Overlapping Schedules in DAC(OBI Apps 7.9.6.1)

Hi,
I am facing an issue.
We have two schedules for data load. One vanilla and one customized from two different source containers. One is scheduled at 130AM and the other at 2AM. As per my knowledge, the second data load schedule request will be rejected as the first data load will be on going at 130. However, we have seen that the second data load is running once the first data load completes. My questions are :
1. Is this a polling/ refreshing mechanism through which DAC identifies previously rejected requests and runs them?
2. What is the impact on the DAC server if there is a mechanism like this?
As the two schedules belong to different teams, we are having this issue with scheduling.

Topic heading is starting an execution plan.It says,
"When the DAC server receives a request to start an execution plan, it performs a series of checks to verify that the execution plan can be started. It first checks that an execution plan with the requested name exists and that the execution plan is active. Next, it checks the status of the execution plan that last ran. If an execution plan is still running and the DAC server receives a request to start another execution plan, the request will be rejected. If an execution plan failed, a request to run the same execution plan again will be executed; however, a request to run a different execution plan will be rejected. If the execution plan that last ran completed successfully, a request to run a new execution plan will be executed."
Please let me know if I am thinking on the right line.

Informatica Error: Repository mismatch

Hi There,
Our server has been migrated from IBM to AT&T.
So they exported our production informatica repository and imported it into new environment, So testing is going on.
I changed database connection strings of informatica session of source and target and ran the workflow.
I got the below error:
Error: Repository mismatch. Integration service is connected to repository [DII_REP_PRD] in domain [Domain_pl1us123] with repository GID [xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx]. Client is trying to connect to repository[DII_REP_PRD] in domain [] with repository GID [xxxx-xxx-xxx-xxx].
Any ideas pls?

Thanks for the reply.
1. They have exported the complete Informatica repository from IBM server to AT&T server.
2. Yes you are right, I have changed connection info on connection tab in workflow manager.
How we connect to informatica repository(AT&T) is:
They have created a new domain.
After giving username and passwd, we have to select the new domain and say connect.
1. our informatica wkfs are scheduled through DAC. When I run a DAC plan it was running fine.
2. When I run wkfs manually, it was giving error: How i fixed is:
Goto Workflow tab on top, and say edit the workflow. Go to integration service, Here we have two services (IBM and AT&T),
select AT&T service and save the changes. Now it worked.

DAC How to run the job in Scheduler , i'm new using DAC

I need someone help me, becouse i read from many forum but no result for me,
the Version for DAC: Dac Build AN 10.1.3..4.1.2009.415.0146.
I need to know how can i use, some of my collages told me i have to set LAST_UPDATED_DATE or refresh.
This is True to set it Manuel or it's set automatic ? ? ?.
IF it Automatic how can i make it run?
IF it Manuel can you please tell me how can i do it ?

Its very simple most of people gut confused.
Follow bellow steps.
1- Login to DAC Client
2- -Click on '*Execute'* tap
3- Under Exectuion Plans UNCHECK full Load Always
4- SAVE
5- tap to Scheduler
6- Press NEW and Enter Name
7- select Execution Plan form List
8- Under Recurrence Plattern
9- select Hourly or Daily or Weeky or monthy
if you Select Daily A Menu will appear and set the Time Month Year, Day , hour, Minute, Second
10- Set Start Date
11- Set End Date
for End Date you can set to Never or you can give date
12- Save it
and Enjoy

DAC Scheduler acting very odd

Greetings,
I currently have DAC setup to kick off an execution plan every 1 week from Monday through Friday, but for some reason it's been acting very weird. The schedule jumps and default to every 2 weeks instead of the specified 1 week criteria. Does anybody have any issue with that? Or do you know where I would go to troubleshoot exactly why DAC is doing that?

Just an idea , may be you can check the scheduler related API (availability of Jar files) in your version of DAC. For eg. i had a similar issue when my scheduler wasnt working for
daylight saving timezone which I was able to get a fix by applying updatetool patch of Oracle

DAC did not run scheduled plan

This plan has been running every night for the last year at 12:30 am, last night it failed to start/run for some reason.
Where can I look for Dac schedule errors or java errors.
Is this due to daylight savings possibly?
Anyone else have this issue this morning 12 am.

A bit more information in the job history. This job executes a chain. Usually the run shows a CHAIN_START with a status of "RUNNING", the individual steps as "SUCCEEDED" and then a CHAIN_RUN with a status of "SUCCEEDED". The job(s) with a problem shows Log Info:CHAIN_LOG_ID='27519",REASON="manual slave run", an Operation of CHAIN_RUN with a status of "SUCCEEDED", followed by "CHAIN_START with a status of "RUNNING", the successful steps and then a CHAIN_RUN with a status of "SUCCEEDED". The jobs under Job History show one starting at 2:42:10 and running for 9926.7 minutes. The second shows as starting at 2:42:11 and running for .01 minutes. The job log looks like this:

How to Invoke DAC (Datawarehouse Admin Console) from Jobtrac(Scheduler)

Could some one let me know the process involved in invoking DAC from Jobtrac. What are the parameters that should be passed from the Jobtrac

I am not familiar with Jobtrac. You can run the DAC execution plan via command line.
dacCmdLine StartETL <plan name>
You can take a look at the file, dacCmdLine, which is a window bat file. Basically, it invoke the Java program com.siebel.etl.net.DACCommandLine.
If the scheduler can run the Java program, you should be able to invoke DAC execute plan from it.

How to reset DAC scheduler

We have a schedule to run a full ETL daily at 3am through DAC scheduler. After an unexpected downtime during the ETL run, the DAC schedule not working anymore. Even the execution is not running, the "Last Schedule Status" and "Status Description" still shows as "Running". And the "Next Trigger" column shows a date of two days ago (day of the downtime). As a result, the daily scheduled run does not happen anymore. Is there a way to reset it without recreating the schedule?

Hi,
could you click right on the "Last Schedule Status" and "Status Description" and change the status with stopped.
Another way is to mark your run as completed to re-run a new full ETL.

DAC scheduler Tab: Next Trigger option

Hi All,
I am facing a problem with DAC scheduler option. My DAC server was down and by the time I bought it up, one of the executive plan's time has been crossed.
For Ex: If my executive plan "Run_Daily" is supposed to run at 5/14/2013 12:04AM, the bought the DAC server back up at 5/14/2013 12:45AM.
So, I did change the next trigger value of that "Execution Plan" to 5/14/2013 12:50AM such that it can get triggered at 5/14/2013 12:50. But unfortunately the job is not being triggered, but the "Next Trigger" value is being changed to next day 5/15/2013 12:04AM. Did anyone face the same issue? If so, how can it get corrected?

Value would have not got updated i guess properly.
Otherwise by the time you put the next trigger timing it would have crossed the timing.
Whenever you have some issue in because of dac server is going down then I would suggest you to manually kick start EP.

Using DAC we can schedule the ETL to run periodically. In DAC Execute -> Scheduler you can set the date and time for the ETL which need to be scheduled. You can get detail information in guide 'Oracle® Business Intelligence Data Warehouse Administration Console User’s Guide'

How to run a single job(informatia job) using DAC

We have any incremental load scheduled daily.We have made some modifications to the out -of box mapping.we need to run the mapping to reflect all the changes to the existing data.
is their is any way to run full load only for this mapping to refdlect the changes(not dac full load)
Cani know the parameters that ned to change and schedule teh full load fo rthis mapping.

DAC as schedular tool for Informatica workflows(Not for OBIApps repository)

I have to use DAC as administrative / scheduler tool for Informatica workflows. Earlier, I configured the same for OBI Apps. It's running fine. Now I am not refering to Oracle_BI_DW_Base.rep which is the inbuilt repository provided with OBI Apps. I have to run my workflows through DAC. I have gone through the below listed steps to achieve the same,
1) Created New USER
2) Used that user to configure DAC connection as well as for DAC repository tables. (am not sure whether it is a best practice or not)
3) Created a new Source System Container. (no containers were there initially)
4) I have folder in Informatica as "MyRep", so I created task logical and physical folders with the same name in DAC (Tools => Seed Data =>........)
5) Created new Subject Area, tables, tasks, performed Synchronize Tasks.
5) Set up informatica servers, Physical Data Sources. Tested them, no flaws.
6) Added new Execution Plan.
7) Assigned Subject Area to it.
8) Clicked on "generate" button in parameters section of execution plan. No Parameters generated. Now got into confusion.
*9) I couldn't find my tasks listed in ORDERED TASKS tab.*
10) Clicked on BUILD. Then got error message as below,
MESSAGE:::No tasks were found to build this execution plan.
Please do let me know what is the wrong step here.

I forgot to set Configuration Tags properly, later Assembled the subject area. Cheeeeeeerrrrrrsss... It's working

DAC not populating FACT table for the GL module - W_GL_OTHER_F (zero rows)

All - We did our FULL loads from the Oracle Financials 11i into OBAW and got data in most of the dimension tables populated. HOWEVER, i am not seeing anything populating into the fact table W_GL_OTHER_F (zero rows). Following is a list of all dims / facts i am focusing towards for the GL module.

Also, another reason I had was that if you choose not to filter by set of books/type then you must still include the default values set of books id 1 and type NONE in the list on the DAC parameters (this is a consequence of strange logic in the decode statements for the sql in the extract etl).
I would recomend you run the extract fact sql prior to running your execution plan to sanity check how many rows you expect to get. For example, to see how many journal lines, use informatica designer to view mapplet SDE_ORA11510_Adaptor.mplt_BC_ORA_GLXactsJournalsExtract.2.SQ_GL_JE_LINES.3 in mapping SDE_ORA11510_Adaptor.SDE_ORA_GLJournals then cut paste the SQL to run your favourite tool such as sqldeveloper. You will have to fill in the $$ variables yourself.

DAC email notification not working.even if we get test mail.

DAC clients are installed in Windows machine (Remote) and DAC servers are installed on UNIX platform.
I have set up the smtp configuration in DAC client.i am also getting test mail.
But after my schedule load completion i am not getting email notification.
my question to be specific:
1)can we getting email notification if we r having DAC server and client on 2 seperate platform.
any help on this issue will be very helpful.if yes then how can it be done.

Using DAC for custom Environment

Hi All,
I would like to know that, can we use DAC to schedule , run the loads for custom ETL environment(not BI APPS), does DACt supports. Below is is my set up
-Oracle 11g DB(source and target )
-Informatica 9 installed
-Mappings, workflows are developed
-DAC 11g is installed
Now I want to set up DAC so that I can run loads from DAC instead of Informatica. Please any let me know high level steps. Is it different from BI APPS environmen if so kindly let me know configuration

Short answer is NO...as per licensing agreements, you can only use DAC and OBIA to load a OBIA DW target.
