Security Setting - Help!!
My 9yo daughter activated the pin code security on her Ipod touch and has now forgotten the pin. Can anyone tell me how I can get rid of it so that she can use it again?
The manual will tell you.
You will have to restore the ipod.

this is all greek to me. WHAT IS STARTTLS? On the first page of Apple set up there is a TLS certificate and it is marked NONE- should I change it to the long APPLE CERT option? The next page under ADVANCED: THERE IS A BOX SSL MARKED. Then IMAP Path Prefix - I put stmp.gmail.com.. is that right? Port 993 can use this one? as 456 doesn't work and 587 said it wasn't safe. Under AUTHENTICATION I used PASSWORD. Should I have used external client cert TLS?

Need help for the security setting
We are preparing the demo environment with ADF Security turn on with Http Basic Authentication.
Everything works fine but for a command that is send to one of our proxy servlet (context path /BIProxy), we got a pop up dialog that asks you to login to weblogic container.
Anyone have any suggestion regarding what extra security configuration that I need to config to access to context path/servlet that is not default Faces servlet.
The following is what we have in jazn-data.xml for region:

We got two 401 errors which causes the login popup.
o. For the 1st 401 error (expected), the http header is set to: WWW-Authenticate: Basic realm="jazn.com" so we enter the correct user credential, the dialog goes away.
o. For the 2nd 401 error, the http header is set to: WWW-Authenticate: Basic realm="WebLogic Server" so we get "Authentication Required" dialog ask for WLS login.
For the 2nd 401 error, we are pointing to /Sales-BaseSalesSalesHomePageUi-context-root/BIProxy?cid=BIPresentationServer&RedirectURL=res/b_mozilla/common/obips.ImportMeFirst.js from Referer URL: /Sales-BaseSalesSalesHomePageUi-context-root/faces/zbsSalesHomePage?_adf.ctrl-state=x5a1n5x2d_11
So my quesiton is that do we need to add some security setting in jazn-data.xml or someother files to specify security setting for /BIProxy?

Airport Express not recognized by Utility after changing security setting.
We use an Extreme with an Express to extend the network and run speakers. While trying to eradicate Airtunes dropouts I changed the security setting on the Express using the Airport Utility. After the update, the Express is no longer being recognized. Help!!! I've unplugged it and used the reset button to no avail. I'm a techno-dummy, so please be gentle. I really do appreciate any insight.

It seems you have set a too strong security on the Extreme that is not supported on the Express.
I don't know what model of Express you have so try to use a less strong security on the Extreme.
(you can find the security specs of your express on Apple's website : http://support.apple.com/specs/#airport )
As you have reset the Express... you will first have to set it up again...
P.S. : Do the connection drop problems occur on the Express and / or on the extreme ?
As security settings "should" not be the cause for WiFi connection drop, something else is.
Can you give more info on what you already tried ? Ex : Multicast Rate, Transmit Power, Use wide channels, Closed network, Use interference robustness

Web service: Cannot remove WSS security setting

i have a problem about developing web service with jdeveloper 10.1.3.1
The problem is that ---> once i have add the security to the web service
(through the web service wizard .. i,e, right click the web service and
select "Secure Web Service'), i CANNOT REMOVE the security setting using
the web service wizard...
call the web service always say missing wsse:Security SOAP header..

the issue is still there in 10.1.3.3, and it must be somewhere on JDeveloper or OC4J side. Moreover, it's not limited to removing security settings, as the situation (old settings remembered) is the same when editing security settings.

before regenerating a web service and its xml files (editing security properties), make sure you have cleaned the project and then you can try deleting the oracle-webservices.xml file from your project directory, because JDeveloper does not seem to be willing to overwrite it during regeneration.
If this does not help and you are using embedded OC4J, you can try the following steps before running the web service again:
- delete the embedded-oc4j/application-deployments/current-workspace-app directory, because it contains an oracle-webservices.xml file which may be outdated,
- empty the contents of embedded-oc4j/config/wsmgmt.xml, because it contains security settings for web services you have deployed so far, which also may be outdated,
- restart JDeveloper :)
Note that these are just guesses to solve the problem. Unfortunately doing all of these did not solve it for me.
So if anybody has some more ideas, we'll be happy to hear them.

If you have a rescue email address set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address set up then go to Express Lane and select 'iTunes' from the list of 'products' in the middle of the screen.
Then select 'iTunes Store', and on the next screen select 'Account Management'
Next choose 'iTunes Store Account Security' and fill in that you'd like your security questions/answers reset.
You should get an email reply within, I think, about 24 to 48 hours (and check your Spam folder as well as your Inbox) -

If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.

I too hope I haven't tried "everything" either but I am reasonably technical. I had done what you suggested to do before but I did both again.
Ethernet is yellow in the left side bar. In the right pane it's status says Connected but then below it says "Ethernet has a self-assigned IP address and will not be able to connect to the Internet."
I have tried the assist me menu and Network Status has Ethernet Green, Network settings Yellow, ISP Green, and Internet and Server Red and Failed for both. I have turned things off and on, checked cables, deleted all locations and tried restting them up but to no avail. I even disconnected everything and connected the mac directly into the cable modem itself and the thing still will not connect.
