SDK installation integration

My company is distributing an open tools package using Eclipse.
We would like to integrate the Sun SDK installation into our installer.
Is there any way to do this?
A URL I could point at perhaps that would start the SDK download process and bring up the licensing agreement?
thx,
NZG

The download URL's vary by Java version - see http://java.sun.com , and look in the Popular Downloads box at the right.

  • Android SDK Installer

I am interested in doing some game development using Basic4Android. To do so, I need to install Java and the Android SDK.
I have installed Java 7. The following software is installed on my laptop:
    Java 7 Update 7 (64-bit) Version 7.0.70
Java SE Development Kit 7 Update 7 (64-bit) Version 1.7.0.70
I then access and download the Android SDK Installer, which I am told is currently this file:
    installer_r20.0.3-windows.exe
Upon running this installer, the Android SDK Tools Setup starts, which then tries to detect whether the Java SE Development Kit is installed.
I then get the following error:
Java SE Development Kit (JDK) not found.
Error: Failed to find Java version for 'C:\Windows\system32\java.exe': [2] The system cannot find the file specified.
It also says I should go to java.oracle.com to download and install the JDK.
There is a "java.exe" file in the C:\Windows\system32 folder with the date when I installed Java 7.
The file that I did download and run to install Java was
    jdk-7u7-windows-x64.exe,
leading me to have the installed Java software mentioned above.
Can you tell me what I may be doing wrong? I am running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (64-bit) on an ASUS Laptop with an i5 dual core processor.
Thank you for any help you provide.
Addendum: I solved this problem. The instructions for Basic4Android say to install the 32-bit JDK, not the 64-bit JDK.

  • CM SDK installation

We have Oracle Database running on a solaris box along with Oracle Application Server 10g. Now I want to install CM SDK, where do I do that? Do I need to do it on a seperate box? Or can I do the installation on the same box?
Further I want to know the steps involved in CM SDK installation.

    Hi!
You most definitely can install it on the same machine.
The steps for the installation are described in the Installation Guide.

  • SDK installation problem

I installed the SAP Business One SDK and it seemed to install fine. However, when I go to add a reference to my .Net project, I do not see the SAP Business One DI API Version 2007 as a COM reference. Is there something else that I need to install? I installed this on my local developer machine which is a Windows 2003 Server machine.
    Thank you

    Hi,
The SDK installation can be installed separately but the SDK is just the documentation and samples and doesn't include either the DI API or UI API COM objects. The DI API is automatically installed as part of the client installation but can also be installed separately from the B1_SHR shared folder that is created during the server installation.
    Kind Regards,
    Owen

  • SDK installer

  • SDK Installation Language - how to select?

    Hi,
I'm trying to install the latest version of the J2SE SDK on my windows XP, and I have a problem. My computer O/S is in Japanese (it's my friend's computer), but I want to install the SDK in English. There is no option given at the beginning of the installation; it looks like everything is automatically set to Japanese. Is there an English-only version I can use? Or am I stuck with Japanese?

    I'm having the same problem.
When I go to download, my choice is of a multi-language SDK.
During the installation process, there is no opportunity that I can see to set the language.
My computer's OS is Japanese Windows XP. The sdk also defaults to japanese i.e. when I work out of the command prompt window, all my compiler error messages are in Japanese.
    How do I select English?

  • SDK Installation Failed

    Hi Guys:
We created an SDK Setup as we do for every Add-On using a separated solution to include, Customer Library, Setup & SDK Setup.
We followed all the stesp we normally do, Change Add-On Name and Executable file, Include Customer Library Conpilation Output and files needed to run Add-On
The Add-On Registration Starts, Goes thru the Setup Wizard and after the Setup Wizard finishes it waits with the hourglass until times out and shows you that SDK Setup Installation failed.
So it does not finishes the Add-On Installation.
I have Created a new VS Solution and create everything from scratch and samething happened.
Does somebody has had the same problem, and found a solution for it.
    Thanks
    Edel

    Hello Edel,
Please make sure the following funcitons in AddOnInstallAPI.DLL have been called:
The installer must handle a command line parameter:
         "RecommendedPathForAddOn"  |   "PathForAddOnInstallAPI.dll"
You must use the AddOnInstallAPI.dll in your installer!
    Mandatory:
    EndInstallEx (String, Boolean)
Call this function at the end of the installation process.
The boolean parameter allows to indicate success (= True) or failure (= False).
The function returns an integer value; 0 signals success.
    EndUnInstall (String, Boolean)
Call this function at the end of the uninstallation process.
The boolean parameter allows to indicate success (= True) or failure (= False).
The function returns an integer value; 0 signals success.
Actually there is a installer SDK sample and also AddOn Installer Wizard tool available in B1DE:
1.You can refer to SDK sample of AddOn Setup:
<<C:Program FilesSAPSAP Business One SDKSamplesCOM UIVB.NET14.AddOnInstaller>>
2.B1 Installer Wizard in B1DE, How to download.
=>SAP Business One Development Environment Tools
Please pay attention to download the right version for your B1 version and VS .Net
Please refer to help file of B1DE after installation
    Start=>All Programs=>SAP Business One=>Development Tools=>Help file
    =>Simple Installer
You may refer to the following relevant threads. Or search keyword "Installation" or "Installer" for more.

  • Cannot find older flex SDK Installs

Please can someone tell me where i can find the Flex SDK
    2.0.1 install.
The documentation here references it, but the FDS 2.0.1
    installer is not available.
    http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/flex/2/install.html
I tried FTP'ing to the macromedia FTP server looking for
older versions, but i could not login.
If anyone has a link to archived version of the software,
    please post.
Note, that i do not want the HotFix 1/2/3 packs, i just need
    the 2.0.1 without hotfixes,
    Thanks
    Mick

You won't find the source .as files which is what it sounds like you are searching for. The SDK distribution has everything compiled and packaged up into libraries. The source is available in the SDK's SVN repository.

  • IPhone SDK installation problem

    Hi All,
I have a problem installing the iPhone SDK.
In the installation process, "Installation Type" page, the page you can choose modules either you want to install or not. I see "iPhone SDK" module is listed, but i couldn't select it, it's greyed out and it is not checked by default. So i had to continue like this, after installation, i couldn't open any iPhone sample code at all. XCode said i don't have iPhone SDK installed.
I downloaded the SDK from ADC days ago.
I upgraded my mac to 10.5.4, also upgraded iTunes to 7.7
    are there any other prerequisites?

excuse me i'm quite new to this community.
you mean the iphone sdk can not be installed on apple's own hardware?
is apple switching the focus to x86 architecture? are there any background information that i should take a look at?
    appreciate it.

  • IPhone SDK Installation

    Hi
I just downloaded the iPhone SDK, and was about to install. I already have the latest version of XCode installed.
During the installation process, I see that the SDK has some common components that are already present with XCode. Would it be a problem if I try to reinstall these components ?
Or should I select the iPhone SDK component alone and proceed with the install ?
Any suggestions / advice on this would be great.
    Regards,
    Vinay

    XCode 3.0 comes with Leopard.
XCode 3.1 comes with the SDK.
There's a Readme somewhere that tells you about this. It suggests that if you don't want to overwrite your XCode 3.0 then you can specify, during installation, that 3.1 should be installed in a different location.
Whether there's any harm in replacing 3.0 with 3.1 I don't know, but clearly some people are worried enough about it for the parallel installation to be documented.

  • My J2EE 1.4 SDK installation doesn't work (j2eesdk-1_4_03-windows.exe)

    Hi!
I think that this is a very curious case. The preparation of the installation is completely right (it loads the Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, extract the files). The first screen appears and I click on next, I agree with the software license and click to go next. In the third screen is where the matter happens, I leave the default Installation Directory (C:\Sun\AppServer) and click on next button but the interface is frozen, not more screens are shown, I can move the mouse and even I can execute perfectly the button Browse, and minimize, maximize and close button but the bottom buttons line doesn't work (Back, Next, Cancel, Help), I have left the screen for hours and nothing happens, I only close the interface without installing the sdk.
I try to install j2eesdk-1_4_03-windows.exe on WIndows XP SP3 (before it was SP2 but I changed to test the install but it doesn't work too), I have installed the Java SE Runtime Environment 6 and Java (TM) Update 12, too I have the Java(TM) SE Development Kit 6 and J2ME Wireless Toolkit 2.2, all of them without problems.
I put a link to my frozen screen [http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/6911/j2ee14sdkinstalattionwi.jpg]
PD: sorry for my bad English.

    Hi.

  • Java EE SDK Installation problems...

I have been having a great deal of difficulty installing the
Java EE SDK application from this downloaded file
    java_ee_sdk-5_02-windows.exe
The installation appears to proceed normally for a while then aborts with a dialog that references the installation log.
I have tried installing this a couple of times and every time it fails, I have deleted the C:\SUN\... folder and the installation script tells me that the folder is still present and requires a new folder for installation.
I assume that there is some leftover junk in the registry that is upsetting things, but this still doesn't explain why the installation log is complaining that it can't find some path somewhere...

  • Installation & Integrating Publisher with Presentation Service

    Hello All,
I installed presentation services on one machine (let's A) on IIS, BI publisher & BI Servers are on other machine (B) on OC4J. since, i can't directly use IIS for BI Publisher as per the documentation.
    Installation went well.
After logging into my publisher, i configured integration part of presentation service which points to machine: A. And, at this place, i'm able to browse the BI
Answer report & can see the results in xml view. Also, able to navigate to dashboard from publisher.
But, if i try to browse any bi publisher report, which is in Machine: B, i'm getting error: An error occured while connecting to BI Publisher Enterprise. Please contact your administrator.
Can, somebody helps me in browse publisher reports & run them.

    Got it,
it's happened because, i didn't congifure xmlpserver tags of instanceconfig.ini to the machine name, where publisher is installed.

  • SDK installer locks up in WinME

I'm trying to install the J2SE SDK on my 'new' computer (although it's really used...) and when it gets to the part where it says "Configuring Windows Installer" it just sits there and hangs with an hourglass pointer. It takes ctrl-alt-del to get rid of the window. Any suggestions?

Never mind, it's not locked up, it's just going ridiculously slow. Problem solved :-)
