Searching for international top music charts

I'm getting very frustrated in my search for international hits. I go to the bottom of the itunes store page and click other country but most of the other countries only have the most popular apps.Day by day my frustration grows. It used to be so easy to find old top 40 charts or find what the rest of the world was listening to. Somebody help me please.

Many other countries have no music at all available for sale. If all you see in a given country's iTunes Store are apps, Apple has not been able to negotiate rights, or get past legal and/or infrastructure hurdles, so as to be able to offer music and other media content in those countries.
For other countries, since the content owners do not allow cross-border sales, Apple understandably tailors the "what's hot" lists to the country of the iTunes Store.
If you want to see what's popular compiled internationally, you'll need to look elsewhere; you won't see such a categorization in the iTunes Store. As to the Top 40 charts from Billboard and other such providers, Apple removed those a couple of years ago or more, probably due to licensing issues.

hi,
just bought two albums in the music store. now i activated my second computer searched for purchased music and it only found 4 of more than 20 purchased tracks. when i try to buy it again it first said that i already bought it and i can sync (which didn't work then) or i should burn the music to a cd/dvd and transfer it manually. nice function crappy implementation!
sorry for the complicated subject with all the slashes. got a german version of itunes and don't know how the english option for that function is called.

I switched to German as system language and now see what you mean.
'Computer aktivieren...' means to authorize your computer to play purchased music.
You are allowed to download purchased music only once.
It looks like 4 of the songs were not downloaded yet on computer 1.
So when you authorized your second computer, it downloaded the missing songs.
If the above is true, these 4 songs are missing on computer 1.
Um zu verstehen was Aktivieren bedeutet, bitte zuerst mal diese seite lesen (please read the Authorization FAQ first)
Just transfer the purchased songs (using a memory stick, external drive, ethernet, CD or DVD) from 1 computer to the other.
Because you're allowed to download the songs only once it is highly recommended to create a backup copy.

Search for keyword within musical genre

Trying to help my wife find a children's song on a particular topic for her kindergarten class. How does one conduct a search for a keyword WITHIN a particular genre? For example, how do I search for "Friday" or "Weekend" within the Children's Music genre?

I didn't see an obvious way to do it in the iTunes Store, since Power Search does not have a genre choice.
At the Amazon.com MP3 Download Store, you can go directly to Children's Music and do the search.

How can I find Top music charts for any type of music? Reggae, French etc.

Itunes used to have a way to see all the charts for any type of music. 60's, international, Latin, but I don't see a way to find this anymore. Can anybody help me?

Charts by those categories no longer exist in the iTunes Store, unless they've been hidden somewhere I can't find. Most of those charts were compiled by Billboard and were removed at least a couple of years ago, probably due to licensing issues.
You can, however, hover your cursor over the Music tab, click the arrow, and select the listed genres, and the page for that genre will list the Top Songs for that genre only.

Search for internal HDD

Hi all,
In an archived thread, a poster warned to make sure when purchasing the Western Digital internal drive (250 GB) to make sure it was the WD2500BEVE model and not a SATA. When I search that model, I found an Amazon page with a drive that "appears" close, but the model is one off;there's an "S" at the end instead of "E". Is this just the next one up & therefore ok to purchase, or should I really stick to the exact model & only BEVE on the end?

On the Western Digital web site, it says that the BEVS model is the SATA interface (which won't work in a Powerbook), and the BEVE model is the EIDE/parallel interface, which is what you'd want for your Powerbook. Searching for lost itunes music.

I had my Itunes all set up on my work laptop, when changed jobs I returned the laptop. I now have a personal laptop I've authorized it and opened my itunes account but most of my music is missing. Any suggestions about how to retrieve it. Thanks

E-Recruiting - Internal Candidates not displayed in candidate search, job postings not visible for internal candidates in job search

Hi Friends,
We are on EREC standalone model. Initial data transfer between HR to EREC master data using PFAL is done.
All employees have got NA, CP, US, BP in HRP 1001 in EREC system.
Change pointers are also activated in HCM system, now current master data changes are also in reflecting in EREC system thro IDOC posting.
But when recruiter logs into portal and does a candidate search, no internal candidates are appearing ?
1) What needs to be done for internal candidates to visible during candidate search ?
2) Also while logged as internal candidate, released requisitions are not visible for internal candidates while they try to search for internal job postings ?
Kindly provide your inputs.

How shall we only search the internal candidate in the candidate: prospect pool, Candidate: individual , Candidate : Resume search,
or vacancy--> applicant search. I just need to search for internal candidate excluding the external applicant. Any option or customization suggestion please

Hi,
On any tab there is email, you can use the same to filter down on internal applicants (using the @company.com) in the end. On the applicant tab, there is a search for employee and ex-employee, enable the drop-down.
Customization is possible but will be tricky as these pages use the advanced search pattern in OA framework and so, extensions are harder to do, though not impossible.

Having problems searching for music

I just recently encountered a problem searching for music on the Itunes store. I searched under song title, and it didn't bring up any results. Then I searched for the same music under artist, and the music came up. What's weird here is that the music was always there, but it's not showing up when I try to search under song title. Can someone tell me what's going on here?

If the song is a part of "Compilation", you cannot find it using Artist or Genres. But you can find it searching through Albums or Compilations. Try that, maybe that's you problem.

How can I search for an exact string match in my emails?

I was looking for an old email that I had about Re-Animator The Musical. So, in the search bar in the upper right corner of the Thunderbird window, I typed "re-animator". I got 59 hits, and the message that actually contained the string "re-animator" was 27th, when sorted by relevance. All of the other hits were emails which contained the word "animal" or "animals", which to me has nothing to do with "re-animator". I'm surprised that those were considered hits at all, much less that they were considered more relevant than the one message which actually contained the desired string.
I actually tried three different searches:
reanimator
re-animator
"re-animator"
(i. e. the first two were without quotes and the third was with quotes). All three of these variations had the same problem, though, that messages containing "animal" were ranked before the message containing "re-animator".
The desired message contained the word "Re-Animator" (with that capitalization and hyphenation), and also contained "reanimatorthemusical" as part of a URL that was mentioned in the message. So, I would have expected both the search with the hyphen and the search without the hyphen to have been good hits for this message.
My question is: How can I tell Thunderbird to search for messages that literally contain the string I ask for, and not get "creative" with the matches, as it seems to be doing for some reason?
(I'm using Thunderbird 31.3.0 on Mac OS X 10.9.5.)

Yes, I had already read the support article you linked to, but I hadn't found anything in it about why Thunderbird would prefer "animal" over "animator", or how to disable this misfeature. Is there no better documentation for the search bar than that?

Can you search for videos in the iTunes store?

When I go to the music videos section of the iTunes store, it looks like I can only search through a long list. Is there any way to search for a specific music video in the iTunes Store?

Select iTunes music store on the left side of the iTunes window. You will see a search field.
Type in the name of the music video there, then press Return or Enter on your keyboard.

How did you move the music to the external drive? What exactly is on the drive? The entire iTunes folder or only music? If it is the entire iTunes folder you can do the option+start suggestion earlier. If you copied only music and did so by dragging it there then you need to delete it again and consolidate/organize it there instead so iTunes tracks the move. iTunes 12 for Mac: Change where your iTunes files are stored - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH19507
