Schwab brokerage website not working with any version beyond 3.6. Continully get kicked out of the site and have to log back in. 3.6 version works fine. None of the other version will work with Schwab Client Website. What is the problem?
As I select tabs on the Schwab Client Web Site I am kicked out with a message that says I've timed out and must log back in. All version beyond 3.6 have this same problem.
Going all the way back to Firefox 3.0.5 is shear foolishness, it is 14 security versions behind the last 3.0.19 release. And that version is missing at least a dozen security updates that were applied to the 3.5 and 3.6 versions after support for 3.0.x ended.
If you are not happy with Firefox 4, you should have installed Firefox 3.6.17. That is very similar to the 3.0 and has all the security fixes that have been released since support for Firefox 3.0.x ended last year.

After loading Maverick iTunes will not launch. I get an error code: -45054. I am the administrator and have no groups or guests. Sharing options don't fix this. Also Fetch will not launch, I get error code: SSL error 9807. These worked perfectly before installing Maverick. Also everything that loads, all programs, take twice as long to load. Remove "MacKeeper" as follows. First, back up all data.
"MacKeeper" is a scam with only one useful feature: it deletes itself.
Note: These instructions apply to the version of the product that I downloaded and tested in early 2012. I can't be sure that they apply to other versions.
If you have incompletely removed MacKeeper—for example, by dragging the application to the Trash and emptying—then you'll have to reinstall it and start over.
IMPORTANT: "MacKeeper" has what the developer calls an “encryption” feature. In my tests, I didn't try to verify what this feature really does. If you used it to “encrypt” any of your files, “decrypt” them before you uninstall, or (preferably) restore the files from backups made before they were “encrypted.” As the developer is not trustworthy, you should assume that the "decrypted" files are corrupt unless proven otherwise.
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Applications
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-A. The "MacKeeper" application is in the folder that opens. Quit it if it's running, then drag it to the Trash. You'll be prompted for your login password. Click the Uninstall MacKeeper button in the dialog that appears. All the functional components of the software will be deleted. Reboot.
☞ Quit MacKeeper before dragging it to the Trash.
☞ Don't empty the Trash. Let MacKeeper delete itself.
☞ Don't try to drag the MacKeeper Dock icon to the Trash. -

Updating Snow Leopard won't help. You need to Upgrade OS X to Lion or higher if your system will support it. First check to see if your system meets the system requirements to upgrade.
Lion system requirements are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available space

If you can run Mavericks, you can download a free upgrade from the Mac App Store. I was downloading the update for my ipad. The wifi stopped working and when I try to enter my password it says cannot connect. The download won't finish unless I'm connected to my wifi. Any suggestions?
First restart your WiFi router.
You can also try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists. -
My wife is a huge fan of ancestry.com. She is kicked out of ancestry searches. We have tried google yahoo bing but to no avail. Apple stock answer --- ancestry.com problem. It's either a Flash problem or a Java problem. Ancestry.com have always been troublesome on a Mac.

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS.I've never had this problem before... today I opened iTunes and it prompted me to download the newest version. I use iTunes all the time and have updated it multiple times with no issues. During the installation process it gave me an error message that said:

I quit the installation, uninstalled iTunes and rebooted my computer. I now receive a similar message with a slight difference:

I did not leave anything out from the error message. It doesn't point to a specific file, it just ends with "(x86)..." Every time I boot up my computer, this error message pops up on my desktop.
How do I repair this issue? I have found multiple suggested solutions but am unsure which one is the best, and I don't want to try a bunch of different things for fear I may make the problem worse. I would like to try and fix this myself if possible but I need to know if that is really possible or if I need to take my computer to someone for repairs. I have some OLD software on my Mac Pro. How do I know if it will work with Snow Leopard? Currently I'm using 10.5.8.

It's still wise to check with the vendors' websites for compliance.
Biggest source of problems seems to be printer and scanner drivers.
Appleworks 6.2.9 works fine in SL under Rosetta (note; Rosetta is installed by default in Leopard - in SL you may have to select it from the optional installations).
Check particularly with Adobe products; some you'd think should work ok suddenly don't. -

I was on an online course website, logged in and working on an assignment. Suddenly the page disappeared and was not on the tabs either. I went to the home page and tried to log back in and it said I was already logged in on another browser window and if I proceeded to log in again the assignment I was working on would be ended and I would receive a zero. I can't locate the browser window that I was signed in on. I have apple 4s and the operating system is iOS 5.1.1 got the update message of iOS 6. if update the iOS 6, other functions will work unchanging?
What other functions?
There have been some wifi related issues reported with the 4S being updated to IOS 6. There is no turning back once you update so keep that in mind.
I recommend updating via iTunes so that you make a backup of all your data. You may want to make an iCloud backup as well.
Other than that, I don't understand what other functions you are concerned about? -
I updated to ios 7.1 on Thursday. My ipad basically does not work any more. I am running around in circles on this site and on other "forums" trying to fix. ??? Don't have time for this.....Any advice appreciated.

My "fn" button is stuck on only revealing mission control in Lion. With this problem none of my "f" keys will work nor can I hold "fn" and delete to delete text in opposite direction. Can someone please help with this?

i have in the meantim had to open www.icloud. then from there import the file that i am working on and then check on ipad if it uploaded/ yes it did.
but what a waste of time as it doesn not save any changes done automatically back in the cloud....
i am now downloading the new LION and hope that it will fix the problem
i cant find any other way. I was lead to believe that you wrote, it saved automatically, on to the cloud, you then opened anohter device in anotother country even, and the new file was there, waiting, in its latest version.......
and the same magic was supposed to happen in reverse.
