In Firefox 3.6 and later versions you can disable the F7 shortcut that toggles caret browsing by setting the pref accessibility.browsewithcaret_shortcut.enabled to false.
To open the ''about:config'' page, type '''about:config''' in the location (address) bar and press the Enter key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

Here i have attached two sample Fla files of iphone style scrolling photo gallery using next Previous buttons. Smoothscroller.fla is the original file download from internet and thumbscroll.fla is the one i m trying to make. But i m getting the actionscript error in the movieclip symbol 2 frame 2 actionscript frame. Can anyone work out on my file & send me the easiest tutorial of flash so that i can complete my portfolio project.

Using pen button to scroll / pan with default drivers

Hi all,
On a previous tablet pc I owned, I was able to set the pen button to be used to scroll / pan instead of right click. Using the default Lenovo drivers, I see an option to deselect "use pen button as right click", but I don't see where I can instead choose the scrolling option. Does that require the Wacom drivers to be installed? I'm trying to avoid that, since I don't need pressure sensitivity much and I seem to be the only person on this forum whose pen + touch isn't giving me problems, so don't want to unnecessarily change drivers.

You need to test what the SelectedIndex is before you add or subtract 1 from the SelectedIndex.

Vertical scrolling with TrackPoint's middle button won't work on MS Word

Question:
I have a T42 ThinkPad and the vertical scrolling with TrackPoint's middle button won't work on MS Word and therefore not in my email either. Big pain in butt as I'm so used to using it. Are there any patches that fix that? Any ideas on why it won't work?

It's really weird. My suggestion would be that you install the most up-to-date driver by direct downloading or via System Update (if you haven't updated the driver).

Cannot use any buttons or controls when runnning program

When i run my program i cannot use any buttons (e.g. while loop stop,pause, ...) or any numeric controls.
Also i cannost scroll or use tab controls. But the program itself is running normally.. i can see normal results as before.
Problem is it used to work just well before. So i have no idea what happended or if i did something wrong ... but its not working anymore.
Any idea what might be the problem here?

I guess the doohickey is no longer connected to the whatchamacallit.
Your time would probably be better spent playing detective and trying to figure out what happened to make it get to that state. Does this VI read any sensors or equipment? Maybe the equipment is turned off, causing the VI to become non-responsive until the timeout (and you were just never patient enough for it to reach the timeout before aborting?) It's probably not a LabVIEW issue, but to be safe, check the dates on the files to make sure no one was futzing with it.

Script for Button 3 or using side buttons on Mighty Mouse for Button 3

Looks like the preferences for Mighty Mouse only allow the side "squeeze" buttons to be used for Button 4. I don't want to use the scroll ball for Button 3 because it keeps zooming when i do. Does anyone know how to write a script to configure the side buttons to be Button 3?

I think I'm having a similar problem. Lately, my side buttons have been activating seemingly on their own. I hear multiple clicking sounds. I know I can turn off the button, but I use USB Overdrive to activate page back in browsers and the Finder, so I can be surfing and be brought back several pages at once. Very irritating. It doesn't seem to be consistent either. I bought my latest iMac in June, so I the warranty should be in place, but I'm an hour and half from the nearest Apple store, making it somewhat inconvenient to have the mouse looked at.

Satellite C series Touchpad scrolls/moves when the left button is depressed

Seem to be having a problem with my touchpad.
After about 2 weeks of normal operation, it now only scrolls/moves when the left button is depressed.
Have had a look in settings but cannot seem to get anywhere.

It is not easy to say what is wrong there. Maybe such behaviour is result of defective hardware.
I recommend you to reinstall operating system using HDD recovery option and check functionality again with factory settings. If the same will happen again from the first moment it must be hardware malfunction and in such case you should contact nearest Toshiba service provider.
They can check it, repair if necessary and all costs will be covered by warranty.

Navigation button on wrong side of screen!!!!! To scroll, I have to keep moving from side to side to go back and scroll. Move the back button to the right side!!!!

I should be able to navigate back and forward using a button on the right side of the screen. This is where I scroll up and down from so doesn't it make sense to have the back and forward button there!!!

Anyone cant use home button on home screen and pull-down menu after using camera?

After snaping some pics i am unable to roll down menu and also home button to scroll to main screen on home screen.

After i snaped some pics with camera accessed thru locked screen i was not able to use home button and also drag notification center from top. It did not worked. Turn on and Turn off was needed to enable home button on main screen (it not worked only on main screen. It should take you to first screen of your home)... I have experienced it twice after using camera opened from locked screen. I can not reproduce it... First time there was also disappeared top panel with watches and battery life (screenshots)

Using a button to open an SWF in the same player...

I seem to be having some trouble figuring out the proper kind of script that would allow me to use a button to call up and play a new SWF in the exisiting player (in this case, the projector). I am working on an interactive presentation which is now complete. However, I need a splash screen that opens on launch which offer different langauges. Each langauge has its own swf. I need a menu on the splash screen that the user can use to select their langauge by clicking the respective button that lanches that particular swf. Right now, I just need one button as the other langauge versions are still in production.
With that said, is there an easy way to launch an swf from the splash screen? I have tried a few different actionscripts but I seem to be always coming back to loadmovie script (which I havn't really mastered yet). My early attempts would load the new SWF but the current one stays in the player. It is kind of a mess.
Anyway, I am hoping there is a simpler option. I am a beginner at actionscript 3, so I am still figuring things out. I have worked with AS1 and AS2 and it seems those versions were linked swfs easier that AS3. I just want the button to leave the existing player and open the new swf (but leave the splash screen behind). This would function like website navigation, so I am not needing anything fancy. Most of the documentation I have read so far either assumes you want the swf to import and be part of the internal navigation or want multiple swfs loaded internally. That is definitely not what I want.
Anyway, thank you in advance for any help/insight.

Well, I think I got it working. The code I came up with seems a lot more simple than what I was experimenting with. I am pretty sure I did something earlier that was similar to this code but the current swf stayed with the player when the new one loaded, I am pretty sure the old swf is hiding underneath the new one but after some testing, the actual presentation is working as intended so I am waving the AS3 white flag and am accepting how this functions in its present state. I nearly gave myself a heart attack trying to get this simple function to work
Anyway, heres my "final" code. If anyone sees something that should be adjusted, please let me know.

My iphone 5 will not let me control my volume at all. it is turned all the way up. i try to use the buttons on the side of the phone and they dont work and when im on a call i cant change the volume.

Im having trouble with my iphone 5. For about 6 months now i cannot change my volume while on the phone or using the buttons on the side to turn the volume down. I took it to the sprint store so they could fix it and they said they have never had this problem before. Ive owned every iphone from the very beginning and never had this problem before. please help.

Have you tried going to Settings> then tapping on Sounds. and making sure that change with buttons is turned on?
