SAP workflow strange issue Rule agent

Dear all,
This happens once in 40 document.I have debugged the rule and agent coming into actor_tab for the error wf.I have kept the screen shot before the user decision they kept the wait step and also the start event binding.Please let me know your views.

Yes, that is probably your problem. If it's a similar data type it wouldn't matter. But WFSYST-INITIATOR is an HR structured type and has the object type prefixed (e.g. US=User), thus "USBOND007", whereas BNAME is just a username "BOND007".
This would still technically work if your code strips the "US" object type component, but BNAME will be too short and cut off long IDs as in "USBOND00". This would explain why it only occasionally fails.

I'm following the instructions and pretty sure it's been followed exactly on each step but am hitting the same issue - see 'Unit 10 - third step'.
The log is reporting two errors
Work item 000000014093: Object FLOWITEM method EXECUTE cannot be executed
and
Error when processing node '0000000039' (ParForEach index 000000)
You reject the notification and then the work flow errors. Is the tutorial missing out a step or two or am I missing something?
Can anyone help?

After a bit of trial and error, it seems creating the decision task is a necessary step, though not explicitly stated.

Responsibility rules : Agent determination only works after restarting the WF

Hi Experts,
We are facing a very strange issue related to agent determination in one of our custom workflow:
For agent determination we are using a responsibility rule with two parameters "Company code" and "Plant".
The responsibility rule works well and returns the agents for all the company code.
Recently I have added few company codes to this responsibility rule in the same way we used to maintain and simulate it . It returns the correct agent for newly added company codes but at run time the agent determination is getting failed and the WF goes into an error because of it. However when i restart the WF via SWPR it works well and the agent determination works well either.
This is only happening for newly added company codes the old ones agent determination work well at the run-time.
Pls suggest what could cause this problem. If there is a problem in responsibility rule then why it works after restarting from SWPR.

Yes I could replicate this issue in test system and it works fine there.
2. Is this a true responsibility rule or does e.g. a function module get called?
We have a responsibility where several responsibilities have been added with two parameters "company codes" and "plant". Every responsibility has a POSITION assigned into it and this position contains the related users.
This responsibility rule is getting called in one other rule with FM. Here in this another rule we are calling the responsibility rule by using the standard FM RH_GET_ACTORS to fill the ACTOR_TAB.
I have tried to simulate both the rules and it returned correct agents but failing at run time.

Hi,
Make sure that you have configured properly in transaction OMGS.
If it is done, then we can not do much about it.
I faced the similar issue and i had to convince the user that it is a porblem.
PO release workflow has some problems.

Validation on Post Parked Document via SAP Workflow (SAP Business Workplce)

Hi,
I have create validation rules, and I have excluded t-code type FBV0, FBV1 and FBV2 by following SAP Notes 158739 in that validation prerequisites, so when user post parked document using t-code FBV0 the validation is not carried out and it's work perfectly.
But when user try to post parked document using SAP workflow, the validation was carried out hence, user can't post the parked document. Does anyone now how to resolve this? Appreciate your advise to solve this issue. Thanks.

SAP Gui 730 issue with crobu theme

Hello Frineds, Our developer team is facing some strange issue. They are able using corbu theme in SAP GUI 720. but after the new SAP GUI 730 implementaion, they are not able to use this theme. Also, to help you further can you drill down to some more relevant information ?
As far as one can understand, it's a rendering problem with SAP GUI 730.
This can also be compatibility issue with your kernel and application.
I would suggested you to check all above options.

Strange issue with external monitor, only working when external speakers plugged in (using Thunderbolt to VGA adaptor)

Hey – I am having a very strange issue with my external monitor; where it only works if my external speakers are plugged in and connected.
I am using a late 2011 Macbook pro, running Mavericks 10.9.4, along with an MBox 2 (USB Audio Interface), and two powered speakers (KRK Rokit 5). This setup has had no issues. I have just acquired an external monitor (Benq T2200HD), which I am using with a thunderbolt to VGA adaptor (a cheap Chinese knockoff adaptor).
To start - I plugged the monitor in with the thunderbolt adaptor, and it powers up and works fine. However, there is a nasty buzz coming from the speakers. I did some research and it looks like a simple ground loop issue. I did a bit of troubleshooting, and this is where things get weird.
What I found is - If I unplug the MBox, the monitor loses signal from the computer (displaying ‘No Signal Detected!’). Further, if I keep the MBox plugged in, however unplug both the cables from the MBox to the speakers, the monitor loses signal. It doesn’t matter if the speakers are turned off, however they need to be plugged in (or the monitor loses signal). Weirder still, I can unplug the MBox, however the monitor will work if I plug in the speakers through my macs headphone jack.
Simply put, the monitor only works if there is a direct connection between the computer, the speakers, and the power source. What is going on here? Is the monitor grounding through the computer port, to the speakers (I don’t know how this works, is this possible?). Could it somehow be the cheap VGA adaptor I am using?
Some other information:
- Everything is plugged into the same multi-box for power. I have tried plugging things into separate sources, and the result is the same.
- If I unplug the thunderbolt adaptor, then the speaker noise disappears straight away.
- The ground noise doesn’t appear in my headphones, which are plugged into the MBox.
Any information would be great – am I missing something here, or is this genuinely weird?

Well, I went back into Best Buy to test on 3 other laptops (2 Asus, and their floor model for this Sony). It seems to be doing the same problem so at least I was able to rule out broken hardware issue on my particular laptop.
Here's what I did to test:
Since I couldn't really install Adobe Premiere on their machines, I used the DVIO software (http://www.carr-engineering.com/dvio.htm) and a 5 min clip I captured. I transferred onto their machines, hooked up my Sony D8, and attempted to play the video. It would play for 15 seconds and then stop and jitter with a loud noise (like it does on my laptop). I even tried changing each machine's firewire driver to the legacy one and same results. I pulled a brand new 4 pin to 4 pin firewire cable off their shelf and still the same problem.
I think I've nailed it down to Win7x64 bit Home Edition not playing nice with Firewire driver. Very annoying. I can't find any concrete evidence of this from other users on any of the forums that have my particular problem, but from my own testing, it's all I can conclude.
I have 2 other things I can try:
1. Opening the laptop and looking at the firewire to maybe find appropriate driver (ugh, I don't want to have to open this thing up).
2. Upgrading to Win7x64bit Pro and possibly testing with XP on the new MS Virtual PC (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/). I can't do it with my Home edition apparantly.
Who needs to view video on an external TV anyways....sheeesh...(scarcasm).

No mail is sent from SAP Workflow

We are sending mail from SAP Workflow to Lotus notes email. We have made the correct configuration in su01d for users whom we are sending by mentioning email address and communication method as email. We have also checked that program RSCONN01 is running periodically. We checked the SCOT transaction and no entries has been registered from SAP Workflow. we have defined SMTP node as required but still nothing happens.
I have also tried to send mail from SBWP but no entries is registered. Can you tell me what is the problem. I think it might be the issue between linkage between SAP and mail server. Can anyone tell me what needs to be checked here. I have done config for SICF Tcode also.

Are you still not able to send mail from SBWP? You need to fix this problem first, then you can start worrying about the workflow mail-sending capability.The user which sends e-mail needs to have an e-mail address defined in the user record.
Try defining an e-mail address for your own user and send an e-mail from SBWP. This should show up in SCOT, either as waiting in the queue, or (if you have bad luck with your timing) as sent e-mail. If the e-mail doesn't even show up in SCOT, ask Basis to help you figure out what is wrong.

Exception when running CO11N by BDC in SAP Workflow

Hi all,
We have designed a SAP workflow and all is OK.
But in a step of this workflow, we have run CO11N with BDC and we got a RAISE_EXCEPTION (message type: A, message ID: 00, message number: 342, message text: Runtime error & has occurred). So we can not successfully run CO11N.
We have tested this BDC (by running this BDC in a ABAP program) and the result of BDC is all OK.
If anyone know this problem, could you please help us?
How can we correct this EXCEPTION?

Strange Issue with Login into SDN

Hi,
I am facing a strange issue. If I click on the blog link [Blogs|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs] without login in to SDN, I am able to see the blog page. But once I login to SDN and click on the same link the blog page is not displayed (even though the top header and the left side bars are displayed correctly).
Am I the only one facing this. Could this be some setting with my browser? I am using IE6.

I sometimes get this with IE6 - apparently the most popular browser in the corporate world. I find that completely closing IE6 and then restarting - then login and then go to the blogs will resolve the problem. As I understand it, IE6 is probably the worst version of the software that exists - it improves after that. But at home I use firefox.

Strange issue with VPN

Hello, I have a strange issue with a VPN we have on our ASA 5520. We have 2 subnets my side of the VPN that can get to 27 subnets on the other side of the VPN. However the last remote subnet which I will call 28 I find only 1 of my 2 subnets can get too. When I reset the tunnel I find that my subnet cannot bring the IPSec tunnel up but the othe side of the tunnel can. When I view my VPN tunnel Rx always has a value but Tx is always zero, which suggests the traffic isnt even getting there, but this subnet is all the same rules as the other subnets that work. Any debug commands or tracing you can suggest? I've had others look at the issue and the cant see an issue. Thanks

Looks like you have a OD server setup for user authentication so you need to run this
vpnaddkeyagentuser /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1
that will add the correct record to OD and it will authenticate.

CVC creation - Strange issue with Master data table of 9AMATNR

Hi Experts,
We have encountered a strange issue with Master data table (/BI0/9APMATNR) of info object 9AMATNR.
We have a BADI implemented for checking the valid Characteristic before creation of the CVC using transaction /SAPAPO/MC62. This BADI puts a select on master data tab of material /BI0/9APMATNR and returns no value. But the material actually exists in the table (checked through SE16).
Now we go inside the info object 9AMATNR and go to the Master data Tab. There we go inside the master table
/BI0/9APMATNR and activate that. After activating the table it is read by the select statement inside BADI (Strange) and allows the CVC to be created.
Ideally it should not allow us to activate the SAP standard table /BI0/9APMATNR. I observed that in technical settings of this table it has single record buffering as switched on. (But as per my knowledge buffer gets refreshed every 2 to 4 mins and not in 2 days or something).

Try to use a WAIT statment with 5 seconds before your select statment.

Offline SAP Workflow Approvals

Hi,
We're looking into implement the capability to allow users to approval SAP workflow via outlook email without having to login to SAP client. Our users do not want to have SAP client installed on their desktop at all.
So far, I found off-the-shelf software DESKTOPWORKPLACE and DUET (Microsft & SAP joint product). Does anyone know of other released comparable products out there available?

Hi Jennifer,
We can use RSWUWFML or RSWUWFML2 programs to set in background to send an email to external address from SAP Inbox open work items. For ex. if there is an Approval/Reject workitem is there, an email will be sent to the responsible agents via email. A hyperlink will be provided in email using which the users can reply back to the SAP system without even logging to SAP system.
SAP will process the incoming email and perform the action on the workitem. I worked on such feature in EBP 3.5 standard workflows.
