Scheduling to transmit the file at a particular time of day

Dear all,
In one of the scenario, a file is getting created in append mode. This file needs to be transmitted to the receiver system everyday at 6 PM in the evening.
How do we handle this kind of scheduling, is it possible for the receiver file channel in XI.
Please share your experiences on this.

You can use the availability time planning for this.
For this go to Adapter Engine - Communication Channel monitoring.
Click Availability time planning..
Once it is done you will get a new screen
From the drop down select Daily and click Create
In the Details Tab - Type a description and select active and specify the time frame you require and for how long
And in the comm channel tab select the channel you want to use for this and click use filter and after this save it.
You are all set for comm channel scheduling

And to view the file, if the user enters the file name

I'd just answered a similar case. I believe this is what you are looking for;

I want to transfer all my iPhoto, iTunes, contacts, etc. files from my MacBook, which I am selling to a MacBook Pro. What is the easiest and safest method of achieving this? Can the files backed up on Time Machine be transferred to the Pro?.

I would like to capture the files as they appear on the MacBook, such as "Events" in iPhoto and the various song categories within iTunes without having to rename them all once saved on the Pro, which is the case with photos when I simply save them to thumb drive and import them to the Pro. Sny advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for all your assistance. There is no need for apologies, Migration Assistant did indeed create a second account for the MacBook data. It has just taken me some time to figure out how to access it. I now have all the MB data in one account and the MBP files in another, which suits me fine. In fact, it is an advantage in my case as it keeps the private and business aspects separated.
I will however try the fatcatsoftware to transfer all the iPhoto files to my iMac, where I keep my main photo library. and it will be of help to keep the events, etc in the transfer. As far as iTunes is concerned, I have HomeSharing on all my computers and this has obviated the need to worry about playlists being transferred successfully. However, HomeSharing did not appear to share the iPhone/iPod apps that were stored on the MB and although these have now come across with the new MacBook account on the MBP, I was wondering whether my iPhone and iPod will be recognised by the MBP and sync with it? Will I need to have the MB account open to achieve this or will the MBP recognise and sync with the iPhone/iPod automatically irrespective of which account is open?
Thanks for the tip on deauthorising my iTunes account from the MB before sellng. This I will do and I believe the best way to remove all of my data from the hard drive is to reinstall the MacOSX operating system software. Is this the right approach to securely delete everything?

Save the file and give date & time stamp

1. Reading the Excel file from the selection screen as a parameter.
2. Using F.M. ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE reading Excel file into
 Internal table.
3. Implementing the Business Logic.
4. Move output to Final Internal table.
5. Final internal table should generate a Flat file. By using GUI_DOWNLOAD.
6. That flat file should be saved with the name and location given in the Excel.
7. When ever I run the program output file will generate in the same location but with date and time stamp. Because Im running the program for range of employees say initially I run for 1 10,000 employees next 10,001- 20,000 like that.
Whenever I run for 2nd time it will overwrite the previous output, thats the reason Im using date and time stamp.
Eg:
PERSONAL Numbers Name Location
00000001 xxxxx-24.04.2007-10.30 C:\
00000002 xxxxx-24.04.2007-10.35
00000003 xxxxx-25.04.2007-10.40
00000004 xxxxx-25.04.2007-10.30

I am not clear with your problem. Based on the understanding of your question,
there can be two cases.
1- U want to insert time stamp in the output file.
2- Time stamp is already there, u just have to solve the overwriting issue.
If your question goes with option 2, You can make use of import parameters
CONFIRM_OVERWRITE : Which will ask for confirmation before overwriting.
APPEND : which you can choose either to append the data to the existing file or overwrite it.
Please inform if the issue is not resolved.

I'm having problems downloading: the file cascades a bizzillion times on the screen and it appears to be a .part file.

I'm on a Mac - my hard drive crashed last week (got a new one) so I downloaded the Firefox again. When I download, I can view my downloads under the "Tools" menu, but in my download file in my dock, the files say pdf.part - and when I download, the file cascades a bizzillion times (really annoying) and I have to quit out of Firefox to move forward.

You can have infinite tabs opening if you have selected Firefox as the application to handle a file if you get an Open with download window. 
Firefox should not be selected as the application to handle a file and you have to remove the action that is associated with that file type.
You can delete [http://kb.mozillazine.org/mimeTypes.rdf mimeTypes.rdf] in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] to reset all actions or set that action in Tools > Options > Applications to 'Always Ask'.

IF.... .no other backups have occured since you deleted the file, you might be able to retrieve it using an application like Disk Warrior. It's about $100 as I recall, and there are no guarantees that it will work.
DiskWarrior 4 - The Disk Utility for Mac Disk Repair, Mac Directory ...
Any of the free or low priced utilities that you might see or try will not be able to retrieve a deleted file from a Time Capsule.
If any backups have occured since you deleted the file, the deleted file has almost certainly been overwritten. No way to retrieve it in that case.

Mac yes.. use BTMM and iCloud or direct AFP connection to the TC.
There is huge amount of info.. just look up remote access time capsule.
PC no.. there is no AFP protocol application that I know of.
iPad no,.. again it is not an AFP protocol device. The only open access method apple allowed is BTMM which doesn't work for ipad.
If you want access for PC and ipad you need to replace the current modem router combo.. whatever it is with one that includes vpn server endpoints.. these can be fairly cheap.. plenty of products with 3rd party firmware will work. VPN is far superior method.

No, there are no apps that can do that, as no app would have access to the necessary API's to perform such a task.

When you do the research to find the factors of the successful people, you'll find that they ALWAYS spent a lot of time every day in their businesses.
The IT technologies change so fast and explode. The performance of IT people with 20 years experiences can be EASILY catched up by a IT people, maybe you, who has only 6 or 7 years or even less if you spend over 80 hours or even more every week on your job and on the latest technologies.
The reasons are listed below:
1. The out-of-date IT technologies is no use anymore. It's like the out-of-date IT books. The people with 20 years experience can't rely on his last experience any more.
2. If you spend 80 hours every week, you'll absorb doubled the knowledge and experience than the people who spends only 40 hours every week. According to my experience, if the comparison of the knowledge the worker has is 1 to 5, the real hours needed to finish a task may be 1 to 10. Please notice that the knowledge can be used for many times and the 1 to 5 and 1 to 10 comparisons will repeat again and again. Without spending more time on getting more knowledge, the comparison of 1 to 10 is still happening.
4. Like trying to save the money, most of his 40 hours will be spent on his tasks. He may have only 5 hours left to learn new IT technologies. If you still need to spend the same time to finish your tasks like him, you still will have 45 hours to learn new technologies. You grow 9 times, 5 hours to 45 hours, faster than him. If you keep working and learning the new IT technologies 80 hours every week, you'll find that you'll need much less than 35 hours like him, you may have 60 or even more hours every week to do more tasks to get more experiences and to learn more latest technologies.

Thanks! I forgot to add, I have debonded and rebonded the bluetooth in car and phone and have carried out 3 restores on the phone in my ITunes. All to no avail. I have also jsut spent £40 on a lead from Ford that has made no difference too! I went to them today to request a software upgrade on my car as I though perhaps the lack of connectivity in the car was down to the car being behind the iOS5 software but was informed there was no need for an upgrade and this problem is purely an apple problem! Is there any way around the downgrade? Or are apple gong to resolve this problem at all??

I have a Airport Extreme that is dropping the wireless signal alot (several times a day). The green light will go amber but the internet service (ethernet cable) will still be fine. The wireless icon on devices with go away.

When the light goes amber all devices that is using wireless will lose there wireless icon. The only way to get the green light back is to unplug the Airport device and replug it back in. I tried the reset on the back but still no luck. What is the fix?

You have an Airport Extreme base station that is set to "Create a wireless network" and you have the box checked for "allow this network to be extended"....
Then you have an Airport Express that is set to "Extend a wireless network" which you selected the name of your network in the box...

Right click on the row and create a new structure.
In this structure you can add key figure.

If you just want to display it within the same BSP application, try this:
<htmlb:image src="eg.jpg" />
If you want to retrieve the image from a non BSP application, I think you should look at logical files and paths (transaction AL11).

Picking up the files in a particular order

In the sender communication channel i have mentioned the file name as plannedorder*.xml
And in the source directory i have 5 files , plannedorder1.xml,plannedorder2.xml,plannedorder3.xml etc
Now my requirement is xi has to pick the file in this order only.
I dont want plannedorder2.xml to be picked before plannedorder1.xml.
How can i achieve this.

Files can either be processed in ascending alphabetical order (Processing Sequence "By Name") or by their last modification time stamp (Processing Sequence "By Date"), where the oldest file is processed first. For the Transport Protocol "File Transfer Protocol (FTP)" files are always processed in ascending alphabetical order

As metioned before, you have to save the form with a new file name before you submit it.
Otherwise the file name cannot be changed.
