Script for comparing 2 schemas based upon table compare

Hi,
I want to write a script on 2 schemas TEST and TEST1 which will compare the difference in tables in both schemas and will Insert Data
into schema TEST from TEST1 depending upon the matched columns in schema TEST and TEST1
Any help will be nedful for me

I want to write a script on 2 schemas TEST and TEST1 which will compare the difference in tables Differences in METADATA or differences in data.?
It would be helpful if you provided DDL for tables involved.
It would be helpful if you provided DML for test data.
It would be helpful if you provided expected/desired results & a detailed explanation how & why the test data gets transformed or organized.

  • Accessing schema-based XML table

    HI Gentlemen,
I have a schema-based XMLtype table that I have to query in detail (e.g. via XPath). Documentation states that XML mapping is possible through some Java programming. However, I do not have XML content in a .xml file, it has already been loaded into Oracle DB (that is - non-JAXB)!
Can anybody recommend a sample code or description of the technology?
    Thanks, regards from
    Miklos HERBOLY

Your xml document may by represented as an column, you will got the content as other attributes.
You will not be able to manage the structure of your document natively via the adf layer ... you may marshall/unmarshall the content into a class you build with jaxb or with castor by example (much better interface and classes).
Note that you will be able to generate a data control from the class that represent the document and use the elements (and/or attributes) of your sturcture in your web pages by drag and drop like for columns in a table.
Hope this help a little bit

  • Schema-based xmltype table

Below mentioned is the schema-based xmltype table
    CREATE TABLE BRSK.MEDV_brpubdoc_tab OF XMLType
    XMLSCHEMA "http://xmlns.oracle.com/xdb/schemas/BRSK/www.medversation.com/brpubdoc/brpubdoc.xsd"
    ELEMENT "brpubdoc"
    TABLESPACE BRSK_M;
when ever delete the old schema and register the new schema should i drop the previous xmltype table and create the new one?If this is the case then we will be losing the previous xml contents. Is there is a way to avoid drop and creation on xmltype table on schema delete and schema registration. Please help me out on this.

I hava gone through the below mentioned link http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B12037_01/appdev.101/b10790/xdb07evo.htm which states In prior releases an XML schema, once registered with Oracle XML DB at a particular URL, could not be modified or evolved because there may be XMLType tables that depend on the XML schema. There was no standard procedure for schema evolution. This release supports XML schema evolution by providing a PL/SQL procedure CopyEvolve() a part of the DBMS_XMLSCHEMA package. CopyEvolve() involves copying existing instance documents to temporary tables, dropping and re-registering the XML schema, and copying the instance documents to the new XMLType tables. So i think schema evolution works in 10g only

  • How to create table for XML schema-based Interface form

    Hi All,
With tcode SFP to crate  a XML schema-based Interface form, how to create a defined table can be listed in "Data View"?
Just like APAP Dictonary- Based Interface form, that we can drag  a defined table from data view to the panel.

    Hi,
    Just follow these steps:
    1. Create interactive form UI element in your view.
    2. Now provide Datasource and PDFSOURCE to it in form properties.
    3. Now give a template name prefix with 'Z' or 'Y'.
    4. Double click on it. It will prompt for interface name.
    5. Provide interface name prefixed with 'Z' or 'Y'.
    6. Click on Context button in the Pop up window and provide the node you have selected as DATASOURCE.
    7. Click ok and it will open the form designer.
    8. In this way you can create a XML Schema based Form.
    9. Activate the interface and design the form providing layout type and other details.
    Hope it will help.

    Vaibhav

  • Needed Script for Gather Schema Stats

    Hi
Well i need a script that monitors Gather Schema Schema stats is scheduled for coming week
In EBS this would be a con current request scheduled that i need to get the information ..
that script will run once in week and tell us that a GSS is scheduled on or else if its not scheduled it will give an alert as it is not schedule
    please let me know
    Cheers

    Hi Hussein,Alex
well thanks for your reply ....
but let me be more more clear what i need ...
    below query
    select ACTUAL_START_DATE, ACTUAL_COMPLETION_DATE,ROUND ( (ACTUAL_COMPLETION_DATE - ACTUAL_START_DATE)*1440) DURATION_MINS, REQUEST_ID, CONCURRENT_PROGRAM_ID from fnd_concurrent_requests where actual_start_date between to_date('4-Jun-12 00:00:00','dd-mon-yy hh24:mi:ss') and to_date('6-July-12 11:00:00','dd-mon-yy hh24:mi:ss')
    and CONCURRENT_PROGRAM_ID in (select CONCURRENT_PROGRAM_ID from FND_CONCURRENT_PROGRAMS_TL where USER_CONCURRENT_PROGRAM_NAME LIKE 'Gather Schema Statistics') order by 5,1;
this give me output that between this date 4-june-12 to 6-July-12 is there any con current request ran for Gather Schema Stats...
this query will give me request_id,concurrent_program_id and all details...
like this i want to see that if any con current request is schedule in near future
    let us for eg
this script will run on monday and it will pickup up the concurrent request telling for this week on this date GSS is schedule...
    likewise i need ...
hope this give explanation what exact i need ..

  • Export custom step properties for all sequences based upon expression

I want to export only my custom step properties to a database. I realize this can be done one at a time but I'm looking for a more general, quicker solution since I have dozens of custom steps and many instances of each. I can probably do this, but if someone has already developed a method I could use the info. Thanks.
    kph

    Hi kph,
Unfortunately, there is not a straightforward way to solve this
problem.  TestStand does not currently support any database
configuration through programmatic means.  The customized database
must be configured ahead of time.  I would handle the issue by
setting up this database in configure >> Database Options.
The quickest solution for customization would be to duplicate one of
the default Schemas (for example, Generic Recordset) under the "Schema"
tab.  Under the statements tab, you can then cut out all of the
unwanted statements (it sounds like you'll want to cut out most of
them) and add new statments for your custom steps.   In this
step, be sure to reference your custom step type for each statement in
    the "Types to Log" field.
Under the Columns/Parameters tab, you can then add all of the properties you would like to save for each configured statement.
At this point, you can use TestStand to create a SQL script file to
match the Schema you just created.  From the Schema tab, you can
select the Build .sql File dialog box.  After saving and running
the script, you will have successfully created the required tables for
    the custom schema.
At this point, the custom properties should log to the database.
Hope this helps in your application development!

  • Shell Script For Export And Import Of Table Records

    Hello,
We have production and test instances and for constant testing we need to copy data from production to test or development environment.
At the moment what we do is manually doing export and import table records. At times this could be very tedious as we may need
to do this exercise a couple of times in a day.
Is it a good idea to do this exercise using shell script? If so how could I do this? If this is not a good idea what are the best alternatives?
    Any input is highly appreciated.
    Thanks

Ah I see, your company prefers stupidity over efficiency. It would be possible to do it in a controlled environment, wouldn't it? Also the test database would be allowed to select only.
So the non-allowance is just plain stupid.
To the second question: do you use hard-coded passwords in shell scripts?
Don't you think that poses a security risk?
Don't you think that is a bigger risk than a database link, properly set up?
    In my book it is!

  • Script for naming Layer-based Slices after Layers?

Is there a script (PScc) for layer-based slicing in which the slices are named after their associated layers? I've done a lot of searching and it looks like this might have been in older versions of PS but I have not found anything recent.
I don't have much experience with Javascript personally so I'm hoping someone has tackled this before. Thanks in advance!

  • ExistsNode exception with Schema based XMLType table

    hi,
While running this query on structured table -->
    SELECT OBJECT_VALUE
    FROM Table_Structured
    WHERE existsNode(OBJECT_VALUE, '/Entity/Fields[field2="stringvalue"]') = 1;
    I get this exception -->
    Error report:
SQL Error: ORA-00932: inconsistent datatypes: expected UDT got CHAR
    00932. 00000 - "inconsistent datatypes: expected %s got %s"
    *Cause:
    *Action:
There is no problem running this on unstructured XMLType tables
    What the problem ?
    Thanks in advance.

To get an answer more meaningful than the one the error message gives you (and that's pretty clear as XML errors go), you're going to need to supply a bit more info. At least the relevant portion of the schema and the actual definition of the table. The database version never hurts either.

  • A script for adding Tags based on search result

Hello all fellow faithfuls of InDesign!
I am looking at a challenge with my very basic (near to none) experience of scripting, that goes like this:
I need a script that could search through my story/selection and look for patterns (such as four digits in a row, basic RegEx stuff) and add a specific Tag-element with some specific attributes and given values that would be taken from the found pattern.
    EXAMPLE: (Searching the text below)
    Product 7352     price 23,60
Now the script would find: 7352 and tag it [7352] and give it attributes like RecordID = 7352 and Field = PRODUCTNR
For the price it would find the 23,60 and give it the same RecordID = 7352 and Field = PRICE.
How would I approach something like this?

    Hi AshishK15,
Base on your code, I think the exception is threw in the code of Selection.Paragraphs(i).Range.Select.
For your code, you are getting the all paragraphs of the document (iParCount), however you are using the Selection object to get all paragraphs, which is incorrect unless you select the whole document content.
So, please modify the Selection to ActiveDocument.
    For i = 1 To iParCount
    ActiveDocument.Paragraphs(i).Range.Select
    If ActiveDocument.Paragraphs(i).Range.ListParagraphs.Count = 1 Then
    MsgBox ActiveDocument.Paragraphs(i).Range.ListFormat.ListLevelNumber
    MsgBox ActiveDocument.Paragraphs(i).OutlineLevel
    End If
    Next

This is actually in our release notes as not implemented yet.
The following capabilities are currently planned to be added by the production release:
Tools > Export - Will be a DDL generator.
I will mention in the release notes when this function is operational. The menu item is just there now as a placeholder.

  • Report for PO listing based upon values

    Hi
I wish to have list of standard reports from which I can have the list of Purchase orders as per below example
    POs upto  INR 10, 00000/-
    POs  INR 10,00001 to 50,00000
    POs USD 10,000$ to 50,000
    Regards

    Hi Samuel,
There is no standard report in SAP which gives you the report by currency segregation.
You can use T.code ME2N and in that command there is a button DYNAMIC SELECTION (SHIFT+F4). In that you have options Purchasing Document Header, select the currency (if you want) or else you can run the report and filter out the report on the basis of currency.
