Securing UDDI registered services using OWSM-Failing

Hi all,
I am running into issues in integrating UDDI registered services with OWSM 10.1.3.1.Are there really any integration issues of UDDI 10.1.3.1 with OWSM 10.1.3.1 or am I going wrong?
Thanks.

Have you resolved your issue. I am in the same situation. Can you please let me know how you have resolved your issue.

  • How to call a secure external Web Service using Oracle BPEL and OWSM

    Hi,
i have to invoke an external secure Web Service using SOA Suite 10.1.3.1, but i donĀ“t know how to do this. Do i use OWSM gateway or Agent? how to configure the gateway or agent to pass the required security to the external secure web service.
    thanks in advance

Are you getting any errors? What type of XAI Class are you using?
One thing I've noticed is that if you are making changes to the XAI Sender you will have to restart the environment before the changes can take effect.
Also, if you are using RTHTTPSNDR as XAI Class you may have to include the HTTP Method - Post in the context.
    Hope this helps.

    Philip

  • Unable to call WSS (WS-Security) enabled Web Service using UTL_DBWS

We are attempting to call a WSS (WS-Security) enabled Web Service from PL/SQL using the UTL_DBWS package (see [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14258/u_dbws.htm#CHDIDGJH] ). We are doing this in similar fashion to [http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/10g/utl_dbws10g.php] with calls to utl_dbws.create_service, utl_dbws.create_call and utl_dbws.invoke.
Using this method we can successfully call an unsecured Web Service, but calls to WSS-enabled Web Services fail. We are currently using Oracle Database 10.2.0.3.
The failure we are getting is:
ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception: javax.xml.rpc.soap.SOAPFaultException:
com.sun.xml.wss.XWSSecurityException: Message does not conform to configured
    policy ( AuthenticationTokenPolicy(S) ): No Security Header found;nested
    exception is com.sun.xml.wss.XWSSecurityException:
com.sun.xml.wss.XWSSecurityException: Message does not conform to configured
policy ( AuthenticationTokenPlicy(S) ): No Security Header found
Apparently UTL_DBWS does not support calling WSS enabled services, although this doesn't appear to be an officially recognised position. Does anyone know if Oracle are planning to support this soon (if ever)? Looking at Re: Calling WS from PL/SQL using WS-security suggests that support has been considered before, but not yet realised.
    Thanks,
    Tom

Having raised a Service Request with Oracle support on this, I got the following response from Oracle Development (On unpublished bug [8542959|https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=BUG&p_id=8542959]):
Development has confirmed that WS-Security is not supported through UTL_DBWS. They have also acknowledged that this is not documented and they will change the official Oracle documentation will reflect this fact. From what is being stated, it would appear that there is no plan to support the use of WS-Security through UTL_DBWS in any release in the near future.
So, in short, without developing your own home-grown SOAP request, there is no way to call a WSS enabled web service from within PL/SQL.

  • WCF WSDL has no security info, but service uses SSL

    We need urgent help.
Basically I am developing a Web Service client app. The service is written in .Net and uses SSL, but the WSDL does not contain any security info. We got one .pfx file and three .cer files. I followed [Importing PFX files into Java keystores|http://i-proving.ca/space/Technologies/JCE/Importing+PFX+files+into+Java+keystores] to convert the certificates to X509 format. Then I imported the PFX certificate into the keystore of my glassfish v3 (alias is s1as), the other three into the truststore. After passing the handshaking, our application gets "javax.xml.ws.soap.SOAPFaultException: No credentials found by which to authorize the user Missing authentication credentials [cert]". The serer side log shows that they received our HTTP requests and the HTTP header was good, however the SOAP envelope was not decrypted. How can I manually modify the WSDL file so that the NetBeans IDE will guide me to configure the security issue? I use NetBeans 6.8 and Glassfish v3.
Thank you for your help in advance.
    Daniel

have you try going into iTunes store on your computer and try download app there?
    it may say something.
i got the same "Security Info Required" too but on iphone4S, so , now i cannot download any app too

    2. The OWSM Gateway intercepts this request and apply the defined policy:
    a. Verify Signature.
    b. Extract of credentials
    c. OAM Authenticate Authorize.
    3. Then OAM apply the defined rule:
    a. Credential validation and extraction of security tokens
    b. Authentication against OID security attributes
We have protected with OAM the end-point web service URL for authentication and authorization. But we are getting an error when we invoke this web service:
/The Web Service call failed. The service returned a SOAP fault with the
message: Authentication Fault: Invalid User Session Token/
It seems that OWSM Gateway are processing policies defined well, but th error became accesing to OAM authentication and authorize. We have tried to enable OAM debug system, but if we configure it, OAM are unable to start. So we are not able to obtain a more detailed error.
    T.I.A.

Try re-configuring the AccessServerSDK AccessGate using the configureAccessGate command in the tools directory. It may be possible that the key pairing is corrupted.

If this still needed. Take a look in Your WSDL file - any references to schemas etc. Are they accessible on server? For example - XSD file have absolute file system link - change it to project level import (copy xsd file to project) or publish to MDS.

  • Using OWSM to secure Services based on http binding

    Hi,
We are using OWSM Gateway in DMZ as a proxy server to communicate with systems beyond the firewall. We have two specific requirements:
    1) The BPEL/ESB services should invoke http POST/GET services on the third party systems which are located beyond the firewall.
    2) Third party services uses http POST/GET to access the BPEL/ESB services.
    My queries are:
    Are these possible with OWSM?
For reqmnt 1, when we tried with OWSM we are getting the following error
"No policies found for service "SID0003001/servletclasstest?Locality=Chennai.Make sure the service is registered correctly and gateway policies are up to date"
Can any one help us out with solution. We are running on tight timelines any help is highly appreciated

Have you resolved your issue. I am in the same situation. Can you please let me know how you have resolved your issue.

  • Invoking secured service using BPEL partner link -  basic authentication

    HI,
We are invoking a secured service using partner link. The below property is defined in bpel.xml (basicHeaders property is created on partnerlink)
    <property name="basicHeaders">credentials</property>
My concern is how the basicusername and basicpassword is sent to the secured webservice?
is it sent in the calling uri ?
I don't think it will be sent under soap header..
    Please anyone confirm.
    Thanks

    Hi
I am having trouble making the BPEL and Systinet to work together. I have Systinet and BPEL installed separately on 2 different servers. I deployed my web services and registered them in UDDI. I created a new BPEL process and added a partner link to refer to one of the web service I have registered in UDDI. When I create the partner link, it is forcing me to give the wsdl and it also gives an error message " There are no partner link types defined in current wsdl. Do you want create that will by default create partner link type for you?". If I say "NO' then deployment fails. If I say "Yes", then it creates a new wsdl file on the local server etc and gives "<Faulthttp://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/>
    <faultcode>soapenv:Server.userException</faultcode>
<faultstring>com.oracle.bpel.client.delivery.ReceiveTimeOutException: Waiting for response has timed out. The conversation id is 75164a0815ea471a:-3be8c246:117cc377894:-537b. Please check the process instance for detail.</faultstring>". Any help is appreciated.

  • Cannot seem to register any of my web services in OWSM, v10.1.3.1

    Hi All -
I am using Oracle Web Services Manager, v10.1.3.1 build [2006.10.06.06.37]
Whenever I try to use OWSM management console to register a web service with my gateway I get the following error:
"Service information cannot be added because of the following reason(s):
Cannot read WSDL: Failed to retrieve the Service WSDL from WSDL URL with HTTP Status 401"
I have verified the service's WSDL is accessible by navigating to its URL. The web service is hosted in weblogic and is on the same machine as OWSM.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.
    -greg

    Hi,
I had the same problem, but using HTTP. Check if the gateway ID that exist in your gateway settings is the same that exist in gateway configuration file (gateway.component.id argument): <ORACLE_HOME>/owsm/config/gateway/gateway-config-installer.properties.
If isn't, you must enter the gateway ID from OWSM settings in gateway.component.id argument into this file and redeploy de gateway application.
Let me know if it will work. because I tried do set my OWSM do accept HTTPS requests from my client application and it didn't work.
    Thanks,
    Rodrigo

    Hi Tim,
I have configured using Kerberos library for 32 bit on Net Weaver 7.0 with MS SQL 2005 Server on Windows 2003 Server. I didnt change any thing on JAVA side. I have configured as per the Kerberos configuration steps  as per below URL
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp2/helpdata/en/44/0ebf6c9b2b0d1ae10000000a114a6b/frameset.htm
The configuration was successful and I am able to login with out asking password, but After the configuration when I have restarted every thing on ABAP side works well but JAVA server process going down with EXIT code -11113. One of the log file contains follows error message.

One of the line says "SNC required for this connection". What does this mean? What else need to be done for JAVA to communicate with ABAP?
    Thanks,

  • Error from EAS - "refreshing security from Shared Services failed"

    Hi,
I was using Native only security in HSS for Essbase 11.1.1.3 and EAS allowed me to Refresh security from Shared Services. (Essbase security was already externalized to HSS.)
However, after I added "MS Active Directory", and provisioned a MSAD user to a native Planning group, EAS errors out with "refreshing security from Shared Services failed" .
I checked Essbase security and that MSAD user is not added to Essbase.
    From Essbase Log I see:
Essbase failed to get roles list for [ESB:Analytic Servers:servername:1] from Shared Services Server with Error [32:1062:Failed to connect to the user directory [ HSS'sMSADname].
I then tried to remove MSAD from our H Shared Services and see if this problem goes away. However, MSAD still shows on the left panel menu in H Shared Services. How can I get rid of MSAD?
    Any suggestions?

    Hi,
Are you sure you have removed it from shared services, you may have just disabled it.
You must restart the shared services application server to apply any changes made.
    Cheers
