SD settlement rules to regenerate after strategy changed in the req.classes

Hi Experts
I need to complete thousands of settlement rules on SD sales orders. Sometimes just one item does not have a settlement rule. When I create the settlement rule for that line, it doesn't take the characteristics of the segment as shown on the Accounting tab. I have changed the strategy for the requirement classes 011,031 and 039. This doesn't update retrospectively.
Is there any way to regenerate the now automated rule please?

Hi,
Existing sales orders with manual settlement rule will not be considered when you use the automatic generation of
settlement rules. This is to avoid wrong or contradictory settlement rules being created automatically.
When you use manual settlement rules into COPA, it is the normal system behaviour not to pull the information from the sales order into the settlement rule. This is to allow a maximum of freedom in creating settlement rules. There is a note no. 1093777. This is for customers who want to transfer at least the sales order number and item into the manual settlement rule. Then you can click on "derivation" to populate at least a few characteristics for settlement. It works with sales orders. If you have a lot of sales orders to work on, you could also check if certain additional derivation rules would help you populate more fields
automatically.
It is also important to know that manual settlement rules are not updated when the sales order is changed. This is probably the reason why you implemented automatic generation of settlement rules. The automatically generated settlement rules are updated when the sales order is changed.

Blank screen after a change in the motherboard's Bios

Hi,
Recently, I have bought a MSI motherboard - 865PE Neo2 FIS2R. The computer works fine after I installed all the components and applications (including Windows XP [included Service Pack 1], Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility and all the drivers), as well as updating the bios to the most recent version.
However, after I changed one of the bios settings as follows:
1. Select Frequency/Voltage Control.
2. Select Performance Mode
3. Select Ultra-Turbo
then I try to quit and choose Exit & Save Changes and press the Enter key on the keyboard. Immediately after, the screen fails to show anything.
The reset button on the computer case also fails to response (the reset button works before this incident). So, I shut down the computer, wait for a while and then power it up again, the monitor still does not show anything. Also, I do not hear any special beep sound. At that time, all the fans in the case (including CPU fan, system fans, power fans and video card fan) are moving. Here are the things that I have also tried:
1) I have tried the monitor and video card separately on another computer and both the monitor and video card work fine.
2) Also, I have tried to clear the CMOS following the procedure mentioned in the manual jumper but the screen still fails to show anything.
Here is my computer's configuration:
Motherboard : 865PE Neo2 FIS2R (Bios version 1.4)
CPU : Intel Pentium 4 2.8CGHz (800 FSB)
Memory : Crucial PC3200 512MB CL3 (two of these)
Graphic card : 128MB Crucial Radeon 9800 Pro
Hard disk : IBM DTLA-307030
Case : Thermaltake Xaser III V1000A Black
Power Supply : TruePower 380 12V AC 380W ATX TRUE380PGB
Therefore, may I know if the problem is solvable and what caused the problem. Also, I have just bought the motherboard for about 2 weeks, should I go back to the retailer to get a replacement?

The difference in the performance modes above SLOW is the DRAM SPD timings used ...seems yours is unstable at the Ultra-turbo settings (you may be able to use this setting if you increase your DDR voltage slightly though (I use 2.7v for my CORSAIR)) ...only trouble is gaining access to the BIOS to do this
A few things you can try:-
Use only a single stick of memory -go into BIOS and increase the DDR voltage or reduce the performance setting
If that fails and you have another type of DDR available try using a single stick of that instead (DDR 2700 has worked for me in the past) ...this will force your motherboard to boot at the SLOW timings -you can then enter the bios and increase the DDR voltage, save, shutdown and reinstall your memory.
Try booting with the "Insert" key pressed to force the BIOS defaults to be used
Remove the power cord press the "start" button a few times (to discharge any power left in the PSU) remove the CMOS battery and set the jumper to the "CLEAR" position ...have a cup of tea (or coffee) ...reset the jumper, install the battery, insert the power cord, cross your fingers and BOOT?

Posting to Accounting: Retroactive Posting after a change in the GL account

i would like to ask you about a problem that we face in a live system throught the integration HR-FI. We have already run live posting to accounting until the end of November. But, the client wants us to change the account of a wage type. We have created a new symbolic account because the new account is an expense account whereas the previous account was a balance sheet account. We have used also the user exit in RPCIPE00 as we have different employee groupings in our system. The problem is that when we run posting to accounting for December and there is retroactive calculation the system debit/credit again the old wage type again without having results in December for this wage type.
Customizing :
01.2010-11.2010 DEBIT : X1(BALANCE SHEET)
 CREDIT: Z1
122010-12.9999 DEBIT : X2(EXPENSE ACCOUNT)
 CREDIT: Z1
Example:
11.2010 -> Payroll calculation for WT01:100 EUROS. Posting of this WT01: Debit : X1 (100EUROS) Account ,Credit : Z1 Account ((100EUROS)
12.2010 -> Retroactive calculation for november for other wage types. Not WT01. But in the posting to accounting for WT01 there is debit/credit. Note: After 01.12 we have the change in the posting customizing of this WT01.
 DEBIT CREDIT
X1 (100EUROS)
Z1 (100EUROS) (100EUROS)
X2 (100EUROS)
How can i stop the retroactive posting that takes place after the change? This wage type WT01 SHOULD NOT be posted in December.

The problem is that after posting for December i have 100 euros as debit in Account X2 (the new account) and 100 euros in the old account X1 as credit. IN Z1 account i have no problem as the result is zeroed. According to the customer, they should not have these amounts in X1,X2 accounts as there is no retro-calculation for this specific WType.

Display name of shared calendar in Outlook clients after name change on the Exchange Server

I have changed the name of a conference room resource calendar on the Exchange server but the name change is not being reflected in the end user's Outlook clients. I tested a remove/re-add and that worked but I cannot have everyone in the company do this.
Is there anyway to force the change down to the Outlook clients?

I don't know for sure, but if this is the case, then it's highly likely that the GUID is used by the client after its first view of the calendar. From that point on, it appears it doesn't "revisit" the directory for updated names.
We'd need Outlook team feedback for confirmation.

Firefox will not respond after restarting my computer after making changes in the cookies and history settings

I make some changes with cookies and cleared my history for today...and then restarted my computer...now firefox will not open...will not respond...should I uninstall firefox and then reinstall it?
If I uninstall firefox will the changes I made with the cookies and my history be reversed?
If I were to uninstall and then reinstall firefox will I loose my bookmarks if I do this? or does firefox remember them...so when I reinstall the previous bookmarks are reinstalled too?

Does Firefox starts up when you first open it after rebooting the computer but hangs the next time you try to start it? If so, then there's a [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1005487 bug] in Firefox 29 where Firefox hangs on exit when the setting "Clear history when Firefox closes" is selected, so that you get an "already running but not responding" error the next time you ttry to start it. In that case, end the firefox.exe process in the Windows Task Manager (or reboot the computer) then reset your Firefox Privacy options and UNCHECK the option "Clear history when Firefox closes". Multiselect stopped working after small change to the VO.

Hi,
I have a UI page where i need to make a small modification to the EO and the VO. There is a table which has multi select enabled. The multi select is bases on a transient variable in the VO with update able = always. This is working fine initially.
Now i need to modify the EO's primary key. Currently is is made of col a+ col b and i need to make it col1 + col c. After doing this i edit the VO and uncheck the Primary_Key property of the Col b to null. I check the attribute mapping. Everything looks fine. When i run the AM in test mode , i see all values are correctly mapped to the corresponding columns.
Now , strangely when i run the UI page, the VO changes are reflecting but the multiselect has stopped working. When i put a breakpoint on the Set method of IsSelected . .. i find that it is not being called at all.
I am not able to figure out what the problem is.. Any inputs on this would be very helpful .

Why do i need to re create the EO since the transient variable is present in the VO and the get set methods are present only in the VO java file. As far as i feel there should be no co-relation between the multi select attribute and the EO.
If you are asking me to do the same from the perspective of the primary key, then after modifying the primary key, everything is working fine as per the required functionality other than the multiselect. Since i have implemented it in many of my UI pages i think i am not doing anything different here.. Just that when i modify the primary key of the VO, the setter method of the multi select attr is not called.

How to load a Hierarchy after a change in the R/3 system?

We have a hierarchy in BW hat we extract from R/3. But now they have added two new nodes to the hierarchical structure which is not being reflected in the BW version of the hierarchy. Can you tell me how to load into BW the latest version of the R/3 hierarchy with those two new nodes??

Hi Reddy,
If you have modified just the function module to populate the hierarchy in R/3 then the hierarchies should load fine on BW. However if you have changed the datasource and there is a datasource(active) in the transport request in R/3 then you would need to replicate the datasource in BW and then load the hierarchy. Settlement rule copied from reference internal order

How to manage that no settlemnt rule will be copied from reference order into the new internal order I´m creating in transaction KO01? Is it a configuration issue?

HI,
the reason for creating an internal order "with reference" is to transfer all infos to the new order (even the settlement rule). So after "creation with reference" the settlement rule is copied. If its not the one you need:
1: take a reference order that fits your requirement.
2: for order creation without reference use a "model" order, this "model" order can be assigned to the order type in T-code KOT2_OPA and works similar as a reference, but if the model order does not contain a settlement rule, the created order also does not).
3: change/delete the created settlement rule from the new order.

Internal order "settlement rule" change

Dear Gurus,
I would like to change "settlement rule" in internal oder which has been used since go-live under ECC6.0.
I go to KO02, keyin 'order number' ,enter and click on "settlement rule" button to update.
but profitability segment line just display mode not changeable.
How can i update settlement rule in KO02?

once you settle an order with a settlement rule you cannot change the rule no more.
But you can create a new settlement rule.
First double click on the settlement rule you are currently using and for the "validity from field" give the last period. so this rule wont be in use anymore.
than create a new rule.
after these steps when you run the settlement, system will pick up the new rule you created.

Change the Settlement Rule

In the settlement rule for the Process orders, the system creating the rules with the category 'OIT' (Order Item) but i want it to be changed to 'MAT' (Material) how and where do i change the same. i know that it cant be changed in Settlement rule for the Order.

When I read down the the comments all the way down and back to your question, one question arise in my mind, why do you want to change the settlement rule to be MAT?
You said the your order is a Process Order, meaning that in one process order it can generate more than one out put. Please check the material master of your product via MM03 on MRP2. Check, is the co-product indicator activated? If yes, then click on tab Joint Production icon. There, in the joint production indicator showing what items will be produced during processing of the products.
By indicator Joint product, by default the receiver Item category will be set to OIT in the settlement rule. What you see in the distrubution rule receiver are the proportion of cost based on setting of joint production in the MRP view 2.
I don't think, this is as a problem. It is as what should be as a process order.
It would be different if your order is Production Order or order type PP01, then the receiver will be MAT

Problem with changing settlement rule

In a serviceorder when a user changes the wbs element in the additional data tab he or she also needs to change the settlement rule accordingly
further on their needs to be a check if the new wbs element is not TAFS and if the element is a wbs element (since also projects can be filled in here)
I have managed to programm the check in user exit EXIT_SAPLCOIH_009
there I can find out the new value entered by the user and check if it's correct
I only can't get the new filled in values before save from the settlement rule
when I use
 ASSIGN ('(SAPLKOBS)dkobr') TO <dkobr>.
 CHECK <dkobr> IS ASSIGNED.
the new values for the wbs element are not filled in dkobr when the user exit is running
is there any other way to find the new values for the settlement rule in memory in the user exit mentioned above ?
or is there a bapi or function to adapt the settlement rule automaticaly ?
I have looked at K_ORDER_SETTLEMENT_RULE but I don't see where you can enter the WBS element in this function ?

You can achieve this by using the BADI - CO_SRULE_CHECK. ( Use Transaction SE18).
You implement this BADI - in the method DISTRIBUTION_RULE_CHECK you will be getting the Settlement lines. ( returned by COBRB - this table stores the settlement rules by object numbers - Object number of the Order is stored in AUFK).
From the above mentioned method - DISTRIBUTION_RULE_CHECK , you call a FM - READ_NOTIFICATION_BUFFER. This will return all the buffered data for Notification/Order. You can check the ncessary conditions and raise exception message.
You can use these follwing FMs from your customer exit - EXIT_SAPLCOIH_010 for changing the Settlement rules ( if you want to go that way) -
K_SETTLEMENT_RULES_UPDATE
K_SETTLEMENT_RULE_COPY
or search with K_SETTLEMENT_RULE* to get the list of usefull FMs.

Activity of settlement rule after closing of IO

i have that case: I closed one IO, after that i run the transaction KOSRLIST_OR and the status of the settlement is ACT. Please advise hot to deactivate that IO.Is it normal after closing of IO to have that kind of status?

I had done same thing as you mentioned, I had assigned settlement rule in project definition. I had selected copy from superior WBS element system is showing same error " Superior WBS element not found and nor automatic settlement rule is created after saving project.

GR/IR expenses not affected with the settlement rule run process in the GL

Please neglect by previous post with the same title
There is a problem I face while running the settlement rule process related to internal orders on the GR/IR expenses.
According to the internal order settlement rule every expense associated to an Internal order no. whether its an account payable or manual journal accounts it should be settled (distributed) on the cost centers specified in each internal order after the monthly settlement run process is done through T.Code "KO8G", and this actually happens on the entries that are booked manually through T.Code "FB50", but the GR/IR entries is the biggest problem, it didn't reflect the settlement rule distributions in the GL it just gives me the original transaction once its was automatically created through T.Code "MIGO" they are only allocated to a one profit center with no cost center and without being distributed to a multiple cost centers according to the distribution strategy.
After a long search I found that the cost center distribution occurred only on a secondary none GL account named A&P Settlement (720010), all GR/IR expenses was settled correctly only on this account not through the ordinary GL accounts (e.g. Gifts, printed materials) and of course the correct distribution didn't appear in the GL,
So is there a transaction or any way to allocate the GR/IR expenses to there correct cost centers with the correct cost element in the GL?
Is there anything to do with the GR/IR calculation that depends on quantity base not value base?
The Process as follows:
(1) Creating Internal order with a settlement rule (E.g. Cost center 1 (50%) Cost center 2 (50%)
2) Creating a purchase order associated to an internal order
3) The Goods received and creating the GR transaction T.Code "MIGO"

(N.B. By entering the report of the cost center (Actual/Plan/ Variance) T.Code S_ALR_87013611
I found that GR/IR expenses was not charged on the concerned cost centers as shown in the GL )

But is there a way solve this problem?
And what is the use of leaving a field in the account assignment tab for an internal order while creating a PO and it will not take advantage of the settlement rule????????
And as you know the internal order settlement is a way to create a multiple account assignment
Can we solve the problem by making an automatic fake transaction that reverse the value of the GR/IR and creating another transaction can apply on it the settlement rule??
You know that settlement rule process is one of the best features in the SAP system it save time and effort to make distributions manually
