Script that initiates animation with mouseover
I need some help with the following: I want to initiate a Flash Professional CS4 animation with a mouse over script. I have tried to use a component called mouseover that is an Adobe extention. I think I have done everything right in Flash but it doesn't work after making the .swf movie. Seems like it would be a pretty simple script, but I am not an expert by any stretch. Any help with this would be much appriciated.
Here's one way to do it:
Create two layers.
On the first layer, place a button.
On the second layer, create a movie clip that contains your animation. Place a stop action on frame one of the that movie clip. Give the movie clip and instance name such as myMovieClip. .
On the button action use:

But it would only work with one selected Layer (and also on selected LayerSets).
To handle more than one selected Layer (or all Layers) some changes would be necessary. -
How to get rid of file name that pops up with mouseover?
When a user is on my website and mouses over a link to another page, the name of that page comes up - for example, if I mouse over the link to the Mums Night Out page (while on the home page) the file name pops up (mumsnightout.html)
Any idea on how to get rid of that annoying issue?

A macro script, that is used very often by many workers, opens a new Firefox browser every time it is used. We want to reuse the Firefox browser window if it is already open. We have a script that does this with IE, but... well, it's IE.

Script for saving GIF with Animation Loop Endless

I am searching for a way to use "save for web" in a Photoshop CC Script.
I already found how to use the "save for web" using Script, but now i am stuck, because i cannot find any information on how to set
that the animation, i want to save as a Animated GIF File, can be set to loop endless.
I already tried to search in all the docs i found about scripting, but there is not a single information about saving gif with animation loop endless...

PhilippWhen you do use "save for web" and select GIF, on the bottom right, the loop mode can be selected. But i think i wouldn't matter to me if it's being set before saving the image.
I already tried to run the script, but somehow
"charIDToTID('Ordn')" for example won't run. Is this the same as charIDToTypeID? because i found charIDToTypeID is a function, but charIDToTID is not...
also the third line from the end, one of the functions seem not to work, i think....
But already you given me a real good answer to what i may try to search for, since i did not actually know that this is set within the timeline, i always used the option within the "save for web" dialog on the bottom-right.

My problem is that I use Wordpress and the Edge Animate plug-in and when I insert the animation there the script seems to do nothing. I'm not a coder so I have no idea what might be happening. I'm going to post this on the Wordpress plug-in support page and see is the developer has any ideas. I'll report back about that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated since this script seems very useful!

JohanOk, so the creator of the script, Sarah Justine came up with this solution:
I was able to get this to work, but not using shortcodes.
Follow the same method of uploading an OAM as you normally would. We’re going to use HTML instead of shortcodes, and Edge Suite will still populate your page with the necessary files.
Instead of the shortcode, use this:
<div style="width:100%; height:auto"><div id="Stage" class="EDGE-78729757"></div></div>
You can change the width to be whatever % you want and add some more inline CSS. Grab the class name from whatever Edge Suite reports from the composition.
I can't get this to work sadly. Continuing discssion with Sarah.
The WP plug-in developer came up with this change to the actual script:
The fix is actually quiet simple, just remove the # in front of '#Stage' within
sym.$("#Stage").css so it says sym.$("Stage").css. That should fix the whole thing and it should also work with shortcodes. Let me know if that solves it for you.
I couldn't get this to work either! Discussion continues.

Having Trouble With E-mails That Involve Animation
This is too weird. When I receive an e-mail that has animation in it it comes through freeze framed in Mail. It does not matter if it is in my .Mac account or Verizon account. Just for the heck of it I forwarded it to myself using the Verizon account and opened it in Safari. I also did the same thing with my .mac account. I opened it on the web. Bingo, I had animation. I am also having trouble with WMV's. Why can I not get any animation in Mail? Is there something I am doing wrong? any way to correct this?
OK, from the sound of your post, you have a limited knowledge about email. Let me see if I can help. I would guess that you have a Windows machine that you have used in the past. Your email address must be a "pop" address. That means that your internet service provider has a server where your mail is sent. This is different than a web mail address, that is accessed remotely with a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari. You must then be using an email program, such as Outlook Express, to go get the email onto your local machine. Any email program can do this. Open up the accounts tab in Outlook Express, and write down the settings. There will be one for the incoming server, and one for the outgoing server. Now, on your Mac, you can use the email program provided, such as Mac Mail, and put the settings in there. You can now send and receive to your Mac using your supplied email address. You can use another program such as Thunderbird to do this if you want. You don't have to use Mac Mail.
Getting your old email off of the Windows computer is a bit harder, so hopefully you don't need to do that. But if you do, I can direct you on how to do that also. -
Advanced "Save as PDF" script that saves 2 PDF presets with 2 different Names
HI Everyone,
I am looking to improve a save as pdf workflow and was hoping to get some direction. Here is the background...
I routinely have to save numerous files as 2 separate PDFs with different settings (a high res printable version and a low res email version). Each file has to be renamed as follows...
Original filename = MikesPDF.ai
High Res PDF Filename = MikesPDF_HR.pdf
Low Res PDF Filename = MikesPDF_LR.pdf
I was able to alter the default "SaveAsPDF" script to save the files to my desired settings and to add the suffix to the name. So with these scripts here is how the workflow operates...
1. Open all files I wish to save as pdfs
2. Select script to save files as high res pdfs
3. Illustrator asks me to choose a destination.
4. Illustrator adds the appropriate suffix and saves each file as a pdf to my desired setting. ("Save As" not "Save a Copy").
5. Now all of the open windows are the new pdfs, not the original ai files.
6. Now I have to close each window. For some reason Illustrator asks me if I want to save each document when I tell it to close window, even though the file was just saved. I tell it to not save and everything seems to be fine.
7. Reopen all the files I just saved as high res pdfs.
8. Repeat the entire process except I run the script specifically designed for the low res pdfs.
What I would like to do is to combine these two processes so that there will be one script that saves both pdfs. From what I understand, the script can't support "Save A Copy" so the workflow would go as follows...
1. Open all files I wish to save as pdfs
2. Select single script to save files as both high res and low res pdfs
3. Illustrator asks me to choose a destination.
4. Illustrator saves each file as a High Res PDF and adds the the "_HR" suffix.
5. Illustrator then re-saves the open windows as a Low Res PDF and replaces the "_HR" suffix with "_LR".
Here is the code for the High Res script, The Low Res script is pretty much the same except for a different preset name and different suffix. Any pointer that anyone could give me would be most appreciated. I am pretty much a noob to this stuff so please keep that in mind.

Create a script that can create entire schema with data when run
Hi,
I need to create a script that creates the entire schema on a database when the script is run. the need is that the script should be capable of creating all schema objects with grants and all, including the table data.
The same objective can be achived through export / import.But we don't want to deliver the dump files instead a script which will be executed on a database created with same database stucture of tablespaces etc.
I have serched the net but yet to achive the goal.
Is there any oracle utility / script file that can do this for me ?
Can Oracle import be used to create the same, the way it is used to create index File ?
Please suggest !!
RegardsYou should look at the package dbms_metadata to be able to extract all ddl to recreate a schema. To load the data, you could write scripts that will generate insert statements and spool these to a file (sql generating sql), or you could write scripts that generates a delimited file and use sql loader to load the data into the target system. There are lots of little gotchas in either of these 2 solutions. The biggest 2 right away. 1 - picking a delimiter, 2 - dealing with carriage returns in text data. SQL Developer is able to do some extraction, so before you go writing this stuff yourself, I would check it out to see if it does what you are looking for before you reinvent the wheel.

Help alternating find and changebylist.jsx script that comes with CC samples
i did alternate the same vbs script to suit my needs and i was happy about it (likeChild when you give him his favourite toy) but i run in som problems with it....when i copy and place the vbs script on other computer i want it to use it invokes CS6 instead of CC...i tried everything i could think of but no luck...same thing happens every time i try to use it open CS6 instead CC in which i run it...on the computer i did write it the script run like charm(on both computers i have CS6 and CC)....so i decided to use the jsx version of same script....
then when i try that script:
1. the dialog box is opening only when my cursor is in textframe allowing me to select what i want to change 1.document 2.selected story. 3 selection
2. when i select 2 text frames and on document i have 3 or more the script does not change in 2 selected frames instead it does in all frames
i need to alternate this script
when i select text frame to open dialogbox allowing me to pick 2 of 3 above mentioned options the number 2 and 3
so it do the find and change only in text frames i selected (when it is selected with selection tool) not in all frames

Responsive animation with background color that spans 100%
I've create a responsive animation with simple background colors. I'd loe for the background colors to bleed 100%, but can not seem to find a way to do it easily. I've actually had to layer two animations on top of each other and just js. (this site is in development: http://newsite.insightpd.com/what-we-do/ ) I'd love for the red and gray to go 100% while still being centered and staying responsive. What am I missing? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
PS, I'm using the edge plugin for wordpress and am just uploading the aom file.

I'm not even sure if this is an extension or plug-in and all I can tell you is what I have already stated. I can only make one command at a time and after each one I get a pop-up from Java script that says uninstal set. I must depress ok to move on, but only for one more command and it starts over again. This also happened when I tried to instal firefox 4 a couple months ago and I deleted the program and went back to an earlier version.

I've had some great help from Mike Laughlin on this forum on creating a simple PS script that can email me when a particular event id is seen on a server.

I have hooked my ipad up to two different computers now and it will not let me fully restore it. It goes all the way through the download process then says processing file. Then it will say it lost network connection and to try again. Any ideas?
