Save Data on Preview

Dear all,
Does anybody knows if is possible to save data entered by user on Interactive Form (In preview - ABAP Program) ? I know we can "Save as" another file. If was a Web Dynpro application I think it will be possible because the PDF Data will be on context, but I've a doubt about pure ABAP program.

The form is Interactive, I can change the TextFields without problem, but the only option on Preview is "Save as" file, not Save. I would like to save the information that i've inputed without save to another file on user computer.

PDF Interactive Forms Not Saving Data in Preview

Interactive PDF forms opened in Preview doesn't seem to save data you fill in when you save the document. Acrobat seems to save and retain the document without a problem. Anyone know what's going on?

Adobe wants to keep you using only Adobe software so they have designed in incompatibilities with the OS. I don't know of any other PDF tool that can do fill-in forms. If you want to use fill-in forms, you'll have to print it using CUPS-PDF (I haven't tried this with Leopard yet). You could also use Skim to turn any PDF into a fill-in form.

Problem with Save data with report

Hi,
I am new to CR and using Crystal Reports XI with SQL Server 2000.
I'm not able to remove the saved data in a report. I have played around different options, but unfortunately I'm not able to remove the data. I have checked variouse places in web above this issue not able to find a solution, so decided to open a new post. The problem is :
I have created a simple report and saved with-out data (1st version) the file size was 16KB. After few changes I have saved the same report with Data, the file size become 1065 KB. Its perfect and I can view the report in Report Viewer. Great Stuff!. Now the Testing completed, I would like to move this report to production environment, I notice that I'm unable to remove the data. I have played around various tricks like below, but it didnt work well.
Trick 1:
Uncheck: File->Options->Reporting (tab)->Save Data With Report.
Check: File -> Options -> Reporting (tab)->Discard Saved data on Open,
Uncheck: file-> Report Options -> Save Data With Report.
File -> Save Data with Report (Not selected)
Opened the report and try "save" and also tried "save as", still the size is 1065.
Trick 2:
I enabled all "Save Data with report" feature. Deleted all the rows in the table related to the query, previewed the report and Saved the report with "Save Data with report" featuer. But now, the funny part happen, the file size increased to 1070kb, instead of reducing. Worst Stuff!!!
Trick 3:
Updated the latest version of Patch and tried above tricks, still i'm not able to remove the data.
Appreciate, if you could help me to fix the problem.

PPOME 'date and preview period'. Is there a user parameter for settings?

Hi
The default setting for the 'date and preview period' in PPOME/PPOSE is sy-datum + 3 months. Our users would like this to be sy-datum with time period 'Complete'.
Is there a user parameter to set for this.
Is there anywhere I can see the documentation for the values in parameter POK?

Hi Kirsten,
In PPOME, when you select end date 31.12.9999 from date & preview period, save and exit; the next time you login the system defaults this selection for you.
There is a user parameter OM_DATE (format : YYYYMMDD) which defaults the start date in date and preview period window in PPOME.

Can I save data in a snapshot from signal express 2013 LE?

Can I save data (in txt or excel format) from a snapshot from signal express 2013 LE? My data buffer is too larege to export to excel. When I try to take a snapshot, I do not see any data. Are snapshots supported in the LE mode? This is the free version that comes with the USB 6009 ADC.

Yes, the snapshot function is available for SignalExpress 2013 LE. Does the snapshot function as intended when you try other projects?

Not able to save data in pa30 action infotype in production

Hi,
In my organization users are not able to save data in SAP HR pa30 action info type in production.
It is gets hanged and throws run time error after run long time .
in ST22 it will give below error:
Runtime Errors   TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED
Information on where terminated
    Termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLRHAS"   in "FILL_STRU_TURBO"
    The main program was "MP000000 ".
    In the source code you have the terminated point in line 759
    of the (Include) program "LRHASF00".

I want to edit a field--the price and save the changes. I have assigned a button STORE for this. But my data is not getting saved.
I searched the forum and wrote the code accordingly. I even referred the stored programs. Still I am not getting the output. Please help.

other problem is that the channel DAQmx only works at real time mode not on stand alone vi using Labview 8.2 and Real time 8.2

If you want to do excel formatting and really have full functionality in Excel without having to buy the reports toolkit, you can use the Excel ActiveX controls. If you have Excel installed you can use ActiveX references to do anything you want excel to do for you. Use an automation reference and select the Excel class. I forget what its called, but you should be able to find what does what without too much problem. You just use methods from the reference. It takes a bit of work to figure out what everything does, but I have written huge formatting vi's that open excel, format cells, run macros, and save files in excel and then close excel when its done. It all depends on how fancy you want to get.

How can I do to acquire and save date in the same time and in the same file when I run continual my VI without interruption.

I've attached a VI that I am using to acquire amplitude from Spectrum analyzerse. I tried to connect amplitude ouput to the VI Write Characters To File.vi and Write to Spreadsheet File.vi. Unfortunately when I run continual this VI without interruption, labview ask me many time to enter a new file name to save a new value.
So, How can I do to aquire and save date in the same time and in the same file when I run continual my VI for example during 10 min.

Your VI does work perfectly. Unfortunately this not what I want to do. I've made error in my last comment. I am so sorry for this.
So I explain to you again what I want to do exactly. I want to acquire amplitude along road by my vehicle. I want to use wheel signal coming from vehicle to measure distance along road. Then I acquire 1 amplitude each 60 inches from spectrum analyzer.
I acquire from PC parallel port a coded wheel signal coming from vehicle (each period of the signal corresponds to 12 Inches). Figure attached shows the numeric signal coming from vehicle, and the corresponding values “120” and “88” that I can read from In Port vi.
So I want to acquire 1 time amplitude from spectrum analyser each 5
period of the signal that I am acquiring from parallel port.
So fist I have to find how can I count the number of period from reading the values “120” and “88” that I am acquiring from In Port (I don’t know the way to count a number of period from reading values “120” and “88”).
Here is a new algorithm.
1) i=0 (counter: number of period)
2) I read value from In Port
3) If I acquire a period
i= i+1 (another period)
4) If i is multiple of 5 (If I read 5 period)
acquire 1 time amplitude and write to the same
file this amplitude and the corresponding distance
Distance = 12*i). Remember each period of signal
Corresponds to 12 Inches).i has to take these
values: 5,10,15,20,25,35,40,45,50,55,60............
5) Back to 2 if not stop.

How to save data in a string control?

I want to save data in a string control or indicator. I know that I can rt-click and make the data default. But can it be done through a proberty node or something else when the program is running?

There isn't a "Make Current Value Default" method that you can invoke programmatically, this would require your VI to be saved when it was closed, which obviously couldn't be done if it had been built into an executable.
You could read the values from the controls/indicators and save them in a .ini file using the Configuration File VIs on the File I/O palette, and have some code at the start of your program that reads the values from the file and puts them into the objects using local variables.

Save data to a table (In the View method)

   I am new to Webdynpro.We have a requirement in BW to update user config tables using webdynpro.I got the retrieve data part working.
Now I am trying to save data back to the table.I got the following code in the save method which will be called when the save button is clicked.
