SAP XI: File2IDoc Scenario

Hi all,
I am doing File to Idoc scenario using XI.In SLD i have defined two business systems(one for file system as sender and other for R/3 system as receiver)in SLD.
For sender system i have given some logical system name and for receiver business system i have given logical system name which i have defined in R/3 system.
Design and configure phase are working properly as i have tested.
but in message monitoring i am getting errors for following cases:
1) when logical system for sender and receiver system defined in SLD are same, error while monitoring is "Message has error status at outbound side" is coming.
2) when logical system for sender and receiver business system are different(for receiver i have defined logical system same as defined in R/3 and for sender it is some logical name which is not related to R/3) than IDoc is sent successfully but at R/3, in transaction BD87, error "EDI partner profile not available" is coming. and it is coming for logical system of "sender" which i think is nowhere relevant to R/3.
Can someone tell me what i should do to complete the scenario? It would be helpful...

No. A business system can be associated with one and only one client of a technical system.

The Logical system name of the Receiver will be the logical system name of your R3 system. When the Idoc reaches the target system , it will validate the Receiver Logical system and then search for the Corresponding ibound entry for the Idoc with the sender partner name ( sender logical system )

Iam new to XI. I started with this FILE2IDOC scenario.So i configured 1 third party & 1 Abap system in

You need to do the following settings in the XI and 3rd party system side.
3rd Party Side:
1. Creating Logical names for Sender and Receiver systems
2. Creating an RFC Destination that will point to the XI system
3. Creating a port
4. Distribting the Model
5. Creating Partner Profile
XI Side:
1 . Creating RFC Destination that will point to the 3rd party system.
2. Creating Port
3. Importing IDoc Metadata

In the example mentioned in the article, sender system is an ERP system. The same setting you will need to do in your sender system.

While doing an File -> XI -> IDoc scenario, The Points to noted are:
1. You dont need a DT, MT or a message interface for the IDOC as it itself acts as the Message Interface.
2. You import the IDOC and use the same in your mapping.
3. In this configuration note that you will need a sender agreement for the file.
4. In this configuration note that you will also need a receiver agreement for the IDOC.

Webservice (oracle erp applications) to SAP PI to SAP R/3 scenario.

Hi All,
I have to make webservice (oracle erp applications) to SAP PI to SAP R/3 scenario.
1. If I make Outbound Interface with 2 fields in SAP PI. Publish its Webservice in Service Registry and then
    send its WSDL URL to oracle erp applications system team.
Question --oracle erp team is asking me how they will call my webservice with 2 parameters so that JDBC Table which has 2
                  fields can be passed to my webservice and its parameters.
2. If I use JDBC sender adapter scenario --     Please let me know if am doing the things fine
    a. Oracle erp System driver to install at SAP PI system
    b. Connection, host name etc. information will be provided by ERP team that I will use in JDBC sender adapter

Docnum of generated Idoc in File2Idoc scenario

Hi folks,
I have a file2Idoc scenario and I would like to see in PI the docnum of the Idoc generated in the target backend system.
In sxmb_moni I ve found an IdocOutbound entry in the soap header but that docnum does not exist in the target system (the Idoc is there but with a different docnum). Actually I dont know what docnum it is as I couldnt find it in the pi system as well.
Its easy to identify the Idoc by timestamp in our dev system however it is not an option in the prod system where we have 10000 msg an hour
So how can I find out in PI which Idoc has been created in the target system?

Problem in file2IDOC scenario

Dear all,
I am using File adapter on the receiver side and IDOC adapter on the sender side.
I am using delete option for processing mode.
The file is getting deleted in the source directory but i don't find the IDOC at all in the IDX5 (XI).
I have even verified WE05 but i didn't find any inbound iDOC.
I have checked the runtime workbench.
Both the communication channels are error free.
In such scenarios how can i find why the IDOC in not pushed to SAP.
How to trace the iDOC?

02 - Error passing data to port
04 - Error within control information on EDI subsystem
05 - Error during translation
25 - Processing despite syntax errors (outbound)
29 - Error in ALE service
32 - Resubmit edited intermediate document (DO NOT USE)
Syntax Error Messages:
26 - Error during syntax check of IDoc (outbound)Inbound ALE Status Codes
IDoc Processed Successfully:
50 - IDoc added
53 - Successful posting
IDoc ready for processing:
64 - IDoc ready to be passed to application. The IDoc will be passed to the application by program RBDAPP01.
Errors in IDoc Processing:
51 - Error - application document not posted
56 - IDoc with errors added (You should never see this error code)
60 - Error during syntax check of IDoc (inbound)
61 - Processing despite syntax error (inbound)
63 - Error passing IDoc to application
65 - Error in ALE service - indicates partner profiles are incorrect
69 - IDoc was edited
Testing:
Log in to Adaptor Monitor and check for the file adaptor. The status of the adaptor should be green and working.
Check the ftp connection, it should connect to destination folder without any error.
Log in to sender system, go to transaction WE19 (test tool to generate IDoc), generate Idoc of the required message type.
Log in to Xi system and execute transaction SXMB_MONI and check for the XML messages. Use your source and destination system to filter messages, it should have chequered flag.
Check the destination directory, it should have file with the name specified along with the time stamp. Check the file, it should have data for all segments.

Webservice creation for SAP XI/PI Scenarios

Hi,
How can I develop A simple Webservice for any scenario, for example, if am doing File to file copy scenario,So I want to develop a Webservice for the same scenario,
I want to develop webservices for the entire Scenario, for this I am Using Microsoft Visual Studio.
I Shall Create a Form/Page for UI to select the source file, and when I trigger the Copy button, the service should execute the backend SAP XI Scenario and the file should get copied.
How should i proceed to develop the Webservice?

Do you mean to say that you can't change the existing FILE-PI-FILE scenario to Webservice-PI-FILE scenario on PI box?
If yes, then you just need to create a UI to copy the file in the source file folder as specified in FILE adapter settings and set the FILE adapter poll interval. It will keep polling the file source file directory and pick the file from there.
Am I missing something here?
And also can you tell me what do you mean when you say "service"? You want it to be invoked following some user action? I guess it would be difficult to directly trigger the PI excecution when you have file adapter at both the end.

SAP-XI-Webservice scenario

Hi,
I have following scenario: SAP triggers a proxy to XI which calls a webservice. Right now proxy from SAP reaches XI, however i get following error when trying to consume the web service on third party server : com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: Connection closed by remote host.
This is a secure webservice for which we have done neccessary configuration on XI side. Not sure if this error is because of something missing in the configuration or something else.
The target url in SOAP adapter which points to the wsdl is viewable in browser.
Please advise.

If the MSS (manager Self Service) packages are deployed in your portal, you will be able to use the PCR (Personnel change Request) Forms. You can submit the forms and the approvals can be prorperly routed using the Worlkflow.
There are a list of standard PCR forms provided by SAP. Please do look into them for a demo.
At the R/3 end, you will get the details of these PCR forms (ISR - Internal Service Requests), using the transaction - QISRSCENARIO.

SAP - XI - File Scenario

Hi Friends,
This is my first message in this group. Now i am in developing the XI interface between SAP R/3 & File System.
This is regarding the transfer of Vendor master data from SAP R/3 to a file system as xml file.
The requirement is:
I need to fetch the vendor master data from SAP R/3 and some data from SAP APO system from LOCIO table. The link between SAP R/3 Vendor data and SAP APO LOCIO data is LIFNR -> LOCNO. By taking the data from these two systems i need to send the data as xml file to the file system.
Please give me the approch for this requirement.

New to SAP XI BPM scenario File -- RFC -- File

My Scenario is : the input parameter for the RFC is sent through a file and the response from the RFC comes into XI which is then written into a file.

Well in short I would like to say is
A Conatiner is like a table whose structre is having two fields namely ELEMENT and VALUE so it is nearly similar to decalring variables in the general programming , but here in the workflow terms we call them as Container elements. and Conatiner is a place where all the defined variables are stored with Name/Value pair.
Now coming to the issue , the file which is imported from XI make sure that it has the structure as Name//Type/Value
Count the number of lines and create the conatiner dynamically by using the class CL_SWF_CNT_CONTAINER from the ABAP program it has lots of methods check it .

XI - SAP R3 - XI Scenario

I have a scenario
JMS 1 -> XI (BPM 1) -> SAP R3 -> XI (BPM 2) -> JMS 2 (all interfaces are synchronous)
I found when BPM 2 is triggered, it doesn't work until timeout (PL_TIMEOUT). But if I only run SAP R3 -> XI (BPM 2) -> JMS 2, then it's ok.
The connection of RFC is 5, and I also test 2 paralle SAP R3 -> XI (BPM 2) -> JMS 2, it's ok too.
Is there any suggestion for me? I have no idea how to find the reason.

File2IDoc Scenario-Unable to convert the sender service to ALE logical sys

I've created a simple file to idoc scenario. my fileSender was defined as sub-element of "Business Component". when i tried to test i got the err:
"Unable to convert the sender service SandBox_File2IDOC to an ALE logical system"
in order to workaround the issue i had to re-create the fileSender as sub-element of pre-defined business system.
as far as i understand, idoc sender should be part of (i.e., sub-element) of business system. - my first Q: "am i right?
second Q: in case this is the correct way to solve the issue, should i define (as part of sld definitions) a new dummy business system?

A very common problem and a standard solution:
Make sure you have entered the logical system in ID :business system --> Service --> Adapter specific identifiers.
