All mentioned options are possible to access SAP Business One, like:
Static IP address for SAP B1 server
Citrix (application or remote desktop)
VPN (you can even setup a simple PPTP, L2TP or OpenVPN). But please be aware that VPN is not recommended by SAP way of connection to ERP systems
There is the fourth nice alternative to avoid VPN and RDP in case you can't use both of them (because of, for instance, local network security settings that blocks you to setup a connection). You can setup HTML Clientless RDP connection at your main server of the remote network (it is even not necessary your SAP B1 server, you should do it on the main machine that has static IP):

In this case you will get the RDP connection to your client or server machine with SAP B1 from any kind of network and any kind of device with no additional client setup. It is even work from the mobile phone, but, of course, the screen it too small

I have a requirement in which it is needed to open up an SAP transaction screen from an internet application(salesforce.com).I have written a batch file which opens up the SAP transaction XD03 screen.This batch file can be called from a java program.But since our tool is an internet application,the java code has to be converted to a web service.
Is there any other approach to open SAP screen from internet applications?

Hi,
This training includes the practicals with various scenarios like,
File to File, Idoc to file, RFC to SOAP and many more. BPM scenarios and many complicated mappings etc.
Atleast you will get the practicals with mostly of all the adapters.
But it again depends how will you explore yourself in it. this training will show you the way to achive the knowledge of it. It's your responsiblity to explore your self. If you can do this..then sky will be the limit...

Is SAP Certication only allowed for ppl taken training from selected center

Just wanted to know that : If someone who has taken SAP training from any local institute is elligible for SAP certification?
Is there any prerequisite for Certification , which states that u should be trained from some specific institues. If yes, which are those institutes in India.

Internet Based Client Updates

Hi,
We have SCCM 2012 R2 installed, with IBCM enabled. These clients are able to switch between intranet and internet fine.
Updates work internally and externally fine too. We only have 1 SUP configured for intranet access only, and the Internet facing server is there as a DP and MP for clients to check in and report in etc. This enables us to see if any machines have viruses
and what software they have installed etc
Now, the problem...
Our mobile workforce all use aircards with a data limit. We need to be able to report on these, and for them to get updates, but only from our DPs, NOT from windows updates, which is what happens by default when a client switches to internet based.
This is an extract from a technet article:
New in System Center 2012 Configuration Manager, when you have a software update point that is configured to accept connections from the Internet, Configuration Manager Internet-based clients on the Internet always scan against this software update point,
to determine which software updates are required. However, when these clients are on the Internet, they first try to download the software updates from Microsoft Update, rather than from an Internet-based distribution point. Only if this fails, will they then
try to download the required software updates from an Internet-based distribution point. Clients that are not configured for Internet-based client management never try to download the software updates from Microsoft Update, but always use Configuration Manager
distribution points.
We need to able to turn this off, so they do not get updates from windows updates and consume all their data allowance.
On our SCCM 2007 server, we simply added a SUP internally, an internet facing DP/MP and when they were on the intranet they got updates and when they were on the internet they did not as we did not distribute the packages to that DP, but got them the next
time they were at one of our sites...
We need to replicate this functionality.
Can you advise how to do this in SCCM 2012?

Are these system Win 8.1? If so, then your scenario actually shouldn't be an issue because Win 8.1 can detect metered connections and ConfigMgr client settings can be set so that they do not use metered data connections.

SUP and Internet based client management

Can an internet based client access the software update point via http, or is HTTPS required? For some reason my internet based client is attempting to connect via HTTPS for which it is not configured. How would I force it to use Http?

How do i set up Mail to receive from an internet account?

Hi.
I wonder if anyone can tell me how to set up Mail so I can check my messages from an internet based e-mail? I'm using Wanadoo and would like to able to receive messages straight to Mail rather than have to check them 'online'. Hope someone can help, thanks in advance.

I checked Wanadoo's website and it appears you can create your Wanadoo account in Mail and with other email clients as a POP type account.
Wanadoo provides instructions for doing so using Windows Outlook Express but the required account settings are the same to create the account with the Mail.app such as:
At the Mail.app menu bar, go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts. Select the + sign at the bottom of the accounts window to add a new email account selecting POP as the account type.
Account Description: Whatever you prefer such as Wanadoo.
Email Address Field: Enter your Wanadoo email address.
Full Name: Whatever you prefer which will be shown next to your email address when a message is received.
User Name: This should include everything after the '@' symbol for your Wanadoo email address. Note: If you use their Broadband service, do not include '@fs' at the end of your Username for email.
Password: Your Wanadoo account password.
Incoming Mail Server: pop.wanadoo.co.uk
Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.wanadoo.co.uk
This should be all you need.
If your email address includes Freeserve instead of xxxxxx.wanadoo.co.uk, the incoming and outgoing mail servers are different.

please first understand the difference between a subject (your header) and its body line, please never write so long subject matter.
Now coming to your queries , what you thinks being at Australia or US is free of Cost. The first thing is that i don't understand your mission for taking Certifications, Are you a working proffesional because for more than 2 yrs. of working experience, you don't need any training , you can take direct examinations.
And if you are not a working professional, i don't thing taking any certification will serve any purpose in your job hunt, although it will enrich your Resume only, you will nothing get out of this from just taking a vertification
So, please tell us that you are a fresher or having real time working exposure in SAP SD module, then any one will guide you well.

Nope. There is no setting required in SAP. If you are able to telent with your Public IP with message server port. You would be able to login without Router string.

Internet based quotation

Dear All
In MM after floating RFQ using ME41 user have to enter the quotation details manually using T code me47.
The quotation details are available to the user either in hard copy, email or phone from the vendor.
Can it be possible to design a internet based solution in SAP which provide vendor a platform to enter the quotation details which are automatically trasfered/ fetch in R/3 .
Please share some example with details if it has been implemented.

we want to collect the centralized inforamtion from remote server into centralized oracle database.
1.exporting the centralized data at remote server and

Queries regarding Internet Based Client Management (IBCM) 2012 R2

I am trying to work with IBCM, but I have few queries for which I am not able to get any proper Information from Internet. I would be really Thankful if you all can help with your advice.
1) I will need to publish host record Internet FQDN of the Site system server, which will point to Public IP on Public DNS.
- So If I NAT the public IP to Local SCCM server IP on firewall, will that work, or I will have to give a different Private IP?
2) Let say I have Few workgroup machine which will be on Internet and they wont even come to office network, so in this scenario, how should I proceed.
a. Will I be able to get Remote session of the user?
b. Can I install SCCM client manually over the internet? if yes then what all information I will need to provide while client installation.
c. If I use Public wild card certificate on the server, do I need to purchase Client certificate as well?
d. If I use Internal CA certificate on the server, then I will have to install Client certificate manually on all the work group machine, I am right? can Public Certificate act as an alternative?
e. Any other specific Port apart from 443 that need to open on firewall?
3) Is it necessary to put the internet facing Site system server in DMZ or it is OK to use the same Site System server for Intranet and internet.
4) Currently I have a Site System fully functional, and set to HTTP & HTTPS communication setting, For IBCM I will be moving MP and DP from HTTP to HTTPS, I want to know will there be any issue, or any other aspect that I need to take care before performing
these steps.
5) Currently My OS deployment, App Deployement & Software Update is working perfectly, Moving MP and DP to Https, will that effect any of the current functionality, please advise.

1. Yes, the device performing the NAT will forward the traffic to the private IP of the site system. That's the whole point of NAT assuming you've configured it correctly and allowed the traffic to pass.
2a. No, remote Control does not work for Internet based clients.
2b. What are your expectations and what does "manually over the Internet mean"? If you are talking about client push, then technically, yes its possible, although in reality it won't work because almost everything connected on the Internet is behind
its own NAT and firewalls that won't allow the traffic to reach the destination. Additionally, if these clients are to be Internet only (which workgroup machine must be), then they must be installed with the CCMALWAYSINF property set to true which is only
done when manually installing the client on the system by directly initiating ccmsetup.
2c. The certs on the clients have nothing to do with cert on the servers. All clients connecting via IBCM require their own, unique client auth cert. If you plan on purchasing these, it will get real expensive, real quick and of course remember that this
is a recurring cost.
2d. How else would you install any certificate? They can't magically appear on the systems particularly since they are workgroup systems.
2e. 8531 for WSUS and 10123 for client notification.
3. Using the same internal site system is technically fine, but I doubt your security folks would like that idea.
4. Site Systems cannot be set to both HTTPS and HTTP. They can only be set to one or the other. Your site can accept both, but the site systems cannot. If you convert your existing/only MP and DP to HTTPS, then *all* of your clients will need their own unique
client auth certs.
5. Only if you don't configure things properly.

On trying to upload to a remote server I am having trouble with the destination setting (C:/upload_test) in the example, please could you point me in the right direction for the an example of this setting for a remote file transfer
Also do I have to construct a connection file to activate a Ftp file transfer?

That's irrelevant. DW is just the tool you are using to build your site. The site runs on your hosting accounts servers. This includes the php scripts you are working with.

The exercise you are dealing with is using http file transfer. This has nothing to do with FTP. You do not need FTP for this, other than using it to move your source code from your local client to your server.
