Security of Catalog content using themes
Hi,
I may have got the wrong idea here so please correct me if I'm wrong...
If there are multiple themes created in a webtools site each one can have its own specific catalog and but connecting users to themes the catalog that that user sees when he logs in ( if the site requires login to view catalogs ) is defined.
I was under the impression that this functionality was a means of restricting the products that a user can view and buy.
Why, then when I login can I manipulate the URL query string to switch to another theme simply by editing the 'ServerId' parameter and hence see items which I may not be entitled to see.
( Obviously you have to know the theme ID you require but I can't accept that this is enough to secure the catalog from unauthorised use )
Maybe I don't understand the Base URL/ User Theme/ Catalog functionality correctly or I have missed an important setting somewhere?
Hey Geoff .. you are right, there is no real theme security other than the fact that it's hidden. You can implement your own customization to accomplish it though. The way I did it was to check if the logged in user had a default theme, if so compare to current theme and if different redirect to correct theme.

How can I select 5-star photos in one catalog and use them to create a new catalog
I've been using Lightroom since LR1. I now have several LR 5.5 catalogs generally organized by year and camera. I want to create a new catalog which will contain my best from each catalog. BUT, I don't want to remove the photos from their "home" catalog. The photos will continue to reside in both their original catalog and in the new "Portfolio" catalog. The easiest way to approach this is to filter photos in catalog "A" by rating, select all 5-star photos and create a new catalog containing just the selection. I don't want to export or remove them from their catalog or move them on disk. I want them to appear in BOTH catalogs. Since Lightroom is built on a database that merely points to image files, it seems like this should be possible.
I realize I can create an empty catalog and select File->Import from Another Catalog... , then locate the photos one at a time by name and location clicking the import checkbox - tedious is an understatement when you have several 10's of thousands of photos.
Any ideas?jimfeet wrote:
Yes, that's an option I've considered. But as with any database, size is inversely proportional to speed - larger database equals slower performance. LR 5 is much better than earlier versions in this regard but when you reach 100,000 images you can feel it.
This is incorrect. I accept that you think the database is getting slower, but the database (and really all databases) are designed to work pretty much the same regardless of the number of records, except for perhaps searching through the entire catalog. We have seen in this forum people who are now editing larger RAW files than a few years ago, they see it is slower, and decide it is the size of the database, rather than the size of their photos.
What aspects of Lightroom are slow? If it's scrolling and displaying the previews and searching, then it might be the database. If its displaying images in the Develop module, it is NOT the database at all.
Have you taken steps to improve the performance of the database, such as Optimizing it regularly? have you tried these performance tips: FAQ: Experiencing Performance related problems in Lightroom? -

Please call apple @ 1-800-692-7753 in USA
ask for the account security team
you may want to add a credit card to your iTunes account before calling; so they will have a way to verify your identity.

I don't know what to do
You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

I'm designing a sequential site workflow using Visual Studio 2010 for Project Server 2010. In my case, I have following 6 stages in the workflow:
1. InitialProposal Stage
2. Approval Stage1 -- Needs approval from Approver Project Security Group Members1
3. Rejection Stage
4. Approval Stage2 -- Needs approval from Approver Project Security Group Members 2
5. Execution Stage
6. Completed Stage
Requirement is workflow should move to Approval stage2 from Approval stage1 if approved by all members of Approver Project Security Group1and it should move to Rejection Stage even if a single member rejects it.
Workflow should move from Approval Stage2 to Execution Stage if approved by all members of Approver Project Security Group2 and it should move back to Approval Stage1 on rejection by a single member of the group.
I'm using inbuilt PSWApproval content type and OfficeTask activity for creating approval task for the group members at both stages.
On task rejected in Approval stage2, task will be assigned again to Approval Stage1 and I want to show comments given by members of Approver Project Security Group2 to the members of Approver Project Security Group1 with this assigned task
but I'm not able to retrieve comments from officeTask activity.
My question is where exactly these comments are saved? how can we retrieve them and use them in another officetask activity? If this is not possible then what is the possible solution for meeting above mentioned business requirement?Hi Paul,
Thanks for your suggestion.
By comments field I'm assuming OfficeTask.Comments field. Problem is, this field is always null. I tried accessing this field in CheckExitCondition activity as well as in OnTaskCompleted but in both the cases, it was null only(I wrote comments while approving
the task).
I used a code activity within OnTaskCompleted activity and following code for accessing Comments and Description fields:
public string officeComments;
public string officeDescription;
private void TaskCOmplete(object sender, EventArgs e)
CodeActivity Sender = (CodeActivity)sender;
Microsoft.Office.Workflow.Actions.OfficeTask ofctask1 = ((CompositeActivity)Sender.Parent).Parent as Microsoft.Office.Workflow.Actions.OfficeTask;
officeComments = ofctask1.Comments;
officeDescription = ofctask1.Description;
Please tell me if I'm doing anything wrong here, I'm very new to Workflows. Also, do I need to set any specific property of officeTask for retriving comments?
Thank you -
How to use KM APIs, Can we use them in Standalone J2ee Application
Hi Experts,
I got KM APIs.
I need to use them to access the KM Repository Content.
I m a newbie in SAP KM.
Can anyone help me to use KM APIs.
For Eg:
com.sapportals.portal.security.usermanagement.IUser user =
IResourceContext resourceContext = new ResourceContext(user);
RID rid = RID.getRID("/etc");
try {
IResource resource = ResourceFactory.getInstance()
.getResource(rid, resourceContext);
if( resource != null ) {
// resource found
System.out.println("resource " + resource.getRID() + " found");
} else {
// resource not found
System.out.println("resource " + resource.getRID() + " does not exist");
catch( ResourceException e ) {
// problem while retrieving the resource
System.out.println(
"exception while trying to get resource " + e.getRID()
+ ": " + e.getMessage()
How will i get the IUser populated?
Can i use KM APIs from a standalone J2EE application?
Can i Populate IUser in standalone J2EE application's Servlet?
Please help me out.
Waiting for reply
-pankajHi Prem,
Can u tell me how to deploy a war file on to the SAP J2EE server?
I know how to deploy on Tomcat Server, but dont have any experience abt SAP J2EE server.
Does SAP J2EE server also have some Webapp directory like TOMCAT where we have to put our WAR File?
Or to Deploy a WAR File in SAP J2EE server is different, if yes then wats the procedure to do that?
And can i access the KM APIs in SAP J2EE Server? -
Catalog content missing after upgrade to 11.1.1.6.6
We recently applied the patches to upgrade OBIEE from 11.1.1.6.0 to 11.1.1.6.6. But after the upgrade, all of the catalog contents went missing. I can still see My Folders and Shared Folders, but nothing under them. I still have all of the subject area and can still build custom analysis, but all of the pre-built contents are gone. We are using BI Applications 7.9.6.3.
Has anyone else had the same issue?
Thanks,
Yi
Edited by: yitang on Nov 29, 2012 8:19 PMHi,
Yesterday we have encountered the same problem. We have migrated our Development environment from 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.1.6.5 and the folders do not show any of the existing reports and dashboards. When we click on the My folder or Shared Folder, we encountered a BI spinning a wheel and nothing loaded. We later found out that during our test upgrade of our staging environment, one of the report failed and the work around was to add the following to the NQSConfig.INI.
EVALUATE_SUPPORT_LEVEL = 2;
Even though this is nothing to do with Catalog not loading, we went ahead with this change and restarted the BI components.
We refreshed the page by clicking F5 and the catalog now successfully loaded.
Again, I am not sure whether this was related to above change or just refreshing the page with F5.
Can you try what we did and see whether you could see the catalog contents.
Thanks

GPO Security Zones and Content Ratings "Modify Settings" buttons are disabled
Task: Trying to modify a GPO so that specific users who logon to Remote Desktop Servers will have a lower Internet security level for Internet Explorer.
We have two Windows Server 2008 Domain Controllers, when I access the GPO using the Group Policy Management Console and Editor on either of the two Domain Controllers, then navigate to User Configuration > Policies > Windows Settings > Internet Explorer
Maintenance > Security > Security Zones and Content Ratings, the available "Modify Settings" buttons are both disabled.
I've read through several forum posts relating to this and the closest solution mentioned was to turn off IE ESC for Administrators on both Domain Controllers. I've done this and it nothing has changed as a result. Is there a way enable the "Modify Settings"
buttons, or is there another way to achieve the task mentioned at the top of this post?Hi,
We need to import these settings before we modify them.
To import security zones and privacy settings from our computer using IEM:
Click
Import the current security zones and privacy settings
To import content ratings from our computer:
Click
Import the current Content Ratings settings
Regarding how to configure Security Zones and Content Ratings, the following article can be referred to for more information.

}thanks again,
Jamesthe reason why you can't get the text is because you are reading the value before some actually inserts anything in any fields.
Here is what you need to do:
Create a JDialog/JFrame. Create a JPanel and set that panel as contentPane (dialog.setContentPane(panel)). Insert all the components, ie JLabels and JTextFields. Add two buttons, Login and Cancel to the panel as well. Now get the username and password field values using getText() inside the ActionListener of the Login.
import javax.swing.*;
import java.awt.*;
import java.awt.event.*;
public class LoginDialog extends JDialog
String username, password;
public LoginDialog( ){
setTitle( "Login" );
JPanel content = new JPanel(new GridLayout(0, 2) ); // as many rows, but only 2 columns.
content.add( new JLabel( "User Name" ) );
final JTextField nameField = new JTextField( "" );
content.add( nameField );
content.add( new JLabel( "Password" ) );
final JTextField passField = new JTextField( "" );
content.add( passField );
JButton login = new JButton( "Login" );
login.addActionListener( new ActionListener(){
public void actionPerformed( ActionEvent ae ){
username = nameField.getText();
password = passField.getText();
// call a method or write the code to verify the username and login here...
content.add( login );
JButton cancel = new JButton( "Cancel" );
cancel.addActionListener( new ActionListener( ){
public void actionPerformed( ActionEvent ae ){
dispose(); // close the window or write any code that you want here.
content.add( cancel );
pack( ); // pack everything in the dialog for display.
show(); // show the dialog. -
I recently started using an iPad. I up loaded several apps. Evernote, cloudon, Goodreader, Drop Box and lots of others.
It crashes when I down load pictures and then try to use them. Converting a jpg to a pdf usually triggers a crash.
Is there a "hitch" in my "giddy up?"
Help.

Are you using the "Print to PDF" dialogue to convert your jpegs to pdf?
In addition to OT's test, you might also check, if using a different "Theme" for printing will avoid the crash:
14 com.apple.AppKit 0x912a52e4 _NSDrawThemeBackground + 1429
15 com.apple.AppKit 0x9145edeb -[NSThemeFrame
You crashlog shows, that iPhoto crashes, when trying to draw the "Print" theme background. There could be a problem wit the installed themes. Can you convert any jpegs to pdf, not only the jpegs downloaded from your iPad?

I have 3 PC's. Two of them I use at 2 different locations and only use them 6 months each year. When I turn on a computer that has not been used for 6 months, does all of the old information from that computer end up in Icloud? Does Icloud push all the new calendar and contact items over the old items?
A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure. -
My computer is running stupid and I am being told by my malware bytes that I don't have any problems and when I try to clear my cache none of the buttons work after show history. THEY are all useless and won't light up to use them. I also have not been able to set up zoho as my default email address for all default emails====windows won't let me even though i disabled windows email, I still can't set up zoho.com
When you use the private browsing feature, Firefox does not keep your history after your session. You don't need to clear history manually, you can just close Firefox.
If you're looking for another way to clear you cache, you can use this one:
Open the Options dialog using either:
* orange Firefox button > Options > Options
* Tools menu (if you have the classic menu bar) > Options
Click Advanced, then on the Network mini-tab look for the Cached Web Content section and click the "Clear Now" button.
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
Perhaps, though, we should step back and ask for a more specific description of running wack. What's going on? -
Where do I use These lock object FM's (Enqueue & D? and How do I use them?
I created lock object for user defined table (zconsist). The system automatically created 2 FM's (Enquiue & Dequeue).
I created a new TCode and accessing this with mulitple users to do some updates and inserts in that above table.
I used INSERT ZCONSIST statement in 5 places in my program (4 include programs).
Where do I use These FM's? and How do I use them?
I mean before inserting which FM I need to use? after immediately what fm used?.
every insert statemnt before i need to use the respective fm? so 5 places i need to call the respective FM is it right?
thank in advance.Hi Sekhar,
Lock objects are use in SAP to avoid the inconsistancy at the time of data is being insert/change into database.
SAP Provide three type of Lock objects.
Read Lock(Shared Locked)
protects read access to an object. The read lock allows other transactions read access but not write access to
the locked area of the table
Write Lock(exclusive lock)
protects write access to an object. The write lock allows other transactions neither read nor write access to
the locked area of the table.
Enhanced write lock (exclusive lock without cumulating)
works like a write lock except that the enhanced write lock also protects from further accesses from the
same transaction.
You can create a lock on a object of SAP thorugh transaction SE11 and enter any meaningful name start with EZ Example EZTEST_LOCK.
Use: you can see in almost all transaction when you are open an object in Change mode SAP could not allow to any other user to open the same object in change mode.
Example: in HR when we are enter a personal number in master data maintainance screen SAP can't allow to any other user to use same personal number for changes.
Technicaly:
When you create a lock object System automatically creat two function module.
1. ENQUEUE_<Lockobject name>. to insert the object in a queue.
2. DEQUEUE_<Lockobject name>. To remove the object is being queued through above FM.
You have to use these function module in your program.
check this link for example.

Normally ABAPers will create the Lock objects, because we know when to lock and how to lock and where to lock the Object then after completing our updations we unlock the Objects in the Tables

purpose: If multiple user try to access a database object, inconsistency may occer. To avoid that inconsistency and to let multiple user give the accessibility of the database objects the locking mechanism is used.
Steps: first we create a loc object in se11 . Suppose for a table mara. It will create two functional module.:
1. enque_lockobject
1. deque_lockobject
before updating any table first we lock the table by calling enque_lockobject fm and then after updating we release the lock by deque_lockobject.

GO TO SE11
Select the radio button "Lock object"..
Give the name starts with EZ or EY..
Example: EYTEST
Press Create button..
Give the short description..
Example: Lock object for table ZTABLE..
In the tables tab..Give the table name..
Example: ZTABLE
Save and generate..
Your lock object is now created..You can see the LOCK MODULES..
In the menu ..GOTO -> LOCK MODULES..There you can see the ENQUEUE and DEQUEUE function

Tugdual Grallhi All,
I m stuck in a similar kind of issue, in my case content selectors is used but after that i need to perform some filteration and sorting to select the necessary node, at the last i end up with a node object or a input stream and then how to render this to the screen is issue (node has a binary property with html file)
I have tries the the option discussed in this thread but it didnt worked, as most of them are aroung jsp tags.
Brad
<%@ taglib uri="http://www.bea.com/servers/portal/tags/content" prefix="cm"%>
<%@ taglib uri="http://www.bea.com/servers/content/ui/jsp/templates" prefix="templates"%>
<cm:getNode id="node" path="/path/to/node"/>
${templates:getFileContents(node)}
this looks simple but not working, difference is, in place of "<cm:getNode id="node" path="/path/to/node"/>" i have node object.
Code snippet
<pz:contentSelector rule="ContentDisplaySelector" versionedContent="true" id="nodes"/>
<%
InputStream in =null;
if(nodes.length>1)
ArrayList<Version> nodeArrayList = new ArrayList<Version>();
for(int i=0;i<nodes.length;i++)
if(null != nodes[i] && Workflow.PUBLISHED == nodes.getStatus())
nodeArrayList.add(nodes[i]);
//sorts as per start date and end date
Collections.sort(nodeArrayList,new VersionedNodeComparator());
IVersionManager versionManager = ContentManagerFactory.getVersionManager();
ContentContext contentContext = new ContentContext();
//how can i use this input stream to render the html output
in = versionManager.getStream(contentContext,nodeArrayList.get(nodeArrayList.size()-1).getNodeId(),nodeArrayList.get(nodeArrayList.size()-1).getProperty("file").getId());
%>
${templates:getFileContents(<%nodeArrayList.get(nodeArrayList.size()-1)%>)}
i m also looking for a tag based solution.
please help with ur suggestions.
