SCEA Turnaround Time

I have a couple of questions for anyone familiar with the Oracle Certified Master, Java EE 5 Enterprise Architect (SCEA) certification.
1) There are currently 3 parts to the certification (prior to August 1st, 2011) -- multiple choice exam, assignment, and essay exam. Which of these can be taken concurrently, and which ones must be taken in sequence?
2) How long does it take after assignment submission for Oracle/Sun to review it and assign it a grade?
3) How long does it take after essay completion for Oracle/Sun to review it and assign a grade?
4) After you complete all 3 parts and receive passing grades for them, are there any finishing steps before the certifcation is considered complete?
Overall, I am primarily interested in determining roughly how much waiting time there is in the certification process.
Thanks.

I've now found information that confirms the parts must be taken in sequence, but the assignment and essay (which should be taken immediately after doing the assignment) should be submitted together. Also, Oracle claims the assignment is graded as pass/fail (rather than the percentage shown at first glance), and that it will take 4 to 6 weeks to get the pass/fail result.
So take the initial multiple choice exam first. Then do assignment. Then do essay. Then submit assignment and essay together. Get pass/fail result in 4 to 6 weeks.
I garnered all of this from http://www.ibt.prometric.com/oracle.

  • Apple Tech. Service Turnaround Time For Repairs?

I contacted Apple today and made arrangements to send my phone in for either repair or replacement (hope it's repair...) because my usage meter is still not functioning...and my touchscreen has suddenly lost a big degree of sensitivity, taking sometimes 2-3 taps for each function.
They were kind enough to wave the $30 loaner fee for me, and my Apple Care loaner should be here tomorrow.
My question: how long is the turnaround time for normal repairs or replacements with Apple?
I would like my phone back ASAP, naturally.
    Thanks for the help!!

    You're welcome.
I realize this process seems like it will be inconvenient but it actually works quite well. I went through this within the first few weeks after 6/29 due to occasional crackling with the earpiece. My iPhone was exchanged for a new one and I was impressed with the process. I preferred having Fed-Ex deliver the loaner iPhone - using the same box to return my iPhone and doing the same with my replacement and the loaner iPhone. For me this is preferable than driving to a store and waiting in line, etc. and then returning later to repeat that process. I like doing this from the comforts of home or in my situation, from the comforts of my office.
Don't sweat it - it will end up being all good.

still, at least they will replace it for you, even it is not quite so swift..
    please dont misquote me
at least they owned up to the problem and promised to fix any problems under warranty
I didn't think I was changing the meaning of your post by only quoting the bit I was commenting on -- I apologise if you think otherwise.
Given they broke the phones, agreeing to fix them is the very least they can do. They knew more than two weeks ago they were going to have a significant number of dead phones to deal with -- why didn't they ensure they had an adequate number of replacements in stock? This is Nokia's central servicing facility in the UK we are talking about, not a little corner shop ...

http://www.apple.com/support/photoservices/shipping/ - basically 3 to 4 business days production plus shipping of 3 to 14 business days
Or, can I just order it 2 day delivery & it will be here in 2 days?
    no

Not really - they are big files - you probably need to do a print to PDF (or right click (control click) on a grey background area and select preview book from the contextual menu and save the PDF and burn it to a CD and ship it - once you have the PDF you can try e-mails it but it probably will fail on either your end or her's because of the size
And maybe you can downsize the preview since you will not be printing from it.

  • Very slow turnaround time for development

Is there any way to speed up the turnaround time for developing J2EE applications
with pageflows? I make a minor change in my JSP or my JPF and the time it takes
to build and run again is pretty bad. Don't you guys do any incremental compilation?

Change in JPF will take time. but in JSP, it's ok.

  • Average of Turnaround Times

    Post Author: cawade
    CA Forum: Formula
I have a report for which I need to monitor the time taken for the work to be completed for each customer (excluding weekends) ie the turnaround time.
    I am using the following:
    Local DateTimeVar d1 := {First Date};
    Local DateTimeVar d2 := {Last Date}
    DateDiff ("d", d1, d2) -
         DateDiff ("ww", d1, d2, crSaturday) -
         DateDiff ("ww", d1, d2, crSunday)
    This work well.
My question is how do I get the average turnaround time.
    Thanks in advance.

    Post Author: cawade
    CA Forum: Formula
Thanks for that I can see how that can work. But
For the final date I have a conditional formula (maximum{final date, group})  I need this because a have various prompts that have results added at various dates but once the last result is inputted that is the final date I require in the calculation.
When this formula is used there is no availability of the field for the summary.
    Is there any other way
    Thanks

  • Query for order/delivery turnaround time

    Hi, all-
I want to create a query that will show me the turnaround time from the time the sales order is posted to the time the delivery is posted.
An additional twist:  we often have multiple deliveries on a sales order.  Would need to take all of these into account.
Is it as simple as querying the posting date and the Closed date?  But how would I do this?  Or do I need to somehow pull info from both the SO table and the delivery tables?
    Thanks in advance,
    Shelby

    Shelby,
This is something like calculating Average Days to Pay where you need to find the avg turn around time in case of multiple deliveries for 1 Sales Order.
How do you plan to run this Report.  By entering a period range or by entering a Customer Code or by a Sales Order #
Use this query as an idea for the approach
SELECT DISTINCT T0.DocNum, SUM(DATEDIFF(DAY,T0.DocDate,T3.DocDate))/COUNT(T0.DocNum) AS [TurnAround Days],
    COUNT(T0.DocNum) [Number of Deliveries]
    FROM
    [dbo].[ORDR] T0 INNER JOIN [dbo].[RDR1] T1 ON T0.DocEntry = T1.DocEntry
    INNER JOIN [dbo].[DLN1] T2 ON T2.BaseEntry = T0.DocEntry
    INNER JOIN [dbo].[ODLN] T3 ON T3.DocEntry = T2.DocEntry
    WHERE T0.DocStatus = 'C'
    GROUP BY T0.DocNum
Note:  This query will list all the Sales Orders that are closed and will show turnaround days to close the Order completely and the number of deliveries to close the order completely.

  • Applecare turnaround time

Hi, I just recently purchased an Applecare warranty for my MBP and I want to put it to use. My DVD burner doesn't seem to work while the cd burner does and after checking through these forums and applying all methods people have used to try to fix it, I am going to let Apple take care of my problem. The problem is is that I don't like to be without this laptop for a long time and last time I sent it in it took over a week to get it back (problem was some hissing sound in left speaker).
If I call Applecare support, what's the typical turnaround time?

I agree with Kappy of course, but here is my most recent experience and maybe it will give you an idea.
Just to replace the top-shell of my MBP would take a week. I was told that if I wanted to have the bottom shell replaced it would take 2 weeks, assuming they had the parts. I would imagine you can expect no less than a week and maybe closer to 2 weeks given both a burner and bottom shell requires the laptop to be completely open. Hope it helps
Oh, this was also at an Apple store. Obviously expect a few more day to a week for shipping both ways if you have to send it versus dropping it off.

  • Avg. turnaround time: App submissions to Amazon (Kindle Fire)?

Anyone had much experience with submitting apps to Amazon Marketplace for Android (Kindle Fire)?
Curious to know: What's the average turnaround time for review/approval (presuming the app isn't rejected after review)? For Apple, we generally cite 1-2 weeks.
    Josh

Average time is 3-5 days. Sometimes Amazon says that they need more time to review the App (I presume that that's when they find any concern) so I've seen them take upto 9 days on some apps.

  • Calculate turnaround time

Need to be able to to calculate difference between two date columns (ex: In the RFI module calculate turnaround time between start and answer date). BI publisher seems to use the datediff function but i was not able to change the XML code. The process requires conversion from date to integer and then do the subtraction but still i was not successful in running it.
    Thank you

In QA32 its not possible but you can create a Customized report with such dates & there difference. Now somewhere you have to enter the date of sampling .You can enter date may be date format in the QA02--->short text.
Customize the prog which will convert this text into date & then give you the actual differnce when UD is taken.
Apart from this there is no std report

  • Custom Build Turnaround Time?

Ordered late Wednesday evening (6:15 or so PST), and have only received an "order acknowledged" notification via e-mail(whatever that means).
Says estimated delivery will be between today and the 6th of May, but I was curious if anyone had any insight on how long it usually takes for a BTO to get to the shipping stage? I have a 2-3 day shipping, so once it's on a truck, I've got a good idea of when to expect it, but not really sure when they're planning on putting it on said truck.
    Thanks for your insight.

I've had pretty mixed results with BTO machines I've purchased in the past month. I've had some machines that arrive within 72 hours and others that have taken over a week. You'll get another email once the unit has been shipped and with that tracking # can then gauge delivery.
The last 17" MBP I ordered (on Monday) still has not shipped from China but I ordered 2, i7 15" units on Tuesday and both are scheduled for delivery today and had longer lead times when originally ordered.

  • What's the turnaround time on purchasing more folio downloads?

I was curious how long the process takes to buy more folio downloads. Does anyone one have a rough time frame from when they click 'Purchase More Folio Downloads' in the DPS Dashboard to when those downloads appear in the DPS Dashboard?
Also, what is your perferred method of buying folio downloads? Adobe representive? Reseller? Can you buy directly online?
We are currently publishing a monthly magazine with DPS Professional Annual Edition. We have 1200 downloads left from the initial 5000 and burn through about 1000 a month.
Thanks in advance for any help!

a brody, thanks for your quick reply. Although you might get a different impression from my post, I am patient All I ask for is to honestly state the time a publication may take. I come to the conclusion that the talk about "approximately 5 days" is complete eyewash!

  • Book printing turnaround time(Canada) and general sharpening question

    Hi,
I am nearly finished a book in Aperture and have a couple of questions, one specific to Canada and another, more general question.
For those in Canada(or anybody else's experiences), how long does it take for the book to be published and sent out to you? My book project is to be a christmas gift and I would like to order one copy to proof, but if the turnaround is really long, then I would just order all the copies I need and hope everything turns out satisfactory.
The second concerns sharpening. Since the images are resized for the individual use on a page, how do you optimize the sharpening? Is it better to oversharpen, or resize and sharpen each image prior to placing in the book?
Thanks for any and all help. This is a first book so any other comments or suggestions would be appreciated!
    Scott

Perhaps I can help with the first question. I tried the same approach and was quite happy with the first book quality; however, when I ordered several of the same book a few weeks later, I was very unhappy with the color casts and how they differed from the original book I had printed. The moral of the story is that the print quality is highly variable between printings.

  • Turnaround Time to Implement Business Packages

    Hello,
I am looking to find some benchmarking material on what it takes to download and implement with data loaded from backend system a 'out of the box' Business Package.
    Any info would be helpful.
    regards,
    Tom/

    Hi Volker,
This comment was part of document - Business Process Monitoring Set-up and User Guideline for Release ST 4.0 and ST-SER 700_2007_1.
3 Prerequisites for Business Process Monitoring
Business Process Monitoring is not just activated by pressing a button in the SAP Solution Manager and
therefore the configuration of Business Process Monitoring is currently not intended as a customer selfservice.
Instead, the procedure to set up Business Process Monitoring in the SAP Solution Manager is rather
realized by the delivery of the SAP Solution Management Optimization (SMO) Service for Business
Process Management due to the complex nature of the overall configuration of Business Process Monitoring.
However, it is possible (but not recommended) for customers to configure Business Process Monitoring by
themselves without any guidance of SAP.
    Thanks.
