Scenario in script

Dear sir,
I am doing a script : The scenario is in first page i need to bring the header and item informations in main window and header. In the next page i need to print the some characters(Some terms and conditions). In the third page i need to print the remaining items of the first page, followed by the terms and conditions page as 4th page.
I am clear with the first and third page. But how to bring a page without main window and header information. When i execute i am getting : Output is continuous or contains too many pages
(>4).
Kindly suggest me a solution.

In this type of scenario I will do like this...
I wil take a Very Long text and pass the TERMS & CONDITIONS in it accordingly,
Note: There will be no HARD CODING in the script... Everything passed throught Variables...
Now I declare the condition here,,!
Loop Itab index 1 to 3.

count = 1.
endloop.
write form...
If count eq 1.
"Terms & Conditions"
Else
Line Items.
endif.
count = 0.
Loop Itab index 4 to 6.
if sy-tabix eq 3.
count = 1.
endloop.
You can work on this logic more clearly,,, Surely it will help.
when situation is worst, copy itab to new itab and delete records while looping and print ...
I mean Use TEXT ELEMENTS & Pass the relavant data from Program itself...

There is no ready made solution to this. What you have to do is..
a)what is the Proposed Process for the customer.List all the elemental details and it is objectives..like Data input and its expected out put results. I give you one simple example.
Assume that customer is using Resource Availability with Efficiency and utilization consideration. You need to validate the data input and data calculation on this.
Like wise, you need to identify the each elemental activities that forms your proposed Process ; Based on that Propose the test scripts.How ever you can make to test all the functionality of the ASCP and infarct it may not work 100% as well.So go with Business Process and form the test scripts.

Replace missing fonts in eps files with scripts...how

I have 1900 eps files with multiple missing fonts. I need to replace this fonts with some avaiable in system. Where I can find some script for this scenario? Script which can trigger "find font/change all" or similar. Actions dont work.

What OS are your servers running ? UX, a rsh-like would be the most obvious solution (or a more secured remote feature, ask your admins about that) ... For windows, I know there is a sysinternal tool that allows you to invoke scripts remotely ...

Business Script:
Integrated Business Scenarios are events, transactions, and information, including reports, that are required to run the business. They are an ordered sequence of Business Process Scripts that represent a typical situation that occurs within the business. Integrated Business Scenarios cut across subsystems and business processes to form an integrated view of the functionality.
An Integrated Business Scenario can be functionally-based or time-based. For example, Customer Order Processing is a functionally-based Integrated Business Scenario and Month-End Processing is a time-based Integrated Business Scenario.
For each Integrated Business Scenario, prepare a brief one or two sentence description of the scenario.
The Integrated Business Scenarios will be used to:
· determine what functionality the selected package should provide,
· determine how the package provides the functionality,
· determine what functionality will need to be addressed in another manner, such as a manual procedure,
· serve as the requirements for the new system,
· serve as input into the creation of system test scenarios.
The Integrated Business Scenarios are the features to be supported by the system; they normally do not include edits, calculations, or detailed processing logic.
Identify Preliminary Business Process Scripts
Start identifying the Preliminary Business Process Scripts.
The Business Process Scripts are the steps required to perform a specific function within a business process. For example, the business process Purchase Order Processing may include scripts for Creating a PO, Approving a PO, Releasing a PO, etc.
Use Process Flowcharts, Use Cases, or Integration Definition Model 0 (IDEF0) to graphically represent the steps in the scripts and to graphically show which Business Process Scripts are used within each Integrated Business Scenario.

Tips and Hints
Most organizations have about 20 major business processes.
Start with business model diagrams developed during Strategic Systems Planning or Enterprise Wide Architecture Strategy activities.
Create a list of questions to help determine the specific requirements during customer interviews.
Defining the Business Process Scripts and the Integrated Business Scenarios are often done in parallel with each other. It is usually an iterative procedure to identify all of the necessary Business Process Scripts and Integrated Business Scenarios.
If a package has already been selected, this task should still be done in its entirety so that the requirements are well defined. Don't be influenced by the capabilities of the package; critical requirements not met by the package may exist.
Use a tool such as a spreadsheet or a database to help track and maintain the business process scenarios and scripts. CASE tools and workflow tools are useful to maintain and graphically depict the business processes, scenarios and scripts. If a package has already been selected, a tool may be available that works in conjunction with the selected package.

Access to the ES Workplace SCM System?

Hello,
I use the HU2 SAP ERP 2005 ECC 600 system for developing different scenarios combining scripting languages and SAP. For further tests, I tryed to logon to the HU8 SAP SCM 5.0 system but my password doesn't work. It doesn't work for the HU5 and HU6 system also.
Do I have to register through another form for an SCM account, or is something else wrong there?
PS:
The password was reseted several times and I tryed to contact the ES Workplace
support team without any success.

Not able to get all the results if i use "get-spdeletedsite" command

Hi everyone,
I am not able to get all the results when I use the below powershell command.
get-spdeletedsite -limit all
It is giving me only one site, but infact we have more than 100 deleted sites.
If I use the normal command like below it is giving the below output
get-spdeletedsite
Can any one tell me, how can I get all the deleted sites ?

Hi Anil,
For the Limit parameter of Get-SPDeletedSite cmdlet, when we specify its value to ALL, it will return all site collections for the given scope.
For your scenario, the script “Get-SPDeletedSite –Limit ALL” will return all deleted site collections in your SharePoint environment.
If you want to get all deleted site, you can export the result to csv as below:
Get-SPDeletedSite | export-csv out.csv -notypeinformation

Powerview modifying a calculated measure in SSAS cube

We are running SQL Server 2012 and Sharepoint 2013 we are having problems with Powerview modifying a calculated measure in the underlying multidimensional cube. We have a powerview report with multiple pages that allows a user to utilize a global filter
to view the financial performance of particular customers on multiple reports/pages. When the user picks a different customer, one of the calculated measures, in this case gross margin percent, is essentially stuck. It does not change when the customer selection
changes. It remains the gross margin percent as the previous customer. All of the other measures change appropriately. Measures such as sales, expenses, ebitda and the other measures that are columns in the relational sql server db feeding the cube are fine.
Only the calculated measures defined in ssas are not working. I then tested the molap cube on a clean connection to a new excel sheet and was shocked to find that the same value the power view report is stuck on is also displayed in the excel file! It
has essentially modified the data in the cube! The only way to clear the value and display the correct calculation is to re deploy the cube. Any one here know what to do to resolve this?

According to your description, you create a PowerView report using SSAS cube as the data source in SharePoint site, the problem is that when changing the selection in the global filter, it change the calculated measure in the underlying multidimensional
cube, right?
In your scenario, which script are you using when creating this calculated measure? Generally, report is used to display data from underlying database, it's really strange that the PowerView report change the calculated measure in the underlying multidimensional
cube.

Unexpected behavior of Foreach Loop in SSIS 2012

I have come across the unexpected behavior of Foreach Loop in SSIS 2012. While testing package for invalid folder (path asdf:\Vishal_Work does not exists in this case) for source files.
I observed that the control does not enters into Foreach Loop, but also it does not fails the task. The task Foreach Loop runs successfully, though folder was invalid.
The package did not throw any warning regarding invalid folder, but for the unmatched file pattern.
My concern is ‘why Foreach Loop in SSIS did not failed even if folder was invalid or not exists?’

The warning is "The For Each File enumerator is empty. The For Each File enumerator did not find any files that matched the file pattern, or the specified directory was empty."
The warning message states the specified directory was empty, though it does not extists.
We can handle this scenario through script task easily, but I really wonder why Foreach loop does not validate the folder. It is loophole in Foreach loop?
I would not classify it as loophole. I actually agree with Russ, it was a design decision on the side of the development team.

How-to: Disable syncing of document library for individual users or groups

Currently, as far as I know, disabling syncing for a document library is all or nothing - everyone with access can sync, or nobody can sync.
Ideally, there would be an independent list permission, "disable syncing," which appears when assigning permissions to a permission level. (Syncing is allowed by default if access to document library is granted, opposed to an alternative
approach of having "enable syncing" which would set the default the other way).
Given that this level of granularity is not provided out of the box (yet?),
is there any way (SPD?) to disable syncing for individuals? (Or to disable syncing for the entire library, then enable syncing to individual users? Depends on who there is more of, 'syncers' or 'nonsyncers'.)
* I know that syncing can be disabled across the board. This is not an option.
(2) "Open with Explorer" seems to be tied in with syncing, disabling syncing disables "Open with Explorer". Is there a way to keep "Open with Explorer" functionality while disabling syncing?

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to disable sync option in library.
To disable sync option, and keen the open with explore option, we can use the JavaScript to achieve it.
I have made a code demo below to disable sync option for a particular user, it works like a charm, you can modify it to fit your scenario.

Can the target system in the REF command dynamically be specified?

Hello all,
I have a main script which calls additional other scripts in different target systems (according to a defined system landscape). So far so good. Now when I have another system landscape in place, it's very likely that I have to handle other target systems.
With the REF command I can call these other eCatt scripts but how can I dynamically specify the target system? According to the eCatt team this is not possible. Does anyone of you have an idea how I can have a workaround? Is there a BADI / Userexit etc. which I can use?
I want to avoid to work with version, because I would duplicate the script. When you maintain one place you also have to remember the other versions you have.

I suggest to keep the target system at the REF command (since that anyway should have a name which qualifies the role of your system instead of system name, e.g. ERP or CRM or SCM ).
To change the landscape you can exchange what makes up the landscape: your system data container.
Sample:
1) SCRIPT "Scenario" call SCRIPT "Create_Order" in system CS1 which is CRM system
2) SCRIPT "Scenario" call SCRIPT "Check_Replicated_Order" in system ER1 which would be ERP system
As long as you are about to code the scripts:
- Have a system data container SD_DEV
- Define system CRM with rfc-destination to CS1 and ERP with rfc to ER1
- In your scripts only use the terms ERP and CRM
-> REF ( Create_Order, CRM ).
-> REF ( Check_Replicated_Order , ERP ).
Once you come to test another landscape:
- Simple copy SDC SD_DEV to SD_TEST_LANDSCAPE1
- Exchange only the rfc destinations to have ERP and CRM point to new systems
(don't modify the existing destination, since you will need them still)
Now start your Script "Scenario" with System data container SD_TEST_LANDSCAPE1 on start screen or even assign the system data container name in Test organizer at test package level.
This is the way you can switch landscapes very easily. It only requires to use logical target system names from the beginning.

Installing printer drivers on x86 and x64 OS clients from print server

I have a print server win 2008 r2 with some printers installed on it including x86 and x64 drivers.
1. I wanted to install printer drivers on x86 and x64 CLIENT OS (win 7/8 ) from the print server.
2. This installation should in in backend(hide mode). While installing it should not pop up on user desktop for installation.
Could any one help me with a simple script. So i can get a get a idea.
I was using bellow script but it displays on desktop before installation.

It will add all printerdrivers from shared printerobjects from a printer server.

My scenario is File to File
In this I need to pick Files from two different Directories on different systems: Sys1 and Sys2
In Sys1 i have 7 Files File1 to File7
In sys2 i have 8 Files File 8 to File14 and File_EOPM
Now <B>I need to merge File1 to File5 in one File say File_new and transform my file File6 into say File_new2</b>
Condition is when File_EOPM is uploaded in my Sys2 Directory then the Files should be transferred to Receiver file Directory RCVR
In RCVR i shud have the following Files
File _new
File_new2
File8 to File14
File_EOPM.
Hope I made my requirements clear
Please advice me whether this can be done w/o BPM?
Also help me in developing dis scenario

Well here is the design which i can think of
You can have a total of 3 scenarios
Scenario 1:will have a OS script executing before message processing,this script will keep on looking for file File_EOPM,if this file exist,it will activate the sender file communication channel to transfer the file File_EOPM to RCVR directory(Simple file to file scenario),the script will also activate the sender file communication channels for scenario 2 and scenario 3.
Scenario 2:this will collect files File 1 to File 6 via BPM,its sender file communication channel will remain in inactive state,this will only be activated externally by the script of Scenario 1.
Scenario 3:This will send rest of the files to RCVR directory,even this sender file communication channel will remain in inactive state,this will only be activated externally by the script of Scenario 1.
You dont have to create separate scenarios for all the above though,just create all of them within one scenario,i have split them in 3 separate scenario for ease of understanding

Start-Process ignores the parameter "-wait" with explorer.exe

maybe it´s a stupid question, but...
Start-Process notepad.exe -Wait
...will wait for closing the process "notepad.exe".
Start-Process explorer.exe -Wait
...will not wait for closing it, instead the script will go on.
My question: Why? :) is it because "explorer.exe" is a core element of Windows and there are more then one process? For whaty exactly is the parameter "-wait" waiting for? Finishing the process name, the Process ID?
is it a bug?
Otherwise, do you have a good idea for that scenario:
a script will be started and opens a dedicated network share. Within this share the user (ServiceDesk Employee) can paste a CSV file, and after closing the Explorer, the script will read in this CSV and import that informations.

I think the issue is due to explorer.exe is always running, if you stop that process, then you will lose your entire desktop. By opening File Explorer, a new explorer.exe process does not start up. You can verify this by opening task manager, and under the
process tab, look at your process count, and then open a few File Explorer windows, this count does not change.
Your script may need to be a two step process, where the Help Desk user manually copies the CSV file, then runs the script, or you can do a Read-Host, where they put in the path to the CSV file, and then your script can copy it to where it needs to go, and
then continue its execution.
