Search of BADI

Halo Guys,
I am searching for a BADI in transaction code VI02. Once we enter into a shipment cost No., then double click on any item. Now at the bottom, there is a tab called "Delivery Item". In that there is a field called "Active". I want that field to be input enabled.
I have searched for BADIs & User exit , but i couldn't get it.
Can anyone tell me is this requirement possible, if yes, how???

I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting-extensions-themes Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide ] and the [[Troubleshooting plugins]] article as well.

Reformatting and zeroing out might keep a drive going a bit longer, but once bad blocks become noticeable, it's not a drive you should trust any longer.

Search for BADIS in 4.6c

I am looking for a BADI to change a PO Item in 4.6c. THe is no user exit that exists that will allow me to change the item data.
In searching for the BADI, I went to SE18 and looked at all existing definitions and there is nothing that resembles what I am looking for (I know that BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST exists in some version of SAP but I don't see it in 4.6c)
I also search my BAPI and the transaction for 'exithandler' and do not find that in the code.
I am missing anything ? Does this pretty much tell me that a BADI does not exist to change the PO in 4.6c?

You are right, there is no user-exit nor a BADI to change any standard fields of the PO. Only user-defined fields may be changed.

1>First go to any transaction->iN THE menu bar SYSTEM->STATUS->Get the program name ->double click->u will go to the program attached to the tcode.Now search term will be CALL CL_EXITHANDLER.Now u will get list of BADI'S available..
2>Goto SE24->Give class name as CL_EXITHANDLER->Display->double click on get_instance mathod->Now u will go inside the method->Now put break point on the cl_exithandler.Now go to any transaction code and pass dat..U will see that it will be stopped on the break point which u set on the cl_exithandler...In the exit name u can find list of badi's attached to the tcode..

Finding BADI Using CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE
Finding BADI Using SQL Trace (TCODE-ST05).
Finding BADI Using Repository Information System (TCODE- SE84).
1. Go to the Transaction, for which we want to find the BADI, take the example of Transaction VD02. Click on System->Status. Double click on the program name. Once inside the program search for CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE.
Make sure the radio button In main program is checked. A list of all the programs with call to the BADIs will be listed.
The export parameter EXIT_NAME for the method GET_INSTANCE of class CL_EXITHANDLER will have the user exit assigned to it. The changing parameter INSTANCE will have the interface assigned to it. Double click on the method to enter the source code.Definition of Instance would give you the Interface name.
2. Start transaction ST05 (Performance Analysis).

3. Go to Maintain Transaction (TCODE- SE93).
Enter the Transaction VD02 for which you want to find BADI.
Click on the Display push buttons.
Get the Package Name. (Package VS in this case)

Enter the Package Name and Execute.
Here you get a list of all the Enhancement BADIs for the given package MB.
The simplese way for finding BADI is
1. chooes Tcode Program & package for that Tcode.
2. Go to Tcode se18
3. Press F4
4. search by package or by program.

1.Get the Package of the program name of the transaction.
2.Go to Transaction SE18.
3.Press F4 on the badi definition name.
4.Click the information systems button.
5.Give the Package name and press enter.
6.Select the BADI that is relevant to the application.

Searching BAdIs for a specific Transaction
There are multiple ways of searching for BAdIs of a particular Transaction. Here are some ways.
METHOD 1:
This is using the search term CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE.
This procedure to discover BAdIs by a search term will be explained using the example used below.
Example case
I want to know which BAdIs are called in the transaction "Sales Orders" transaction code VA01.
Procedure:
Go to the transaction SE93. Give the tcode VA01 and get the program name. Double click the program name (or copy the program name and go to SE38 transaction and give the program name and select the push button DISPLAY or go to the transaction VA01  SYSTEM  Status  Double click the program name).
Now click the button FIND NEXT (CNTL+G). The following screen will come.
In the Find column, give the search term CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE and choose the In main program radio button. Press ENTER.
In the CALL METHOD CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE export parameters the EXIT_NAME value EHS_PS_002 is the BADI name. The difficulty in this method is you have to collect the BAdI names based on the no. of hits of the search.
Now go to SE18 transaction, give the BAdI name and find out the implementations of the BAdI, if any. Or you can create your own implementation using Tcode SE19.

Why can't I use the Yahoo! search function? I get the following message: "Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)"

I cannot search on Yahoo! but Google works fine (inasmuch as you can trust Google)
The simplest of searches yields "Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)" on the first try. I have gone through Yahoo!'s trouble shooting process w/o results.

Yahoo search engine still doesn't work, and Google does. Other programs on my computer are:
Norton Internet Security;
Norton Utilities;
Verizon In-home agent; (I don't use it, but have a Verizon wireless router);
Windows Explorer (I reset it but still can't use Yahoo search even though Google works fine)
I am paranoid that some how the evil Google has sabotaged Yahoo search! HELP!!!

How to search for (new) BAdIs?

Hi,
I found some forum threads, blogs, and wikis in sdn about "How to search for BAdIs".
Here the list I found:
1. SE18 u2013 BADI Definition
2. SE81 u2013 Application Hierarchy
3. SPRO u2013 SAP IMG Reference
4. SE84 u2013 Object Navigator u2013 Repository Information System
5. SPAU_ENH (ECC6.0) u2013 Enhancements -> Simple or Composite (spots, implementations, sections, upgrades)
6. ST05 u2013 SQL Trace -> Buffer Trace
7. SE24 -> CL_EXITHANDLER -> Breakpoint at Method GET_INSTANCE -> Run Transaction -> Exit_name -> BADI name
The fastest ways are ST05 and SE24, I think. Are there such effective ways for the new, kernel based BAdIs? ST05 and CL_EXITHANDLER with debugger donu2019t work.

Hi,
Missed one more method
The below steps should enable you to find any BADI related to any transaction in a matter of minutes.
Go to the transaction SE37 to find your function module.
Locate the function SXV_GET_CLIF_BY_NAME.
Put a breakpoint there.
Now open a new session.
Go to your transaction.
Goto the screen where you want to find any BADI available, it will stop in this function.
Double click on the function field EXIT_NAME.
That will give you name of the BADI that is provided in your transaction.
Again execute and it stop again and fill with new BADI name if any
Repeat the same step and you come to know how many BADI exist

If I have a BADI . I want to know in how many transaction it will trigger.

Problem (Exit/Badi)

Hi All
Please try to solve my problem which is described below.
I have one Delivery Number for a specific Customer, For which I am creating Invoice using VF01.
But when I complete the VF01 and press save it shows Message as "Document <Number> created". But After that message flashing in status bar when I press BACK button or any other button/key one Express Mail message comes in front of me which says "Update was Terminated" and in the mail below info is written along with some other system info
Error Info : ZDSD_EF_BILLING 042 :No home office could be determined for [Sold -to]
Problem is : I want to find out from where this Message/mail is coming out...
I have followed below Approach but it dint work :
1) I searched all exits searching customer-function in SAPMV60A...But it dint work.
2) Also I searched all BADi's comeing while saving VF01 but the list is too big and I am not getting what I am looking for.
Please suggest something

Z_TEST_EDI EDI / TIBCO Invoice Output
Even I put braek point in all the statement where the class ZDSD_EF_BILLING number 042 is used but it is not stopping at any point.
There is no output type mentioned in the Delivery or Invoice.
Even I tried your suggetion But I was not able to find the path SPRO>SD>BILLING>OUTPUT>OUTPUT TYPES and was unable to procede.
Please help me again

UE or BADI within MIGO Posting

Hi all.
I need to call Z transaction within the posting action of MIGO process. I had tried to use MB_MIGO_BADI and MB_DOCUMENT_BADI but when I tried to write set up a break point it didn't stop there.
Does anyone has an idea about a specific user-exit or BADI ?

Creation of BADI's Definition, why?

Hello everyone,
i hope someone can explain to me, why we should create BADI's definition.
This is my point:
BADI's are enhancements, that are available in the Standard SAP, to offer the possibilty of changing/improving the standard code to respond correctly to a company/customer needs. Customer can implement these definitions.
So, even if we create a new BADI definition, this could'n be trigger/active by/in the standard code.
So, the possibility of creating "customer" BADIS definition, is for when you develop a customer program, and you want to create an enhancements in that development?
I associate the BADI's definition to enhancements made by SAP developers in SAP Standard, and badi's implementation to customer developers.
It's like an analogy with SMOD( SAP ) and CMOD (CUSTOMER).
Could somone explain to me, the benefits from creating BADI's definition's from customer point of view?

Business add-ins are enhancements to the standard version of the system.
Business Add-In is a new SAP enhancement technique based on ABAP Objects.
They can be inserted into the SAP system based on specific user requirements.
Each Business Add-In has:
at least one Business Add-In definition
a Business Add-In interface
a Business Add-In class that implements the interface
In order to enhance a program, a Business Add-In must first be defined
Subsequently two classes are automatically generated:
An interface with IF_EX_ inserted between the first and second characters of the BADI name.
An adapter class with CL_EX_ inserted between the first and second characters of the BADI name.
The Application developer creates an interface for this Add-In.
There are multiple ways of searching for BADI.
Finding BADI Using CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE
Finding BADI Using SQL Trace (TCODE-ST05).
Finding BADI Using Repository Information System (TCODE- SE84).
1. Go to the Transaction, for which we want to find the BADI, take the example of Transaction VD02. Click on System->Status. Double click on the program name. Once inside the program search for CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE.
Make sure the radio button In main program is checked. A list of all the programs with call to the BADIs will be listed.
The export parameter EXIT_NAME for the method GET_INSTANCE of class CL_EXITHANDLER will have the user exit assigned to it. The changing parameter INSTANCE will have the interface assigned to it. Double click on the method to enter the source code.Definition of Instance would give you the Interface name.
2. Start transaction ST05 (Performance Analysis).
Set flag field "Buffer trace"
Remark: We need to trace also the buffer calls, because BADI database tables are buffered. (Especially view V_EXT_IMP and V_EXT_ACT)
Push the button "Activate Trace". Start transaction VA02 in a new GUI session. Go back to the Performance trace session.
Push the button "Deactivate Trace".
Push the button "Display Trace".
The popup screen "Set Restrictions for Displaying Trace" appears.
Now, filter the trace on Objects:
V_EXT_IMP
V_EXT_ACT
Push button "Multiple selections" button behind field Objects
Fill: V_EXT_IMP and V_EXT_ACT
All the interface class names of view V_EXT_IMP start with IF_EX_. This is the standard SAP prefix for BADI class interfaces. The BADI name is after the IF_EX_.
So the BADI name of IF_EX_CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA is CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA
3. Go to Maintain Transaction (TCODE- SE93).
Enter the Transaction VD02 for which you want to find BADI.
Click on the Display push buttons.
Get the Package Name. (Package VS in this case)
Go to TCode: SE84->Enhancements->Business Add-inns->Definition
Enter the Package Name and Execute.
Here you get a list of all the Enhancement BADIs for the given package MB.
