SAPGOF - OTF documentation of format
Hi
Can you help me where to find a complete documentation of the SAPGOF - OTF format. We are going to send the SAPGOF - OTF file (generated with Smartforms) to another computer(mvs) and here a conversion to AFPDS will take place. So we need a description of the source OTF format.
Kind regards
Steen
The SAPGOF manual defines OTF record formats as well:
Generic Output Format: SAPGOF,

Converting the script and smartforms to OTF and RDI format.
How to convert the script and smartforms to OTF and RDI format. Please suggest all possible ways.
Please don't cross-post or duplicate-post.
It increases the chances that both threads are deleted faster than what it increases the chances of getting "double-good" answers...

Documented InDesign File Format
I am consulting for a large publisher who does not use InDesign at all. Their fundamental architectural rules require that they be able to repurpose content. That means being able to read the underlying file formats. For example, they save all their word documents in Word's XML export format so that their applications can read them and use the data for multiple purposes.
Is there any documented export format for Indesign that retains all the formatting information of the document?No need to be an InDesign developer.
Just download the Adobe InDesign CS5 IDML Language Specification, which is linked from http://www.adobe.com/devnet/indesign/documentation.html. -

Documentation source!!
Hi all,
Is there any source, where I can get Oracle 8.1.7 complete documentation (HTML Format) for download?
Thanks
RajuOracle documentation is only viewable on OTN; the entire documentation set is not available for download. However, you can buy product documentation at Oracle Store (only available in certain countries). Please see http://otn.oracle.com/software/store/discount.html for information on the 20% OTN discount on Oracle Store documentation, and then select the "Documentation" tab on Oracle Store.

Reverse Engineering : Getting Layout from SamrtForm OTF.
Hi All,
I need to get the layout and content in a particular Window, Template, Table,..... from the OTF generated from SamrtForm Output.
Well, the requirement seems to be a bit meaningless, but why do I need it ?
I need it since I wanted to convert my SmartForm O/P to .XLS file but SAP did not allowed me, as it allows for PDF.
So, I got the OTF details and again converted the OTF to meaningful texts, so now I am getting my XLS file.
But, my problem is that the XLS file is not well aligned. Even thou I get all the data, as is available in the SmartForm O/P but they are very poorly alligned.
So, I just thought of raising this questin here.
I am using IXML to create my XLS file.
May be some idea, how to identify what all data is present in a particular Window or Templete,
or any such idea by which I can intrepretate the OTF Data, will be helpful.
Any I/P will certainly help me, pls share your views.
Thanking You All.Hi,
I hesitated to answer yesterday, because I can't really give any useful info on your specific requirement... but, even if the form is a relatively simple one, I'd put the technical challenge in the same category as printing a smartform to, say, an mpeg video What business need/requirement would this OTF->Excel converter actually cater to..? It should IMO be something really critical and central to the business to justify investing in developing (and maintaining!) something like that inhouse.
Have you already considered outputting Smartform as XSF, HTML or XDF (out of the three only HTML will attempt to preserve layout).
cheers
Janis
Edit in: in case you have not seen it yet, here is the OTF documentation

How can i transfer IDOC to XML format?
Hi,
How can i transfer IDOC to XML format?
Is there some some mechanism to transfer IDOC to XML format to be used by XI system?
Pls help.
Regards,
KanwarRavi,
If you want to pick the IDOC in an XML format, you can do that from WE60 transaction. Here a XML of the IDOC MATMAS05 that I could generate out WE60 transaction. If the XML format is required at design time to pass on the middleware consultant, how can I use the function module.
You can get the XML schema by going to the Menu
Documentation --> XML Schema.

Format WLC-5508 Flash and IOS recovery guide
Dear Support Cummunity,
i have a WLC-5508 where by i am unable to join any kind of AIR-LAP1x00 Access-Points.
They can't join in the local management ip of the controller within same L2 or via routed network thereby using the APs CLi by
"lwapp ap controller ip addr xx.xx.xx.xx".
I upgraded from: 6.0.188.0 to
AIR-CT5500-K9-6-0-199-0.aes
AIR-CT5500-K9-7-0-98-0.aes
thereby catching the same logs every time.
The main error message from the WLCs log i catched first is:
"maximum number of downloads (0) exceeded"
*sntpReceiveTask: Jul 16 07:40:58.827: %LOG-3-Q_IND: capwap_ac_sm.c:1683 Ignoring discovery request from AP 00:26:99:86:c9:b9 - maximum number of downloads (0) exceeded

Print Documentation - re-running
We are transfering projects from RoboHelp 4x to RoboHel 7 - running the Print Documentation function was not reviously done, so we are just learning to work with the settings, etc..and how it works so that work is not duplicated each time on-line Help is updated.
Question: finished doing some formatting in Word after generating Print Documentation, will 'formatting' and editing be retained if the Print Documentation is run again? or will formatting need to be re-done?Hi there
Consider creating a printed document from RoboHelp to be similar to baking a cake. The Single Source Layout properties is very much like the recipe used. The Word Document you get in the end is very much like the cake that would result.
You are describing editing the Word document. This is like smearing icing on your cake. You can't expect to bake another cake and have it already iced.
So to specifically answer your question, you will indeed need to re-format the document if you create Printed Documentation again.
Cheers... Rick

Hi All,
We have specific requirement, where my cleint wants to create a campaign, like email or mailer campaign in CRM, But as per System Landscape of our project Email and Letter composition is sent through system called Streamserve, where stream serve will compose the letters and emails based on the template created in CRM with the Target Group attached.
Now how i can send the campaign details to streamserve, we have an issue because letter and email templates will eb created in CRM and streamserve can only recieve XML files.
I am lost how i can achieve thsi solution.
Regards
Arun KumarHi Guys!
Sorry for a late reply but anyhow...
Which version of StreamServe are you using? And which version of CRM?
Some background/general points:
When it comes to integrating StreamServe with SAP you have a number of basic options/interfaces supported by StreamServe:
- IDocs
- XML (generic)
- RDI ([Raw Data from SAPScript|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/fd07c590-0201-0010-9a82-c767532203a6]:
- XSF ([XML Output for SmartForms|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d763c290-0201-0010-95ae-985957613e90])
- XFP ([XML Output for PDF-based forms|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/80dd00f9-7671-2910-99bb-e5a004a8e1c9])
- XFA support (formatted PDF-based print forms)
- SAPGOF ([OTF from SapScripts and SmartForms and ABAP List|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f036ff36-b6d4-2b10-978c-e78131dce2db])
Additionally you could set up StreamServe as an External Output Management system in SAP Spool Administration (SPAD) (since we have support for the [XOM|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/c8feb390-0201-0010-27ae-fbf9a2684cec] interface) which would let you track status of spool requests sent from SAP to StreamServe .
The availablility of all that depends on which version of StreamServe you are using, license etc...
Now to your specific problem....
What I've seen some StreamServe & SAP customers do when using StreamServe with CRM is that they:
1) Do the layout of the document/form in StreamServe
2) Set up CRM to output generic campaign data as XML or CSV to StreamServe (or using Idocs).
In this scenario you could, e.g. if end-users/business users are designing the documents from within CRM Web UI, use either StreamServe Composer och CompositionCenter (which are web based applications) to let end-users have an easy way of updating some sections of the marketing/campaign documents. To add new campaign messaging, images etc. You could also add a direct link to those applications from withing the CRM Web UI by doing some customizing - to let the users have an integrated view.
1') Alternatively if you are using the Marketing/Mail Forms which is a kind of SmartForm (transaction CRMD_EMAIL) then you can set up them for print output using OTF/SAPGOF which would let StreamServe handle that data pre-formatted.
Post back again if unclear.

Function module for calculating sigma balance
Is there any function module available in SAP for calculating sigma balance.
Thanks
Gauravhi
ABAP_DOCU_DOWNLOAD Download ABAP documentation in HTML format.
APPL_LOG_DELETE With this function module you delete logs in the database according to specified selection conditions
APPL_LOG_DISPLAY With this function module you can analyze logs in the database.
APPL_LOG_DISPLAY_INTERN With this function module you can analyze logs in local memory, e.g. when you have only collected log records at runtime and do not want to write to the database.
APPL_LOG_INIT This function module checks whether the specified object or sub-object exists and deletes all existing associated data in local memory.
APPL_LOG_READ_DB With this function module you read the log data in the database for an object or sub-object according to specified selection conditions.
APPL_LOG_READ_INTERN With this function module you read all log data whose log class has at least the specified value, from local memory, for the specified object or sub-object.
APPL_LOG_SET_OBJECT With this function module, you create a new object or sub-object for writing in local memory. With a flag you can control whether the APPL_LOG_WRITE_... messages are written in local memory or are output on the screen.
APPL_LOG_WRITE_DB With this function module you write all data for the specified object or sub-object in local memory to the database. If the log for the object or sub-object in question is new, the log number is returned to the calling program.
APPL_LOG_WRITE_HEADER With this function module, you write the log header data in local memory.
APPL_LOG_WRITE_LOG_PARAMETERS With this function module, you write the name of the log parameters and the associated values for the specified object or sub-object in local memory. If this function module is called repeatedly for the same object or sub-object, the existing parameters are updated accordingly. If you do not specify an object or sub-object with the call, the most recently used is assumed.
APPL_LOG_WRITE_MESSAGE_PARAMS With this function module you write a single message, with parameters, in local memory. Otherwise the function module works like APPL_LOG_WRITE_SINGLE_MESSAGE.
APPL_LOG_WRITE_MESSAGES With this function module you write one or more messages, without parameters, in local memory.
APPL_LOG_WRITE_SINGLE_MESSAGE With this function module you write a single message, without parameters, in local memory. If no header entry has yet been written for the object or sub-object, it is created. If you do not specify an object or sub-object with the call, the most recently used is assumed.

F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST F4 help that returns the values selected in an internal table. Very handy when programming your very own F4 help for a field.
Example:
data:
begin of t_values occurs 2,
value like kna1-begru,
end of t_values,
t_return like ddshretval occurs 0 with header line.
t_values = 'PAR*'.
append t_values.
t_values = 'UGG'.
append t_values.
call function 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST'
exporting
retfield = 'BEGRU'

value_tab = t_values
return_tab = t_return
exceptions
parameter_error = 1
no_values_found = 2
others = 3.
if sy-subrc = 0.
read table t_return index 1.
o_begru-low = t_return-fieldval.
if o_begru-low = 'PAR*'.
o_begru-option = 'CP'.
else.
o_begru-option = 'EQ'.
endif.
o_begru-sign = 'I'.
append o_begru to s_begru.
else.
o_begru = i_begru.
endif.
F4IF_SHLP_EXIT_EXAMPLE documents the different reasons to use a search help exit, and shows how it is done.
F4IP_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST This function does not exist in 4.6 and above. Use F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST instead.
FILENAME_GET popup to get a filename from a user, returns blank filename if user selects cancel
FORMAT_MESSAGE Takes a message id and number, and puts it into a variable. Works better than WRITE_MESSAGE, since some messages use $ as a place holder, and WRITE_MESSAGE does not accommadate that, it only replaces the ampersands (&) in the message.
FTP_COMMAND Execute a command on the FTP server
FTP_CONNECT Open a connection (and log in) to an FTP server
FTP_DISCONNECT Close the connection (and log off) the FTP server
FU CSAP_MAT_BOM_READ You can use this function module to display simple material BOMs. You cannot display BOM groups (for example, all variants of a variant BOM). as in transaction CS03. Current restrictions: You cannot display long texts. You cannot display sub-items. You cannot display classification data of BOM items for batches. You can only display one alternative or variant. You cannot enter an alternative for module CSAP_MAT_BOM_READ, so you always see alternative 01. The following example came from a posting on the SAP-R3-L mailing list.
Example:
data: begin of tstk2 occurs 0.
include structure stko_api02.
data: end of tstk2.
data: begin of tstp2 occurs 0.

Example:
Set the parameters as follows:
RELID = 'ZZ'
SRTF2 = 0
SRTF = (your report name)

F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST F4 help that returns the values selected in an internal table. Very handy when programming your very own F4 help for a field.
Example:
data:
begin of t_values occurs 2,
value like kna1-begru,
end of t_values,
t_return like ddshretval occurs 0 with header line.
t_values = 'PAR*'.
append t_values.

FILENAME_GET popup to get a filename from a user, returns blank filename if user selects cancel
FORMAT_MESSAGE Takes a message id and number, and puts it into a variable. Works better than WRITE_MESSAGE, since some messages use $ as a place holder, and WRITE_MESSAGE does not accommodate that, it only replaces the ampersands (&) in the message.
