Seeking info. re OTM / OTL Accrual Plans & Practices "Out There"

We are working with a public sector client and are migrating them from OTM to OTL. On their behalf, we are seeking some best practice information from users and implementers.
Situation: Client has
* Annual Absence & Accrual Plans
* Time for annual plans granted in full each January 1st
* Bi-weekly timecards
* Bi-weekly payrolls
Given that there is always a timecard that crosses a calendar year boundary, they want to know if there is an easy way [or a recommended way] to configure OTM / OTL to avoid making manual adjustments at year end.

Was this purchase made at a corporate store? They should have scanned the new ESN onto your account and not just switch the SIM. They would only give you the new box if you had the old box with you.
In either case, if they're still willing to waive the restocking fee, I would switch devices to a different model. It is not up to VZW to make sure that your device is not defective. That is up to the manufacturer of the device.

    we have created a new accrual plan. but when i navigate to self service HR Leave of Absence page the new plan is not visible to us.

    Accrual Plan will not visible from self service.
    Using self service ,In the entitlement balances tab, the default accrual balance as of the system date is displayed.
    When you enter an effective date, the accrual balance as of the effective date is displayed. The effective date can either be in the past or in the future.

  • Accrual plans validation

    Hi,
    We have absences and accrual plan set up to validate the entitlements. we have addded the validation in the user hook to raise an error if p_exceeds_pto_entit_warning. but if the absence scheme is not attached to the employee i.e. the element is not attached, we expected this boolean variable to be TRUE, but it returns FALSE so this validation doesnt fire at all and the employee can book any number of days. does anyone have any idea how to get around this problem.

  • Accrual Plan Issue

    Hi gurus,
    I need an urgent solution for this
    we have 2 accrual plans one *30 days- employee can avail annual leave after 1 years of joining and afterwards once in a year* and
    *21 days=employee can avail annaul leave after 2 years of joining and afterwards once in two years.*
    so how can i write an eligibility conditions to this accrual plans. please can anyone provide the condition for this

    You need to create your owwn formula on similar lines as the seeded on to to calculate for each day or atleast get the return amount from the seeded formula code and remove the pro-rated entitlement from the last period based on number of days elapsed.

    When you created the Accrual Plan the application would have created an Accrual Element, i'm sorry i can't quite remember the naming format of the element.
    However you need to attach this element to your employee from the assignment, once you attach this element the employee assignment has been enrolled in the accrual plan.

    Yes. Same element can be attached to different accrual plans.

  • Accrual Plan Adjustment

    Hi All
    In my organization, whenever an employee takes more than 4 days of 'Annual Leave' in a week, in order to discourage this, 1 day of 'Annual Leave' will be deducted from their Accrual plan. I have created an information element 'Annual Leave Adjustment' with input values of 'Adjusted Days' and 'Adjusted Date' and I have included this in the Accrual Plan.
    I have written an SQL procedure wherein I will find out the number of leaves taken in a week and then I will calculate the number of 'Annual Leaves' to be deducted and pass the number of days to be deducted to the element 'Annual Leave Adjustment' using fast formula.
    Now whenever the payroll is run, the Accrual plan should get deducted by the number of days I passed through 'Annual Leave Adjustment'.
    But what's happening is that, after running the payroll when I see the Run Results, it is calculating the number of days, but when I go to accruals window and see the results, the input value 'Adjusted Days' is showing zero value.
    Is is possible and correct to calculate in this manner and also is it possible to do this calculation without running the payroll?

    1. You may do the relevant coding in the "BG_ABSENCE_DURATION"
    i.e. when the leave days is 4 days or more in a week make the leave duration as "5 days" instead of "4 days".
    2. Have you selected the Payroll balance option while creating the accrual plan?
    If not, then you just need to make an element entry for adjustment element with the relevant value.
    If yes, you will have to run the payroll for the balance to get updated.
    3. You may also code a concurrent program to be run every month which will populate the element entry.
    4. You may add the code in the carry over FF to incorporate your logic.

    Can we use the Benefit Eligibilities (which has a lot of parameters) for Accrual Plan Eligibility , or is it[u] limited only to "standard Link" .
    The problem is that we need personal parameters for Eligibility Rules for Accrual Plan.

  • Accrual plan  and accrual band ... can it be date tracked

    Is there a way we can date track accrual bands on the accrual plan.
    The client want the new accrual band be effective as of 01-apr-2011. Can we date track the accrual bands.
    If not what is the best way to make such a change. Accrual formula change is the only way I can think of. Any other suggestions?

    Accrual bands are not date-tracked, no.
    I steer clear of Accrual Bands altogether because it forces you to create separate Accrual Plans for each sets of T&Cs, which I don't like. Instead what I do is:
    * Model the accrual bands in a custom User Defined Table (range-based)
    * Use the column as something that determines various T&Cs, eg, Grade
    * Use the Rows to define each Accrual Band for each set of T&Cs, which the Value being the amount of holiday
    I then use the GET_TABLE_VALUE Fast Formula function to retrieve the value according to the employee's T&Cs.
    Importantly, User Defined Tables are of course date-tracked as well.

    Are you saying the Accrual balance is going negative and you don't want to let that happen ?
    If that is the case then it is the intended behavior. If you dont want to let negative balances then you need to add this validation in a user hook for the absence API to stop the users from creating absence requests that will result in negative accrual balances.

    Number of days: 30 Days (Working Days)
    Employees Carry forward for 2 years (60 Days)
    Plan started in 01-Jan and end in 31-Dec for each year
    note : I want to give him all Balance if calculation date in any time of period of year
    for example if accrual plan 21 in year and calc date in 01-02-2011 then entitlement 21.

    Try to change the credit information from your iphone or other ios device. Tap on settings > store > tap Apple ID > tap view account > tap payment information > change
