  • BUG REPORT: Layers with 100% height in timeline knock bottommost layer(s) out of scrollable area

    I have tried to post this twice to the official bug report page, but (somewhat hilariously) the bug report page bounces it back with an internal error about an unknown email address, so I'm posting here too just in case. As I have no idea how to report a bug about the bug report page, I decided I might as well just post the bug here.
    CS5.5/Windows 7 - Verified on 6 different machines, some 64 bit, some 32 bit
    If I have a layer in the timeline that has been expanded to 200% or 300% (via Layer Properties) height, the bottom-most layers gets pushed outside of the viewable area. The scrollbars simply don't scroll that far. I double-checked and this is new since CS4--which still works correctly--so never let it be said that the engineers aren't working on the code! :-/
    Basically, I use this for audio layers, as it is nice to expand them to 200% so it's easier to see the waveform and guess where certain words are ending, etc when doing timeline syncing.
    It can be worked around by expanding the timeline to be tall enough to bring everything into view, so I suspect the bug lies in the scrollable area calculation. However, since space is at a premium, usually I only have about 5-6 layers worth of space allocated to the timeline panel, so this bug hits me quite frequently (since I have all my old projects set up with 200% audio tracks).

    I have the same soundcard (or at least the same modules loaded) and I'm getting good volume.
    Things to check:
    If you have the pcm and main volume all the way up in alsa mixer that should be it.  You may have to adjust the volume separately if you use esd, arts, pulse, or jack (I don't use them).
    Another thing to test is to make sure your using alsa not oss, and you may want to raise the oss level and see what happens.
    The final thing is you want to check to see which sound device the audio programs are using (usually found in the preferences).
    If none of that works, then you're out of luck.  It would help if you post what sound programs you are using and what sound daemons you are using.
    Here is my Daemons line from /etc/rc.conf
    DAEMONS=(@syslog-ng @network @netfs @crond @alsa @hal @fam)
    So i would think im using alsa not oss.  but how would i go about raising the oss to make sure?  there is no "oss" option in alsamixer.  I have tried just abuot every audio progream there is and even firefox, all of them produce about half of the maximum volume level.

  • Text indent in a scrollable area

    Hi,
    I'm trying to achieve a bit of space in a scrollable area in
    my <div> box between the text and the scrollbar.
    TEXT INDENT will only indent a set distance and on both
    sides. I only want it on the scrollbar side. Right now the
    scrollbar is hugging the (all justified) text and it's pretty ugly.
    Any tips on how to correct that?
    The <div> is relative and the overflow is auto.
    I am running DMX and don't have the website up yet. This is
    the last issue to tackle.
    Thanks for your help!

    Just add a padding to the DIV style -
    padding-right: 10px;

  • Help on scrollable area please

    Hi, ive created a site template using fireworks to slice
    areas. Now i have a central area where i want to put content. The
    problem is i cant have the the areas around the centre area moving
    so if i insert too much text in the content area it just creats a
    gap between the images that make up the site. How do i make the
    area scrollable as not to effect all the static slices surrounding
    it. I also need search engines to see this area so it cant be a
    graphic text region.

    Not sure if this is what you are looking for - but - with a
    bit of css
    you can create such a scrollbox.
    Open a new page and in code view - replace with the

  • How to restrict text area in jsp

    I am using jsp and struts framework for developing a front end application.I have a text area whose width I restricted by specifying the rows and columns.When I enter large lines of data,while entering its not expanding but on reload of page by save or any other operation its expanding beyond the number of rows and columns.
    Could somebody help me out in this

    I've ran into the same issue with struts and used the plain html tag (ie: not struts) and used the form bean to populate the contents. This way will allow you to use all of the 'missing' attributes in the Struts 1.0 taglibs, and this also works well with other html tags.
    Here's a workaround that I used:
    <textarea wrap="soft" rows="5" cols="50">
    <bean:write name="someStrutsFormBeanName" property="someStrutsFormBeanProperty"/>
    </textarea>
    'someStrutsFormBeanName' will be one of the <form-beans> element names located in the struts-config.xml, and in the action I do have the bean set to session scope. Another way is to put the textarea's body into the request and pass it around from page to page in the request or session, not very clean nor desirable, but it works...

  • Scrollable area, needs movie clip?

    If I want to have an area that scrolls when you put your
    mouse over a left or right button.
    I think I can do this by making a movie of the scrolling, and
    then using action script to play the move backwards or forwards
    when there is a mouse-hover over the buttons.
    Is this the only way to do this or is there an action-script
    only way which makes an area scrollable without having to make a
    movie first?
    thanks

    you can control that kind of thing with where the mouse is on
    the stage. i found this bit of code somewhere...
    //SCROLL NASTY
    root.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE,f);
    var t:Timer=new Timer(40,0);
    t.addEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER,moveF);
    function f(e:MouseEvent) {
    // t.stop();
    t.start();
    var speed:Number = .9;
    function moveF(e:TimerEvent) {
    front_mc.x
    =speed*front_mc.x+(1-speed)*(stage.stageWidth-front_mc.width)*root.mouseX/stage.stageWidt h;
    back_mc.x =
    speed*back_mc.x+(1-speed)*(stage.stageWidth-back_mc.width)*root.mouseX/stage.stageWidth;
    if (Math.abs(front_mc.x-
    (stage.stageWidth-front_mc.width)*root.mouseX/stage.stageWidth)<1
    Math.abs(back_mc.x-(stage.stageWidth-back_mc.width)*root.mouseX/stage.stageWidth)<1)
    front_mc.x =
    (stage.stageWidth-front_mc.width)*root.mouseX/stage.stageWidth;
    back_mc.x =
    (stage.stageWidth-back_mc.width)*root.mouseX/stage.stageWidth;
    t.stop();
    e.updateAfterEvent();
    just have to give one clip the instance name of front_mc and
    another with back_mc... dont know if thats what your looking for?
    but i love that bit of code!

  • Scrollable area within a MSO

    Can this be done? I'm looking to a creating a bio article that consist of nine images that can be click on. Once clicked on that image becomes large and a scrollable bio appears. Is that possible?

    It is possible. But there is a bug: if you preview through the cloud, your
    scrollable content will not displayed.
    There is currently a viewer waiting for approval at apple, I don't know if
    it fixed that bug.

  • Scrollable Text Area

    Hi, I have inherited a website that uses javascript/DHTML to
    create a scrollable text area. I suspect it was created using a
    Dreamweaver extension as the pages with scrollable text contain the
    following comment lines:
    // Extension developed by David G. Miles
    // Original Scrollable Area code developed by Thomas Brattli.
    I’m no Javascript or DHTML expert but it looks good and
    it still works in IE7. My question is, how do I edit the text that
    scrolls? It is not initially visible in design view, unless I place
    the cursor in either of these two lines in the code window:
    <div id="divContainer" style="z-index: 2">
    <div id="divContent">
    Although this reveals the text in the design window, if I try
    and click on the text to edit it, it disappears. I can find the
    text in the code window, and I could edit it there, but I have a
    lot of changes to make and I would prefer to make them with some
    visual feedback of the formatting. Does anybody know if this is
    possible?
    I've tried searching for info on the web, but all the pages
    that I can find point to
    http://www.z3roadster.net/dreamweaver/.
    This address does not exist and the domain (www.z3roadster.net)
    comes up with an asp.net error page.
    Also, is it necessary for the site to use frames for this
    Javascript/DHTML to work?

    Now way for anyone to know for sure without a link to your
    page to see what code it uses. One suggestion would be to copy and
    paste the text into another document make the necessary edits and
    then paste it back into the original document.

    Unless the script you are talking about uses a iframe within
    the divs to create the scrollable area (which is doesn't seem to do
    if you can see the text of the scrollable area in the code), then
    it seems from your description that it should work, but only way to
    tell is for you to pull the frames out.

  • Issue in applying SSL selectively to Login JSP Page--Session getting lost.

    Hi,
    I am facing some issues with SSL configuration on my web site running on tomcat 5.5. I am using jdk 1.5 and form based authentication with JAAS framework.
    The SSL configuration is working perfectly when applied to complete web site, but starts giving problem when applied selectively to some JSP pages. At present I am trying to apply SSL just on the login page.
    When the login screen loads up, the URL in the browser has a protocol "*https*", as expected, but it doesn't gets changed to "*http*" once the user has successfully logged in. Why is the automatic change from https to http not ocurring?
    Also I want to know which is the default page, tomcat will direct the logged in user to, once successfully authenticated using form based login; Is there any way to change this default page to some other page. It looks like that tomcat automatically directs to index.html , once the user has been successfully authenticated, but I am not so sure. My index.html page is having 4 frames; the source of these frames are different JSP pages, which are not under SSL.
    My aim is to apply SSL just on login.jsp so that password doesn't travel in clear text. Once the user is authenticated he should see index.html and the address bar's URL should change it's protocol from https to http.
    Please, find below the code in my web.xml

    <td width="100%">
    <table width="260" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="1">

    <td align="left" valign="top" rowspan="4"><img src="images/space.gif" width="15" height="5"></td>
    <td align="right" class="login-user" nowrap ><p>User name: </p></td>
    <td align="left" valign="top"><input maxLength="64" name="j_username" size="20"></td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td align="right" nowrap class="login-user"><p>Password: </p>
    </td>
    <td align="left" valign="top">
    <input maxLength=\"64\" tabindex="2" type="password" name="j_password" size="20">

    </tr>
    </form>
    The entries in my server.xml are following:
    <Connector port="8080" maxHttpHeaderSize="8192"
    maxThreads="150" minSpareThreads="25" maxSpareThreads="75"
    enableLookups="false" redirectPort="8443" acceptCount="100"
    connectionTimeout="20000" disableUploadTimeout="true" />
    <Connector port="8443" protocol="HTTP/1.1" SSLEnabled="true"
    maxThreads="150" scheme="https" secure="true"
    keystoreFile="${java.home}\lib\security\cacerts" keystorePass="changeit"
    clientAuth="false" sslProtocol="TLS" />
    I have gone through the http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=197150 and tried implementing it; The filter as explained in the thread does gets called but the session values are still lost.
    Please note I am using javascript to go from secure "https" to "http" once the user has successfully logged in The javascript code is as below:
    top.location.href="http://localhost:8080/qtv/index.html." ;
    If I use response.sendRedirect("http://localhost:8080/qtv/index.html") for going to non-secure mode, the index.html page does not gets loaded properly. (Please note that my index.html is made of *4 frames*, as explained earlier. This is a legacy code and frames can't be removed).
    The reason for index.html not getting loaded properly is that the Address bar URL does NOT change its URL and protocol from https (https://localhost:8443/qtv/index.html ) to "*http*" (http://localhost:8080/qtv/index.html) when esponse.sendRedirect() is used ;this is the default behaviour of response.sendRedirect(). And because the protocol in address bar is https, index.html is not able to load the other JSP's in it's frames because of cross-frame-scripting security issues (The other JSP's to be loaded in frames are are NOT secure as discussed earlier).
    Please let know if any way out.
    Thanks,
    Masaai

  • Unable to view Dynamic Prompts in Crystal Reports through JSP

    Hi,
    We are using Crystal Reports, SQL Server and Java in our application. We are using JSP to access Crystal Reports from another machine, get them as "ReportClientDocument" objects and then display them using "CrystalReportInteractiveViewer" object. We are able to view reports with Static Paramter values, but when we try to access reports with Dynamic Parameter values the parameter fields are not visible. It doesn't show any error but we can't see the parameter values.
    Any help in this regard will be great. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Ted,
    We are using the JAVA SDK to fetch the report. These are the steps we do using java.
    - Log in to the Crystal Enterprise
    - Get the Report Application Factory from Crystal Enterprise
    - Get the InfoStore service from Crystal Enterprise
    - Retrieve the report by name from Crystal Enterprise
    - Open the report in a ReportClientDocument
    - Instantiate a CrystalReportInteractiveViewer
    - Get the report source from the ReportClientDocument and set it as source for the CrystalReportInteractiveViewer
    - Process the HTTP request to view the report
    Please let me know if you need any further info.
