Schedules for certifications based on new SAP product versions?

Are there any schedules available that show when SAP certifications and related curriculum will be updated to newer product versions?
I also have a current requirement from an end user to find certifications and classes based on Crystal Reports 2013.  Everything I can find is based on the older version 2011.  Is there any schedule for availability based on the newer version?
Regards,
Derek Ewell

Hi Derek,
I am afraid I could not find any such handy information.
I would always refer to

for any updates and the latest certification / curriculum details.
Hope this helps.

  • Which SAP Product version to assign to a Logical Component in SMSY (SOLMAN)

    Dear SAP Colleagues,
In our SAP environment, we do have 2 versions of ERP systems :
    1. CON - SIF - CDP systems are 'SAP ERP Central Component 5.0' product version.
    2. CDD - CDT - CDP systems are 'SAP ECC 6.0' product version.
    Question :
When I want to assign these systems to a Z_LOGICAL_COMPONENTS, which product version do I have to choose ?
Example for CON - SIF - CDP systems :
    1. They are 'SAP ERP Central Component 5.0' product version.
    2. In SMSY in our SOLMAN system, logical component are created using
        'SAP ECC 5.0' product version.
Example for CDD - CDT - CDP systems :
    1. They are 'SAP ECC 6.0' product version.
    2. In SMSY in our SOLMAN system, logical component are created using
       'SAP ECC 6.0' product version.
    Question :
What about 'SAP ERP 2004' and 'SAP ERP 6.0' product version ?
In which case must I use this product version to assign CON-SIF-CPS
or CDD-CDT-CDP to new Logical components ?
Are they OSS Note or any matrix which give me the right product version to choose ?
I have heard that 'SAP ECC x.x' product version should not used any longer ?
    Thanks
    Best regards
    P.C

    Hi,
Read the following document, the mapping for systems and component versions is described in here:
    https://websmp202.sap-ag.de/~sapdownload/011000358700000074392009E/SP18_SolMan_Setup_Guide_V2.pdf
For ECC 6.0 you should select ERP 6.0

When last preview became a production version ?
Do you have resolve problem of physically delete java file, when a file is removed from a Project ?
    Regards

In 10.1.3 the way JDeveloper manages the project content has changed.
Details about the new (and improved) way are in this document:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/101/collateral/101/migratingjdeveloperprojectsto1013.pdf
The way to eliminate files from showing up in your project in the developer preview is with the working set feature.
In production we'll make it easier with a button that does this automtaically for you.

  • T420 or for the matter all new Thinkpad products losing quality/ Flimsy

Well once a proud owner of many thinkpads, starting with the first 386 version during my pre primary years, onto the t43 series, to the t60p series, to the t400 an t500 models  and now an owner of a t420. i must say that over the last 12 months the quality in comparison to the other models prior to this one shows as a disgrace to the fall of grace of a once well known quality brand the Thinkpad.
Let me tell you, within the last 12 months of use i had my ejection mechanism fall out off place an non repairable on the cdrom , i was surprised at this. one of my battery lock in clips have come off, this is just through normal use, to and from work.My keys on the keyboard are getting how shoul i put it not responsive due... it as all come down to a cheap piece of crap for a Thinkpad T series model.
On another note when i had to upgrade my memory modules, i was dumb founded by the number of screws in comparison to the previous models of the once great T series line. I could also say that having an electronics engineering background. having a look at the circuitry, the Quality control is almost non existant. I noticed NOTICABLE rework on the motherboard, misaligned IC chips, solder balls between the legs. ... Just surprised at the level of **bleep**iness that i have notice a once true quality product degrade to.
IN ESSENCE I have gone back to my good old T60P bought a SSD hard drive for that. LENOVO THINKPADS once a CHOICE FOR ME. The t420 will most probably be the last that i will get. I look towards Dell Precision series.
I hope LENOVO turns back and allow quality to be once again the norm for the Thinkpad T series.
On another note, this is not only myself complaining about this. matter. I work for a well known telecommunications company within Australia. And they have made the shift to Dell Precisions due to the fact of low quality issues with the T series... Unfortunate

The conventional laptop market isn't growing, so manufacturers are squeezing as much out of the components as possible. Shareholders won't stand for non-growth, so you're stuck with the trend.

  • Automation of scheduling for performance-based planning

    Colleagues,
I've got a question regarding automation option for skipping calls upon measurement document reading update.
    So, scenario as follows
MP with strategy (activity) is scheduled with 1K, 5K, 10K hours with surpressing hierarchies 1,2,3 accordingly. Initial counter reading is 0, estimated ann perf- 20K. So, we schedule IP10 which gives us all scheduled-on-hold's for 365 days of scheduling period.
Once I enter 5600 reading measurement doc, the batch would generate four 1K calls and one 5K one..They want the system automatically skip those calls in background and get only one 5K order, avoiding redundant four 1K' ones..
I don't see much of room for maneuver for automatic scheduling in PM..
    Any suggestions??
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
(that's me who initiated the thread-service marketplace was messing with my last name)
They've got elaborated on the scenario and aforementioned user exit perfectly serves the purpose of restarting cyclees with offset when late reading is entered, skipping the redundant calls.. However, in that particular scenario described below that wouldn't help..
so, the requirement is as follows:
    1.minor/mayor PM every 750h and 1500h accordingly
    2. three different overhauls (at 15000, 30000, 60000H accordingly)
    3. 500h inspection after each overhaul
After 60500H the cycle should start all over
the sutuation is worsen by the fact that I should create 5 different plans, since every maintenance pack has different call horizons..
    So, we have
    1.  plan #1 for 500H inspections with call horizon 100%, strategy offset '500'
    2. single plan#2  for minor/mayor PM with call horizon 67%, strategy offset '1250' for minor PM and '2000' for major PM
    3. plan#315K overhaul1 with call horizon 93%,
    4. plan#4 30K overhaul1 with call horizon 90%
    5. plan#5 60K overhaul1 with call horizon 95%
I have two strategies: one for inspections and minor/mayor PM, another-for overhauls, both strategies using supressing hierarchies..
I was using offset and 'restart'  and 'start-in-cycle'  those plans..
after first 15K overhaul package completed:
    plans #1 and 2 are restarted with latest counter reading using function u2018Restartu2019;
Plans #3,4,5, are restarted with latest counter reading using function u2018Start in cycleu2019, selecting the relevant timeframe (i.e. offset shall be set before next due call on relevant cell in package sequence ruler)
Just wanted to double check with you whether you guys got any suggestions or recommendations..
    Appreciate it!!

  • Can any one help me  with SAP product version information,

    1) NW04. Which has two subsequent versions:
    SAP Netweaver 2004
SAP Netweaver 2004S (Alias SAP Netweaver 7.0), for which one enhancement
    pack exists:
    - EHP1
    2) NW05. Which has one version:
SAP Netweaver 2005 (Contains ECC 6.0 / ERP 6.0), for which four
    enhancement packs exists:
    - EHP1
    - EHP2
    - EHP3
    - EHP4 (Available from 21.11.2008). EHP4 seems to exist in two flavors,
    "Easy adaptation", and "Continues Innovation"
    3) NW06 (Alias SAP Netweaver 7.1, currently in rampup phase)
    4) SAP Netweaver 7.2 (Available in 2009)
    First question:
The Netweaver Developer Studio (NWDS) seems to exist in two versions:
    - NWDS 7.0
    - NWDS 7.1 (As part of the Composit Environment / CE) Which SAP
Netweaver release(s) support the above NWDS versions?
    Second question:
Has anything changed in the graphical capabilities (such as the
availability of GUI controls, office integration, etc) between both NWDS
versions? If so, what are the major changes?
    Third question:
The CE environment contains development tools for SOA development.
Is it possible to use NWDS from the CE environment, without requirering
end-users to install the CE environment on their system?
    Fourth question:
Are there any differences in the graphical capabilities between NWDS
    Java and WebDynpro for Java.
    If so, which?
Are there any differences in the integration capabitlities (i.e. ABAP
dictionary info, help texts, search helps, messaging, etc) between
WebDynpro for Java and WebDynpro for ABAP?
    If so, which?

Have you got any answer for these questions

  • SAP Basis administrators role on new dimensional products like BW, EP, SRM

    Hello All,
I have been working as a SAP basis administrator and still fail to understand what are the main administrative roles as a SAP BASIS administrator on new dimentional products like BW, EP, SRM, MDM etc. aprt from installing them and basic security work.
The respective technical consultants are already present like BW consultant, EP consultant but in the intervies/job portals they ask a SAP Basis administrator for administrative experience on new dimentional products.
    Can anyone clear these doubts.
    Thank you

My opinion if it need for your enterprise (and you can learn it on sap courses for example) not problem to administrate this products, every BW or EP or SRM has a part of Basis adm. and every of them are on ABAP or JAVA ....  But special settings and configuring BW for example are under BW administartors protection...
It differs from the opportunities of Enterprises and knowledge of a particular person ...

  • LTP consider production version and not consider selection id for routing

    Dear guru.
I run mrp long term planning for a material.
The material have a production version linked to a specific bom and routing.
In trx OPU5 I have defined that the planning scenario consider a specific selection id for routing  , this routing is different from the  routing of production version.
The result is that for this material ltp donu2019t consider any routing and no evaluation activity is possible.
Do you know a solution in order that for LTP the system donu2019t consider production version and instead only consider OPU5 settings ?
    Thanks for your interesting.

    Dear CONS SAP,
Create a new planning scenario in T Code MS31 and then maintain the scheduling parameters for this planning scenario and
assign this selection Id and then execute and check.
    Check and revert

  • Do i need any SAP product

    Hi All,
I need some help to develop a SAP interface that can make communicate between SAP application and our application. I am pretty new to SAP. I have installed “PDK” and “Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver 2004”. I don’t have any other SAP product on my system.
Do I require any SAP product or SAP membership to perform these tasks or is it part of “SAP NetWeaver 2004”? Where from I can start if I m not SAP customer or partner?
    Regards,

    hi,
First you should become a SAP customer and implementation of SAP will be done. Only then SAP products can be used. However, it is not possible for you to download any SAP product and start using it immediately.

As I Have 8 Hours As transportation duration and I Can trans only 10000 per resource that have 8 Hours also as available capacity from 07:00:00 to
15:00:00 , SAP generate only one order regardless the quantity transferred
I have order quantity with 50000 , I expect five orders or one order but takes five days .

  • How to create production version for multiple BOM & Routing ?

    If I have 3 BOMs ( A, B & C ) and 2 Routing ( 1 & 2 ) for material XYZ then how then production version will be created ? I feel that there will be 6 PVs.
    combination of A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 & C2. but some one told me that  I have to create duplicate routing of 1 & 2
with number 3 & 4 and use it for bom B, and another duplicate Routing with number 5&6 and use it for BOM C.
in this case my PV data will be like this A1, A2, B3, B4, C5, C6.
Please guide me which way is correct. I feel that the first way is right, because in that case I have 2 routing in system, and in second way I have total 6 routings for that product. please guide me.

    Hi Archana
If you are doing component allocation with routing ,
routing for material 1  counter 1 you are choosing alternate Bom  1 or 2 for material.
similarly for Material 1 counter 2 you are choosing alternate Bom 1 0r 2 according to your choice
like this   3 routing groups will get created with each have 2 counters
if you allocate similar kind of material in one group in material allocation tab & you are going for component allocation it will assign one material bom.
second material bom will not get assigned to the operation.
if you are not going assign the component at the routing level than you can follow first process.
if you are planning to allocate components at routing level than you have to follow second process.
If have any more doubt kindly revert back with your query.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Different production Version in subcontraction process

    Dear SAP Experts,
We have created two different scheduling agreements for manufacturing of same Finished goods, plant & vendor through subcontracting using two different BOM activated through different production Versions with different set of components, But the system is picking up the Version available in the current Inforecords for both the agreements.
Kindly advise whether, any functionality available for picking up the right version designated for each scheduling agreement.
    Regards

    Dear Ravinder Kumar,
1.In case if you want to split the requirement's equally for 2 different sources say 2 different production versions you can
maintain the quota in MEQ1 for the % for 2 different production version.
2.Normally the system picksup the production version which is assigned in the Purchase Info Record in ME11 for sub-
    contracting type.
3.Production version can be controlled by lot size and validity date.Normally the first production version will be picked by the
system in case if both the production version falls under same validity date and lot size. You can use the option of locking the
production version and to check the results.

  • Automatic selection production version in MFBF

    Hello !
I have a material setted with Selection method = 2(Selection by production version) in Material Master, so, I have two production version: V001 & V002, the last one is locked for any usage.
I need automatic selection of production version in MFBF , but when I'm doing the confirmation the system show the screen of  production version selection  with two versions .
Do you know what is missing for automatic selection works ?
    Thanks a lot.
    Vero

    Hi Vernoica ,
Good Day , PV will be selected based on the lot size and the creation dates.
It will copy the PV (BOM & Routing ) based on Lot size or Explosion date you defind in MRP-4 view i.e. BOM selection ,BY -explosion date,1-lot size,2- by PV and 3 by PV only.
If you would like to get rid the selection of PV,
why dont you try created a production version than only go to material master change screen MM02 in MRP4 view and Select 2 at selection method field.
In the IMG (OPLD) for Order Type Dependent Parameters, the production version selection is already set to manual selection.  But the production version is always defaulted as version 1 which is the first one in the material master and is not asking to select the version at the time of converting the planned order to a production order!
You can also check settings in configue trans OPL8 to have routing selection set to automatic selection if you want to avoid placing routing versions in each individual material master. Just another way to look at it
Hope it will resolve your problem.

  • Determine production version in cross plant failed

    Hi folks:
I trying customizing and implementing a cross plant scenario:

Also, call transacction COR4 and  change "order type parameters" to : "automatic selection of production version" for both plants.
    But, i when run MPS ( MD41 / MD42 ) for material Mat001 in plant A02, production version is missing ( blank ).
    Any ideas?
    Someone has used badi MD_MODIFY_PRODVERS?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi All:
Well, I made a mistake. Do not update the selection method for the material in the planning plant.

  • Use of production versions

    Dear Masters,
I have two BOM's for one material.I have created production versions for the same.
1.I want to create two production orders using two BOM's? How to create ?
Also how we can use the production versions at the time of creting production orders using MD02 & MD04?We have Make To Stock strategy.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ram Kulkarni

    Hi Ram,
if u create production order by manullay, u can select production version manuulay by doing following settings.
    1. Goto OPL8 define production selection = Manual selection for your ordre type/plant combination
    2. Define Bom selection  method =   2 or 3  by production version.
while creating production order(Co01) system will ask u to select production version
    For MRP run,
system always select first  valid production version by default. Here u can define lotsize to select production version. And another way is u can define Quta arragement inthat u can define percentage quota for each production version.
while creating production order from planned order (MD04) system will copy the production version from the planned order.
    regards
    pradeep
