Saving logos as jpg, eps, and png. What mode do I create each in? RGB or CMYK?

Question... My client has asked for their logo as a JPG, EPS and PNG. They want a file ready to go, so they can fire off logos to whomever for whatever purpose.
The Pantones are selected. My question, what mode do I create each format (jpg, eps, png) in? CMYK or RGB? Or do I create a CMYK and RGB of each for each format? (The more I know, the less I understand)

I think I've really over-complicated this, and here's all I really need to send them:
EPS: Pantone, CMYK, RGB (I have read EPS's are outdated, but she didn't have a problem with it. This way they can take the Pantone colors and try to replicate them as closely as possible)
JPG: Pantone, CMYK, RGB (per your earlier comments)
PNG: Pantone, RGB (Web usage)
PDF/X-4: Printer didn't have strong feelings on this format. She said the EPS would be fine. I'll still send it though.

Problem with layers in saving logo as jpg

Hi- I created a logo in Illustrator and brought it into Photoshop. I wanted to save it as a .jpg in My Pictures to upload it to a website. But when I tried to change from the file extension psd to jpg, I got a dialogue box which says I'll have to save it as a copy. Under Save Options, there is a caution sign next to Layers. Under Color, it's checked next to the ICC Profile: US Web Coated (SWOP)v2. Also checked is Use lower case extension. When I save it as a jpg anyway and try to upload it to the site, it shows up as a box with an "X" in it. Can someone tell me what I've done incorrectly? Thanks!

OK, no problem. Here's the process I've been going through. I click Save
As. A dialogue box appears with "Save As" at the top. I save it in My
Pictures, as this is where I access images for this website. Under
"Format", I select .jpg. As soon as I do this, in the "Save Options"
section below, I see a yellow caution sign next to "layers" and at the
bottom a message appears which says, "File must be saved as a copy with
this selection". This is confusing, since I've gone through this process
before with other logos without having this problem. I'm wondering if it
has to do with the Illustrator file I originally brought into Photoshop.

Trying to Import .JPG .PSD and .PNGs and cant

So I've been having the issue for a while now. Whenever I import images into Premiere I get an "unsupported filed type error" no matter what kind of file type it is. I have tried everything and have so far ended up rather unlucky when it comes to finding a solution so I need help.
I run Premiere on a MacBook Pro (Early 2014) and I'm using the latest Creative Cloud version.

After installing the latest software from apple on my Iphone4, I have not been able to retrive my saved data in contact list and notes, evidently I did not create a back up to the system first? is there any solution to restore my system. technical support

I think this is a flow in the system when you can not do restore. which should be done automaticaly, we are not all computer savy?!

Go to iTunes menu, EDIT/PREFERENCES/DEVICES tab, do you see any Backup files with Date and Time? These are the backup file you have everytime you sync your device to your iTunes.
Now close the dialogue box, connect your device to your computer. In iTunes left Pane, your iPhone will appear under "Devices". Right mouse click yout iPhone and select Restore from backup, select the backup from Date and Time you can remember that has all the contacts and notes and proceed from there.

I cant maintain illustrator resolution when I import my .ai, .eps, or .png into fireworks

When I try to import my image i made in illustrator into fireworks the resolution is really bad. i've tried to copy and paste it as well as open the (.ai, .eps, and .png) file in fireworks. The resolution on the illustrator file is 72 ppi as well as the fireworks canvas. What am I doing wrong?

The dotted lines you are referring to are either table cell
outlines, or
the outlines added by the browser as an accessibility aid. We

I know that the my computer knows, but I want to know. I want to select a folder and tell what application or process created it.

Ah, that sheds some light on things.
The reason I want such information is that I am finding whole directories named after my external drives (airdisks) on my internal drive and I am trying to determine how they got there.
It appears to be related to losing connection with the drive during downloads. THIS, in and of it self, causes numerous problems with LOTS of stuff. I am working on finding a solution to the loss of connection in another thread, and with Apple Tech support.
I use BitRockXXXet and Xtorrxxxent. I have the dl locations properly designated, however, these duplicate directories keep appearing--sucking up my internal HDD space. Its very much like what Windows does if a folder is specified but does not exist: it will create it. I have deleted these directories several times but, like I said, they keep reappearing, I have seen as many as 5 versions of a directory show up in my "Volumes" ie: My Media-1, My Media-2, My Media-3, My Media-4, My Media-5.
So, I am trying to get this fixed and stop wasting my time hunting down lost space, and then moving the downloaded material to the proper drive.

AE CC crash when drag jpg and png files to comp

Hi I have noticed photoshop exports of jpg and png files cause AE CC to crash when drag these files to comp Same jpg and png exported from CS6 do not cause crash.

What exact version of Photoshop CC are you using? 14.0, 14.1, 14.2?
How are you saving the PNG and JPEG files from Photoshop? File > Save As? Save for Web?
In After Effects preferences > Media & Disk Cache, is the Create Layer Markers from Footage XMP Metadata option enabled? Does the problem go away if you turn this off?

However, we have no reason to believe the same problem would apply to files generated from Photoshop. I am not able to reproduce your problem with PNG and JPEG files saved from Photoshop CC (14.2), either from Save As or Save for Web. So either the conditions of your problem are more specific, or it is not related to the XMP Metadata problem.

Saving jpeg and png files large file size

Ive recently purchased web premium 5.5 and Im trying to save files in jpeg and png format in Photoshop and Im getting unexpectedly large file sizes, for example I save a simple logo image 246x48 which consists of only 3 basic colours and when I save it as a jpeg quality 11 it reports the file size in the finder as 61.6k, I save it as a png file and its 60.2k also I cropped the image to 190x48 and saved it as a png and the file size is actually larger at 61.9k saving as a jpeg at quality 7 the files size is a still relatively large 54k.
I have a similar png non indexed colour logo on my mac I saved in CS3 on a pc which is actually larger at 260x148 and it's only 17k and that logo is actually more complex with a gloss effect over part of it. Whats going on and how do I fix it, It's making Photoshop useless especially when saving for the web

Thanks I had considered that but all my old files are reporting the correct files sizes I have been experimenting and fireworks saves the file at png 24 at 2.6k and jpegs at 5.1k, but I don't really want to have to save the files twice once cut from the comp in photoshop and again in fireworks juggling between the two applications is a bit inconvenient even with just one file but especially when you have potentially hundreds of files to save.
Ive also turned off icon and windows thumbnail in photoshop preferences and although this has decreased the file size they are still quite large at 27k and save for the web is better at 4k for the png and 16k for the jpeg. Is there anyway to get Fireworks file saving performance in Photoshop ? it seems strange that the compression in Photoshop would be second rate in comparison to fireworks given they are both developed by Adobe and Photoshop is Adobes primary image editing software.

Pdf save as jpg and png looks pixelated like it doesn't anti-alias text

This has been an issue for a while and I can't figure out how to resolve it. When i open a pdf in acrobat 11.0.0 and click file/save as other/ i can't get the text to anti-alias, it always looks jagged no matter what settings i adjust.
I can bring the pdf into photoshop or illustrator and can export there but with multiple pages it is a bit absurd. any ideas?

I'll try to do the updates, it is rather difficult to do when the creative cloud software thinks you are up to date.
I've tried everything from determine automatically and 72-600 dpi, adjusting the interlace and filter options. It happens regardless of the font - here are 2 more examples on a file created in illustrator, saved off as pdf and then jpg using default settings and png using default settings

Adobe X PDF files converted to jpg, edited and converted back to PDF have ragged, unclear text. I didn't have this problem with Acrobat 9 standard. What is the remedy for this. If this is the best I can expect, I won't be able to use X standard.

I can't imagine any worse workflow than converting to JPEG to edit text, then back to PDF. Text in a PDF is a vector thing, smooth at all resolutions. And JPEG is made for photos. EVERY conversion to JPEG and back loses quality but how much loss there is will vary.
If you must go to an image format, try PNG.

With Netscape all of the Webcam shots from live feeds were automatically saved in my cache folder and I could simply open my cache send the saved files into AcDsee and convert them into jpgs, It would save as many as I would allow space for. With firefox

I cant retrieve my images from webcams that are cached any more with mozilla. With netscape all of the live webcam images from live cams were automatically saved in my cache folder and all i had to do was open it send the files to acdsee and turn them into jpgs. It would save them untill the Cache ran out of room no matter how many files or sites I had running. Mozilla seems to save what it wants when it wants and often dose not save any that I can retrieve because I believe it is bulking them into Cache 123 or 4 and those i cant open to retrieve the files. Sometimes it saves 100 or so and sometimes 2 or 3 sometimes 10 or more but i don't seem to have any control over what it does or does not save to retrieve no matter how much space i allow for the cache to save.

I've moved up from CS5 to 6. Always before able to save images as .jpg. Now on 6, files are saved as .eps?
Why is that and how can I save as .jpg instead?

The way you save files in Photoshop has changed very little over the last few years. You are able to choose a variety of file formats, .eps and .jpeg being two of them.
You can change the file format you want to save by selecting "JPEG" from the Format menu after opening the Save As… dialog.

I have used Image Capture to scan images/documents and then saved them as either PDFs or PNG files. For some reason, just this past week Image Capture will no longer save the file. It scans, and the Scan Results window pops up, but it won't save file.

I have done this in the past and it has worked, but now it will not.
I have not upgraded any software, that I am aware of.
After scanning, the Image Capture pops up the Scan Results with the file name in the window, but neither the Scan Results nor the Image Capture window responds to inputs. The Image Capture window is frozen, with only the "Overview" and "Cancel" buttons active (but non-responsive).
Is this a software issue or a scanner hardware issue? I am using a HP Photosmart C6200 series printer/scanner on a network using a Time Capsule airport.

I had the same problem.
Got a 90% fix. Apparently the Mavericks preferences won't work with Yosemite, so I just deleted the Image Capture preferences.
Unfortunately, the "Scan to" folder seems to be permanently set to the Pictures folder.
1. Quit Image Capture
2. Go to Finder > Go > Home, which opens up your home folder (named after your user name)
3. Open Library > Preferences > com.apple.ImageCapture.plist - Drag this file to the Trash
4. Start "Image Capture", click "Details" and change all your settings as you prefer
5. Quit and restart "Image Capture". Notice it remembers all your settings except "Scan to" folder. It insists on saving to "Pictures".
That's as far as I was successful. I tried changing the "Scan to" folder to "Desktop", but on launch, Image Capture always sets it back to "Pictures".
This is what I tried:
6. Download and install "Pref Setter" from http://www.nightproductions.net/prefsetter.html
7. Quit "Image Capture". Right-click on "com.apple.ImageCapture.plist" and open with Pref Setter.
8. Search for "Pictures", which finds "~/Pictures" (the tilde character at the start means your home directory).
9. Double-click on "~/Pictures" and change it to the folder you prefer. I like "~/Desktop"
10. Choose File > Save then Quit from Pref Setter. Note that re-opening the plist file still shows "~/Desktop"
11. Start up "Image Capture" -- on startup, "Image Capture" sets "Scan to" folder to "Pictures"
I consider this a bug.
