Search Error in Compiled WebHelp
I am using RoboHelp X5.02. When the WebHelp system is placed
on the web server, and a user attempts to use the search feature,
the results only say "Searching..." and a message appears in the
status bar: "Error on page."
For at least two years the search feature was working
perfectly. This error starting appearing recently.
When I test locally on my own computer, I do not receive this
error. However, when it is placed on the web server (not using
Enterprise), the search does not work.
This help system is fairly extensive, comprising about 600
text files and well over 1500 image files.
Does anybody have a solution to this error?
Thanks,
Anne
It is possible that an entry in the search database is not
pointing to the correct location.
But the problem is server response time, I think.
RH divides the search chores by using a multilevel database.
Keywords and pointers are grouped alphabetically into several
files. They reside in the whdata, whgdata and whxdata folders. A
master file says, for example, that Aardvark to Donkey is in the
first one, Dumbo to Fox in the second, and so on.
The search looks first in the master file and consults only
the relevant file, which makes it faster than starting with A.
However (I'm guessing here), this depends on all the files being
resident on the PC. When the search goes looking for a hunk of the
database that isn't loaded, you get the error.
You can test this. When you search for something beginning
with "A", does it work better than for a keyword starting with "T"?
Does a search for a "G" word sometimes work, and sometimes
not?
Same for the index, except the index starts to load before
you enter the term. If it's not completely loaded, it works for A
but maybe not for Xylophone.
This brings me to my favorite pet peeve.
Disclaimer: I am not an expert in the following subject, but
have a strong hunch. Feel free to disregard or correct me.
The number of impediments to server response time is growing.
Let's assume hardware and transmission lines are not to blame.
Programs that run network traffic cops and source authentication
now look into some places where they previously did not, I believe.
Maybe at the packet level?
When the highway's smooth and the weather's clear for a
caravan, how many tollbooths are ahead?
As I say, I hope some networking/security expert will explain
why I'm wrong.

What is wrong with the way it is coded?The error message tells you what's wrong: You're trying to reference a non-static variable from a static context.
If you don't know what that means, then click the link I provided and look at the results from that google search. You might have to go through a few before you find a satisfactory explanation. And after you've done that, if you have specific questions about things you didn't understand there, please post again. -
Search Not Working in WebHelp - Suspected Java Issue
The Search function in our output WebHelp system is not working from one user's laptop. The WebHelp is generated from our RoboHelp 8. Search does work in everyone else's access to the system. This Windows 7 laptop displays an "Error on Page" message when he enters a search value and then chooses the Search button. He says the same error occurs for the Index. Because no other users have this problem, we are definitely thinking it's something in his laptop configuration for Java - as we see the JS file references in the error details, as shown below.
The details for the "Error on Page" message are referencing the following messages and JS files
Index error messages in details:
Object doesn't support this property or method - whthost.js
'innerHeight' is undefined - whutils.js
Search error messages in details:
Object doesn't support this property or method - whthost.js
'innerHeight' is undefined - whutils.js
'gaFakes[...].nB' is null or not an object - whhost.js
'Node' is undefined - whfhost.js
What should he check in his Java? He's using Java 6, Standard Edition, update 16. Any ideas or suggestions about what he should check on this laptop? I would appreciate your help and expertise in solving this mystery! Hopefully I've provided enough details here - but let me know what else I need to provide.
Thanks so much,
SusanWe were getting this error sometimes.
I modified the code in wsutils.js as follows:
Original code:
function getClientHeight()
if(gbSafari3)
return innerHeight; //this is for safari
return document.body.clientHeight; }
New code:
function getClientHeight()
return document.body.clientHeight;
Seems to work (at the cost I guess of losing support for safari browsers - but I haven't tested that), but I can't test that it never fails because it was an intermittent fault...

Error by compiling gcc: libcloog-isl.so.1 not found
Hello
I am trying to build gcc with the default PKGBUILD which I get trough of ABS.
When I run makepkg, I get this message:
checking for C compiler default output file name...
configure: error: in `/home/zuargo/Paquetes/gcc/src/gcc-build':
configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables
See `config.log' for more details.
config.log in a line says:
/usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.6.1/cc1: error while loading shared libraries: libcloog-isl.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Here the whole config.log file.
So I searched for libcloog-isl.so.1 on my system. It is not installed on my system:
$ pacman -Ql | grep libcloog-isl.so.1
$
I have searched for the file (libcloog-isl.so.1) in the Archlinux's packages web page. I obtained this as result:
http://www.archlinux.org/packages/core/ … oog/files/
But cloog package does not provide libcloog-isl.so.1, instead it provides libcloog-isl.so.2 and libcloog-isl.so
Any idea?zuargo wrote:/usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.6.1/cc1: error while loading shared libraries: libcloog-isl.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
That's the compiler installed on your machine breaking because your packages are out of date, or you're attempting to compile and maintain the package yourself. -
Error when compiling: "asm/errno.h: No such file or directory"
Ok, so I've got this error while compiling some app written in C:
In file included from /usr/include/bits/errno.h:25,
from /usr/include/errno.h:36,
from /usr/include/python2.6/Python.h:40,
from config.c:18:
/usr/include/linux/errno.h:4:23: error: asm/errno.h: No such file or directory
make: *** [config.o] Error 1
I've tried to google it, people said I needed to make some symlinks, but it didn't work. I've also tried update (pacman -Syu), but that didn't help as well. Do you have any solutions?
ThanksThanks,
I was searching for a soltion like GCC Path and something with include or something but this worked instead..:) -
I am a newbie in the forums, i recently installed arch x86_64 and am having a hard time building packages, i did install base-devel , gcc gcc-fortran gcc-obc..........all that stuff i also installed all the base devel stuff...like fakeroot,flex....(all the base devel stuff) but not luck, when i try 'makepkg -s' it still brings this error ---> " configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables" or sometimes --> configure: error: C++ compiler cannot create executables , i googled a bit on possible solutions, i came acroos similar post but the newbie was not using x86_64, i tried reinstalling GCC but to no avail whats the problem?

Aborting...
I could not find the indicated config.log file.
I installed all the dependencies indicated in the wiki, but I have a feeling I must be missing basic in my configuration. Both gcc and base-devel are installed. I've also run makepkg as root. What amI doing wrong?

Hello everyone.
I am trying to compile my investigation code using the sun studio 12 update 1.
i can compile correctly and run without problems if i don't activate openmp.
when i add the flag -xopenmp i get the error:
sun.compile.c++ /home/riccardo/sun_kratos/kratos/applications/incompressible_fluid_application/bin/sun-5.10/release/stdlib-sun-stlport/threading-multi/add_custom_strategies_to_python.o

my problem is that it is really little descriptive ...
could anyone give me an idea about what this Assertion stuff means?
this is the only error i have left ... but i really do not understand what it means :-(
any help is welcome
thank you
Riccardo
P.S. please answer also at [email protected]The compiler assertion means the C++ parser got itself into an "impossible" situation and had to abort. Specifically, it thought it was at the end of a full expression, but also seemed not to be at the top of the parse tree -- contradiction, no way to continue.
There is no way to know what caused the problem, or to fix it in the compiler, without a test case. The abort is always a compiler bug, and we don't like the compiler to abort.
You might be able to narrow down the problem by binary search. In any case, you can file a bug report at [http://bugs.sun.com]. You will be asked for a test case, which could be larger than anything you could reasonably post in the forum.
For faster and better service, you can get a support contract with Sun. Support options are here:

public function function1():void{
obj.addEventListener(MyEvent.
MY_EVENT_TYPE,
function onEvent(event:Event):void {
function2(classname);
public function function2(className:String):void{
var objClass:Class =
getDefinitionByName(classNameStr) as Class;
if (objClass != null) {
myContent = (UIComponent(new objClass()));
But if I put the code in the same function instead, it throws up an error on compiling (without even specifying the class which has the error.)
The code:
public function function1():void{
obj.addEventListener(MyEvent.
MY_EVENT_TYPE,
function onEvent(event:Event):void {
var objClass:Class = getDefinitionByName(classNameStr) as Class;
if (objClass != null) {
myContent = (UIComponent(new objClass()));
The error:

What is wrong with the way it is coded?The error message tells you what's wrong: You're trying to reference a non-static variable from a static context.
If you don't know what that means, then click the link I provided and look at the results from that google search. You might have to go through a few before you find a satisfactory explanation. And after you've done that, if you have specific questions about things you didn't understand there, please post again. -
Compile Webhelp from Command Line
I downloaded the trial version of RoboHelp 7 and had some
issues running in trial mode on my Vista machine. After much
frustration, I gave up and got it to work on my XP machine. The
main reason why the developers want me to upgrade to RoboHelp 7 is
for the compile via command line feature enhancement. I have been
tasked to test it out.
Well, I could not find any instructions in the online help
nor on the Adobe website on what to key in the command line when
compiling Webhelp. So I need some assistance. Can anyone provide
this information?
Also, I have conditional tags applied to the project. Do you
have to add any additional code to the command line?Welcome to the forum.
Go to Tools | Options and select the Use Offline Help option.
Then search again on command line. -

The device is not ready.Larry,
I have an online backup that is backing up the data, the SBS backup worked the day before, but failed last night.
The forum said I couldn't post a link, so I modified it below. Spaces are slashes.

Below are two of the errors that I'm getting. Maybe if I fix sharepoint search, then that would fix my problem??

Error while compiling model in Visual Composer 7.1.
Hi,
I am getting a error while compiling model in Visual Composer 7.1.
An exception occurred at the server while running the build process, reason: Extension with id com.sap.vc.runtimeproviders.null not found. For more details please refer to the log file.
Can any one please tell me what the error is?Hello
This problem usually indicates the model Runtime provider is not set properly
Please goto configure pane and check the RT provider that is et for the model or any other model in the same DC
Also services usages require this property to be set accordingly
To make sure the services are set properly please look into the configuration pane when the respective service usage is selected (and check the same)
Please let me know if this helped or not
