Select Unused Items Selects Too Much

I am attempting to use Select Unused Items to delete unused
items in my library. I am using Flash Basic 8.0.
I have objects in my library which are Exported for run time
sharing. These objects contain textures. Despite the fact that
these are exported when I do Select Unused Items, it selects many
of these "Used" textures and deletes them. If I expand the related
movie clips and then do it again, sometimes it will stop selecting
those items.
I have tried "Keep Use Counts Updated". I have also tried
"Update Use Counts Now". The same results in either case. Why would
it be unable to maintain my Use Counts accurately?

Well, it is definitely not working. It seems to not be able
to tell if an item that is Exported for Runtime Sharing is used or
not. I know for sure that it is deleting things that it shouldn't
because:
a) The swf size changes
b) On some files it deletes all of the textures just leaving
behind empty movie clips. Those movie clips are all marked as
Export for Runtime Sharing.
c) Some of the items that it selects actually have a Use
Count greater than zero.
Though the size of the flash file doesn't matter, the
complexity does. I have inherited these files and I am trying to
clean them up so that they will be easier to work with in the long
run. If I have to clean them up manually it is going to be a lot
more time consuming.

  • CP5: Select Unused Items in Library selects NOTHING

When I open my Captivate 5 project I am warned about a large amount of unused items in my library.
To clean it up I open my Library and rightclick, then click Select Unused Items.
However, nothing at all is selected, even though I can see many assets that has a '0' in their usage count column.
This behaviour is somewhat glitchy; other projects has it working fine.
Any tips to how to get Select Unused Items to do as stated on the tin?

    Hi ,
I would recommend you to try Clearing teh Cache of your Pojects that you had been working lately .
By Edit > Prefernces> General>Project Cache and Select Clear Cache to remove them.
and also try to recreate the Prefernces files over there by :
    Adobe Captivate 5:
    Close Adobe Captivate.
    Locate the preference folder:
Windows Vista and Windows 7: C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 5 folder
    Windows XP:  C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 5 folder
    Mac:  /Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Captivate 5 folder
Rename the preference fAdobe Captivate Folder
Restart Adobe Captivate. A new configuration folder is automatically created.
    I hope that it helps!
    Good Luck!
    Vishal!

  • Library setting to auto delete unused items?

First, the library hides itself and will not show. And when
it does show itself, the delete icon is so far over to the right
that I have to modify the window size each time I need to delete
something. Why does it store all this stuff that I don't want. If I
delete the slide that contained the objects--it means I want it
deleted. Is there a setting that I can check that tells Captivate
to delete objects when I delete the slide? It would save me the
step of accessing the library, finding the trash, and select unused
items every time I save my file...?

    Hi Giuseppe,
Teun is absolutely correct, but keep in mind that the verification will be made only against system forms/objects. If the Item is used in a user form/UDO no verification is performed.

  • I selected manually manage music for my iTouch yet it keeps trying to sync to my entire music library.  I do not want that as it is taking up too much space.  How can I stop my iTouch from continuing to try and sync so I can manually manage my music?

How do I get my iTouch to manually manage my music?  I selected manually manage, yet every time I hook my iTouch to my computer, it attempts to sync and load my entire library.  I do not want the entire library as it takes up too much space and I don't want all of those songs on my iTouch.  What am I missing?  What else can I do?

Oops, sorry, I think you probably already did what I suggested (turning off auto synch).
I have the same question - how to synch, say, just one playlist.
There is an option to synch only things that are checked. But everything (in every playlist and item, is checked and there doesn't appear to be a box to "uncheck all", nor can you check each playlist individually.

  • CO 1SRJ-001: Too many line items selected via report interface

Report group/report 1SRJ/1SRJ-001 (CCentres: Rolling Year):  provides an overview for the last 12 periods of actual and plan data.
When you access line item report RKAEP000 (KSB1 or KSBP) from report Cost Centres Rolling Year (1SRJ-001) using the report/report interface, too much data is selected.
For example, you enter fiscal year 2009 and month 8 in selection parameters, the report generates results for the last 12 periods:  2008/9 to 2009/8.  But the line item report accessed via report interface selected ALL data for the fiscal years 2008 and 2009.
I searched and found Note 127643 that described a similar but not exactly the same situation.  Have anyone have any problems with this report?  Any suggestion is appreicated.
    Regards,

Issue with report 1SRJ-001 (S_ALR_87013631) has been resolved.  The interfaced line item report selects all data records for fiscal years 2008 and 2009, instead of just for the selected last 12 months.  The problem is due to missing restrictions for a characteristic, in this case, the from-period and to-period fields.
SAP has corrected the problem by issuing an updated version (1999) and the one we were using was the 1995 version.  I imported the updated version of report from client 000 and now it works fine.

  • Can't select menu items in top 25% of the browser window much of the time.

Running Windows 7 Pro on a new (2-months) HP Ultrabook with FF 15.0.1. Many times, selectable items do not work, but generally in the top 20-30% of the browser window. With the pointer hovering over selections, it does not change to indicate is a selectable item, nor will it let you select. It happens on well-known websites such as Yahoo!, HP, etc. It doesn't do this all the time, but I'd say at least 50% of the time, even if you reload the page and allow all sites with NoScript. There is no filtering warning.

That problem can be caused by an extension like the Yahoo! Toolbar or a Babylon extension that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links and buttons in that part of the screen not clickable.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

    Ways of Performance Tuning
    1.     Selection Criteria
    2.     Select Statements
    •     Select Queries
    •     SQL Interface
    •     Aggregate Functions
    •     For all Entries
Select Over more than one internal table
    Selection Criteria
    1.     Restrict the data to the selection criteria itself, rather than filtering it out using the ABAP code using CHECK statement.
    2.     Select with selection list.
SELECT * FROM SBOOK INTO SBOOK_WA.
      CHECK: SBOOK_WA-CARRID = 'LH' AND
             SBOOK_WA-CONNID = '0400'.
    ENDSELECT.
The above code can be much more optimized by the code written below which avoids CHECK, selects with selection list
SELECT  CARRID CONNID FLDATE BOOKID FROM SBOOK INTO TABLE T_SBOOK
      WHERE SBOOK_WA-CARRID = 'LH' AND
                  SBOOK_WA-CONNID = '0400'.
    Select Statements   Select Queries
    1.     Avoid nested selects
SELECT * FROM EKKO INTO EKKO_WA.
SELECT * FROM EKAN INTO EKAN_WA
          WHERE EBELN = EKKO_WA-EBELN.
      ENDSELECT.
    ENDSELECT.
The above code can be much more optimized by the code written below.
    SELECT PF1 PF2 FF3 FF4 INTO TABLE ITAB
FROM EKKO AS P INNER JOIN EKAN AS F
          ON PEBELN = FEBELN.
Note: A simple SELECT loop is a single database access whose result is passed to the ABAP program line by line. Nested SELECT loops mean that the number of accesses in the inner loop is multiplied by the number of accesses in the outer loop. One should therefore use nested SELECT loops only if the selection in the outer loop contains very few lines or the outer loop is a SELECT SINGLE statement.
    2.     Select all the records in a single shot using into table clause of select statement rather than to use Append statements.
SELECT * FROM SBOOK INTO SBOOK_WA.
      CHECK: SBOOK_WA-CARRID = 'LH' AND
             SBOOK_WA-CONNID = '0400'.
    ENDSELECT.
The above code can be much more optimized by the code written below which avoids CHECK, selects with selection list and puts the data in one shot using into table
SELECT  CARRID CONNID FLDATE BOOKID FROM SBOOK INTO TABLE T_SBOOK
      WHERE SBOOK_WA-CARRID = 'LH' AND
                  SBOOK_WA-CONNID = '0400'.
    3.     When a base table has multiple indices, the where clause should be in the order of the index, either a primary or a secondary index.
To choose an index, the optimizer checks the field names specified in the where clause and then uses an index that has the same order of the fields. In certain scenarios, it is advisable to check whether a new index can speed up the performance of a program. This will come handy in programs that access data from the finance tables.
    4.     For testing existence, use Select.. Up to 1 rows statement instead of a Select-Endselect-loop with an Exit.
SELECT * FROM SBOOK INTO SBOOK_WA
      UP TO 1 ROWS
      WHERE CARRID = 'LH'.
    ENDSELECT.
The above code is more optimized as compared to the code mentioned below for testing existence of a record.
SELECT * FROM SBOOK INTO SBOOK_WA
        WHERE CARRID = 'LH'.
      EXIT.
    ENDSELECT.
    5.     Use Select Single if all primary key fields are supplied in the Where condition .
If all primary key fields are supplied in the Where conditions you can even use Select Single.
Select Single requires one communication with the database system, whereas Select-Endselect needs two.
    Select Statements SQL Interface
    1.     Use column updates instead of single-row updates
    to update your database tables.
SELECT * FROM SFLIGHT INTO SFLIGHT_WA.
      SFLIGHT_WA-SEATSOCC =
        SFLIGHT_WA-SEATSOCC - 1.
      UPDATE SFLIGHT FROM SFLIGHT_WA.
    ENDSELECT.
The above mentioned code can be more optimized by using the following code
    UPDATE SFLIGHT
           SET SEATSOCC = SEATSOCC - 1.
    2.     For all frequently used Select statements, try to use an index.
SELECT * FROM SBOOK CLIENT SPECIFIED INTO SBOOK_WA
      WHERE CARRID = 'LH'
        AND CONNID = '0400'.
    ENDSELECT.
The above mentioned code can be more optimized by using the following code
SELECT * FROM SBOOK CLIENT SPECIFIED INTO SBOOK_WA
WHERE MANDT IN ( SELECT MANDT FROM T000 )
        AND CARRID = 'LH'
        AND CONNID = '0400'.
    ENDSELECT.
    3.     Using buffered tables improves the performance considerably.
Bypassing the buffer increases the network considerably
    SELECT SINGLE * FROM T100 INTO T100_WA
      BYPASSING BUFFER
      WHERE     SPRSL = 'D'
            AND ARBGB = '00'
            AND MSGNR = '999'.
The above mentioned code can be more optimized by using the following code
    SELECT SINGLE * FROM T100  INTO T100_WA
      WHERE     SPRSL = 'D'
            AND ARBGB = '00'
            AND MSGNR = '999'.
    Select Statements  Aggregate Functions
    •     If you want to find the maximum, minimum, sum and average value or the count of a database column, use a select list with aggregate functions instead of computing the aggregates yourself.
Some of the Aggregate functions allowed in SAP are  MAX, MIN, AVG, SUM, COUNT, COUNT( * )
    Consider the following extract.
                Maxno = 0.
Select * from zflight where airln = ‘LF’ and cntry = ‘IN’.
                 Check zflight-fligh > maxno.
                 Maxno = zflight-fligh.
                Endselect.
The  above mentioned code can be much more optimized by using the following code.
Select max( fligh ) from zflight into maxno where airln = ‘LF’ and cntry = ‘IN’.
    Select Statements  For All Entries
    •     The for all entries creates a where clause, where all the entries in the driver table are combined with OR. If the number of entries in the driver table is larger than rsdb/max_blocking_factor, several similar SQL statements are executed to limit the length of the WHERE clause.
         The plus
    •     Large amount of data
    •     Mixing processing and reading of data
    •     Fast internal reprocessing of data
    •     Fast
         The Minus
    •     Difficult to program/understand
    •     Memory could be critical (use FREE or PACKAGE size)
Points to be must considered FOR ALL ENTRIES
    •     Check that data is present in the driver table
    •     Sorting the driver table
    •     Removing duplicates from the driver table
Consider the following piece of extract
              Loop at int_cntry.
Select single * from zfligh into int_fligh
      where cntry = int_cntry-cntry.
      Append int_fligh.
                          Endloop.
The above mentioned can be more optimized by using the following code.
    Sort int_cntry by cntry.
    Delete adjacent duplicates from int_cntry.
    If NOT int_cntry[] is INITIAL.
Select * from zfligh appending table int_fligh
                For all entries in int_cntry
                Where cntry = int_cntry-cntry.
    Endif.
Select Statements Select Over more than one Internal table
    1.     Its better to use a views instead of nested Select statements.
    SELECT * FROM DD01L INTO DD01L_WA
      WHERE DOMNAME LIKE 'CHAR%'
            AND AS4LOCAL = 'A'.
      SELECT SINGLE * FROM DD01T INTO DD01T_WA
        WHERE   DOMNAME    = DD01L_WA-DOMNAME
            AND AS4LOCAL   = 'A'
            AND AS4VERS    = DD01L_WA-AS4VERS
            AND DDLANGUAGE = SY-LANGU.
    ENDSELECT.
The above code can be more optimized by extracting all the data from view DD01V_WA
    SELECT * FROM DD01V INTO  DD01V_WA
      WHERE DOMNAME LIKE 'CHAR%'
            AND DDLANGUAGE = SY-LANGU.
    ENDSELECT
    2.     To read data from several logically connected tables use a join instead of nested Select statements. Joins are preferred only if all the primary key are available in WHERE clause for the tables that are joined. If the primary keys are not provided in join the Joining of tables itself takes time.
    3.     Instead of using nested Select loops it is often better to use subqueries.
    SELECT * FROM SPFLI
      INTO TABLE T_SPFLI
      WHERE CITYFROM = 'FRANKFURT'
        AND CITYTO = 'NEW YORK'.
SELECT * FROM SFLIGHT AS F
        INTO SFLIGHT_WA
        FOR ALL ENTRIES IN T_SPFLI
        WHERE SEATSOCC < F~SEATSMAX
          AND CARRID = T_SPFLI-CARRID
          AND CONNID = T_SPFLI-CONNID
AND FLDATE BETWEEN '19990101' AND '19990331'.
    ENDSELECT.
The above mentioned code can be even more optimized by using subqueries instead of for all entries.
SELECT * FROM SFLIGHT AS F INTO SFLIGHT_WA
        WHERE SEATSOCC < F~SEATSMAX
AND EXISTS ( SELECT * FROM SPFLI
                         WHERE CARRID = F~CARRID
                           AND CONNID = F~CONNID
                           AND CITYFROM = 'FRANKFURT'
AND CITYTO = 'NEW YORK' )
AND FLDATE BETWEEN '19990101' AND '19990331'.
    ENDSELECT.
    1.     Table operations should be done using explicit work areas rather than via header lines.
READ TABLE ITAB INTO WA WITH KEY K = 'X‘ BINARY SEARCH.
    IS MUCH FASTER THAN USING
READ TABLE ITAB INTO WA WITH KEY K = 'X'.
If TAB has n entries, linear search runs in O( n ) time, whereas binary search takes only O( log2( n ) ).
    2.     Always try to use binary search instead of linear search. But don’t forget to sort your internal table before that.
READ TABLE ITAB INTO WA WITH KEY K = 'X'. IS FASTER THAN USING
READ TABLE ITAB INTO WA WITH KEY (NAME) = 'X'.
    3.     A dynamic key access is slower than a static one, since the key specification must be evaluated at runtime.
    4.     A binary search using secondary index takes considerably less time.
    5.     LOOP ... WHERE is faster than LOOP/CHECK because LOOP ... WHERE evaluates the specified condition internally.
LOOP AT ITAB INTO WA WHERE K = 'X'.
    ENDLOOP.
The above code is much faster than using
    LOOP AT ITAB INTO WA.
      CHECK WA-K = 'X'.
    ENDLOOP.
    6.     Modifying selected components using “ MODIFY itab …TRANSPORTING f1 f2.. “ accelerates the task of updating  a line of an internal table.
    WA-DATE = SY-DATUM.
MODIFY ITAB FROM WA INDEX 1 TRANSPORTING DATE.
The above code is more optimized as compared to
    WA-DATE = SY-DATUM.
MODIFY ITAB FROM WA INDEX 1.
    7.     Accessing the table entries directly in a "LOOP ... ASSIGNING ..." accelerates the task of updating a set of lines of an internal table considerably
Modifying selected components only makes the program faster as compared to Modifying all lines completely.
    e.g,
    LOOP AT ITAB ASSIGNING <WA>.
      I = SY-TABIX MOD 2.
      IF I = 0.
        <WA>-FLAG = 'X'.
      ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
The above code works faster as compared to
    LOOP AT ITAB INTO WA.
      I = SY-TABIX MOD 2.
      IF I = 0.
        WA-FLAG = 'X'.
        MODIFY ITAB FROM WA.
      ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
    8.    If collect semantics is required, it is always better to use to COLLECT rather than READ BINARY and then ADD.
    LOOP AT ITAB1 INTO WA1.
      READ TABLE ITAB2 INTO WA2 WITH KEY K = WA1-K BINARY SEARCH.
      IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
        ADD: WA1-VAL1 TO WA2-VAL1,
             WA1-VAL2 TO WA2-VAL2.
        MODIFY ITAB2 FROM WA2 INDEX SY-TABIX TRANSPORTING VAL1 VAL2.
      ELSE.
        INSERT WA1 INTO ITAB2 INDEX SY-TABIX.
      ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
The above code uses BINARY SEARCH for collect semantics. READ BINARY runs in O( log2(n) ) time. The above piece of code can be more optimized by
    LOOP AT ITAB1 INTO WA.
      COLLECT WA INTO ITAB2.
    ENDLOOP.
    SORT ITAB2 BY K.
COLLECT, however, uses a hash algorithm and is therefore independent
of the number of entries (i.e. O(1)) .
    9.    "APPEND LINES OF itab1 TO itab2" accelerates the task of appending a table to another table considerably as compared to “ LOOP-APPEND-ENDLOOP.”
APPEND LINES OF ITAB1 TO ITAB2.
This is more optimized as compared to
    LOOP AT ITAB1 INTO WA.
      APPEND WA TO ITAB2.
    ENDLOOP.
    10.   “DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATES“ accelerates the task of deleting duplicate entries considerably as compared to “ READ-LOOP-DELETE-ENDLOOP”.
DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATES FROM ITAB COMPARING K.
This is much more optimized as compared to
READ TABLE ITAB INDEX 1 INTO PREV_LINE.
LOOP AT ITAB FROM 2 INTO WA.
      IF WA = PREV_LINE.
        DELETE ITAB.
      ELSE.
        PREV_LINE = WA.
      ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
    11.   "DELETE itab FROM ... TO ..." accelerates the task of deleting a sequence of lines considerably as compared to “  DO -DELETE-ENDDO”.
DELETE ITAB FROM 450 TO 550.
This is much more optimized as compared to
    DO 101 TIMES.
      DELETE ITAB INDEX 450.
    ENDDO.
    12.   Copying internal tables by using “ITAB2[ ] = ITAB1[ ]” as compared to “LOOP-APPEND-ENDLOOP”.
    ITAB2[] = ITAB1[].
This is much more optimized as compared to
    REFRESH ITAB2.
    LOOP AT ITAB1 INTO WA.
      APPEND WA TO ITAB2.
    ENDLOOP.
    13.   Specify the sort key as restrictively as possible to run the program faster.
“SORT ITAB BY K.” makes the program runs faster as compared to “SORT ITAB.”
    Internal Tables         contd…
    Hashed and Sorted tables
    1.     For single read access hashed tables are more optimized as compared to sorted tables.
    2.      For partial sequential access sorted tables are more optimized as compared to hashed tables
    Hashed And Sorted Tables
    Point # 1
Consider the following example where HTAB is a hashed table and STAB is a sorted table
    DO 250 TIMES.
      N = 4 * SY-INDEX.
READ TABLE HTAB INTO WA WITH TABLE KEY K = N.
      IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
      ENDIF.
    ENDDO.
This runs faster for single read access as compared to the following same code for sorted table
    DO 250 TIMES.
      N = 4 * SY-INDEX.
READ TABLE STAB INTO WA WITH TABLE KEY K = N.
      IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
      ENDIF.
    ENDDO.
    Point # 2
Similarly for Partial Sequential access the STAB runs faster as compared to HTAB
LOOP AT STAB INTO WA WHERE K = SUBKEY.
    ENDLOOP.
This runs faster as compared to
LOOP AT HTAB INTO WA WHERE K = SUBKEY.
    ENDLOOP.

  • SSRS 2012 (SP Integrated) report on SP 2013 PerformancePoint Dashboard: when too many filter items selected together report does not update anymore!

I already know that the cause of the issue is in the length of the query (perhapse RDL or MDX) that the browser is supposed to pass on to the instance of SSAS.
Some people had suggested a workaround that was suitable for older versions or non-integrated SSRS (see here: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/cb6ede72-6ed1-4379-9d3c-847c11b75b32/report-manager-operation-cannot-run-due-to-current-state-of-the-object).
Knowing this, have already done the changes suggested (adding the lines suggested to SP's web.config for Reporting and the web.config of the site on which report is rendred) at no avail, just to make sure.
I have rednered the same report on the same dashboard using SSRS filters and there is no problem; it just works fine. This has to be a bug in PP that is causing this.
Has anyone had the same problem with SSRS 2012 (SP-integrated) report rendered on SP 2013 PP dashboard using PP filter? Any fixes or workarounds?
    thnx!

    Hello everybody.
I confirm the issue in Service Pack 1 Release 2.
Poor workaround is to remove the repeated infromation from the member keys (in SSAS they can be really long).
The issue seems to be specific to SSRS: Excel Services works well with the same filter.

  • Select selecting too much

I guess I have managed to tap a keyboard shortcut by mistake. Because now everytime I selecting something from within a tag dreamweaver tries to help and selects about another 250 words and lines of code that I dont want. This is really annoying. I have been through all the menus but cant find anyway of turning this off permantly. If I click "select parent" just before selecting it does just select what I want. But on next coming select we are back to dreamweaver having a mind of its on.
There was a thread here in october 2009 but the user could not make the expert understand, the expert said "turn off your pc, walk round the neighbourhood, come back and learn the program properly. The user was rude and the expert logged out of the thread.
This is a paste from that thread.
Select it, go to page and paste, oops wrong stuff, go back and repeat sometime 2-3 times until you get the alt key tap right.  Select a text word or phrase to paste over and it turns blue, tap alt key until it is gray, sometimes 1 times sometimes 3 before it works.
I hope I have better luck, I consider myself a dreamweaver expert wannabee and find it easy to learn and use - except for this and its driving my hair mad.

Selecting in code, but as said it selects too much. Guess there is a hidden keyboard shortcut I have managed to toggle on. Now I need to toggle it off.
    Example
I have php code inbetween opening and closing php tags,
It opens at line 16 and closes at line 49.
If I select the lines 34+35 with the mouse they and only they remain highlighted for select,
I copy in one of three ways, from menu, from right mouse button menu or with ctrl+c, and regardless of which method the result of the copy is that dreamweaver has now selected the entire php code from line 16 to 49 and placed it in the mouse clip, if I paste somewhere all 34 lines of code are pasted. The lines 16-49 are not selected prior to copy they are selected by the copy command. (Something to do with select parent, I think as if I click once on select parent after marking lines 34+35 and prior to copying then I just get the correct lines 34+35 copied. )
I need to turn this very annoying bug off.
    Please help
Please..... this is no good for my hair

  • Selecting from partition is taking too much time

    Hi
    1) there are two major differences between the plans: serial vs parallel and NESTED LOOPS SEMI vs HASH JOIN SEMI
    2) NESTED LOOPS look like a bad choice here, and it also looks like the optimizer badly underestimates it's real cost. Which is a bit odd, because it knows that the outer rowsource has 2701K, i.e. the inner operation would have to be executed 2701K times. Looks like an optimizer glitch, which brings us to the point that Dan has already raised here: you shouldn't be running on an old unsupported version
    3) regarding serial vs parallel: it could be due to difference in session settings (ALTER SESSION ENABLE/DISABLE PARALLEL QUERY)
    4) the two plans have different values of the filter against rollup_id (7 vs 11), so one possible reason for different behavior is the histogram on SEARCH_MEMBE_PROVIDER_ROLLUP.rollup_id. If you can reproduce the issue on a test database, re-gather stats on this table without histograms (method_opt=>'for all columns size 1', no_invalidate=>false) and see if the problem goes away

  • Since the recent Firefox update, our customers can no longer place items selected for purchase into the shopping cart; what is the cause and the fix?

Since Firefox was recently updated, customers who use Firefox as their browser can no longer place items selected at our e-commerce site into their shopping cart. We are not experiencing this problem with customers who use IE as their browser.

I created a brand new blank Captivate 6 file, applied a theme, inserted a few new slides and tried Preview.  It worked!  All four of the Captivate files I used in my previous testing were based on one file which hadn't been touched for two weeks.  Somehow while working in the lastest file, either removing unused items from the Library or killing errors while Publishing, something somewhere got corrupted or removed.  Something that all four files must have pointed to, since as soon as the latest file broke, all of the other files stopped working as well.  Since the original file was inherited, I'm not even sure how to  go about finding the problem.  In my case, it won't be too big of a deal.  I will create a clean template file and rebuild.
    Thanks for your help!

  • Select CiscoIPPhoneMenu Item

I saw a post similar to this that was two years old. There wasn't really an solution to that question, so I am posting this version of the question. Is there a way to programmatically select an item in a CiscoIPMenu item based on what the user selected previously? The scenario is that someone selects an item in the menu, presses a detail button, and the presses an exit button on the detail page to return to the original menu list. The caveat is that the original menu list may have changed, so we need to reload the previous page instead of just using SoftKey:Exit to reload the most recent history. The highlighted menu item defaults back to the top of the list after the page load, and our user is not happy with that. Since there does not seem to be a direct way to do it on the XML object, I was looking at somehow programmatically pressing the keypad for the user but can't figure out how to coordinate this with the page reload for the menu list. Am I overlooking something simple. Has anyone found a resolution to this problem?
    Thanks,
    -Judy

Have you tried a CiscoIPPhoneExecute with uri Key:KeypadX?
Though, I suspect that would just lead to the menu item being selected again.
    But there's also Key:NavDown.
So I figure you might be able to send the appropriate number of Key:NavDown commands to the phone. In order to have this done in suitable speed, you should limit the number of menu items, and have a server side (J)TAPI app which pushes the keys to the phone.. as the http push requires authentication and that slows things down too much.
Note sure if the effort is worth it though and if you can really achive fast enough operation.

  • Passing DB values to the textbox based on Select Value item

    Hi,
I am very much new to the Oracle APEX. In my project, I have a requirement wherein I have to pass the different values to the corresponding textboxes on a different page based on the value I select from the "Select Value" item.
I have tried using calling On-Demand Processes, but couldn't get the desired result.
    Please suggest!

    Hi 796444 ,
Welcome to the forum. It will be good if you familiarize yourself with the forum ettiquittes. Also, when posting always state the following:
    a. Apex version
    b. DB version
    c. Web server ; EPG, apexlistener, etc
    d. Provide adequate details for others to understand your problem / what you are trying to achieve.
    e. Any code snippets you post should be enclosed in a pair of tags
If your current problem is that the you are *calling* Page 2 from Page 1, and while doing so you want the value of P1_ITEM1 to be passed and set in p2_ITEM1 then
    a. Edit the branch
    b. In Action in Set these items write P2_ITEM1
    c. In With these values write &P1_ITEM1. (do not miss the dot at the end)
It looks good if you use a better handle than 796444 :-)

  • How can I select an item from a list component with a seperate button

This is a repost, I decided it'd probably be better here than
in the general discussion board. I will try to delete the other
    one.
    Hello Everyone,
This is my first post here. I am trying to figure out how to
select an item within a list component with a button. This button
is calling a function. I have searched for the past 3 hours online
and I can't find anything about it. I thought perhaps I could set
the selectedItem parameter, but that is read only, and I believe it
returns an object reference rather than something like a number so
even if i could set it, it would be pointless. I also found a get
focus button, thought that may lead me somewhere, but I think that
is for setting which component has focus currently as far as typing
in and things like that. I am lost.
Basically I am looking for a way to type this
myList.setSelected(5); where 5 is the 5th item in the list.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Never mind found it. It is the property called selectedIndex
    and it is writable

  • How do I select multiple items?

Happy New Year.  I am a new Mac user.  Recently switched from Windows.  How do I select multiple rows?  In windows you can CONTROL+click to select multiple items 1 at a time and SHIFT+click to select multiple items in groups.  I figured out to do COMMAND+click on Mac to select multiples 1 at a time.  I need to delete ALOT of rows.  How do I select multiples in groups?
    Thanks.

KarenSelena and BobHarris have given you the direct sequences.
You can also select multiple disjoint ranges with combinations of ⌘ (command key) click and ⇑ (shift key) click, too.
As you use OS X, you'll find a large number of ⌘ and ⇑ and ˄ (control key) and ⌥ (option key) clicks and shortcuts available (and some were mentioned earlier), and shortcuts such as ⌘ A (select all), ⌘ Z (undo) and a whole host of other shortcuts available.
Here is Apple's Mac 101 / Mac Basics site, which has a good (and free) introduction toward learning to use your Mac.
