Saving a textarea list from a form to attribute string in SAP resource

Hi,
I am trying to save a text area from a form defined as this:
<Field name='accounts[$(RESOURCE_NAME)].assignedProfiles'>
<Display class='TextArea'>
<Property name='title' value='$(RESOURCE_NAME) Profiles'/>
<Property name='rows' value='6'/>
<Property name='columns' value='32'/>
<Property name='format' value='list'/>
<Property name='sorted' value='true'/>
</Display>
<Derivation>
<ref>accounts[$(RESOURCE_NAME)].assignedProfiles</ref>
</Derivation>
</Field>
Into an SAP Resource to the attribute assignedProfiles which is mapped to PROFILES->BAPIPROF
This text area actually outputs a list and saves without error from IDM however, when I check in SAP, it's not reflected, what is happening here, I tried many approaches already, and it's maddening that it doesn't work!
Please help!

So here is a solution I came up with
<cfoutput>
<cfset Servers="#StripCR(Form.ServerList)#">
<cfset Servers2="'#Replace(Servers, "
", " ", "All")#'">
<cfset Servers3="#ToString(Servers2)#">
<cfset Servers4="#Replace(Servers3, " ", "', '", "All")#">
</cfoutput>
Then in the cfquery SQL I used
WHERE Server IN (#PreserveSingleQuotes(Servers4)#)
Right now this is working but it seems very cumbersome.  If anyone can come up with a way to simplify this please let me know.

  • Saving data in database from jsp form

    I have a very huge table in my jsp...600 entries.
    my form table is like this.
    the number of rows depends upon the number of days in a month.
    there is one colum which specifies the time frame in 1 hr frame and
    withing each column is two coulmn representing either male or female.
    If i want to save the data entered in the form to database synchronizing
    with date, timeframe and sex, what is the best way to do it?
    I did it in a way that declaring 600 private string variables in form bean,
    saving it in a list and sending it to database.
    Is there any other way of doing it without the need for 600 getter and setter methods?

    I just want to see if I understood this correctly. You declared 600 private variables in a form bean?
    Perhaps this is not the best use of either Struts or the JavaBean specification. What you almost certainly actually have is a series of homogenous objects. Store that instead in an array or Collection. Use loops to iterate through the values to generate your table. There are both JSTL tags and plain Java code embedded within a JSP to achieve this task.

  • Saving values into table from Interactive Form

    Hallo together,
    iam trying to do the example "Include Tables" (SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe - Galileo Press).
    It works, but not as described. When i want to change data in the interactive_forms ui element and press the webdynpro native button send, the value at the webdynpro table does not change. When i change the value at the webdynpro table and press the send button at the form or change the line at the webdynpro, the value in the adobe formular changes too. Thats one problem.
    The other problem is that i want to save the changed/added data from the formular at the database. What to do? The form layout is "ZCI Layout" and i added the script:
    DO NOT MODIFY THE CODE BEYOND THIS POINT - 800.20070708051308.406522.403406 - ContainerFoundation_JS
    I also added this into "wddomodifyview":
    METHOD wddomodifyview .
      DATA: lr_interactive_form TYPE REF TO cl_wd_interactive_form,
                 lr_method_handler TYPE REF TO if_wd_iactive_form_method_hndl.
      CHECK first_time = abap_true.
      lr_interactive_form ?= view->get_element( 'FORM' ).
      lr_method_handler ?= lr_interactive_form->_method_handler.
      lr_method_handler->set_legacy_editing_enabled( abap_true ).
    ENDMETHOD.
    I selected also:
    execute at: "Server and Client"
    I dont know what to do anymore.
    Best regards
    Philip

    Hi,
    To make an input enabled table. I would suggest to use TABLE element from the PDF library and then binding the columns from your context.
    Step 1: Library -> Standard ->Table
    Select create using assistance.
    Select body rows vary depending on data .
    Select number of Columns in your case it will be 4.
    Then proceed further and finish as per your need.
    Step 2:
    Select a table Column .
    Select Pallets->Object then chnage the cell type from Text to text field.
    Then click on binding tab and bind it to the respective field from hierarchy.
    Select upgrade the following properties radio button and check only "default value" option.
    This will create binding something like this $record.SCARR.DATA[*].CARRID
    Follow this for all other columns.
    Step 3:
    Now create a button in the View holding your form(you can also use SUBMIT button of form). On action event of this button right the following code to get all the changed values from Table.
    data lt_scarr type wd_this->elements_scarr.
      call method lo_nd_scarr->get_static_attributes_table
        importing
          table = lt_scarr.
    LT_SCARR will contain all the new values from Form. Then use this table to update ur database table.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek

  • Assign Task to a specific user based on the value of DDL from the form

    Hello,
    Can any one please advise me on how to assign a task to a specific user based on the value of the drop down list from the form. E.g. user fills the form and before they submit the form they have to select one of the name from the drop down list so the form can go to that person for approval.
    Thanks in advance,
    Han

    I got it works now by using the xpath expression (in workbench) to assign to the selected user from the DDL in the form.

  • Closing a Enumerated DropDown List in Adobe form

    I have an adobe form where we used Enumerated Drop down Lists for search helps. The problem is right now we dont have option to close the Enumerated DropDown List. It closes when we select a value or sometimes if we try "ESC" key. But we want to have a "Close"/"X" button like in normal search help.
    Letme know if there is any solution or an Alternate way to close the Enumerated Drop Down List from Adobe Form by just hitting a close/X button. Each value help has over 500 values, so we cannot use normal dropdowns, letme know if any other suggestions.

    Hello Arafat,
    I am using a drop down list in Adobe Interactive Form for Web Dynpro ABAP.
    The form is of ZCI type layout and the form interface is of XML schema-based interface type and the XML schema source is set to "Generated".
    I have included the following code in WDDOINIT method of the view:
    data: handle1 type ref to if_wd_context_node,
    begin of zstruct,
    zktokd type kna1-ktokd,
    end of zstruct,
    zitab type table of zsttxecr.
    handle1 = wd_context->get_child_node( name = 'DATA.NODE1' ).
    select ktokd from kna1 into corresponding fields of zstruct.
    append zstruct to zitab.
    endselect.
    handle1->bind_table( new_items = zitab ).
    In the Adobe Form Designer, i have binded the node NODE1 to the enumerated drop down list from native web dynpro library. Still the drop down box is not getting populated.
    Please let me know what is missing.
    Thanks and Regards.

  • Passing a parameter list from a web form to a report

    I am using FORMS6 and REPORTS6, with OAS 4.07 on NT4 (SP3).
    In client server mode all works well - i am able to pass parameter lists from my calling form to the relevant reports and view them (using RUN_PRODUCT).
    However, when i try and do the same by deploying the web Form I come up against several obstacles.
    1. How do you pass a parameter list over without using "Paramform=Yes" - a waste of time seeing a html version of the reports parameter form when all the necessary parameters have been selected in the form.
    2. if i use web.show_document, with paramform=no, the report runs but with it's default settings.
    Any light you can shed would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Tony ,
    Launcher form is just a simple form(Non database form) which will be having all fields that is required for the report and button to run the report .
    When button pressed trigger
    Pass all the parameters which are required using Run_product tool & Call the report by Web.Show_document
    Best way to see the report is in .pdf format in adobe acrobat reader
    I hope it will help you

    I got so frustrated I started over. I'm following the how to create a manual form.
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/howtos/tabular_form.html#MANUAL
    The problem I'm now having is even though I display items as hidden, there is a column holder on the report for them. If I go into the report attributes and toggle the show attribute off I cannot reference an items value in my logic. I used /&nbsp/ for the column heading but I still get the little sort arrow where the column heading should be. I tried to toggle the sort attribute off but the sort arrow still shows up. How can I use the apex_item.hidden and not get a place holder for the column on a report? Thanks, Elizabeth

  • Pass Values to Edit Form thru Query String and Save in List

    I have developed a custom Edit form from SharePoint Designer and I am passing values thru Query String as below;
    http://<>/cli/acc/Lists/GIInfo/testEdit.aspx?ID=262&com=POD_Send
    And, user supposed to save the form directly without changing the values came thru Query String as below.
    Now, issue is, when user saves the form, values is not getting saved. It saves when we change the value in text box or when we do a text change event in form. Becasue data binding says Text Change even in data binding property.
    __designer:bind="{ddwrt:DataBind('u',concat('ff22',$Pos),'Text','TextChanged','ID',ddwrt:EscapeDelims(string(@ID)),'@Actions')}"/>
    Kindly guide me what is the issue, or correct approach to do that? I want to pass values to Edit Form thru Query string and save in List without changing those.

  • Can I create "keyword list" from keywords in EXIF data?

    Hi - I'm still a Mac and Aperture noob, so please excuse me if the question is dumb or ill-formed...
    I used to use Photoshop Elements on a PC. I made pretty extensive use of "tags" (keywords, in Aperture lingo) for categorizing my photos. I wrote all the tags into the exif data of my photos, then copied everything over to Aperture.
    Now, when I pull up an existing photo in Aperture browser, I can see the keywords that I already added. Great...but, is there a way to extract all the existing keywords from all my photos, and build a "library" of keywords that I can pick and choose from for tagging future photos?
    Alternatively - if I could export a keyword list from Photoshop Elements (in txt or XML format, whatever) is there a way that I can import that into Aperture?
    From the reading I've done so far, it seems like I have to manually enter keywords on each photo or do a batch update (and, again, manually enter them). I'd much prefer to have a list of keywords that I can scroll down, then just click to select. Is that asking too much of Aperture?

    Welcome to the list and Mac's. Don't woory about your questions, veteran Mac and Aperture users here frequently post dumb and ill-formed questions.
    I used to use Photoshop Elements on a PC. I made pretty extensive use of "tags" (keywords, in Aperture lingo) for categorizing my photos. I wrote all the tags into the exif data of my photos, then copied everything over to Aperture.

    I tried what you described to see what would happen. I opened an image in Preview and added a keyword to it (one I was sure wasn't in my Aperture) saved the file and imported into Aperture. The new keyword was bot in the EXIF data field of the image and in Apertures keyword list.
    Are you familiar with the *Keywords HUD* (*Window->Show Keyword HUD*)? If you look there do you see your keywords from your imported images?
    Alternatively - if I could export a keyword list from Photoshop Elements (in txt or XML format, whatever) is there a way that I can import that into Aperture?
    There is a way to import and export keywords see *+Exporting and Importing Keyword Lists+* in the +Aperture Users Manual+ (get to it by *Help->Aperture Help*)
    From the reading I've done so far, it seems like I have to manually enter keywords on each photo or do a batch update (and, again, manually enter them). I'd much prefer to have a list of keywords that I can scroll down, then just click to select. Is that asking too much of Aperture?
