Seeking feedback on my work.

www.movie01.ca
I've just used iWeb to post my video work and I'm looking for some feedback. The site takes a while to load, so please be patient.
Although most of my work is done in FCP, some is done using After Effects as well.

I too was turned away.

    If you do not have the en-US locale then check that you have a dictionary installed (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and selected.
    You can see which dictionary is selected if you right-click in a text area and open the ''Languages'' submenu.
    Also make sure that [[X]"Check Spelling" in the right-click context menu has a tick.
    You can also try to toggle the "Check Spelling" item off and on again.

    I’m working with a team exploring ways to improve your TAC Support experience.  Several questions have come up that we would like customer/partner feedback on.  Here’s the first one:
    1.     What data or information are you asked for repeatedly when working TAC cases that you wish Cisco would remember?
    For each piece of data or information:
    1a. Is that data or information specific to you (i.e. your id) or shared by your group (i.e. a topology) or everyone at your company (i.e. company size)
    1b. How frequently does the data or information change?
    I look forward to you input.
    Best,
    --Mary

    I would agree with Leo on this as well, but one thing to add. Based on the contract number it should show the installed site and the address where that piece of equipment is located. I try and keep that updated for all our equipment for that reason. Like Leo suggested, rather than TAC asking for the ship to information, it should just confirm the ship to address. I know that may seem minor but I don't remember all my locations addresses and if I am out of the office when TAC asks for the information it just delays the whole situation.
    Something maybe to add.....If we could store say a parts list (like a Show Inventory output) for all of our equipment under our contracts that might also help TAC better understand what the setup is much quicker. Then with that information Cisco could use it to more accurately stage inventory for different regions.
    One more thing...... TAC does a great job and keep up the great work.

  • Ad-Muncher incompatible in Firefox 8, Submit Feedback buttons Not Working

    Hi! I just updated to Firefox 8, and now Ad-muncher won't work. Firefox says it's an incompatible add-on. Since I paid for Ad-Muncher and have found it works beautifully, would it be possible for the Firefox team to fix this? I'm sure that all the Ad-Muncher users out there would be very grateful! :-)
    By the way, the "Submit Feedback" button isn't working on the "Firefox made me sad...happy...new idea" page.

    Add-on compatibility is the responsibility of the add-on developer, not Mozilla. See Ad-Muncher for an update.

  • Feedback app not working - keeps asking to join the insider program

    Hello,
    as I said in the title, the feedback app refuses to work for some reason (it has once worked). Whenever I start it, it tells me that to use it, I had to join the insider program and be connected to the internet. I even tried to rejoin the insider program
    without success. I suspect it could have something to do with my setup, but I was unable to find anything.
    I'm running Build 9879 in a Hyper V virtual machine. The network adapter type is set to internal, and the Wifi-adapter of the host is set to share the internet connection with the virtual adapter. I could not find any other problems with the internet, everything
    else seems to work fine. Is this a known issue? Or is it something I messed up with my setup? (Like I said, it worked for me before). The reason why it's not an external network is that I didn't manage to get it working that way.
    If I can provide more information, please tell me.

    Thank you very much for the quick reply. It is indeed working again (although I still never see any feedback from other users that I could upvote)

  • Feedback Extension Not Working

    When I click on feedback button to say something about the beta version flaws or praises, the following message gets displayed instead of taking my input. Earlier it was working fine.
    """Oh! So, you want to offer us feedback on the next version of Firefox. Thank you, but you'll need to be on our latest beta.
    To do that, simply go to our download page and install/update to the latest Firefox Beta!"""

  • Seeking Feedback Concerning Media Archiving

    Hello- I'm just looking for some feedback and second opinions for getting the most out of our archive solution which includes an Xserve and a Magnum 448, because right now I'm dealing with an archive solution that's a bit unstable, overly complicated, and seemingly not robust enough to assure it's a long-term archive/media solution.
    Let me lay out some details and I'd like any opinions or tips for my situation:
    I'm employed by a small video production company who have a large library of production masters (HDCAM and DVCPRO, 1000+ tapes total) that they needed backed up/archived. The choice was made to archive digitally (as opposed to physical tape duplicates), which entails capturing the footage in Final Cut Pro and then taking those raw media files and archiving them to LTO-4 cartridges and then restoring them when needed for editing, etc.
    An Apple Xserve running Atempo's Time Navigator 4.2 to interface with a Magnum 448 was bought as the archive solution (a decision made before I was hired- but I am the primary engineer and operator now and have to play the hand I was dealt). The Xserve is also connected to a QLogic fibre switch which mediates data between the Xserve/Magnum, a hard drive server, and the workstations that capture and edit.
    We've learned to make things work but the Time Navigator [TiNa] package is not very intuitive and sometimes limited in function for such a complicated interface:
    -if files are archived incorrectly, you can't rename, delete, or designate them as faulted in anyway- they're stuck taking up storage space and in the catalog leaving the potential to restore bad footage
    -there's lots of esoteric, manual operations, and modules in using TiNa even for the basics- a simpler, more self-contained, end-user friendly interface would be nicer
    -searching for and selecting specific files can tedious and the 'find' function can be hit-or-miss
    -TiNa doesn't state which cartridges it needs for a restore until the moment it begin to access the data from that particular cartridge- if that cartridge isn't in the library it ends the restore (unless you are watching the entire restore and/or quick enough to catch it and do some manual operations- otherwise it automatically times out)
    -Alarms and errors can lack details (ex. "1 object(s) are not correct restored"... and then looking at the 'details' doesn't tell you the specific object/file that had the error)
    Now I can deal with the Atempo software being unwieldy- but the more alarming issue is that after only a year of moderate use, there are alerts when restoring media that state- "Physical Error[s] were detected on [the] drive while reading media..." and certain files/tapes can't be restored (which will have to be recaptured- something that causes more wear an tear on the masters, which we want to avoid). This has happened with multiple cartridges and our cartridges have only had maybe had three uses in the Magnum's drive- once for the initial archive, then a restore or two.
    These LTO-4 cartridges are supposed to be our long-term library and working media source; we're nearly done with capturing all the masters, which will be put into protective storage and we're planning on duplicating the LTO cartridges for safety's sake- but having media that's compromised for restoring and being unsure whether our backups are secure and usable is unacceptable.
    So here are my basic questions and concerns:
    Does anyone know what may cause or correct the 'physical errors' issue or any Atempo/Time Navigator/storage tips in general?
    I asked Atempo support once and they said I should talk to Tandberg about the errors. I talked to Tandberg and they said it could be the LTO cartridges- but I've used both Quantum and Sony brand and have had the same issue. So I'm unassured the LTO-4 based solution is reliable at this time.
    Is there any recommended software solutions besides Time Navigator that better fit our bill?
    I basically want a software that backs up the media when I tell it and restores easily when we need it- with a catalog/directory that can be modified and corrected. I have no need for a daily, automated, date-based, data/file structure archive.
    I've seen that Atempo offers 'Atempo Digital Archive', which may be closer to the mark than TiNa. I've also heard good things about PresSTORE.
    If you've made it this far, thanks for reading. If you've got any ideas or sympathies, I'm glad to hear them.

    Hi Archimedes76,
        I use windows media player to manage my music files. Regarding your music file info issue, sometimes I do have to restart my media hub so that it'll re-index the files especially if I transferred a lot of new media. If after a restart and waiting for a few hours while the media rescan and reindex files doesn't work for you then you might try to read this. I found it on the linksys support page though the example shown there is  a windows PC.
         Hope this helps!

  • Seek Bar does not work in720???

    Hi,
    I am using Lumia 720 for the past 15 days. I watched some of the videos on Youtube.
    However, one problem I noticed is that, if I want to forward/rewind the vedio using seek bar, simply it does not work!
    May I know how I can solve this problem?
    Please suggest.
    Regards,
    Syed

    Thanks, cor-el, but I don't know how to start Firefox in Safe Mode, whatever that means. Besides, I finally gave up and uninstalled Firefox 6. Now I'm using Internet Explorer because I couldn't find a place where I could download Firefox 5, the version I wish I had kept but my AVG Safe Search 10.0.0.1390 wouldn't work with us so I upgraded to FF6.
    Do you know the url for where I can reinstall version 5?

  • Adobe seeking feedback about panels, palettes, workspaces, and other UI elements

    Several folks within Adobe are discussing the user interfaces for our various applications, and we'd like your feedback.
    Do you use After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom? Other Adobe applications?
    If so, please post your comments on this forum thread comparing your experiences with the user interfaces of these applications.
    Regarding the panels, palettes, workspaces, and overall UI paradigms in these applications: What do you like? What do you hate? Do you care that the applications are different in this regard? What differences do you even notice?

    Primarily using AE/PP with often PS as well, some illustrator.
    I don't think the UI itself -- panels palettes workspaces etc -- need much work, they are overall greatly improved in the last 5+ years & for the most part much ahead of competition. More attention should probably be put into other items that need improved, many of which already came up listed here.
    One thing, I wish text brightness was added as customizable as well as the UI slider; I don't like the text brightness on the lower and higher end of the slider, wish I could customize it.
    BUG since as far as I can remember, maybe CS3 or earlier: workspaces need to remember multiple monitor setups!
    The problem is, I snap off my timeline into a separate window, and make it full screen.
    Now, if have an explorer/finder window open on the screen where the project & monitors panels where, everything opens fine & my full, double screen layout opens just as I left it.
    However, if I open the project from the monitor that say, my full screen timeline is in, the project/monitor panels etc come up in that same screen, undernearth the timeline.  So I have to nudge the timeline window down, and double click the primary premiere pro window, and for some reason that maximizes it to the other screen).  Then bring my timeline window back into place.
    For this reason alone I kind of like making a single window layout that's just 2-screens wide (Avid-esk), however, I run different resolutions on the monitor and this really complicates things if I'm trying to use all of my screenspace, when two or more monitors have different heights for resolution.  Also, in this setup, all progress windows appear right in the middle, so it's split between the two monitors.  This could be improved.
    Another request would definitely be to make hotkeys and things like timeline navigation more universal among your apps.  I run Avid+custom setup on my hotkeys in PP--I jump into AE, and every last button is different, and in AE it's not nearly as easily customizable. Same for Encore's, etc.  I'd LOVE for a change in PP's hotkey to reflect how it works in AE, Encore, and even PS in video mode, etc.
    Simarly, as mentioned on this forum, I hate how blending mode changes in PS is arrows keys, on AE is shift + or -, and totally manual (mouse--annoying) in PP.  If there's one thing I wished was improved, it would be to make this particular task universal among Adobe apps.
    I also really miss the hotkey property drop downs from AE when in any other program (c for opacity, a for anchor, etc).  I'd love to see them make it into other apps.
    Try not to hide things in the panel's window, coming from "hamburger menu's", I like that CS5 has kept things well enough organized to not have a bunch of important options there that are easy to miss.
    Speaking of buttons, I think you'd find it rewarding to add 'fit to fill' and other fit clip options into buttons. They are extremely hidden right now, because you only see the options if you set 4 in/out points and don't drag/drop, which most users will never do.  Additionally, "solo" & "mute" buttons for audio tracks, which are right there on the audio mixer, just makes sense, add them.
    Another important one is you need to make everything keyboard mappable.  Like in MC, all buttons and actions need to be mappable--just the drop down menus and the few extras you have listed doesn't cut it.  I agree with others here, the keyboard visual layout would be dandy here.
    Definitely a +1 to improving thumbnail views.  Really quite bad right now.  Need much more customization in sizes thatn just 3 sizes, and a thumbnail + info view (like script view in MC) makes it so you can both see and sort the info, and see the clip at the same time, which is ideal for me.  Be able to customize the thumbnail, maybe a special type of marker that's put in from the preview window?
    Hope this helps.  For the most part the UI's are really great; it's the thing that most other NLE users are complaining about in their software, not Adobe users.  Often in their forums I'll see posts comparing things to PPro's UI and pointing out how much better developed it is & that particular app should do something similar to what Adobe did.  In my experience, anyway

  • Speech feedback does not work

    Have tried using Speech Feedback. Initially, I set it up, used a few commands, and calibrated. Then, after opening Safari, it stopped working. I restarted the computer, and the feedback icon comes at the bottom of my desktop, and after using the first command 'Open Safari' or 'What time is it?' it would refuse to work anymore. Even calibrating again, or enabling/disabling it, or deleting the feedback preference file did not work. Now, I can only use it once only, and then it stops. Any ideas?

    Hi Sue,
    Have you installed any screen reader? Such as JAWS (http://www.freedomscientific.com/jaws) or NVDA (http://www.nvda-project.org, which is open source software) on Windows, or enabling the Voice Over (Instructions here: http://www.apple.com/accessibility/voiceover) on Mac OS.
    To enable Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) for use with screen readers, you need the JAWS or NVDA reader on Windows or VoiceOver reader on the Macintosh.
    Good luck!
    Derek

  • Feedback form not working.

    I am trying to do a simple feedback form to send an email to me when a button is pressed. I get an email, but all of the contents are blank. anyone might know the issue here?
    http://www.testmeserver.site90.net/feedback.html
    Here is my php Code
    <?php
    $msg = "Name:$namen";
    $msg .= "Email:$emailn";
    $msg .= "Comments:$commentsn";
    $recipient = "[email protected]";
    $subject = "$subject";
    $mailheaders = "From: $email";
    $mailheaders .= "Reply-To: $email";
    mail($recipient, $subject, $msg, $mailheaders);
    header("Location: http://www.testmeserver.site90.net/thankyou.html");
    ?>

    This is the code to which the form is being submitted?
    Can we see the form?
    The problem is that there is nothing in this code that relates to any POSTed data from the form.  You are using some PHP variables ($namen, $emailn, etc.) but there is no link between those variables and the form.  You would need to have something like this -
    $namen = $_POST['namen']; // where "namen" is the name of the field in the form
    $emailn = $_POST['emailn'];
    $subject = $_POST['subject'];
    and so on....
    This would then bind the posted data to the PHP variables.
