Search text programatically with axAcroPDF control

Hello,
i want to use the axAcroPDF control to display PDF files inside my windows forms application. That's easy just put the control there and call LoadFile method. The control has methods to change page, hide toolbar etc... but not to search text. I want to search text, if possible matching exact phrase or not. I need to do that programatically, do you know how can i do that?

I am reading a text file which contains database records. I am able to search with lastname(the user enters it in the textfield using GUI frontend). this search useus stringtokenizers. take the users input and search all the tokens and see which token matches the key and prints that record. Can someone please give me some advice to do a search using both last name and first name at the same time. In this case i will have to do a seach using 2 tokens which i dont know how to do. thanks.

[CS2][JS] Search text & replace with inline Image

I am working with a large layout with many entries. There is a text "placeholder" that I need to search for and replace with an inline image in that exact spot.
I need to apply an Object Style to that image.
There is a loop above this for each find/replace to perfom
I have supplied samples to show what the variables will hold
The following assumes that an Objectstyle named "image" exists

This doesn't apply the style to the placed object and I have tried many different ways to apply this in the properties.
Any help would be appreciated.

I've seem to hit another hurdle....
The code works well for searching and replacing the images. It applies the style to the image, but these images are not inline they are anchored. I ended up with a nice stack of images in the same corner.
Ok... I need to then apply styles based on the images that have been placed already..
This works well for cycling through the pages and with a bit more will change the style...

What I need to do is kind of combine the two....
But I can't seem to get the current page of the selected image....
I could use the page by page script, but it moves the character anchor point of images and pushes them to the next page. This throws off the pretty layout I'm going for.
What am I doing wrong here ?

How to change the width of textbox in Search Texts iview

Hi, Experts,
     I creat a search texts iview with stardard configuration to search the data in the repository.
The problem is that the width of textbox is too short. And the user will input more than 40 characters in the textbox.
   In this way, the users can't see all the information unless he put the mouse pointer in the textbox and drag it.
   Is there any stardard configuration in MDM or MDM Portal to increase the width of textbox?

I tried this but seems like there is no property available to change this setting. As these iViews are standard shipped, we cannot modify the design or code.

How do i control 2 text boxes with 1 scroll bar? (CS4)

I want to control 2 Dynamic Text boxs with the 1 scroll bar component? I want them to scroll simultaneously with the user only needing to use the one component. Thank you in advance for your help

The textfields should have the same number of lines. You can have the scrollbar (sb) assigned to one textfield (t1) and then have an event listener/handler for the scrollbar adjust the other textfield's (t2) scrollV property to match the first one's scrollV property:

Text search returns results with some keywords, but not others

This pertains to a tours website for Turkey. I've sucessfully
set up a search form, and results page which returns results when
multiple keywords are entered. Everything is working well, except
when certain keywords are used. For example, the table column being
searched for is called long_itinerary, so if anyone is interested
in a certain site or city, it's bound to be in the long itinerary
somewhere.
Here's the problem, by example: When someone searches with
the keywords Antalya, Konya, Ankara, or Adana, for example, results
are returned from the database, and those keywords are in each
returned tour's long itinerary.
But certain keywords return nothing, even when they're in
practically all of the tours, in the long_itinerary column. For
example, Istanbul, Ephesus, and Izmir, Kusadasi and Pergamum return
no results, even though they're there. I've gone through all of the
most likely keywords, and these are the offenders. If, for example,
I search with "Istanbul Ankara," I get results with tours including
Ankara (and Istanbul, but only because the word "Ankara" is in the
itinerary).
First I made sure the Charset values were the same on the
search form page and the results page. Still had the problem. Next,
I went into the database itself, and copied the word "Istanbul"
directly from the long_itinerary column of the database, and pasted
it into the search function's text field, and searched again. Same
problem--no results returned.
I can't see any difference between the keywords which work
correctly, and those which don't, what baffles me is that even when
I copy a keyword directly from the database and paste it in the
search text field, it returns no results!
Well, I'm baffled! Any ideas what might cause this?

Hmm -- one of my customers is a turkish building company
(Kusadasi BTW), and when *they* add some contents to the DB,
they´ll be entering turkish chars. It´s in particular the
turkish "I" which is pretty different, and this is when a search
for keywords containing a western "I" will fail.
Could that be the problem in your case ?

Changing the BG colour of a chunk of text is not easy. It can be done with some imaging-lingo hoop-jumping, or by having a pool of shape sprites that can be dynamically allocated, sized and positioned.

Lines in what? And what language are you using to develop with?
Are the lines in a text file? A RichTextBox? A TextBox? Some other control? A List(Of String)?
Is there some expectation by you that by providing what you wrote in your question post that the knowledge in your mind about what you are thinking about will mysteriously emanate to anybody reading your post so all of the sudden your knowledge will
become their knowledge and they will be able to provide you with an answer as they will suddenly understand what you are trying to do? Because that's probably impossible. Most people try providing enough information in a question so anybody, even stupid people

Tranfering data from alv display to a transaction with table control.

Hi all,
I am having some problem transfering data from my alv display to a trasaction which needs to display some values in a table control base on criterias which I have selected from my alv report.
When selecting an entry in my alv report.
1. The program should check whether there is an entry in a z table(already created), if so it retrieves data fro the z table base on the selected criteria.
2.otherwise it search from the data from other tables and then saves it in the z table and display the values in the tc.
my program is as follows.
FORM button_click USING p_ucomm TYPE sy-ucomm
                        p_selfield TYPE slis_selfield.
CASE p_ucomm.
    WHEN 'SALES'.
      READ TABLE gt_alvdisplay
      INDEX p_selfield-tabindex
      INTO gs_alvdisplay.
      SET PARAMETER ID: *I dont know how to pass the para to the tc.....
      CALL TRANSACTION 'ztrans_test".
ENDFORM.
Note: TC is already created and it retrieves data from the z table but am having prob just to pass the parameters.

Yes you can create text field without using screen painter as follows:
PARAMETERS P1 TYPE CHAR12 MEMORY ID mid.
Here, this code will create text box with name P1 and parameter id "mid"
You can assign meaning text to p1 using menu link GO TO --> TEXT ELEMENTS --> SELECTION TEXTS.
So before call transaction which contains this field you can write below statement.
SET PARAMETER ID mid VALUE <value variable>.
* Here vlaue variable is the variable from which you want to pass value to parameter id mid.

Sorry, something went wrong - Open Office File from Search Results Page with Office Web Apps

Hi,
I'm getting "Sorry, something went wrong" error when I'm trying to open any office document from inside Search Results Page with Office Web Apps, the same error is appearing in the document preview as well.
The error in SharePoint logs says that the file cannot be found.
Please note that this error is coming only when the "Filename" of the document is not written in English (in my case its written with Arabic characters).
If I try to open it from the document library, its opening properly with no errors.
The only difference between two URLs (document URL in Search Results and in Document Library) is the value for "sourcedoc" attribute;
In the case of Search Results page, the filename in "sourcedoc" attribute is kept as is with Arabic characters.
While in the Document Library, the filename in "sourcedoc" attribute is converted into different characters (something like: "B9%D9%85%D9%8").
Anybody have an idea on how to overcome this issue, implement a workaround or modify the "sourcedoc" behavior?

Thanks for your efforts, I already tried your last suggestion before, but this didn't solve my problem.
Actually my end users are accessing this portal using ADFS and HTTPS.
Finally I got this solved, I have done below to get my overall solution working perfectly:
- First I have configured Windows Authentication and ADFS Authentication on the same zone which is the default zone.
- The issue when opening office documents with Arabic file name has disappeared as a result of first change.
- Then I have faced an issue where we are not able to crawl content under Default zone, however we have to do so, after too many efforts, I found that its related to the Load-balancer/proxy, I have made the crawler server
to crawl himself (http://CrawlServerName:PortNumber).
- Also a change on Alternate Access Mapping was needed, I have set one of the extended zones (which is running Windows Authentication only) as Internal URL for the Default Zone, and this is was the URL I used for Crawling.
I have configured Server Name Mappings to make sure we got proper URLs in Search Results.
- Then we faced another issue, which is Authentication selection on login page (How to bypass this page, and authenticate using ADFS auto), I used this solution (Set Custom Sign In Page):

- I faced one more issue as a result of above workaround; Sign Out functionality wasn't working well; users get logged in automatically whenever I click on Sign Out. I solved this by modifying the "Sign Out" Control under _layouts;
I made it to redirect users to ADFS Sign Out Page instead of SharePoint Sign Out Page (I know its not recommended, but I don't have any other option).

When I print a text document with images the printer stops printing and cancels the print job when it starts to print any image.

I would be happy to provide some suggestions that may resolve the issue. I can see that the printer cancels the jobs when you add a photo to you text document. The first thing I suggest is to remove the printer by resetting the print system. After the printer is removed re-add the printer and try printing the document again.
To reset the printing system:
1. Click the Apple icon at the top left of the computer
2. Click System Preferences
3. Click Printers and Scanners
4. Hold down the "control" key on the keyboard and click with the mouse in the white space bellow the printer
5. Click reset printing system dropdown
6. It may ask for Mac ID and will color wheel for a moment until the printer is removed
To re-add the printer:
1. Click the Apple icon at the top left of the computer
2. Click System Preferences
3. Click Printers and Scanners
4. Click the plus (+) icon under the printers list
5. Select your printer
6. Choose HP ENVY 7640 series in the dropdown next to "use" or "print using"
7. Click add

How can I search for partial matching words in various columns without needing to provide search text?

I have a list of names in three columns - B2:B425, D2:406, & E2:30 where they were input by different people, so the names are worded differently. For example, I can have the name "Handler, Jones, & Wright" and someone else has the name
listed as "Handler Corp." What I need is to find a formula or VBA macro code that can search through my list and notice the possible duplicates and highlight them. Since they are all different names, I cannot give it a unique "text" to
search.
I found a code posted in this forum from some time ago (for two columns) but it highlighted all these names that had no partial words in common. Perhaps you can look over the code below and modify it for me or provide me with another one? Please let me know

How can I separate the "Icons and Text" of the browser control buttons (Back, Forward, etc.) from the Icons on the Add-on toolbar?

At home, this is not an issue. I don't know why it's different here at work--same installation, same settings (as far as I can tell).

I have a NoScript add-on icon in the corner, which works fine. If I add a GreaseMonkey icon from the Customize menu, the "Icon and Text" appears for that icon, like the Icon and Text from the browser controls (Home, stop, etc). Other add-on icons also show Icon and Text (S4E, for instance). NoScript is the only one I've found so far which collapses down to just an Icon.
This leads to the status (add-on) bar having a much larger height than I like. Essentially what I want is for only the Icon to appear in the Status bar (Add-on toolbar), while keeping Icons and Text in the Browser controls. My current workaround is simply removing the other add-on icons from the status (add-on) toolbar, but that takes away the ease of toggling and setting options.
Please tell me if I can provide you with anything else, and thanks for your help.

Surely there must be some UserChrome.css that will solve this problem. Something like this:
