want any changes to data in ECC to be sent over to Success Factors - all updates are to occur in SF itself.
Any idea how this is achieved? From what I can see within debugging, everytime RH_SFI_TRIGGER_JOB_REQUISITION runs, it seems to check for changes against already open records in HRP1107, I obviously don't want this to happen, unless the vacancy is filled that is when everything needs to be closed.
Any advice is appreciated.
cheers
Sean
ps: I thought I was onto a winner with BAdI implementation HRSFI_CH_PTRS, but this only handles change pointers to get onto the HRP1107 table in the first place (well that's what it seems like to me).I found that I could stop most fields going back over by not filling them (and deleting them if blank) in the Enhancement implementation of HRSFI_B_CHANGE_MAPRES_OUTBOUND, all except TITLE (which is mandatory).
SF only seems to overwrite fields that are passed to them, and the rest are retained. -

Hello Experts,
Looking forward to connect IdM 7.2 sp9 with Success Factor as Data Source System.
Since by default there's no connector available in this version, looking for information about setting up a new connector as to establish the connection.
Advise would be much appreciated.

YogeshHello Yogesh,
there is a connector delivered as standard from IdM relase 8.0 onwards. To date I have not see any connector for lower release but maybe somebody here will have tried ;-)

Success Factors: re-open a requisition from SAP
Hi - I'm having some trouble re-opening requisitions in SF from SAP. Integration is switched on.
So we've sent a requisition over to SF, completed it, and set the vacancy as filled in PD infotype 1007 - this closes the requisition in SF.
I would have thought that if we simply set the vacancy as open again in SAP (infotype 1007 again) for the same from/to dates that this would automatically re-open the form - however, it is creating a brand new requisition in SF every time.
Is this normal behaviour, or am I doing something wrong?
As integration is turned on, the "Reopen Requisition" button in PPOME is greyed out for the filled vacancy..
Thanks in advance.

CUP Provisions user to SAP successfully but gives "Auto-Provisioning" error
Hi All,
I'm getting an "auto-provisioning" error in CUP when a "Change Account" workflow is approved. The strange thing is, CUP does successfully provision the change to the SAP backend. Yet, the "New Account" provisions successfully without the error.
Here is an example of the audit trail log from Change Account:

Any ideas or suggestions?
Current software level AC5.3 SP12.
-DylanHello Varun,
Thanks for the thought on this. We don't use User Defaults for Change Account, but do for New Account. You question prompted me to do more testing with very interesting results.
Results
New Account with User Defaults configured:
User provisioned successfully, no Auto-Provision error, Defaults NOT provisioned.
New Account without User Defaults configured:
User provisioned successfully, no Auto-Provision error.
Change Account with User Defaults configured:
User provisioned successfully, no Auto-Provision error, Defaults NOT provisioned.
Change Account without User Defaults configured:
User provisioned successfully, Auto-Provision ERROR, Defaults NOT provisioned.
In both New and Change Account, the configured User Defaults are NOT provisioned even though the user is provisioned. AC5.3 is on SP12, the RTA is VIRSANH SP12 and VIRSAHR SP10.
For the Change Account, the user is always provisioned regardless of User Defaults; however, when no User Default is configured, the Auto-Provisioning error occurs. The User Defaults NOT provisioning is a real problem, the CUP error message, I can work around for now.
What about on your side? Am I the only guy using SP12 here? -
