Scheduled Jobs in EBS 11i

Hi,
How do I list all the "scheduled jobs" in our EBS 11i ?
I want to audit those made by the functionals to check if they made it right.
Right now, I logged as SYSADMIN > System Administrator > Reguests > View
I can see pending scheduled reguest like:
OAM Applications Dashboard Collection
Requestor > Sysadmin
Run > Every 10 min
Interval > From the completion of the prior run
Schedule > Periodic
Workflow Background Process
Requestor > Sysadmin
Run > Every 5 min
Interval > From the start of the prior run
Schedule > PeriodicMy question is:
1. Did the functional people scheduled these jobs?
2. Are the time intervals appropriate?
3. Compare the 1st and 2nd invervals
3.1 The first will fire new one after the previous is completed, so there can only 1 process at a time.
3.2 The 2nd will fire new process (after 5 min) even if the previous processes are still running. So there can be infinite processes? Is this correct? or should I change it?4. How can I view all the scheduled jobs using the sysadmin responsibility?
Please assist....
Thanks a lot
MsK

  • EBS 11i  After Installation login username and password

    Hi ! I installed oracle EBS 11i on windows xp. I want to login to EBS but dont know the default administrator/sysadmin username and password. Any guru to help me please.

    Hi Naveed,
    Oracle Applications 11i being a vast product. You need to first determine what you want to learn in this product.
    1. Oracle Applicaitons Technology(Job Role = Apps DBA / Sys admin)
    2. Oracle Applications Functional (Job role = Functional Consultant)
    Once you decide the path, it is easier to find relevant information. About the modules you are learn via the Apps Documentation available on OTN. Also search for blogs dedicated to Apps technology or functional areas that interest you.
    The other way is to join an Institute which trains for a specific job role you are looking for.
    Hope this helps.

  • EBS 11i (11i.10.2) Data Guard Switchover testing with Database 10gR2.

    In my new job, I have to test DG switchover and with EBS 11i.
    I know the database switchover part very well, but I don't know what needs to be done for 11i applications after switching from primary server to the standby server.
    Please guide me what steps/procedures needs to be followed to switchover 11i applications to the standby site after the database switched over to standby database?
    Both the database and the 11i applications installed on primary Linux server and the same architecture on the separate secondary Linux server.

    Hi Frank,
    Thanks for the reply. I am using it as an inline popup. I am trying to create command links dynamically in an iterator. When a link is clicked a popup window opens. The text of the link is passed to the popup window by creating a variable in the session scope ( I even tried request scope) by an action listener in the backing bean.
    I tried to create another simple application with a static command button which passes its text to popup window through a session scope variable. It worked fine. I am not sure why the same procedure is not working in my original application. Can you give me a hint what could possibly go wrong according the exception stack trace ?
    Thanks,
    KK

    This behavior is seen in most of the lookups when we try to search for value.
    Please let me know for any configuration steps for the same issue.

    Have you tried restarting the db and the server? I have seen this on user search and a db restart along with server restart solved it for me. Also note that this error in my case was due to wrong mds file. so for you also check ur tasks and any custom xml which might have some errors into it.

  • KM Scheduler job

    Hi
    I created several KM scheduler jobs.
    The problem is that they are running in the context of Guest user, and i could find any way to change this.
    Because of that when i try to call new InitialContext () for calling some remote ejbs i get caller not autorized.
    So does somebody know how i can change this?
    Florin

    hi,
    if you ejb connect to backend, you need to configure an service user who has authorized to call
    the rfc functions in R/3.
    Kind regards

    I have created a report with "Order Date" as one of the parameters on the selection screen. I have created a variant, say 'X' , to set this date parameter dynamiccaly as "Current date - 31 days".
    I have scheduled this program to run in background with the 'X' variant daily at certain time.
    Now, for the day on which I created this job , the Order Date is set to correct date . For ex if I am scheduling the job tdy it will be set to 06/10/08. However, for next day , that is tom this date is not getting changed. i.e Tommorrow again Order date is 06/10/08 but it should have been 07/10/08.
    So basically this dynamically set date is not chaning in the scheduled job.
    Any idea why this is happening and what is the corrective measure for this.
    Thanks!

    There is an INITIALIZATION event in the program.......
    Do the processing your date in that event only....
    for ex....
    select-options: date for order-date.
    INITIALIZATION.
    date-low = sy-datum or wat ever.
    Thanks
    Saurabh

  • Troubled to get scheduler job to run?

    Hi all friends:
    I'm having trouble getting any scheduler jobs (here, troubled job name is CUSTMASTER_CHANGES_01) to actually run.
    when
    sql>select job_name,state,enabled,retry_count,failure_count,run_count,restartable,start_date,repeat_interval,job_class
    from all_scheduler_jobs;
    JOB_NAME STATE ENABL RETRY_COUNT FAILURE_COUNT RUN_COUNT RESTA START_DATE REPEAT_INTERVAL JOB_CLASS
    CUSTMASTER_CHANGES_01 SCHEDULED TRUE 0 0 0 FALSE 14-JAN-08 09.46.14.6 FREQ=SECONDLY;I SCANNER_JO
    72965 AM AMERICA/NEW NTERVAL=5 B_CLASS
    _YORK
    for job 'CUSTMASTER_CHANGES_01'
    we can see RUN_COUNT 0 and restartable false.
    I upped slave processes to 5. dbms_scheduler.run_job('CUSTMASTER_CHANGES_01') works, but it's still not executing on the schedule
    when run as sysdba
    SQL> exec dbms_scheduler.run_job('CUSTMASTER_CHANGES_01');
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-27475: "SYS.CUSTMASTER_CHANGES_01" must be a job
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_ISCHED", line 150
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SCHEDULER", line 441
    ORA-06512: at line 1
    to resolve that,
    we found
    When you create your job by using dbsm_scheduler, it has a parameter called ‘auto_drop’, is by default, =’true’, like, auto_drop => TRUE
    see below;
    dbms_scheduler.create_job(
    job_name IN VARCHAR2,
    job_type IN VARCHAR2,
    job_action IN VARCHAR2,
    number_of_arguments IN PLS_INTEGER DEFAULT 0,
    start_date IN TIMESTAMP WITH TIME ZONE DEFAULT NULL,
    repeat_interval IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT NULL,
    end_date IN TIMESTAMP WITH TIME ZONE DEFAULT NULL,
    job_class IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT 'DEFAULT_JOB_CLASS',
    enabled IN BOOLEAN DEFAULT FALSE,
    auto_drop IN BOOLEAN DEFAULT TRUE,
    comments IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT NULL);
    The job you manually run once and then it drops itself when you test.
    so I am specifiying auto_drop to be false, but it is showing it has true as the attribute.
    DBMS_SCHEDULER.CREATE_JOB(
    job_name => scanner.scanner_name,
    job_type => 'PLSQL_BLOCK',
    job_action => 'BEGIN IF EEG_SCAN.GET_RUNNING_JOBS_COUNT('
    ||''''||UPPER(scanner.scanner_name)||''''
    ||') < 2 THEN '||scanner.scanner_proc_name||'; END IF; END;',
    repeat_interval => 'FREQ=SECONDLY;INTERVAL=5',
    job_class => c_job_class_name,
    auto_drop => FALSE,
    enabled => true
    scheduler job is still not working as expected.....?
    Can you help me for this??
    thanks a lot in advance.

    Hi,
    There are a few other limits you could check .
    Make sure that you have not exceeded the maximum number of sessions or the maximum number of processes or the maximum number of scheduler jobs
    select * from dba_scheduler_global_attribute;
    and
    select name,value from v$parameter where name like '%process%';
    select name,value from v$parameter where name like '%session%';
    Also check how many jobs are currently running
    select count(*) from dba_scheduler_running_jobs;
    select count(*) from dba_jobs_running ;
    select count(*) from v$session ;
    One of these limits may need to be increased.
    The run_job succeeds because it runs in the current session by default, if you use use_current_session=>false, does it still work ?
    Also auto_drop only drops the job when it has completed e.g. past its end_date or exceeded its max_runs.
    Finally note that there is a dedicated forum for dbms_scheduler located here
    Scheduler
    Hope this helps,
    Ravi.

  • Checking status of scheduled jobs in Hyperion System 9.3.1 ....

    Hi All,
    We have Hyperion System 9 9.3.3. We have a Daily job scheduled every morning to check the status of the scheduled jobs that run daily. One of the jobs has a status message as below.
    Failure - Internal error.ContainerCache.populate: The object "0000011386a6823b-0000-a99f-0a103a4a" is not found. It either does not exists, or it may be inaccessible.
    But when I check the job status in View Job Status > Job Scheduler module, I see the report is still running. It's just that this report is taking longer to run and completes some time after the Daily Job Status check report runs.
    In this case, shouldn't the status should say something like the job is still running instead of "Failure" which is misleading?
    Thanks in advance.
    Z

    Hi,
    I have the same problem with Oracle EPM 11.1.2:
    com.sqribe.transformer.ObjectNotFoundException: ContainerCache.populate: The object "0000012f0710ca12-0000-a4ad-c0a80003" is not found. It either does not exists, or it may be inaccessible.
    Who gives me the right answer?
    Thanks in advance, Ron

  • Background Processing? how schedule job for "System Error" Message .

    Hello everyone,
    in sap help i have read.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/5a/f72040599a8f5ce10000000a155106/frameset.htm
    PCK> Monitoring>Message Monitoring-->Background Processing
    you can schedule jobs for various background processing:
    ●     Archiving of messages processed successfully
    ●     Deletion of messages that are not to be archived
    ●     Restarting of messages with errors
    ●     Rescheduling of lost messages
    can anyone understand this docu?
    give me some introduction, how can i define and schedule these jobs ?
    thx in advance!!
    best regards
    Yaning

    Background Processing
    Prerequisites
    You have started the message monitor on the initial screen of the PCK and are in Background Processing.
    Features
    Archiving
    You require two archiving sessions to archive messages:
    ●     One session to write the messages to the archive
    ●     One session to delete the persisted messages that have been archived
    To do this, you schedule an archiving job, which implicitly schedules the sessions to write to the archive and delete the archived messages.
    You can define one or more rules for each archiving job; these rules contain conditions that a message must meet in order to be archived by the job. At least one of the defined rules must be met for archiving to take place.
    All information that is displayed for a message in message monitoring is archived, in addition to the audit log for each message.
    Deleting
    A standard delete job is created automatically. It runs once a day. You can schedule additional delete jobs; however, you cannot define rules for them.
    Restarting
    Instead of restarting messages with errors manually with message monitoring, you can schedule a job to automatically restart these messages. This is possible for all messages for which the number of defined restart attempts has been exceeded (messages with the system error status).
    You can define one or more rules for each job to restart messages; these rules contain conditions that a message must meet in order to be restarted by the job. At least one of the defined rules must be met for archiving to take place.
    Rescheduling
    A standard job to reschedule messages is created automatically. The job runs once a day and ensures that messages lost as a result of database failure, for example, are rescheduled. You can schedule additional rescheduling jobs; however, you cannot define rules for them.
    Thx Aamir.
    But I mean the messages with errors in Adapter Engine , not in Intergrations Engine.
    the situation is like Naveen Pandrangi's WebLog
    II. Errors in Adapter Engine [XI :  How to Re-Process failed XI Messages Automatically|XI :  How to Re-Process failed XI Messages Automatically]
    I
    Till now we have seen how to resubmit/restart message that failed in Integration Engine.  One a message makes it from Integration Engine to Adapter Engine, the message is flagged as checked in Integration Engine. The status of the message in Adapter engine does not effect the processed state in Integration Engine. Now if this message was asynchronous, XI will by default try to restart the message 3 times at intervals of 5 minutes before the status of the message is changed from Waiting to System Error .
    *how can i schedule a job to automatically restart these messages with errors?
    best regards

  • How to schedule job?

    Hello All,
    i have a few questions about jobs (scheduling jobs)
    I want to run one procedure at 7:00 A.M and I want to stop this procedure at 12:30 PM on Daily basis.Is it possible with DBMS_JOB? I don't know how to stop running job at specified time.
    I m using Oracle 9i on Linux

    Hi,
    Your best bet is probably to schedule a second job to run at 12:30pm every day and execute the stop. To do the stop you will probably need to figure out the session and terminate the session (google for stopping dbms_job).
    In 10gR2 and up dbms_scheduler (the replacement for dbms_job) can handle this scenario in a much more striahgtforward way (generate an event if the job exceeds a max_run_duration and have the event trigger a second job to snipe the first using a stop_job call).

  • How to schedule job under dbms_job??

    Hello,
    How would i go about scheduling a dbms job ?? All i have is the schema name and a procedure that i need to schedule. It need to run every night at midnight...i was said everything is ready in the procedure(some partitioning) of tables...i just need to put on dbms scheduler...how would i go about doing that?? schema name is syk2ws and the procedure name is maint....how can i put this on the dbms job ?? Do i need to tweak or do anything with the procedure ??

    Hi,
    You need to create a scheduler job which runs every night at midnight.
    You need to use the dbms_scheduler.create_job call.
    You can search online for examples or find Oracle's examples here
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28310/scheduse002.htm#i1006395
    There is a forum dedicated to dbms_scheduler here
