Scene not being found AS3

Question

hi i have a button with a function of a gotoAndStop but when it is clicked this output error appears:
ArgumentError: Error #2108: Scene 1 was not found.
at flash.display::MovieClip/gotoAndStop()
at fixing_fla::iconInterface_mc_4/home()
Here is the code i am using:
phoneIcon_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, home);
function home (event:MouseEvent):void{
gotoAndStop("1", "1");
when i use scene 1 instead of 1 in the gotoAndStop function the error is the same but chanes to "..Scene Scene 1 was not found...)
Please urgent help is required thanks

if you only have one scene why are you specifying a scene in your gotoAndPlay()? 
in addition, if you have more than 1 scene that you want to designate in a gotoAndPlay(), the frame number/label is the first parameter and the 2nd is the scene name.
your question in message 4 doesn't make sense in view of the problems listed in messages 1 and 3.  i'm not sure if that's a 2nd problem or that information has something to do with the problems in messages 1 and 3.
i'll assume it's a 2nd unrelated question (otherwise, you're very confused about scenes).  so, to solve your first problem just use the frame number or label:
function HOME(event:MouseEvent):void{
               // directs the timeline that contains this code to its first frame:
               gotoAndPlay(1);
                                   removeEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, HOME);
